IGLU Theatre (based on acronyme in Slovene language Impro Gledališče Ljubljana) is a Slovenian improvisational theatre, located in Ljubljana, capital city of Slovenia, and founded by younger generation of impro performers Vid Sodnik, Juš Milčinski, and Peter Frankl Jr. Participating in the most notable theatresports championship in Slovenia, Impro League, they have won it four times as members of various teams and hold numerous titles for the best improviser in Slovenia. As a team they were also winners of the Impro League 2013/14 season. They are members of European impro association Ohana.

Impro League (also Improvisation League; in Slovene: Impro liga) is the oldest among Slovenian theatresports championships. It has taken place since 1993 with participants from all over the country. In recent years, over hundred participants have competed in a number of disciplines in each season, culminating in finals. The philosophy of Impro-Visor is to provide a tool to help musicians construct jazz solos over chord progressions. It includes a database capability for creating, saving, and recalling licks, as well as a lick generation capability based on a user-modifiable grammar. More recent versions of Impro-Visor include auto-generated playback accompaniment in various styles, and a style extraction (from MIDI) capability. Hoopla Impro is an improvised comedy and drama company that was founded in January 2006 by Steve Roe and Edgar Fernando. It is the UK's first improv theatre. Originally based in Balham southwest London, its shows moved to The Miller in London Bridge in 2010. Romke Kleefstra was born on 28 July 1972 in Akkrum, Netherlands. From 1992 up to 2007 Kleefstra was singer and songwriter in the indie bands Shatterhole (1992–1995), Seascape Painters (1995–2000) and Polaroyd (2003–2007). In 2008 Kleefstra formed Piiptsjilling with his brother Jan Kleefstra (poet), Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek) and Mariska Baars (Soccer Committee). Since then he's been in numerous collaborations and projects with his brother, in which his music contains elements of ambient, post-rock, minimalism, drone, modern classical music up to free impro jazz.

He appeared in a two-part episode of the children's science fiction programme The Tomorrow People, "The Heart of Sogguth" in 1977, in which the band's music was used to revive an ancient demon. In 2007, he was noted for his performance at the Tyndall Assembly, a concert series directed by Tristan Louth-Robins in Adelaide, in which he collaborated with experimental composer Luke Harrald. Paul Merton's Impro Chums is an improvisational comedy stage show, consisting of comedian Paul Merton heading a cast of Richard Vranch, Suki Webster, Mike McShane and Lee Simpson, as well as a special guest performer. The show is in a similar format to that given by the Comedy Store Players and its television compatriot, Whose Line Is It Anyway?. The performers act scenes which are suggested by the theatre audience. They perform without scripts, autocue or props, and rely on their wit and speed of thought to create amusing scenarios with the given characters.

As a fight director, Starr has worked with Nathan Lane, Andrea Martin and served as a stunt coordinator for a Kung Fu film. He was also an assistant to Broadway Fight Director Rick Sordelet (Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Scarlet Pimpernel). In New York City, Starr has performed comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Carolines on Broadway, Stand-Up NY, The People's Improv Theatre and Gotham City Improv. He has studied improvisation with Keith Johnstone (author of Impro), Rich Talarico (SNL), The Upright Citizens Brigade, The People's Improv Theatre, The Second City NYC and Chicago City Limits.

Tsamere has done three tours of the show, and its final two performances were at the Olympia in February 2014. Tsamere's third show, Confidences sur pas mal de trucs plus ou moins confidentiels (Secrets about quite a few more or less confidential things), also written with Rollin and Joyet, was performed on tour throughout France from November 2014, and at Le Splendid from January 2015. Tsamere has said it is based on the principal that "society laughs too much", and will involve him talking about himself. On 25 June 2012 at the Européen theatre, Tsamere performed alongside the On n'demande qu'à en rire jury member Éric Métayer in Métamère en impro.

In 2013, Arad edited Mind the Gap, a short film by Tom Darom, which won the Best Film Award at the Impro Festival, and participated in the Haifa Film Festival 2013. Another short film Michtav MeHaAvar (A Letter from the Past) by Ofer Zingerman was nominated for the 2014 Ophir Awards. Between the years 2010-2014, Arad served as editor of promos and video works for various productions at the Gesher Theater, and performed multimedia for Kreutzer Sonata directed by Yevgeny Aryeh, and Falling Out of Time directed by Yehezkel Lazarov. In 2015 she edited two feature films: Meni Yaesh's second film, Our Father, and Arik Rothstein's first film, Antenna.

Max-Mo is a unique impro jazz/ funk/poetry and spoken-word collective based in Adelaide, South Australia. The group was formed in March 2009 by founding musicians Steve Matters (composer, keyboards, programmer, bassist, guitarist, trombonist), Andy Mills (drums & percussion), Derek Pascoe (tenor sax) and performers Mike Ladd, Amelia Walker and Rob Walker (not related) – all published and successful individual poets. The group premiered at Poetry Australia’s salt on the tongue National Conference in Goolwa, on 24 April 2010. Max-Mo played in various Adelaide venues over the years, and was broadcast on ABC Radio National’s Poetica programme, Triple R's Aural Text program Radio Adelaide and ABC Local Radio.

Moe is a bassist and vocalist that has managed to make her mark on the Norwegian music scenes, both on and off stage. She has her musical background from the Music conservatory in Kristiansand and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where she graduated 2007, she has distinguished herself as an active performer with wide field of interest on the Oslo's jazz and free impro music scene recent years. She has hosted jam sessions on "Belleville", runs the «Mumle Vind Kompani» together with Yngvild Aspelid, play traditional music together with her sisters Eline and Jenny. On her debut solo album It Pictures (2011) she collaborates in trio with drummer Sveinar Hoff and guitarist Håvard Skaset.

Impro-Visor automatically creates accompaniment, such as piano, bass, and drums, from the chord sequence on a leadsheet (a capability similar to, but currently not as full-featured as that of Band-in-a-Box). The style of accompaniment is derived from a set of pattern specifications using a textual notation similar to that for melodies. For example, a ride cymbal pattern common to swing jazz would be notated as > ` x4 x8 x8 x4 x8 x8 ` with x4 signifying a quarter-note hit and x8 an eighth-note hit. The swung note aspect, wherein eighth-notes on the beat get approximately twice the value of the beat, is rendered automatically by a numeric swing parameter, such as .

Hegre is one of the cornerstones of Norwegian noise music. He completed the sound engineer education at Norwegian lydskole in Oslo (1991), and subsisted for several years as a sound engineer until he decided to make his own music to his main focus at the end of the 1990s. Hegre started Jazzkammer together with Lasse Marhaug in 1998, and Kaptein Kaliber with David Aasheim in 1999. He is also involved in Golden Serenades with Jørgen Træen, Black Packers with Jean-Philippe Gross, Rehab with Bjørnar Habbestad, Tree People with Morten J. Olsen and Ignaz Schick, NOXAGT with Kjetil Brandsdal and Jan Christian L. A classical dance class at Morley College in 1944 The Drama department began in the rehearsal rooms of the Old Vic Theatre. Classes continued to be held there as recently as 2004, although most drama classes are now held in the main building at Westminster Bridge Road. The college was the scene of early experiments in Improv Theatre when Keith Johnstone brought his troupe from the Royal Court Theatre Studio (later to become the Theatre Machine) to demonstrate his ideas to his Contemporary Theatre class. Some key figures in the development of improvisational theatre are Viola Spolin and her son Paul Sills, founder of Chicago's famed Second City troupe and originator of Theater Games, and Del Close, founder of ImprovOlympic (along with Charna Halpern) and creator of a popular longform improv format known as The Harold. Other luminaries include Keith Johnstone, the British teacher and writer–author of Impro, who founded the Theatre Machine and whose teachings form the foundation of the popular shortform Theatresports format, Dick Chudnow, founder of ComedySportz which evolved its family-friendly show format from Johnstone's Theatersports, and Bill Johnson, creator/director of The Magic Meathands, who pioneered the concept of "Commun-edy Outreach" by tailoring performances to non-traditional audiences, such as the homeless and foster children. David Shepherd, with Paul Sills, founded The Compass Players in Chicago. Shepherd was intent on developing a true "people's Theatre", and hoped to bring political drama to the stockyards.
