Heil Valley () is an ice-free valley, long, that indents the northern part of V-shaped Mount Littlepage in the Head Mountains of Victoria Land. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 2007 after Joseph J. Heil III, supervisor of the communications center at McMurdo Station for 11 austral summers from 1993; he served 18 summers and two winters in support of the United States Antarctic Program from 1987 to 2007.

It is endemic to Taiwan, and was first found in mid-altitude mountains of central Taiwan.Its body is black colored with longitudinal indents on its elytra, and is capable of flight. The variations in shapes of its prothorax and in male genital sizes from changes in forest habitats were discussed in a research article in Entomological Society of America 2018 annal journal.

Rymill Bay () is a bay in Antarctica. It is wide at its mouth and indents between Red Rock Ridge and Bertrand Ice Piedmont along the west coast of Graham Land. Rymill Bay was probably first seen from a distance by the French Antarctic Expedition under Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1909. The bay was first surveyed in 1936 by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE), and was resurveyed in 1948 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS).

Bergy Bits at Shingle Cove Iceberg Bay is a bay wide, which indents the south coast of Coronation Island between Cape Hansen and Olivine Point, in the South Orkney Islands, Antarctica. It was named by Matthew Brisbane, who roughly charted the south coast of Coronation Island under the direction of James Weddell in 1823. Beaufoy Ridge and Sunshine Glacier lie close north of Iceberg Bay. Shingle Cove is a small sheltered cove in the northwest corner of Iceberg Bay.

Lystad Bay Lystad Bay () is a bay wide which indents the west side of Horseshoe Island, in the northeast part of Marguerite Bay, Antarctica. It was first surveyed in 1936–37 by the British Graham Land Expedition under John Rymill, and was visited by the USMS North Star and of the United States Antarctic Service in 1940. The name was proposed by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Captain Isak Lystad of the North Star.

In 1992, Antena 3 and Telecinco repositioned their DOGs in the bottom-right, making it the same as TVE. TV3, an Autonomical Channel of Catalonia, used DOGs from 1991, earlier shown only alongside clock indents, and from 1994 until 1999, showed DOGs throughout broadcasting. From 1991 the DOG was removed during advertisements.

Shmidt Point marks the north extremity of Arrowsmith Peninsula. It was sketched from the air in 1937 by the British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) under John Riddoch Rymill and named in 1954 for Otto Schmidt, director of the Arctic Institute at Leningrad and leader of many Arctic expeditions. Langmuir Cove indents the north end of the peninsula, just to the west of Shmidt Point. It was named for Irving Langmuir, an American physicist who studied the formation of snow.

A large part of Liverpool Land is mountainous, the Didrik Pining Range and the Heywood Range are located in the peninsula. Warming Island is located approximately off the northeastern tip of Liverpool Land. Storefjord indents the peninsula from the east about , almost cutting it into two. The southern coast of Liverpool Land is the location of the town of Ittoqqortoormiit and of the abandoned settlements of Itterajivit, and Uunarteq at the southernmost tip of Liverpool Land.

Squillace ( Skylletion; Skylakion) is an ancient town and comune, in the Province of Catanzaro, part of Calabria, southern Italy, facing the Gulf of Squillace. Squillace is situated near the east coast of Calabria, close to the shores of an extensive bay, the Gulf of Squillace (), which indents the coast of Calabria on the east as deeply as that of the Gulf of Saint Euphemia (Italian: Golfo di Sant'Eufemia) does on the west, with a comparatively narrow isthmus between them.

The church contains several imposing monuments, notably to members of the Wroughton and Glanville families.Pevsner & Cherry, 1975, page 147 There are indents of two lost brasses in the chancel, both knights in armour. The earlier was probably to William Wroughton (died 1392) and the later was certainly to his grandson, John Wroughton (died 1429). The monument to John's great great grandson, Sir William Wroughton (died 1559), is early Elizabethan, canopied, and shows influence of the previous Perpendicular Gothic style.

Aerial photography, satellite images, and high-resolution lidar data hinted that the hill known as el-Manach contained traces of artificial, human produced objects and structures. After this, slight depressions in the earth revealed the borders of the military camp itself. Long, linear indents that met at 90 degree angles were found on the north, south, and west side of the hill. The following evidence led to the use of archaeological techniques to further discover the uncovered items at Legio.

The Honnør Glacier flows into the sea east of it, north of the Byvågåsane Peaks. North of that, still on the east shore, a small bight called Breidvåg Bight ("broad bay") indents the coast just west of Breidvågnipa Peak. Its north point, just southwest of Mount Hiroe, is called Hiroe Point ("broad bay point"). Continuing north, a bare rock headland called Hamnenabben Head ("harbor crag") marks the south shore of Hamna Bay, with the Systerflesene Islands to the west in the water.

The inlet was first mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition in 1947–48, by Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960, and named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee after Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826), a German composer.

Over 70 discarded Pukao have been found along the road and on raised ceremonial platforms. The indents found on the bottom of pukao that reached the statutes are not present in those strewn along the path from Puna Pau to the moai, hinting that basic quarrying was done at Puna Pau, as well as moulding the stone into a cylindrical shape easier to transport. Meanwhile, more intricate carvings were made at the site of the moai, immediately prior to the placement of pukao on the statues.

The bay was discovered by the French Antarctic Expedition, 1903–05, under Jean-Baptiste Charcot, who named it for Captain Emile Guyou of the French Navy, distinguished in the field of naval science and a member of the commission which published the scientific results of the expedition.

The north side of the peninsula is surrounded by the Bach Ice Shelf, a large ice shelf that separates it from Beethoven Peninsula. Fauré Inlet is the only inlet that indents the south side of the peninsula, and is filled with flowing from the adjacent George VI Ice Shelf and George VI Sound. Monteverdi Peninsula extends due east–west mainly because there are no peninsulas protruding out of either the north nor the south sides of this peninsula. Monteverdi Peninsula is one of the eight peninsulas of Alexander Island.

Its head is fed by Grigorov, Laënnec and Mitev Glaciers. The bay was roughly surveyed by the Admiralty Hydrographic Unit, 1951–52, and was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for Leonard C. Hill of the Discovery Investigations, who served as an officer on RRS William Scoresby in January–February 1931, and on every Antarctic commission of RRS Discovery II between 1931 and 1939.

Kvaevefjellet Mountain () is an elongated mountain, about long and surmounted by Mount Fučík, which has been eroded by the ice into a series of spurs that enclose small cirques, standing at the north end of the Payer Mountains in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was discovered and plotted from air photos by the Third German Antarctic Expedition, 1938–39. It was replotted from air photos and surveys, and named, by the Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60. Aurkvaevane Cirques, a set of three cirques, indents the bottom of the mountain.

This bay indents the Dall Island shore a little more than in a general southwest by south direction, with a width of about . On the north side of the bay, within the entrance, is a group of four wooded islets, called Hay Islets, connected with each other and with the shore at low water. Southwest of them is Anchorage Cove, where good anchorage may be found in 15 fathoms. The shores of American Bay are free from dangers, and the water, particularly on the south side, is deep.

Incremental sheet forming (or ISF, also known as Single Point Forming) is a sheet metal forming technique where a sheet is formed into the final workpiece by a series of small incremental deformations. However, studies have shown that it can be applied to polymer and composite sheets too. Generally, the sheet is formed by a round tipped tool, typically 5 to 20mm in diameter. The tool, which can be attached to a CNC machine, a robot arm or similar, indents into the sheet by about 1 mm and follows a contour for the desired part.

The Sulzberger Bay indents the front of the Sulzberger Ice Shelf (), an ice shelf about long and wide bordering the coast of Marie Byrd Land between Edward VII Peninsula and Guest Peninsula.

Prior to 1903 there was no formal attempt to deposit Victorian government records with an archival authority. In that year ten volumes of Convict Indents were transferred to the Public Library (later the State Library of Victoria) by the Secretary of the Law Department. In ensuing years, reinforced by a 1927 instruction to departments from the Premier that no documents be destroyed without reference to the trustees of the Public Library, a substantial archival collection of Victorian public records was created. The former Queensland National Bank, a single storey rendered masonry building, stands to the corner of Channon and Nash Streets, Gympie. Sheltered by a hipped roof clad with corrugated metal sheeting the building, at street level to the north corner, is supported on concrete stumps and stone retaining walls accommodating the slope of the site south and southwest down to Mary Street. Three rendered masonry chimney stacks rise from rooms on the eastern side. Decorative paired timber roof brackets interspersed with rectangular moulded concrete indents run around the building under the main roof.

The cirque indents the south side of the ridge that extends from the southeast part of Mount Liotard. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1982 after Eric K.P. Back of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), who in addition to service at Adelaide Station and Grytviken from 1964–65, also served as BAS Base Commander, Signy, 1974–75, Halley, 1975–76, Faraday, 1977–78, and Rothera, 1978–79.

Henry Mesa () is a distinctive wedge-shaped mesa in extent, standing south of Mulock Glacier on the west side of Heap Glacier, Antarctica. The ice-covered summit, high, is flat except for a cirque which indents the north side. The mesa was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from tellurometer surveys and Navy air photos, 1959–63, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Captain B.R. Henry, U.S. Coast Guard, commander of the during U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze 1964, and commander of the U.S. ship group during Deep Freeze 1965.

This was originally one of the enclosing screens of a Chantry, the other two, east and west, dividing it from the aisle having been removed. In the wall of the aisle opposite the tomb, is a two-storied piscina, which was formerly within the area of the Chantry, and against the east division doubtless stood the antient altar. The cover-stone of the tomb is Purbeck marble, and on it are the indents of a knight and lady, but not of large size. The knight's head appears to have rested on a helmet with lambrequin, and an animal was at his feet.

In North American archaeology, intaglio () is a term from art applied to burial mounds that refers to a design cut into a hard surface. In this case, the burial mounds have designs cut into the ground, though intaglio broadly applies to burial mounds which are raised above the natural surface of the terrain. There are much more rare forms where they are left as indents below the natural terrain. These are typically in some effigy shape such as the Panther Intaglio Effigy Mound, which can be seen in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, where it is the last remaining intaglio mound in the state.

The AFM allows for nanomechanical studies to be conducted alongside topographic analyses, without the use of dedicated instruments. Theory suggests that plastic flow is impacted by both strain and the size of the strain gradient experienced in the material. Smaller indents have higher strain gradients relative to the size of the plastic zone and therefore have a higher measured hardness in some materials. These naturally occurring potholes are of great interest to geologists, as they're quite uncommon. The best-known kettle holes in Taiwan are a mass of indents in the exposed bed of the Keelung River at the town of Nuannuan, near Keelung City, although part of their fame is surely due to their lying right beside a busy road. Keelung River near Nuannuan has a narrower river channel and thus faster flowing water and turbulents which results in the formation of potholes. Riverbed potholes normally take many hundreds years to form and it is an extremely important geological feature.

Originally called the Barber-Colman Impressor, the Barcol impressor was developed by Walter Colman as a hand-held, portable means of assessing the hardness of a material during World War II. The United States Army Air Corps required a hand-held method of checking the hardness of rivets due to concerns that aircraft could be sabotaged by replacing normal rivets with soft lead or wooden ones which would fail during flight. The impressor operates when the tip is pressed against the material in question. The hardness of the material determines how far the tip indents and this is transferred by a tension spring and lever to be read on a dial.

It was discovered in January 1902 by the British National Antarctic Expedition under Robert Falcon Scott. It was named by the Japanese Antarctic Expedition under Lieutenant Shirase Nobu which, in January 1912, effected a landing on the ice shelf here from the ship Kainan Maru. Little America V, the main base of U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze, 1955–56, was established at this site in late December 1955.

This makes it very easy to write parsers that do not have to process a document in its entirety (e.g. balancing opening and closing tags and navigating quoted and escaped characters) before they begin extracting specific records within. The Danube Canyon (also known as the Viteaz Canyon) is a large submarine canyon, off the coast of Romania, which indents the shelf in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Kuwait's most prominent geographic feature is Kuwait Bay (Jun al Kuwayt), which indents the shoreline for about forty kilometers, providing natural protection for the port of Kuwait, and accounts for nearly one half the country's shoreline. To the south and west, Kuwait shares a long border of 250 kilometers with Saudi Arabia. The boundary between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia was set by the Treaty of Al Uqayr in 1922, which also established the Saudi–Kuwaiti neutral zone of 5,700 square kilometers between the two nations. The height of the temple plinth should be based on the length of the platform, the vault in the inner sanctum should be co-extensive with adytum's length with the indents therein set at a third and a fifth ratio of the inner vault's chord. The flowerhead has an involucre that is initially cup-shaped with a flat base, later becomes broadly cone-shaped, while the bracts eventually flip down to press against the stem when the seeds are ripe. It consists of a single whorl of eleven to fifteen lance-shaped, leathery bracts, with one or three resin ducts tapering to a long point, that are merged at their base, with a distinct thin and dryish margin that has a fringe of soft hairs towards the tips. The common base of the florets is flat and wide, without bracts at the foot of each floret, with a smooth surface except for regularly distributed indents where the florets are implanted. The flower heads each have five to eight female ray florets that consist of a closed tube at base and a strap nearer the top.

The 258.80 km long feeder channel of SSP takes off from the right bank of Sharda Barrage with discharge of 650 m3/s.

Various methods are used to attach the socket or accessory to the anvil, such as a spring- loaded pin that snaps into a matching hole in the socket, preventing the socket being removed until an object is used to depress the pin, a hog ring which holds the socket by friction or by snapping into indents machined into the socket, and a through-hole, where a pin is inserted completely through the socket and anvil, locking the socket on. In the latter work, a structure with a particular "inside" bursts into the architectonic space of the museum and plants a familiar nature, interior and distinct, from the menacing nature that opposes masculine reason.

French was initially the assistant to the first director of the Pennsylvania Writers Project (PWP), Logan B. Sisson. The project began in July 1935. French replaced Sisson within the year. French’s term was marred by an acrimonious relationship with Henry Alsberg the national director of the Federal Writers Project and, among all the state directors, was one of the few to constantly balk at the editorial dictates of the Washington staff. In a letter dated June 23, 1939, French appealed to the executive director of Pennsylvania’s Historical Commission, Maj. Frank Melvin, for assistance in convincing Alsberg to finally publish the state’s guide. He accused the national office of being overly concerned with details, citing “the copy cannot be considered final because our margins are an inch and a quarter, instead of an inch, and our indents for paragraphs are ten rather than five spaces.” French was also unable to broker a truce between the Newspaper Guild and the Writers Union, two leftwing labor organizations with writers on the PWP staff that eventually conspired to oust French in 1939.

CAM packages are analogous to IDEs in general programming.) Two high-level paradigm shifts have been (1) abandoning "manual programming" (with nothing but a pencil or text editor and a human mind) for CAM software systems that generate G-code automatically via postprocessors (analogous to the development of visual techniques in general programming), and (2) abandoning hardcoded constructs for parametric ones (analogous to the difference in general programming between hardcoding a constant into an equation versus declaring it a variable and assigning new values to it at will; and to the object-oriented approach in general).
