Nonetheless, the outline of the head and body could still vaguely be seen, both as raised contours revealed by both the light of the rising sun and as a discolouration of the grass. As is visible from a sketch of the contours still visible in 1939, the horse may have been of fairly good proportions.

As of 2000, the remnants of Canelos were still visible. Santiago, another ship anchored at Corral at the time of the quake, managed to leave Corral in a bad state but was wrecked off the coast of Mocha Island on 24 May. The schooner La Milagrosa departed from Queule on 22 May to load a cargo of Fitzroya wood shingles in a small port south of Corral. La Milagrosa was battered by the currents and waves of the tsunami for four days while moving south.

The church was in a bad state when it was demolished in 1892 and rebuilt as a Neo-Romanesque building between 1893 and 1898. Carew's House was later purchased by Sir Arthur Chichester and renamed Chichester House. It was used as a temporary home of the Kingdom of Ireland's law courts during the Michaelmas law term in 1605. The pilots of the Spanish Republican Air Force were unable to check these modern-warfare attacks. Their planes were mostly obsolete and often in a bad state of disrepair.

Half a year later, on March 21, 1964, another unfinished murder occurred in the neighborhood when Kovács attacked a lone passer-by, but the victim was barely missed by the neck from the back of the hammer and managed to escape. On May 4, 1964, a woman's corpse was found in the vicinity of Nagyrév. The body was in a bad state, and it was estimated that it had been in the water for about a month. The Anglican Church of St Lawrence at Priddy, Somerset, England, dates from the 13th century, with some rebuilding in the 15th century and was restored in 1881-88; it is a Grade I listed building. It is famous for its cave, known as the "Cave of Perama" (Greek Σπήλαιον Περάματος). The cave, extending five kilometres below the ground and having been explored fully only up to one kilometre, has a remarkable arrangement of stalagmites and stalactites. An 11th-century church in the town dedicated to Saint Haralambos and reputedly built by Byzantine Emperor Alexius Comnenus is in a bad state of repair and is rarely open to the general public. The town lies on GR-6 between Igoumenitsa and Metsovo. The municipal unit has an area of 105.725 km2, the community 7.597 km2.

Rivacre was most well known for having an outdoor swimming pool until the 1980s, with large ornamental gardens, cafe, children's playground and fountains, situated along the Rivacre brook itself. Opened in 1934 and hit great popularity between the 1950s and 1970s, but declined by the 1980s as heated indoor swimming pools were built in nearby Chester's Northgate Arena and leisure facilities were improved at Ellesmere Port's EPIC leisure centre. The outdoor swimming pool was finally closed, in a bad state of repair, in the early 1981 and demolised in 1985. The location of the outdoor swimming pool is now part of a nature reserve.

A statement given by an inspector of police from Northern Rhodesia attested to the fact that Spencer did not smoke or drink and had many hours flying experience since the early 1930s. Following the statement about Spencer's lack of sleep the counsel representing the next-of-kin of Captain Spencer made a formal protest that they had not been able to question the statement. The inquiry was closed on 28 February following technical evidence and a statement from an aircraft engineer who had witnessed that the starboard engine had been in "a bad state" and was popping and spluttering before the aircraft had taken off.

Problems of the cabinet were the release of war criminals (three of Breda) and the increasing inflation, combined with a stagnating economy (stagflation). The Mausoleum of Sultan Murat I, also known as Bajraktari Türbe, is a religious object built in honour of Sultan Murat I, who was killed in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. The building constructed in 1850, does not actually contain the remains of Sultan Murat since they have been moved to the imperial museum in Bursa, Turkey. It is currently in a bad state since it was heavily damaged during the Kosovo War. In addition to a garden, there is little to see inside of the building; an important feature of the garden is a 700‑year‑old mulberry tree which survived from the war.

The exposure of these economies to persistent shocks may lead to multiple equilibria outcomes: a country that under a tranquil condition may have a perfectly sustainable policy stance may suddenly jump to an unsustainable situation just because the fear of default leads international investors to ask for larger risk premium. On the western side (facing the Severn) there was Priory Gate overlooking the ferry and Bridge (or Water) Gate at the end of Newport Street that guarded the Severn bridge entrance to the city. The gates themselves were still opened in the morning and closed each evening, but they were rotten and in a bad state of repair ("so much so that they would hardly shut, and if they were actually closed there was neither lock or bolt to secure them").Willis-Bund, p.37. Worcester was occupied by Sir John Byron on 16 September 1642, who was on his way to deliver wagons of silver plate from Oxford to the Charles I at Shrewsbury.

The station in 1961 Despite the opening of Meadowhall Interchange in 1990, the station remained open until 1995. A limited service had continued in its last three years and the station closed without fanfare with a poster announcing that all remaining trains could be caught at Meadowhall. Both platforms remain today albeit stripped of their features and in a bad state of repair; the standard South Yorkshire style bus shelters which had replaced the station buildings by the early 1980s were removed in early 2006. The footbridge remains open a public right of way from Dearne Street to Station Lane, however access to the platforms has been blocked off since the station's closure.

When the French Revolution broke out in 1789 it was already in a bad state when it was seized and sacked by revolutionary forces. The Band Hall was built in 1959 by parents of band members and over the years has been patched up so the band could go on rehearsing throughout the year regardless of the weather, but unfortunately time took its toll on the hall and it was in a bad state of repair. In 1996 the band were awarded a lottery grant of £315,000,000 towards the cost of a new roof and total refurbishment of the interior. Once the new roof was in place, parents and present band members completely refurbished the interior of the hall, spending almost every weekend for the best part of a year rebuilding it to the standard it is today.

Stockton railway station serves the town of Stockton-on-Tees, within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and the ceremonial county of County Durham, England. The railway station is located on the Durham Coast Line and is operated by Northern Trains who provide all of the station's passenger services. Thornaby railway station (known as "South Stockton" until 1892), across the River Tees from Stockton-on-Tees provides a wider range of services and acts as the main railway station for most of Stockton-on-Tees. This station originally had a roof but it was removed in 1979 due to being in a bad state of repair and it has not been replaced since (the same work also saw the removal of redundant track & platforms).

The T&T;'s rates were cut shorter than the LV&T;, and passengers preferred the shorter route of the T&T; over the LV&T; as it was shorter than it took to get to Los Angeles by the former. By the time World War I broke out, the Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad was in a bad state. The United States Railroad Administration took over the T&T; and the LV&T; as with all the nation's railroads, but deemed the latter as an unnecessary route and had the LV&T; taken up for scrap in 1918. The Lila C. mines eventually ran dry by 1913, and the T&T; filed to extend their branchline to the new mines at Ryan, California (formerly Devar).

Entrance to the Peace Arsenal On 2 August 1983 Olivero took over the management, after years of requests to the municipality of Turin, of a part of the structures of the old military arsenal located in the district of Borgo Dora, one of the infamous neighborhoods in town. Sermig together with the help of thousands of young volunteers coming from all over Italy restored completely the building, which then was in a bad state. The building was turned into "Peace Arsenal" ("Arsenale della Pace"), a structure extended over about 40.000 m².Gianmario Ricciardi, Ernesto Olivero, il personaggio e la profezia, SEI 1996. From that time, the Arsenal defined itself as a “metropolitan monastery“ and gave assistance to immigrants, drug addicts, alcoholics, AIDS patients and homeless.

The international outcry over Guernica, however, would not bring about any increase in the military help provided to the beleaguered Spanish Republic.The pilots of the Spanish Republican Air Force, often young and poorly trained were unable to check the Nazi German and Fascist Italian modern-warfare attacks. Despite Franco's claim that both air forces were equal, and despite the help of foreign pilots, Spanish Republican planes were mostly obsolete and often in a bad state of disrepair. Even after acquiring more planes from the Soviet Union in the mid-stages of the war, the Spanish Republican Air Force was no longer able to control the Spanish skies nor match the power of the German and Italian expeditionary forces in specific combat situations.

The same day the second death was confirmed, a 63-year-old man from Debar that was hospitalized in Skopje on 17 March, reportedly his situation was stable, and he suddenly got in a bad state in the night when he was attached to a respiratory machine, but that wasn't enough. On 24 March, 12 new cases were confirmed positive: 7 in Skopje and 5 in Kumanovo. The band hoped to more accurately recreate the energy of their live shows on the album. "We were taking those experience on stage as reference points, rather than shedding them when we go into the studio, which is what we would always do," co- frontman Scott McMicken said. “We chose a batch of songs that are a little darker, or a little bit more heart-on-your-sleeve kind of stuff.” The album also contains the most emotional lyrical content of the band's career. On Dr. Dog's website, McMicken said of the song "Jackie Wants a Black Eye": “It’s one of the most literal songs that I’ve ever written, and it was important for me because I had been in a bad state for awhile.

Sultan Ismail Nasaruddin Shah Stadium was officially opened by the Yang Maha Mulia Pemangku Raja Terengganu, Tengku Mahmud Ibni Sultan Ismail Nasaruddin Shah on 27 August 1967. In 2008 after the completion of the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, the stadium were going to be demolish by the Kuala Terengganu City Council () (MBKT) to make way for a new development project of a recreational hub and multi-storey car park dubbed as “Dataran Kuala Terengganu”. However on 2 June 2009, the stadium demolition process were halted after the roof of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium collapse. By then the upper sections which expanded the original capacity of the stadium to 20,000 spectators had been taken down and the football pitch was in a bad state due to the heavy vehicles being driven on it.

One local lampoonist versified: "Arrived at the church, 'tis diverting to see Them all strut to Ned Kendall's [the organist's] vile twiddle dum dee, whose bass and whose treble, comparatively speaking, are like old pigs grunting and little pigs squeaking." After 95 years service with little maintenance, the organ was dismantled and sold and a contract for a new instrument was placed with London organ builder Hugh Russell in 1798. In 1881, the second organ was in a bad state of repair and was sold and replaced by a three manual pipe organ built by Hele and Co. of Plymouth.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the church was in a bad state of repair, due to wind-blown sand, and in 1727 a rate (or bounty money) of £263 15s was levied in the parish to meet the repairs. In 1731 there is an entry in the churchwardens' records of payment of one shilling for one day's work of carrying sand out of the church.

Following the resignation of David Peck, head teacher from 2001 to 2008, Tim Boyes, head of nearby Queensbridge School, was brought in as an interim replacement. He, and the City Council, advocated the creation of a combined Trust to administer both schools, which would share facilities and have a merged sixth form, based at Moseley. This plan, however, was scrapped in 2011 when Mr Boyes failed to secure the job of head teacher on a permanent basis. As part of the government's 'Building Schools for the Future' (BSF) strategy, in 2009 Moseley School received approval for a massive new rebuilding programme, involving the complete demolition of the East Wing (the former Moseley Modern School, now in a bad state of repair), with the exception of its more recently built sporting facilities.

In 1613, the knight Fra Bernardo Macedonia built a tower nearby and it was called the Santa Cecilia Tower after the chapel. The chapel was described as being in good condition in 1630, and it was maintained through donations in the next few years. However, it was in a bad state by 1635, and it was deconsecrated in 1644. The chapel became an ancillary building to the tower, at times probably housing a mule-driven mill. In the early years of the 20th century the frequency of which the Hunstanton lifeboat was launched to service was in rapid decline. The services carried out by Licensed Victualler’s in 1916 proved to be some of her last services. Her last call took place on 7 December 1922 when she was launched to the aid of a steam trawler called ME 26 of Montrose which had run aground on sandbanks. The trawler managed to re- float herself under her own power and the lifeboat returned to the station for the last time. By 1931 the RNLI carried out a structural survey of Licensed Victualler’s with the results showing that the lifeboat was in a bad state of repair and was no longer fit for launching to service. The Licensed Victualler’s was finally withdrawn from service on 25 June 1922.

A National Trust report referenced in the Historic Environment Record could not determine if the pre-1304 rectory was retained for the college's use, or if a new building was erected instead. In 1444, a report by the Bishop of Bath and Wells, Thomas Beckington, recorded that, due to poor management by the provost, the college had fallen into disrepair: the buildings were in a bad state, and only two priests remained alongside the provost, rather than the intended four. Beckington gave the governance of the college to the precentor of Wells, and a few years later the current building was erected. In his article, Chantry Priests' Houses and other Medieval Lodgings, W. A. Pantin suggests that this building is probably smaller than the original college, due to the reduced number of clergy, and that it was most likely erected around 1450–60.

The nine arches of the Stade Louis II in Fontvieille. Rybolovlev relocated to Monaco in 2010 and in December 2011, a trust acting on behalf of Rybolovlev's daughter Ekaterina, bought a 66% stake in the Monegasque association football club AS Monaco FC. The club was in a bad state at the time, playing at the bottom of the French second league and highly in debt, and the Monaco Palace was looking for an investor to improve the club’s prospects. According to French media reports, Ryboloblev acquired the club for a symbolic €1, but with a commitment to invest at least €100 million ($129.4 million) into the club over the next four years. The remaining 33% stake in the club is owned by Monaco's ruling family, the House of Grimaldi, with Rybolovlev's acquisition of the stake in the club approved by Prince Albert II of Monaco.

As City take a strong 3–1 lead Bert is again winning plaudits for his masterful goalkeeping, when a dangerous collision with Birmingham City player Peter Murphy shatters a vertebra in his neck and almost costs him his life. With 20 minutes of the game left to go, and clearly in a bad state, Trautmann refuses to leave the field and continues to make several brave saves, stopping Birmingham City from scoring any further goals and thus winning City the cup. His joy leads to tragedy, however, as during his recuperation his son is hit by a car and killed. Their heartbreak causes Margaret to grow more distant with Bert, while he himself becomes convinced that his loss is a karmic consequence of his inaction when witnessing war atrocities in Ukraine, and the film leaves them still working through the resulting difficulties in their marriage.

In their pursuit, the dragoon divisions of Lhéritier and General André Louis Briche came across three Russian battalions in square formations and were repulsed. The cavalry was then shifted to cover the French right flank during the remainder of the battle. The corps also fought at the Battle of La Rothière on 1 February. Late in the day, Napoleon threw in Milhaud's corps to cover the disengagement of his outnumbered and defeated army. On 6 February 1814, Marshal Jacques MacDonald reported that his cavalry was in a bad state. He wrote that the V Cavalry Corps numbered 800 sabers which was half their nominal strength. The III Cavalry Corps numbered only 500 while the II Cavalry Corps had between 800 and 900 troopers. On the 10th, the III and V Cavalry Corps and General Antoine-Louis Decrest de Saint-Germain massed at Meaux to cover a river crossing.

John Speed's The Counties of Britain, 1610 At the start of the English Civil War Worcester City walls were in a state of disrepair, and only part of the wall was defended by a ditch. There were seven gates: Foregate to the north, Saint Marin's and Friar's to the east, and Sidbury was the main southern gate—Frog Gate below Worcester Castle was also on the south side. On the western side (facing the Severn) there was Priory Gate overlooking the ferry and Bridge (or Water) Gate at the end of Newport Street that guarded the Severn bridge entrance to the city. The gates themselves were still opened in the morning and closed each evening, but they were rotten and in a bad state of repair ("so much so that they would hardly shut, and if they were actually closed there was neither lock or bolt to secure them").

After the Sture Murders, the King disappeared, and was found in a bad state outside of the city three days later. He was calmed by Karin Månsdotter and brought back to the capital, where he was isolated for several weeks. The first audience was granted to Queen Dowager Catherine, who was given the task to act as mediator between the King and the relatives of the murder victims, and presented with a written document giving her the authority to negotiate the Settlement (litigation) with the relatives of the murder victims, among them her aunt Martha Leijonhufvud. Through Catherine, Martha Leijonhufvud put forward her demands for a letter of protection against further persecution by the King; an official statement of the innocence of the murder victims; economic compensation and the arrest of the people truly responsible for the behavior of the monarch, which was regarded to be his adviser Jöran Persson.

Their first recorded away win was on 26 November 1881 with an away game at Ardingly College, although the game was played in a 'downpour of rain' and the pitch being in a bad state. Devonshire Park won the game by 4 goals to 1. On 23 September 1882, at a meeting in Brighton with other clubs in Sussex, Devonshire Park became one of eleven clubs that formed the Sussex County Football Association with Captain Cardwell being nominated as one of the Vice-Presidents for the first season. In the same year was the creation of the Sussex Senior Cup, following a dispute with a cup tie Devonshire Park withdrew from the Sussex County FA. Playing at Devonshire Park for 5 years, with the Tennis club and a Cricket club, they moved to the then newly opened Saffrons Field in 1886 when the tennis became a predominant sport there and the success of the South of England Championships.

Terengganu F.C. began using the stadium as their home venue in July 2008 with Melaka having the honour of being the first opponent of The Turtles for the match played on 15 July. However, the roof structure of the stadium collapsed on 2 June 2009 forcing Terengganu F.C. to move back to the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, which at the time was in process of being torn down. The upper sections which expanded the original capacity of the stadium to 20,000 spectators had been taken down and the pitch was in a bad state due to the heavy vehicles being driven on it. Due to the urgent state of affairs at that time, the stadium was quickly fixed and was restored to meet the minimum requirement of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Terengganu F.C. were spared from playing the home matches somewhere else but with a reduced capacity of just 15,000.

Emperor Wen decreed that Wu Zhu cash coins be produced in the first year of the Kaihuang period (581 in the Gregorian calendar), alongside the introduction of this new Wu Zhu cash coin the older currencies were gradually being deprecated and with the conquest of the Chen dynasty the coins now known as "Sui Wu Zhu cash coins" (隋五銖錢, suí wǔ zhū qián) were the only circulating currency in all of China. The reason why Emperor Wen introduced a new Wu Zhu was because the fiduciary cash coins of the Northern Zhou and Chen dynasties placed the economy in a bad state and the Sui Wu Zhu's were set to the original weight of 2 grams. The first Wu Zhu's are known as the "Kaihuang Wu Zhu cash coins" (開皇五銖, kāi huáng wǔ zhū) because of their year of introduction, later Emperor Wen allowed the principalities of the Sui dynasty to cast their own Wu Zhu's. Additional mints were set up in various prefectures, typically with five furnaces each.

The older has been dated to the eleventh or twelfth century, and appears to have once been a mortar from a monastery refectory; many such pieces were shipped to the American colonies for liturgical use, and the font is associated with an earlier church occupied by the congregation. It was restored in 1890 and continues to be in use for baptisms. The chandeliers lighting the building are French, and were given as a memorial to members of the congregation who served in the European theater of World War II.Plaque inside the church Also inside the church is a memorial, dedicated by President Warren Harding on May 29, 1921, to six men of the Mount Vernon and Lee Districts who had been killed in World War I. Another memorial was raised to the novelist Vaughan Kester, who died at Gunston Hall, by his mother.
