On December 4, 2004, it was announced that Asuka would be leader of a group called Hinoi Team. Auditions had been held at the dance and vocal school Caless, where Asuka and Hikaru had previously studied singing and dance.

The group were invited to Utaban for the first time on March 23 and performed on Music Fighter the day after. Giving it 4 stars out of 5, Matt Bjorke of Roughstock said that it "is the work of a band that has spent years honing their craft and while a thoroughly modern Country music album". It received a C+ rating from Joseph Hudak of Country Weekly, who said that "these guys believe the musical mayhem they're laying down" and thought that "Independent Trucker" was a highlight, but criticized the lyrics of "Hey Hey Hey" and "Fine".

Until 1983, the Roskilde Festival had rejected Warm Guns on the grounds that they didn't book Danish bands singing in English. However, the band finally got to play the festival's Rhythm Tent – a show recorded by the Danish National Radio. Merzedes Club (commonly misspelled Mercedes Club) is a band created by prolific music composer and producer Barði Jóhannson. Perry promoted "Hey Hey Hey" with several live performances and included the song in the closing segment of her Witness: The Tour (2017–2018) concert tour, where she performed it on a Tron-style motorcycle. Music critics gave mixed reviews of "Hey Hey Hey", with some praising it as one of the highlights of Witness, while others deemed it mediocre and called it a failed attempt at duplicating the success of Perry's older hits. It was also compared to the works of American singer Britney Spears and New Zealand recording artist Lorde. To accompany the track, a music video was uploaded onto Perry's official YouTube account on December 20, 2017.

The clip was filmed by Isaac Rentz in Beverly Hills, California and is set in the 18th century and the Ancien Régime, with the singer's outfits resembling those of the last Queen of France Marie Antoinette and French heroine Joan of Arc. For further promotion, Perry gave several live performances of "Hey Hey Hey", including those during her concert tour Witness: The Tour (2017–2018) and her four-day YouTube live stream Katy Perry Live: Witness World Wide (2017). Cooper of NME compared the recording's "languid, spacious sound" to the works of New Zealand singer Lorde. Other reviewers speculated that "Hey Hey Hey" dealt with the 2016 United States presidential election nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, with Perry taking side with the latter. Zaleski of The A.V. Club was negative towards the track, calling it "galling" and "particularly oblivious". She noted the line, "'Cause I'm feminine and soft, but I'm still a boss, yeah", was not in concordance with the "not [...] warm or relatable" Clinton, whom Perry supported on multiple occasions.

Despite calling it a "well-crafted" release "for longevity's sake", he admitted that it might be time for McMahon "to add a little change to his normal routine". Entertainment Weekly Benjamin Wood compared the album to The Glass Passenger sonically, writing that a number of tracks "seem like cut-and- dry Passenger 2.0". He described the album as remaining mainly up-tempo, apart from one track; "Hey Hey Hey (We're All Gonna Die)". Chad Grischow of IGN said it had "good intentions, but comes off a bit too safe at points".

In 1981-82 Lorentzen left Warm Guns to join Bamses Venner, followed by Nielsen who left to focus on his regular band, Gnags. With newcomers Kaj Weber (bass) and Troels Møller (drums) Warm Guns recorded the EP 4 Heartbreakers Only (1982) and third album Follow Your Heart Or Fall (1983). The album was recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen with Nils Henriksen producing. On the following tour an expanded lineup with Lars Kiehn (keyboards) and Jacob Perbøll (guitar) played the Roskilde Festival, where the live album Hey-Hey-Hey Live Roskilde Festival 83 (1983) was recorded.

Another foray into the world of music was in 1977, with release of the album È amore ("It is Love"), with the title song written by Shel Shapiro. The LP also contains "Mi vuoi" ("You want me", written by Ivano Fossati and published the following year on a single version of Marcella Bella) and a cover of Roberto Carlos, "Io bella figlia" ("I, Beautiful Daughter").

The album's title The Glass Passenger is taken from "Hey Hey Hey (We're All Gonna Die)", a track written early in the writing process. Ultimately, it was not recorded for the album but appeared on the band's next album People and Things (2011). McMahon said it was symbolic of his fragile state in the days leading up to his diagnosis. He wanted to avoid writing "the cancer record" as he described it, preferring instead to tackle other themes that had cropped up in his life—the most common being able to find "light in the struggle [of getting through life]".

Wirt contributed additional production to all tracks except "Release Me", "Restless Dream" and "Casting Lines". Doug McKean and Kevin Dean served as engineers throughout the sessions; McKean solely for "Release Me" at Lightning Sound, while "Restless Dream" was engineered by Dean and Scott. Jeff Hannan handled additional engineering on "Release Me", alongside engineer Spencer Guerra, as well as "Television", "Amy, I", "Hey Hey Hey (We're All Gonna Die)", "People, Running", "Amelia Jean", "Platform Fire", and "Hostage". Steve Rea and Russ Waugh acted as assistant engineers on all tracks except for "Restless Dream", and they were aided by engineer Aaron Walk for "Release Me".

"(It's Hard) Letting You Go" was written by Jon Bon Jovi for the movie called Moonlight and Valentino in which he appeared. "Something To Believe In" is an introspective song about a man questioning everything around him. Richie Sambora's "Hey, hey, hey" chant on the song is lifted from the demo. It was spot-on they kept it and used it on the album. "Diamond Ring" was originally written for the album New Jersey in 1988 and was played live six times during the New Jersey Syndicate Tour,Bon Jovi Setlists; ‘Diamond Ring’ but never made it onto any previous Bon Jovi album.

It includes a duet with Marc Lavoine called "Viola" as well as songs called Hey Hey Hey, Ma Sainte-Nitouche, La Trève. Her song "Née de l'amour et de la haine" is also included. In September 2014, after a gap of five years, and much to the acclaim of her fans, Najoua has released a new song 'Rendez-Vous' with accompanying video, shot in the night by the banks of the Seine in a deserted Paris. There is also an acoustic live performance video of Rendez-Vous filmed under a bridge over the Seine at night.

Jaurim (자우림, 紫雨林, meaning "Purple Rainforest") is a rock band from Seoul, South Korea. They had performed in the indie scene in 1993, and became major with their first released single 'Hey Hey Hey' (an original soundtrack of 꽃을 든 남자, A Man who is holding Flowers). They have released ten full-length albums, three unofficial albums, two original soundtrack singles, one original soundtrack EP (which was released as a digital single), and one concert album. Their ninth full-length album, 'goodbye, grief' (part of their "25 Waiting for 21 Project"), was released on October 14, 2013.

This album is one of Hancock's first departures from the traditional idioms of jazz, as well as the beginning of an original and creative style which eventually appealed to a wider audience, e.g. in his 1973 album Head Hunters. In addition, Mwandishi was Hancock's attempt at continuing the musical principles and styles he explored in his previous experiences with Miles Davis, e.g. on In A Silent Way. Hancock's previous explorations of jazz fusion included Fat Albert Rotunda, an album related to a TV special featuring the character and phrase ‘’Hey, Hey, Hey, It's Fat Albert’’; this TV special later inspired Bill Cosby's Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

McMahon debuted a new song titled "Restless Dream" during an acoustic tour in Australia in February 2011. On March 21, 2011, McMahon sent an email to his fans announcing a summer tour with Guster and revealing the title of Jack's Mannequin's third studio album: "In a perfect world we will be finished with Jack's third album, 'People and Things', by the end of this month." According to the drummer, Jackson, Redding wrote "Respect", after a conversation they had during a break in the recording session, in which he told Redding: "You're on the road all the time. An alternative story is told by Redding's friend and road manager, Earl "Speedo" Sims, who states that the song "came from a group I was singing with", and that even though Redding rewrote it, "a lot of the lyric was still there"; Sims adds: "He told me I would get a credit, but I never did". Before the release of an accompanying music video for "Hey Hey Hey", Perry began teasing it with a series of the last Queen of France Marie Antoinette-themed pictures of herself. The clip was subsequently uploaded onto the singer's official YouTube channel on December 20, 2017, with a behind-the-scenes video premiering on January 4, 2018 on the same platform. It uses a winter metaphor for an inhospitable lover, and includes an anvil that was played by Scott. "Hey Hey Hey (We're All Gonna Die)" was written early during the writing process for The Glass Passenger, but was only half-written and left unrecorded for it. While on tour for the album, McMahon revisited a venue at which he played during the early days of Jack's Mannequin, where he wrote the song's third verse; according to him, "it just seemed appropriate somehow". The track includes the B3 Hammond organ, played by Phil Parlapiano, a violin played by Marisa Kuney, a viola played by Jeanie Lim, and a cello played by Mary Ginger Murphy.

"Mmm Yeah" is a dance-pop song which contains a "swirling" production, funk-influenced trumpets, a percussion-heavy four on the floor electropop beat, and influences of Chicago house, hip hop, and Latin music. It is written in the key of F# minor. The track heavily samples lyrics from Lidell Townsell's 1992 single "Nu Nu", especially in the chorus. Lyrically, the song speaks of being rejected by an attractive woman walking down a street: "We can do whatever/ Do whatever we want/ When she walked past me I said 'hey, hey, hey' So tell me where you from where you want to go/ She walked past me like I ain't say a word".

In 2016, she released the song "Hurts So Good", which was included on her debut self-titled extended play, Astrid S. She also supported Troye Sivan on his European tour. The following year she released her second EP, Party's Over. In 2017, Smeplass provided backing vocals on "Hey Hey Hey" by American singer Katy Perry from her album Witness. In 2017, Smeplass' cover of Cezinando's "Vi er perfekt men verden er ikke det" was featured on the soundtrack of the fourth season of Skam and Smeplass performed it at the award ceremony P3 Gull the same year. He spent more than five years working with one of the most successful songwriters of our generation, Diane Warren, producing demo recordings on her songs. He has also produced music with American Idol Season 5 Winner Taylor Hicks, Wanessa Camargo, Ryan Shupe & The Rubberband (Hey Hey Hey, 2004 Pearl Award for Contemporary Album Of The Year), Due West, Carmen Rasmusen and Eric e Henrique. With his remixing partner Silvio Richetto, Deere had a run of hit single remixes for artists like Jamey Johnson, Joe Nichols, Lady Antebellum and the best known being Trace Adkins’ Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.

Sung during the last two minutes of every home football game, the members of the Longhorn Band place their arms around each other, begin swaying from side to side and then jump up-and-down as they sing their own colorful take on a traditional state song: > Home, home on the range, > where the deer and the antelope play [shout: with themselves!] > Where seldom is heard, > a discouraging word, > and the skies are not cloudy all day. [Hey, hey, hey] The tradition started in the 1970s when the band would often sing dirty songs in the stands. The director at the time yelled at the band to sing something nice like "Home on the Range", and so the version now sung was created.

" Wass concluded that "Witness might be overly ambitious and is definitely a couple of songs too long, but dance- pop experiments don't come much more enjoyable than this." Giving Witness 3 out of 5 stars, Christopher R. Weingarten wrote in Rolling Stone that it was comparable to the music of Halsey and Camila Cabello, and that the songs blended "into the rest of the radio." He also did not like how Perry's voice was "devoured in effects and reverb." Sal Cinquemani gave the same score, praising the empowerment themes within "Hey Hey Hey" and "Power", though ultimately felt that the record "lacks both the big hooks that propelled Perry's past hits up the charts and the conceptual and sonic focus to give her pop real purpose.

In 2007, Coppola was signed to Ipecac Recordings, which was started by Faith No More frontman Mike Patton. In November of that year, the label released Coppola's eighth studio album, The Black & White Album, her first "easily available release" since her debut album, released a decade before, according to AllMusic. Upon its release, the album received favorable reviews from music critics, earning a score of 75 out of 100 on review aggregate site Album of the Year. The album spawned two singles: "Raindrops from the Sun (Hey, Hey, Hey)", which appeared in an episode of Grey's Anatomy (titled "Kung Fu Fighting"), and "Woke Up White", which Spin included on their list of "Songs You Need to Download Now!" in their October 2007 issue.
