John Sudholz (born 1 May 1946) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the VFL. Sudholz was a strongly built full- forward from the Victorian town of Rupanyup and made his debut for South Melbourne in 1966. He topped the club's goal kicking for four successive seasons from 1967 to 1970. His best season tally was 60 goals in 1970 in what was a good year for forwards with three of them kicking over 100, Hudson, McKenna and Jesaulenko.

Phillip Ambrose "Phil" Tierney (born 15 March 1942) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with East Perth in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL) during the 1960s. Tierney was a prolific full-forward, kicking over 100 goals in a season on three occasions and topping East Perth's goal-kicking five times. Due to his career coinciding with that of Austin Robertson, Jr., Tierney won the Bernie Naylor Medal as the league's top goal scorer just once, with 119 goals in 1967. Gadget also felt the ideas and concepts behind his live performances were just as important. Leg techniques demand more bodily movement (high kicks tend to lower the torso in order to increase leg reach, while requiring shorter, looser and more mobile fighting stances and larger, more sweeping movements to generate greater kicking power) and these changes soon came to characterize the Korean styles (which became more sweeping, circular and continuous in their motion).

An early promotional music video was made of its title song, and a bizarre television commercial was also filmed that included excerpts from Woe- Is-uh-Me-Bop, silent footage of masked Magic Band members using kitchen utensils as musical instruments, and Beefheart kicking over a bowl of what appears to be porridge onto a dividing stripe in the middle of a road. Playing mainly at Half forward but also at times playing Full-forward, Lindner kicked 77 goals for the season and along with regular full-forward Roger Luders (who kicked 105 for the season) and forward player Mike Smith, West Adelaide had the most potent attack in the league, the three kicking over 220 between them. This, combined with their fast and skillful ruck and mid-field plus a tough back line saw The Bloods win 18 of their 22 minor round games to finish minor premiers and easily won their way into the 1983 SANFL Grand Final with a 76-point win over reigning premiers in the Second Semi-final. Playing at half forward in the Grand Final in front of 47,129 fans at Football Park, Lindner kicked five goals, including a 60-metre goal from the centre square only seconds before the final siren, described by Channel 7 TV commentator Robert Oatey as having "really pile driven this one", as West defeated Sturt 21.16.(142) to 16.12.

Critic Robert Christgau said of the record: "Beefheart's famous five-octave range and covert totalitarian structures have taken on a playful undertone, repulsive and engrossing and slapstick funny." Lester Bangs noted the maturation of Beefheart’s previous musical and lyrical concerns, writing that "even though the sonic textures are sometimes even more complex and angular than on Trout Mask, ... his messages are universal and warm as the hearth of the America we once dreamed of". Due to John Peel's championing of the work on BBC radio, Lick My Decals Off, Baby spent eleven weeks on the UK Albums Chart, peaking at number twenty. This remains Beefheart's highest-charting album in the UK. An early promotional music video was made of its title song, and a bizarre television commercial was also filmed that included excerpts from "Woe-Is-uh- Me-Bop", silent footage of masked Magic Band members using kitchen utensils as musical instruments, and Beefheart kicking over a bowl of what appears to be porridge onto a dividing stripe in the middle of a road.
