Over the course of the game, they come to realize that despite the fact they dislike and get on one another's nerves, they need each other, and are at their best when together.

Twin brothers Richard and Antony Joseph founded Joseph Joseph in 2003, combining respective experience in product design and business – Antony studied design at Central St Martins whilst Richard studied business at Cambridge University. The company started after the brothers' father asked them to help out at his glass manufacturing firm. The company, set up by their grandfather, made toughened glass for products such as cooker hobs. Richard and Antony were given £10,000 worth of stock in order to manufacture glass chopping boards, which still remain part of the Joseph Joseph range.

Numerous Danish folktales contain mythical figures such as trolls, elves, goblins, and wights as well as figures from Norse mythology. The nisse is a particularly well-known legendary figure in Danish folklore, apparently dating back to pre-Christian times when it was believed there were household gods. Other Scandinavian countries also have similar figures and there are similarities to the English brownies and hobs. Just Mathias Thiele collected legends about the nisse in his Danske Folkesagn (Danish Folktales) (1819–1823), which encouraged artists such as Johan Thomas Lundbye to depict the julenisse (Christmas nisse) later in the 19th century.

The Membranes who featured John Robb initially set up their own Vinyl Drip record label in 1981 before achieving three indie top 20 hits from 1984–86, reaching number 6 in John Peel's Festive Fifty in 1984 and making a pre-recorded appearance on Channel 4 rock show The Tube. The Ceramic Hobs formed in 1985 and to date have "made more than 30 uncategorisable releases on vinyl, CD and cassette for many different worldwide record labels". Blackpool musician Lucifer's "Cyber Punk Rock" EPs of 1994 contained the first full vocal songs intended for playback on a computer.

Usually, they have steel hulls and a steel superstructure, but when they were first being developed for leisure use in the 1970s glass reinforced plastic (fibre-glass) or timber was often used above gunwale height. Newer narrowboats, say post 1990, are usually powered by modern diesel engines and may be fitted inside to a high standard. A rumpelstilt or rumpelstilz was consequently the name of a type of goblin, also called a pophart or poppart, that makes noises by rattling posts and rapping on planks. The meaning is similar to rumpelgeist ("rattle ghost") or poltergeist, a mischievous spirit that clatters and moves household objects. (Other related concepts are mummarts or boggarts and hobs, which are mischievous household spirits that disguise themselves.) The ending -chen is a German diminutive cognate to English -kin.

Season 2001–02 saw few changes in the line up (Canadian Ian Burt replacing Henrik Sjodin in goal, Andrew McNiven joining in place of AJ Kelham and Steve Carpenter returning to Blaze colours being the main changes.) The Season started with a run of good results in the Findus Challenge Cup which saw Blaze qualify for the Semi-Finals. This run included the first return visit to Hobs Moat Road in Solihull to take on the reformed Barons (both games saw Blaze victorious). An injury to Andrew McNiven saw ex-Steeler/Panther/Giant Steve Roberts join up with the Blaze. An impressive October/November saw the Blaze matching new-boys Dundee Stars all the way.

The story was recorded by the folklorist R. L. Tongue in 1964 immediately after he heard it from a woman who lived next door to the inn. Everyone in the locality knew about Charlie and he was believed to sit on the beam of holly wood over the fire, which was known as the "clavvy" or "clavey". Once, when the woman was having dinner with a local farmer, the servants set the table at the inn with "silver and linen", but, as soon as they left the room and came back, Charlie had put all the table settings back where they had come from because he did not like the farmer she was meeting with. Hobs are sometimes also known as "Lobs".

Emil Schaub's wages from his work with F. Küppersbusch & Söhne AG (which at that time claimed to be the country's largest supplier of cooking hobs and ovens) at their factory in nearby Schalke were quickly spent as the family grew: hunger and material shortage were, as for the families of many industrial workers in Germany at that time, regular features of Käthe Schaub's childhood. She attended school locally and then, as the eldest child, immediately transferred to work at a textile factory in order to be able to contribute to the family's income. Influenced by her step father, in 1910 she joined a trades union as a textiles worker. Two years later she joined the Social Democratic Party ("Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands" / SPD).

The company, listed on the Milan stock exchange since 1987, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and distributors of large home appliances (washing machines, dryers, washer-dryer, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, cookers, hoods, ovens and hobs). He became president of Confindustria (the Italian Employers’ Federation), a post he held for four years. In 1984, the year he was made a “Cavaliere del lavoro”, he was elected president of Centromarca, an Italian brand association, a post he held until 1988.

In other words, it is the distribution of outgoing links from a node reached by following a link. Sometimes called the old game, this version is played in Wales and Scotland; Scotland had around a dozen clubs, now reduced to one which is based in Stonehaven, under the control of the Scottish Quoiting Association, whilst Wales has only a few clubs, based around Dyfed and Powys. In this game, the top of the spike is flush with the clay, so encircling the pin is not a significant part of the game. The long game has similarities to the game of bowls, in that a player scores a point for each quoit nearer to the pin than his opponent. The hobs are 18 yards apart, while the quoits are typically around nine inches in diameter and weigh up to 11 pounds, almost double that of the northern game.

At one point when he is injured and dying, he sees himself in a World War One flying helmet and sees other dogs, presumably Snoopy's siblings; on another occasion he drives a Zamboni, and later does the Snoopy dance when the giant tiger HOBS has died. Schroeder: Nearly identical to the classic character, this version is a man in his mid-to-late 20s, plays a piano at a bar, and smokes. Like the classic version, he has no interest romantically in Lucy, though this time it is also because she is tied in with "the Syndicate", the same mysterious group which heavily altered Weapon Brown into what he eventually became and which also altered Linus. He is the first character seen in the story clearly, playing Beethoven at the bar where Weapon Brown confronts him.

Ollie dismisses the idea because he is afraid to sail on the ocean, but Stan offers an alternative: they will simply rent a boat and keep it attached to the dock, getting all the sea air they can while never actually going out to sea. A running gag in the episode is when one of the boys tries to turn on the taps and gas hobs, only for the one opposite to go on instead due to the janitor being cross-eyed, which results in Stan destroying half the kitchen area with a gas explosion and Ollie vowing to find the janitor and give him a very large piece of his mind. On the way down, Ollie is accosted by his Scottish neighbor who inquires as to whether he is having trouble with his apartment, then drags him into hers when he confirms it to be all "topsy-turvy". She shows him what happened when she turned on her radio that morning (causing her fridge to loudly blare music when opened, while the radio itself is covered in an indiscernible white substance), causing Ollie to give the janitor a piece of her mind as well.

Stiebel Eltron thus produced frying pans, saucepans and washing sprinklers initially as well as hobs, convection ovens and heating pads after the war. The production of hot water boilers only resumed again in 1946 with 400 employees in Holzminden. On 17 October 1947, the Allies made the decision to dismantle the machines. Stiebel Eltron manufactured galley kitchens for passenger aircraft in 1952 and also coffee machines for commercial aircraft as well as small water heaters (DHW cylinders) from 1957. There were 548 employees in 1953. Stiebel Eltron generated a turnover of 12.6 million DM. In 1954, the company employed 750 workers in three plants, of which 35 percent were expellees. The first type EBK 5 five litre water boilers went into production in 1958, with 145,000 units output in the same year. Company founder Dr Theodor Stiebel died (suicide) aged 66 on 9 September 1960, leaving the company to his two sons from his second marriage, Frank and Ulrich Stiebel, in a 50/50 split. In 1962, Dr. Stiebel Werke GmbH & Co employed more than 2200 people. Convection ovens were offered from 1964 onwards, ironing machines from 1965 onwards (up until the early eighties) and modern electric heaters, including night storage heaters, from 1969 onwards.

Raytheon Press Release, 5 August 2008 The range of the AIM-120D is classified, but is thought to extend to about . The AIM-120D (P3I Phase 4, formerly known as AIM-120C-8) is a development of the AIM-120C with a two-way data link, more accurate navigation using a GPS- enhanced IMU, an expanded no-escape envelope, and improved HOBS (high off- boresight) capability. The AIM-120D max speed is Mach 4 and AIM-120D is a joint USAF/USN project, and is currently in the testing phase. The USN was scheduled to field it from 2014, and AIM-120D will be carried by all Pacific carrier groups by 2020, although the 2013 sequestration cuts could push back this later date to 2022. The Royal Australian Air Force requested 450 AIM-120D missiles, which would make it the first foreign operator of the missile. The procurement, approved by the US Government in April 2016, will cost $1.1 billion and will be integrated for use on the F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler and the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. There were also plans for Raytheon to develop a ramjet-powered derivative of the AMRAAM, the Future Medium Range Air-Air Missile (FMRAAM).
