Gisburne Park is an 18th-century country house and associated park in Gisburn, Lancashire, England, in the Ribble Valley some north-east of Clitheroe. The house is a Grade I listed building, and is now used as a hospital. The associated 1,000 acre park is Grade II listed, and is now an equestrian centre and holiday park.
The main sandy beach of Machrihanish Bay runs north to Westport, providing opportunities for surfing. Basic accommodation is available for surfing groups in the Machrihanish village hall. There are static caravans, wooden wigwams and camping spaces at the Machrihanish Holiday Park. The village is one of the start/finish points of the Kintyre Way, one of Scotland's Great Trails.
There is a holiday park in Bay View and a pub, the Bay View. There is also a garage which sells caravans and miscellaneous supplies. Formerly there were two general stores, but one closed in the 1980s due to a lack of trade. The same fate led to the closure of the Bay View Stores in 2004.

The musical direction for the weekender was a mix of Hip-Hop and Electronica. Dedbeat was a weekend of contemporary music and fun, in the confines of a self-contained holiday park.
The same year The Lunik was build in the park. In 1975 the park acquired a secondhand 28 meter high watchtower named Zeppelin. The same year 25 new homes were added to the holiday park. In 1976 a kind of carousel themed after the landing on to moon was added to the park, this was than named Apollo 14.
Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast of England, lies to the west. Seatown comprises a small number of houses, a holiday park, some holiday cottages and "The Anchor" pub. The small River Winniford or Wynreford runs into the sea here. Seatown beach is popular with fossil collectors, with rock of Late Jurassic/Early Cretaceous.

Spadina Crescent was for many years the primary access road to the city's main landfill and the Queen Elizabeth II Power Station. Although Spadina is still used to access the station, landfill traffic is now rerouted via a new entrance to the dump off Valley Road to the west of Holiday Park.

Pontins Blackpool in Squires Gate closed in October 2009 and was subsequently demolished after being acquired by property developer Persimmon. From the original Hemmings buy-out until then, the headquarters were at Sagar House in the village of Eccleston, Lancashire.
The part of the cliff and beach of Milford most associated with Downton has become inaccessible directly from Downton due to coastal erosion. A forest path through Shorefield Holiday Park reaches West Road car park, with amenities, from which Hordle Cliff Beach (also known as Milford Beach) can be access, more than five miles of favorable bathing and sunbathing, weather and conditions depending.
The Old Burnett Heads Light is an inactive lighthouse which used to be located on the south side of the Burnett River entrance, in Burnett Heads, Queensland, Australia. It was relocated to the Burnett Heads Lighthouse Holiday Park. It is one of only two lighthouse surviving to be constructed of timber frame clad with weatherboards, the other being the original Cleveland Point Light.
The bridge was first referred to simply as the Circle Drive South Bridge. The Holiday Park community association lobbied Saskatoon City Council to have the bridge named after Christopher J. Yorath, the city's first commissioner. Yorath created a comprehensive town plan in 1913, which included inner and outer "encircling boulevards". Parts of the present-day Circle Drive follows the course in Yorath's plan.
Before World War II at a site between Watchet and Doniford a gunnery range was established for various army units to practice anti-aircraft gunnery. Unmanned target aircraft were towed by planes from RAF Weston Zoyland and later were fired from catapults over the sea. Little of the camp buildings survive and it is now the site of a holiday park.
The site is now a holiday park with log cabins, caravans, camping etc. Recently the station steps were repainted and repairs were undertaken to the crumbling wall of the remains of the waiting room. The pedestrian tunnel can still be accessed though is blocked half way through. Across the road, the old post office is now the site of the Golden Larches Restaurant.
188x188px Bluestone National Park Resort is a holiday park in Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales. The resort falls partly within the boundaries of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The park is owned by several private backers and Pembrokeshire County Council and employs over 700 people. The resort's accommodation consists of 344 timber lodges, as well as cottages and studio apartments set in .
In 1963 a shop keeper named Henk Bemboom built some vacation homes on a piece of farmland around an old farmhouse in Slagharen. As an extra attraction he offered every vacation home a Shetland pony and a small carriage. During Pentecost the holiday park opened with twenty-four homes. During this time Shetland ponies were a rare sight in The Netherlands.

Harcourt Park is a very good spot to witness river terracing.

Roberts Cove () is a small village in County Cork, Ireland. The village consists of a number of houses, Roberts Cove Holiday Park and two pubs, The Harbour Bar and Roberts Cove Inn. On summer days, the beach in the village is popular with day-trippers from nearby Cork City. Since 2018 there has been a dive centre based near Roberts Cove called 'Oceans of Discovery'.
The Pow Burn is fed by a small loch near the estate of Coodham and is narrow until it reaches Prestwick, where it starts to widen. The Burn separates Prestwick and Monkton. It crosses Prestwick Airport and flows through Prestwick Golf Course, where is serves as a natural obstacle. Prestwick Holiday Park overlooks the mouth of the burn, where it flows into the Firth of Clyde.
George M. Bridges was a tobacco farmer with a background in construction. In 1982, he decided to pursue a new career and built his own airboat in the backyard. Mortgaging his house, Bridges invested all his money and time into building more airboats and starting an educational and recreational park ground. Bridges began offering narrated airboat tours through the Everglades and by June 1982, Everglades Holiday Park was officially operating.
The mayor's office, in the fall of 2014, included the sculptures in the Tolyatti's beautification program of iconic and socially significant places, so that rather than being destroyed they will be enhanced. From 1871 to 1874 a tramway linked Thames to Tararu and, from 1872, to the wharf, built into deeper water at Tararu Point (Wilson Street) by Robert Graham. A track to Coromandel was started in 1871. A racecourse was built and pleasure gardens were created in what is now Dickson Holiday Park. From 1874 a decline started, after the wharf and tramway were badly damaged in a severe gale.
Construction on the Alfsee began in 1971. From 1976 a holiday park was built on the eastern shore within the parish of Rieste. Today this has holiday homes, several campsites and sports pitches as well as a boating harbour with a sailing school and a waterskiing area. As well as holiday makers and water sports enthusiasts, the Alfsee is popular with anglers, particularly because of the presence of tench.

The latter is open to rough seas and wild winds, whereas the former is more sheltered and known locally for good surfing breaks and fine beach fishing, especially of salmon and bream. Cod, eels and luderick are taken from the rocks of the Point. Notable diving locations are found offshore from the Point, which can be accessed from the local north-facing boat ramp. To the north lies the Beachcomber Holiday Park and Lake Brunderee.

This had its own spur railway from the railway line between Scarborough and Hull (now the Yorkshire Coast Line). Whilst the railway to the holiday park closed down in 1977, a railway station has been located at Hunmanby since October 1847 when the line first opened. Services are hourly between Hull and Scarborough each way, with the station being on an isolated two track section on a largely single line between and .

To the south is Holiday Park golf course, commanding a championship 18-hole and executive 9-hole course. It is used year-round, providing snow golf and well- groomed cross country ski trails in the winter months. To the north is the Riversdale Tennis Club and Riversdale pool, an outdoor swimming pool with water slide features. To the west is the Gordie Howe Management Area with Gordie Howe Bowl, Baseball Diamonds, Speed Skating Oval.
The northern boundary extends no further than 11th Street, and the southern edge overlooks the scenic vista of the Holiday Park Golf Course. Avenue P South through to the South Saskatchewan River are the western and eastern boundaries respectively. The roads are laid out in a grid fashion, the streets south of 11th Street are named: Dudley, Schuyler, and Wellington Streets, followed by Embassy Drive. The avenues are labelled alphabetically with the alphabet.
The railway named its resort Allhallows-on-Sea in all its publicity. The planned development never took place, partly because of the onset of the Second World War, and the railway station closed on to 4 December 1961. There is now a holiday park that includes a 9-hole golf course, fresh water fishing lake, and a small entertainments complex with both indoor and outdoor pool. This park is operated by Bourne Leisure Ltd.
A large 1930s style pub, the British Pilot, was built to supersede the village inn, the Rose and Crown Tavern (now converted to a dwelling). Just opposite the parish church and old village shop (now long closed) and on the new approach way to the railway station, an art deco styled block of flats was added. But the overall plan never attracted the number of holidaymakers expected. The holiday park is Haven Holidays.
To the east of Port Seton there is a large caravan campsite/holiday park at Seton Sands. The promenade area and the creation of a coastal walk, a part of the John Muir Way, have improved the environment in recent years. To the south east is Seton Collegiate Church, a collegiate church also known as Seton Chapel, an Ancient Monument in the care of Historic Scotland. Next to it was Seton Palace, now Seton House.

The land now occupied by Everglades Holiday Park was originally owned by domestic profit corporation Davie Farm Lands, Inc and deeded to Broward Country in 1964. The deed stipulated that the land's sole use be for "public recreation purposes". Broward County entered into a Long Term lease agreement with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in 1965. The property was then subleased until 3 June 2012 when the FWC returned the park to Broward County.

To the north-east of the hamlet there is a large holiday park comprising mainly large static caravans. Since 1999, Croyde has hosted an annual surfing and music festival (GoldCoast Oceanfest) on the weekend closest to the summer solstice. The Bowerman House (built in 1907) is a designated Municipal Heritage Property located in the Holiday Park, neighborhood of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The home is of a crafts-man "Western Stick" style. The house was built as a hunting lodge by Allan Bowerman, graduate from Kingston Military College, first postmaster in Saskatoon on the west side of the river, and member of Saskatoon's first town council (1903 – 1905). Bowerman was also responsible for the development of the Canada Building.
C.J. Leyland (née Naylor) died in 1926; in 1933, attempting to recoup some of the family fortune, the ruins of the house he built were demolished and the estate was auctioned off in 2,000 lots. Only the tower and the rotunda (both Grade II listed buildings) remain of the castle. Haven Holidays now owns these structures and operates a holiday park on surrounding of land. The main complex of the caravan park, resembling a large tent, stretches between these structures.
Hammerfest is a music festival held annually in North Wales. From 2013, Hammerfest has moved to the Haven site in Pwllheli, Hafan y Môr Holiday Park as the festival has outgrown its original site at Pontin's Holiday Village, Prestatyn, Wales. It is not related to a music festival of the same name hosted by white supremacist groups. The festival is owned by emc3i Ltd, sponsored by the music magazine Metal Hammer and run by the organizers of the Hard Rock Hell festival.

Bashley is a chapelry in the New Forest (in the south west of Hampshire) England. It takes up the north of New Milton civil parish of a type having a town council, and is a semi-rural community in New Forest District, to which it contributes about a quarter of the population of the ward of the same name. Brain was signed by Brian Horton for Second Division Port Vale in August 2003, giving up his job as a sports instructor at a holiday park in the process. Whilst the population is less than 3,000 people that number swells in school holidays. The 1874 wreck of a timber schooner, Pilot, is visible on the beach north of the town in times of high erosion.

The main Mobilise event is an annual conference which has been attended by over 1600 students and twenties. The 4 day conference was held during the summer, often in July, at the Brighton Centre in Brighton, England, alongside the Together On A Mission conference for Christian leaders. At the final Together On A Mission conference in July 2011, it was announced that the Mobilise conference would continue independently in the coming years. The 2012 conference will be held at a Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn, Wales.
The novel starts with Matt reciting recollections from his childhood, where he blatantly states that he is not a nice person and has not dealt with pain since scraping his knee at the age of nine. This episode happened when he and his brother Simon went camping with their parents at Ocean Grove Holiday Park in Dorset. After scraping his knee, Simon carries Matt back to where they are staying. Shortly after, Simon, who has Down syndrome and several other medical conditions, is found dead.

Britannia Hotels is a British hotel group with 61 hotels across the country. Britannia operates at the budget end of the market, and includes the Pontins Holiday Park portfolio. In recent years, Britannia Hotels has been a subject of widespread criticism over the hygiene and maintenance of its locations, with the consumer group Which? declaring the hotel chain to be the worst in the United Kingdom since October 2013: the controversies have contributed towards the growing general perception of Britannia Hotels as "Britain's worst hotel chain".
A stop at the Portland Maritime Discovery Centre is followed by a climb up the headland to the Portland Bay Holiday Park, where another station is located. After passing several homes, the line turns east to terminate at the World War II Memorial Lookout, which also served as a water tower. At this point, the tram sets are turned on a triangle for the return trip back to the Portland Cable Tram Museum and Depot, making the ride 7.4 kilometres and around one hour in length.
However, the ground's location some distance from the city centre made it unpopular with supporters, and in 1923 the club relocated to Holiday Park, taking with them the wooden stand. The last League game played at Kepier Haughs was on 5 May 1923 when Durham beat Barrow 4–1 in front of only 1,000 spectators, equalling the lowest recorded attendance at the ground. Entrance to the Bairnsdale Cemetery on the corner of Forge Creek Road The Bairnsdale cemetery is now located off Forge Creek road opposite the race course. Its original location was situated at punt flat, now the site of the Mitchell Gardens Holiday Park beside the river. A plaque in acknowledgement of the site is located at the south-east corner of the Caravan Park. As a result of the major flooding in 1870 the site experienced erosion and reports were made that remains were washed downstream.
Everglades Holiday Park (EHP) is a wildlife preserve and the wildlife park situated on 29 acres of wetlands in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The park is located on the western end of Griffin Road, off U.S. 27 and always open to the public. Nicknamed the “Gateway to the Everglades”, the park offers narrated airboat rides, live alligator shows, fishing, wildlife viewing and a campground which is currently under renovation. EHP is also known for hosting a number of educational and conservation programs and having the only Broward County access to the Everglades.
Multiple government and recreation departments are looking to Everglades Holiday Park to expand and accommodate a wider range of programs. Residents raised concerns that the integrity and authenticity of the park would be compromised if the grounds were updated, but the county and locals are working together on a master park plan to preserve the history and aesthetics of the land. Proposed additional facilities and renovations include: green (eco) buildings, cement parking areas, bridges for easier transportation, additional restrooms, air conditioned cabins for rental, trails, an updated campground, zip line, and a rock climb.
Everglades Holiday Park is the home of the Gator Boys Alligator Rescue and educates the public about the ongoing conservation and preservation efforts in the Everglades. The team of gator trappers capture and rescue nuisance alligators from residential areas surrounding the Everglades and release them at the park. The park provides a protected habitat for gators which could otherwise be killed for their skin or meat. The rescue members are part of a TV show on Animal Planet called Gator Boys and film many of their episodes at the park.
The village has a hotel, a post office / general store, an angling book shop, a village hall and a large holiday park. The hotel was originally a temperance establishment with alcohol being served for the first time in the 1960s. Until that time it served as the local petrol station and the proprietor operated a daily bus service along the A93 from Blacklunans to Blairgowrie. The Post Office and general store The local one-teacher school, known as Strone of Cally School, closed in 2011 and the site has been sold for house building.
It was then purchased by Sir James Langham, 7th Baronet. In the early 19th century woods were planted on the estate, when the house was extended following designs by Richard Carver. In World War I the house was occupied by the Lysaght family who added the current main entrance and a ballroom, which is now used as the dining room. The house used to be surrounded by a landscape park, however most of this had been built on by the 1970s, including the development of a holiday park.
The gardens are spanned by a stone railway viaduct. The boating lake was dug during the depression of the 1930s as a work creation scheme. In the late 1960s, further enterprises were established by the council, including mini-golf, a swimming pool, the Little Western Railway miniature railway which opened in 1968 and Newquay Zoo, which opened in 1969. Newquay was also known for the "Run to the Sun" event, which took place for many years during the public holiday on the last weekend in May at Trevelgue Holiday Park.
Somerton is close to a range of popular recreation facilities, including Keepit Dam and Somerton National Park. Keepit Dam is a popular inland sport and recreation destination, offering year-round attractions for water sports and fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, bushwalkers, campers and picnickers. The lake foreshores are home to a popular holiday park and a NSW Sport and Recreation Centre. The main purpose of the dam is to supply irrigation, stock and household needs in the Namoi Valley, although it is an extremely popular weekend destination for Tamworth and Gunnedah residents.

According to their research,Thomas Cook "'Staycations vs. Cheap Holidays Abroad" , Thomas Cook a one-week family holiday to Devon for four can cost in the region of £2,299, whereas an equivalent holiday to Majorca £2,036. In the UK, the growth of domestic holidays has a major impact on its domestic tourist industry. Haven Holidays, one of the UK's biggest holiday park owners, in 2009 reported a 38% rise in sales of static caravans to sale-and-leaseback investors or buyers who want a more affordable second home.
Foster, from Tamworth, was runner-up in the Pontins women's championships three times, in 1977, 1978 and 1982; and was national women's champion in 1980, 1982 and 1983. The 1983 Women's World Snooker Championship was sponsored by Pontins and held at their Brean Sands Holiday Park, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset. Foster won the tournament, and the £2,000 prize, by defeating Maureen Baynton, from Ewell, 8–5 in the final. The Observer noted that this was £28,000 less than the £30,000 that Steve Davis received for winning the men's World Snooker Championship that season.
Blawith is a quiet area, but it does have holiday parks and cottages such as Crake Valley Holiday Park for people who are visiting the area. It is central to many attractions, being within five miles of Coniston Water, Grizedale Forest Park, the Aquarium of the Lakes at Lakeside, and Ulverston with its Laurel and Hardy Museum. Go Ape ropes course, four miles away, is a day trip for tourists visiting Blawith and Subberthwaite, and Bigland Hall Equestrian is five miles away. Local pubs in the vicinity include The Red Lion, suitable for families.
Constitution Hill is located on the western coast of Wales on Cardigan Bay, lying north of the town of Aberystwyth and to the south of the Clarach Bay holiday park. The hill is traversed from south to north by the Wales Coast Path. At the base of the hill there is an apotropaic site, where people stop at a metal piece in the ground, and perform a ritual known as "kicking the bar", using the soles of their feet. The origin of this custom is unknown, with researchers having several theories as to its origin.
The view from Auchenmalg beach Auchenmalg is a small hamlet situated on the shore of Luce Bay in the parish of Old Luce, Wigtownshire, south-west Scotland. Auchenmalg consists of a village hall, a pub called the Cock Inn, and a caravan park called Luce Bay Holiday Park. The main industries in Auchenmalg are farming and tourism, there is an active dairy farm and the caravan park sits above the beach. In recent years Auchenmalg has been expanded with the construction of a number of new homes on former agricultural land.
Tararu is a former gold-mining village on the west coast of the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. State Highway 25 runs through it; Te Puru being about to the north, and Thames about to the south. Tararu has a boat ramp, a 91-dwelling retirement village, a store, 2 motels, a holiday park and is the northern terminus of the Thames Connector bus. The Category 1 former Thames North School opened on 25 January 1878, closed in 1971 and was taken over by Thames Coromandel Council in 1978.
The entrance to the holiday park. The modern holiday village of Allhallows-on-Sea lies to the north of the ancient village. In the 1930s, the Southern Railway, in an attempt to develop the area around the estuary as a holiday resort, opened a short branch from the Hundred of Hoo Railway branch line to Grain. The terminus, Allhallows-on- Sea railway station, was north of the old village, and the new part of the settlement grew up around the railway station which had opened on 16 May 1932.
As well as the slab attributed to St. Angus, the ancient, primitive font, probably of early medieval origin, is preserved in this building. There is a display on the history of Balquhidder in the church, which is open to the public during the summer, when there is also a programme of evening concerts in the building. The Callander and Oban Railway reached Balquhidder in 1871 but the line closed in 1965. The site of Balquhidder railway station is now a holiday park with log cabins, caravans, camping etc.

The Plum Borough School District is bordered by seven other school districts: Penn Hills School District, Gateway School District, Riverview School District, and Allegheny Valley School District (across the Allegheny River).
He helped build Glenfeshie gliding club on land now owned by Jane Williamson and in 1968 opened Dalraddy Caravan Park (now Dalraddy Holiday Park). He also turned parts of Alvie House into self catering holiday accommodation and rented out the grouse shooting and deer stalking on a commercial basis. In 1983 Dalraddy Estate was transferred into the ownership of Jamie Williamson, the eldest son of Fergus Williamson. Alvie Farm was transferred into a limited partnership with Jamie Williamson being the general partner and Alvie Trust the limited partner.
The Trust was set up in April 2006 to run the building as a charitable non-profit- making organisation. At the beginning of the 2008 summer season a world's first Segway Grand Prix was opened at the Pleasure Beach gardens. The English Pool Association (EPA), the governing body for 8-Ball Pool in England, holds its National Finals Competitions (including Inter-County and Inter-League, singles and team competitions, and England trials) over several weekends through the year, at the Vauxhall Holiday Park on the outskirts of Great Yarmouth.
There is also a locally operated bus by one of the holiday park companies which ferries holidaymakers from their four caravan and camping parks to the beach which helps ease congestion at peak times. The South West Coast Path runs through the village, and gives access to the spectacular North Devon coast, with the walk out to and around Morte Point being particularly popular. There are several establishments in the area that provide opportunities for pony trekking. Some offer experienced riders the chance to ride along Woolacombe Sands.
Camber Sands was featured in Series 2 of Green Wing. Characters Alan Statham and Joanna Clore appear on the beach in the finale and in the Park Resort Holiday Park. The dunes were featured in a 2010 advertisement for Wall's. Camber Sands was the planet Aridius in the 1965 Doctor Who story The Chase, and then in 1986 was the filming location for a scene in the final two parts of the story Trial of a Time Lord, as part of an elaborate illusion generated by the Valeyard in the Matrix.
Pupils now attend school in Kirkmichael. The bridge, for which the village is named, is a Category B listed building and nearby Cally House, an early 19th-century house, is Category C listed. The village is in two parts with Bridge of Cally strictly comprising the hotel, post office and the houses and holiday park on the Kirkmichael road and Strone of Cally the houses and old school on the ridge above the bridge. A third settlement called Netherton lies half a mile away on the Drimmie road around a bridge over the Blackwater beside which is the old water powered wool mill.
The town is also the home of a Butlins Holiday Park which increases Minehead's seasonal tourist population by several thousand. There is a variety of schools and religious, cultural and sporting facilities including sailing and wind surfing and golf. One popular ancient local tradition involves the Hobby Horse, or Obby Oss, which takes to the streets for four days on the eve of the first of May each year, with accompanying musicians and rival horses. The town is the starting point of the South West Coast Path National Trail, the nation's longest long-distance countryside walking trail.

It has parks in both country and coastal locations. The company is a member of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BH&HPA;). In 2009 the company was nominated for 'Best UK Domestic Holiday Operator' in the British Travel Awards and in early 2019, for the third year in a row, global ratings and reviews provider Feefo awarded Park Holidays UK the Gold Service Award.
In Prestatyn, Wales, the phrase was the subject of a 2013 court case, after Anthony Taaffe of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, a guest at a holiday park in Gronant, called an off-duty policeman and security staff "a bunch of sheep-shaggers". Taaffe claimed, in his defence, that the phrase was "a term for people living in the countryside". He also admitted a second similar offence, in which he called a police officer, at the custody unit to which he had been taken, a "Welsh sheep shagger". Taaffe was fined £150 after he admitted racially aggravated disorderly behaviour.
The Burnett Heads Lighthouse Holiday Park In the early 1870s Comboyuro Point Light and Cowan Cowan Point Light, two of the lighthouses on Moreton Island were upgraded. A higher tower with a better apparatus was constructed for Comboyuro Point and an improved apparatus was constructed for Cowan Cowan Point. The old apparatus from Comboyuro Point was installed at Cleveland Point Light. The apparatus from Cowan Cowan Point was installed at the old tower from Comboyuro Point, and the tower was installed at the entrance to Burnett River.. Note that says the tower itself was from Cowan Cowan Point.
Kingsdown is a village immediately to the south of Walmer, itself south of Deal, on the English Channel coast of Kent. Parts of the village are built on or behind the shingle beach that runs north to Deal and beyond, while other parts are on the cliffs and hills inland. The village church of St John the Evangelist was built by local landowner William Curling in 1848. Curling's former residence, Kingsdown House, was acquired by the Brightstone Holiday Centre in 1934 and a holiday camp, now known as Kingsdown Holiday Park, has operated in the grounds up to the present day.
She then had several successful leisure and retail businesses, including a spell operating a Prize Bingo at Butlins in Minehead. In 1988, Meaden joined her family's business to run its amusement arcade operations and in 1992, joined Weststar Holidays, a family holiday park operator based in Exeter, Devon, with its major sites in South West England. In 1999, she led a management buyout and acquired the majority shareholding. By the time she sold the company six years later, Weststar was providing holidays for more than 150,000 people each year with an EBITDA in excess of £11m.
In June 2008, Cadell bought the rights with the intention of saving the franchise and ensuring its future. Alongside conducting new stage shows, he also began work on producing a new programme, which eventually launched on CITV in 2011 under the title of Sooty. Although the format remained the same, the setting focused on misadventures within a holiday park that they helped to run, while scripts were focused on younger audiences. Filming of the series took place at Brean Leisure Park, which Cadell co-owned with his brother, until it was put up for sale in 2014.
After C.J. Naylor's death in 1926, in 1933, the ruins of the house were demolished and the estate auctioned off in 2,000 lots, to try to recoup some of the family fortune. Only the tower and the rotunda (both Grade II listed buildings) remain of the house C.J. Naylor built on the castle site in 1893. Haven Holidays now owns these buildings and operates a holiday park on surrounding of land, with the main complex for the caravan park stretches between these buildings to resemble a large tent. The tower is used as a storeroom, and the rotunda is the Owner's Exclusive lounge.

Commercial flights began in the 1950s and control passed to Glamorgan County Council in 1965, after which date the airport expanded. The village also has a Holiday Park (Fontygary Leisure Park), some shops, a library, two public houses (The Fontygary Inn and the Highwayman), Rhoose Social Club, and an active Surf Lifesaving Club (Rhoose Lifeguards) established in 1968. Rhoose is one of the fastest growing villages in the Vale of Glamorgan, with the two newest developments being "The Hollies", and more recently, Rhoose Point.
The Saskatoon Sanatorium was a tuberculosis sanatorium established in 1925 by the Saskatchewan Anti-Tuberculosis League as the second Sanatorium in the province in Wellington Park south or the Holiday Park neighborhood of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. In 1929 Saskatchewan became the first jurisdiction to implement universal free diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, leading to better control of the disease by the three sanatoriums in the Province (Fort San, Prince Albert Sanatorium and the Saskatoon Sanatorium). With the development of antibiotics and vaccines for tuberculosis, the need for a sanatorium diminished. The last patient was discharged in 1988 and the sanatorium was closed.
A view of Talacre lighthouse The village is probably most popular for the lighthouse on the nearby beach, the Talacre Beach Resort a short walk away from the Presthaven Sands holiday park and its multiple arcades. The lighthouse has been noted for numerous ghostly sightings, people claiming to see a figure wearing old fashioned lighthouse keeper clothes and standing in front of the glass dome of the abandoned lighthouse. The lighthouse was featured in popular British television drama Skins, in the episode Skins Pure. Talacre was used by the armed forces during the Second World War as an aircraft firing range.
Shore Action fought to retain the Takapuna Beach Holiday Park, opposing plans for a hard stand on the reserve. They also wish to save the Anzac St Carpark (currently home of the Takapuna Sunday Markets). They wish to invest in various environmental services by increasing volunteer networks, which they believe will aid in pest eradication and the reduction of pollution in urban streams and coastal areas. Smithson made the environment her central campaign platform and has stated: “Our streams, bush and wildlife are struggling and our unique North Shore environment needs protecting as our city grows.
Hard Rock Hell is a three day music festival currently held at Vauxhall Holiday resort, Great Yarmouth. It was previously held at Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales, and up until 2011 at Pontin's Holiday Village, Prestatyn, Wales. Holding the festival in a holiday camp gives the organisers pre-built venues and stages and because of the on-site accommodation allows them to hold a multi day festival over winter/spring months when outdoor camping is not desirable. The first edition of the festival was held at Butlins Holiday Camp, Minehead, England but the festival relocated to its current location in 2008.
In October of '99, Studio 100 and the VMMa (Vlaamse Media Maatschappij, founded in 1987 as Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij by nine publishers each with an 11.1% share), announced that they would incorporate Meli Park. Right now Studio 100 features five Amusement parks in Belgium ("Plopsaland De Panne", Mayaland Indoor "Plopsa Indoor" Hasselt, "Plopsa Coo" and "Plopsaqua"), one in the Netherlands ("Plopsa Indoor" Coevorden) & one in (Germany) (Holiday Park) The headquarters of Studio 100 are located in Schelle and Londerzeel. Studio 100 has access to the largest recording studios in all of Belgium. Frequently, big events are hosted there, such as the preselections for the Eurovision Song Contest.
ASH design + assessment was commissioned by the Environmental Trust for Scotland on behalf of North Ayrshire Council to undertake a project at Stevenston Beach. Construction for both projects was carried out by a local training organisation. The aim of this project was to conserve this locally scarce natural resource and reduce erosion by pedestrians and quad bikes randomlymoving through the dune area to access the beach. The completed scheme successfully resolved much of the dune erosion issues and has made Stevenston Beach LNR more easily accessible to the community and users of the nearby Sandylands Holiday Park, while helping to preserve the habitats within this important local nature reserve.
The Coffee Roaster, Garden of St Erth, Blackwood Mineral Springs, Holiday Park, Blackwood Ridge Nursery Gardens & Restaurant, Frogmoore gardens, Blackwood Hat Shop, miners' cottages from the 1860s and Mount Blackwood. Mount Blackwood, a short drive away is an extinct volcano offering panoramic views of the surrounding area on clear days. The remnants of Wheeler's Tramway, a former Blackwood sawmill tramway in the Wombat State Forest, are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register for their archaeological significance. The annual Easter Carnival & wood chop, is an important annual event, attracting mostly locals and those that have a family connection to the settlement; but no longer live locally.
Finally, it served as an annexe of Tours hospital, catering for the seriously wounded. Coty's family once again took possession of the château in 1947 and were made several offers. The projects to convert it into the head office of Indre-et-Loire’s general council or into a holiday park were not followed. After two years, in the course of which the library was converted into a lounge bar offering a unique collection of cognac, armagnac, port and whisky, it was opened at the end of 1961, under the name of the "Relais d'Artigny", becoming the first hotel company in Centre-Val de Loire.
In December 2006, a planning application was lodged for the redevelopment of the site. The plan covered the building of seven units of affordable housing, located in the area currently occupied by the platforms, and 37 units of ("temporary") holiday accommodation, the latter to be known as the Atlantic Lodge Holiday Park, and due to be available from 1 May 2009. The surviving station buildings, including the signal box, would be retained, converted to form a reception area, offices and shop for the holiday accommodation. The design of the houses was intended to be sympathetic to the station building, following the same roofline and using similar building materials.
Military port activity ceased in the early 1960s, when most of the military infrastructure, including the railway line, was abandoned, then dismantled, apart from the pier and lighterage wharf. Quarry Camp is now Cairnryan Heights Holiday Park. In the early 1950s, to the South End of the village, houses for were built at Claddyburn Terrace, which increased the village's population. In the late 1960s, ship breaking became the main industry; the British aircraft carriers HMS Centaur, HMS Bulwark, HMS Eagle, and HMS Ark Royal were all sent for breaking up, as well as a number of other vessels, including HMS Mohawk and HMS Blake.
In 2009, four Plum Borough School District schools received extra funding through a Highmark Healthy High 5 grant. Adlai Stevenson School received $4,500 which was used to support physical education activities that will develop teamwork and improved physical fitness for grades K-6. Holiday Park Elementary received $9,500 which was used to support the "Stepping Up to Fitness" pedometer program for students in grades K-6. Oblock Junior High School received $9,908 for heart rate monitors for 7th and 8th grade PE classes. Plum Senior High School received $9,800 which was used for aerobic and resistance training equipment and pedometers for 9th grade students' Physical Education classes.
Parkdean Holidays was formed in November 1999 with a management buyout of Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Wales for £21.4 million, and has since grown through a ‘buy and build’ strategy, growing to operate 24 parks in 2015. Parkdean Holidays was acquired by Alchemy Partners in March 2006, valuing the Company at £139.7m. Park Resorts was created in March 2001 when CBPE (Close Brothers Private Equity), in partnership with a management buy-out team of three led by David Vaughan, decided to purchase twelve Haven freehold caravan parks from Bourne Leisure Ltd. The deal was finalised in May 2001 at a reported cost of £46m.
Hamworthy has two local councillors in Poole Borough Council, one for Hamworthy East, and one for Hamworthy West. In Hamworthy there are six main areas, Rockley (where Royal Marines Poole and Holiday Park are), Turlin Moor Estate, Lower Hamworthy (where Poole Docks are), Cobbs Quay/Harbourside (Which looks out over Holes Bay), Lake Side (where the Metalbox Factory is located) and Central Hamworthy (Location of the Main Road, Co-Op and Church area). Hamworthy was the site of an Iron Age settlement before it was taken over by the Romans in the 1st century and named Moriconium. The Romans made use of the harbour, and built a road from Hamworthy to Badbury Rings.
