Katerina Zacharia, "'Reel' Hellenisms: Perceptions of Greece in Greek Cinema" in Katerina Zacharia, Hellenisms, p. 323 The Manaki brothers used a 35 mm Urban Bioscope camera that Yanaki imported from London in 1905. Yanaki and Milton filmed documentaries about various aspects of life in the city of Manastir. They made a name for themselves in their local photography studio and, in 1906, they received an invitation from King Carol I of Romania to participate in the Bucharest Jubilee Exhibition, where they won a gold medal for their collection and were asked to be the King's official photographers.

He wrote attacks in Latin on the Jesuits. His Latin poems were filled with Latinized Polish words, and on the other hand his Polish poems were often made unintelligible by the use of Latinisms and Hellenisms literally translated. He lived his last years on the charity of the Jesuits.

Under the direction of Galina Pugachenkova and Valery Germanov, Svetlana Gorshenina has defended her dissertation on the epistemology of archaeology and art history of Central Asia. Gorshenina has been a researcher at the Institute of Fine Arts and Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and of the Swiss National Science Foundation at University of Lausanne and University of Manchester. An associate researcher in the team "Hellenisms of Asia and Oriental Civilisations" of the CNRS at École Normale Supérieure. Director of the "Central Asia" programme of the (Asia-IMASIE Network), at the University of Tashkent.

The fragmentary nature of the text admits of more than one sequential ordering of the contents, giving rise to more than one useful translation, and some public discussion (see § References). The manuscript appears to date from the 6th century; Hellenisms in the vocabulary and grammar suggest that it was translated from a lost Greek original. The hypothetic original Greek text on which it is based is thought to have been composed somewhere in the late second or early third century, judging from the theology and style. The Gospel is not a narrative but a dialogue, a form often chosen in Antiquity for didactic material.
