Aramide Sarumoh, (born 22 June 1985), known professionally as Aramide, is a Nigerian Afro-soul singer and songwriter. She won Best Vocal Performance (Female) for "Iwo Nikan" at the Headies 2015. She graduated with a political science degree from the University of Jos. In 2019, Aramide was appointed by The Recording Academy to the board of governors for the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Academy.

He has won several awards including The Headies 2013 for Producer of the Year.

Portrait shot of Del B Ayodele Basil, better known as Del B, is a Nigerian (composer) sound engineer, record producer. and songwriter. He is best known for producing Kcee's hit single "Limpopo", which went on to be voted Song of The Year at the 2013 edition of The Headies. In 2012, he produced the single "Shake" by Flavour N'abania, which received critical acclaim among music critics.
The video of the song was shot in Lagos and directed by Jassy Generation. It premiered on video sharing website YouTube on June 11, 2014. On September 10, 2014, Shaydee signed an endorsement deal with Metro Taxi, a Nigeria-based taxi service company. On March 18, 2015, Shaydee released a single titled "High", a song which earned him a nomination at the 2015 edition of The Headies.

Iledare Oluwajuwonlo (born 6 June 1986), better known by his stage name Jaywon, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, performer, producer and actor. He launched his record label named Next World Music in 2013 after his exit from Kennis Music. Jaywon was honoured with the Best New Artist award at the Nigerian Music Video Awards in 2009. He also received Best Recording award at The Headies 2013 and the Tush Awards for 'This Year' song.

On 13 April, he received a nomination at the 12th Headies Award in Nigeria in the category of Best African Artiste alongside Nasty C, Sarkodie from Ghana, Kenyan group Sauti Sol, and Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee.
The Patoranking-assisted track "Melanin" was released on November 21, 2017, as the album's lead single. Damilola Animashaun of Konbini Channels praised the band's vocals and Patoranking's dancehall sound. Sauti Sol was nominated for African Artiste of the Year at The Headies 2019 for "Melanin". Young John started playing musical instrument as a child. He formed a group called AVG along with his brothers before he got signed to Hit Factory Studio in 2012. While working as producer at Hit Factory, he produced a chart-topping single by Olamide titled "Story For The Gods". He was nominated for "Producer of The Year" at the 2015 edition of The Headies for his work on "Bobo", a song by Olamide which rose to critical acclaim.

Another method of utilising social media in order to boost a song was seen in the promotion of "Dorobucci", released in 2014, wherein Don Jazzy encouraged people to record themselves singing the song prior to release. Furthermore, the song was nominated for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2012 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
The image of The Headies was created by Ayo Animashaun, the founder of the awards, and drawn by Matthias Aragbada. The first Headie plaque was done by Jide Adewoye. It represents the "image and the shout of a young, vibrant individual whose talent can challenge that of renowned local and international artistes combined, but who has almost lost confidence in his abilities in the face of discouraging circumstances presented by the peculiar Nigerian environment." In 2008, the plaque was redone in the United Kingdom.
In 2014, his song, "Oya Now" in which he featured Oritsefemi got another nomination for The Headies Best Collaboration Video award. He got two more nominations in the NMVA 2014 edition, one for his song, "You Are In Love" which was nominated for Best R'n'b Video category which was won by Niyola and the other for his new video "Oya Now" nominated for Best Video by A New Act which he won. After the success of "Dem Mama", Timaya decided to continue with producer K-Solo. He recorded seven more songs for his first album True Story, which was eventually released in 2007. David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992), better known as Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He studied Business Administration at Oakwood University before dropping out to make beats and record vocal references. Davido rose to fame after releasing "Dami Duro", the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), from which six additional singles—"Back When", "Ekuro", "Overseas", "All of You", "Gbon Gbon", and "Feel Alright"—were taken. In 2012, Davido won the Next Rated award at The Headies.
In August 2013, Laoye headlined the Nigerian Corner at the Nottinghill Carnival in the United Kingdom, an event which attracts thousands of Nigerians living across the United Kingdom. In the same year, Laoye went on a church tour of England, which took her to London, Manchester, Loughton and Warrington. In September 2013, Laoye performed alongside R&B; legend Mary J. Blige at the "Sisters with Soul" concert in Lagos, Nigeria. Laoye headlined the 2014 Headies Awards as well as the 10th Anniversary of the Rhythm Unplugged Concert in December 2014.
Young John is a Nigerian record producer and audio engineer. He is best known for producing the critically acclaimed single titled "Story For The Gods" off Olamide's Street OT album. With music production credits on albums including Street OT and 2 Kings, Young John was ranked #3 in The NET 's list of "Nigeria's Top 7 Biggest Music Producers" and went on to be nominated in the "Producer of The Year" categories at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and The Headies 2015. He works with Hit Factory Studio which is currently affiliated with YBNL Nation.

Oludemilade Martin Alejo (born January 29, 1993), known professionally as Ycee (also stylized as YCee), is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter. He gained popularity after his single "Condo", which features vocals by Patoranking, earned him two nominations at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He was also nominated for Best Artist in African Pop at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards and for Next Rated at The Headies 2016. Ycee signed a record deal with Sony Music in October 2016, but terminated his contract with the label in February 2018.
Ogulu manages the musical careers of her son Damini, who performs as Burna Boy and daughter Nissi, who performs under her own name. She managed Burna Boy until 2014 and then became his manager again from 2017 onwards, gaining the nickname Mama Burna. She has collected awards for Burna Boy at various events, including the All Africa Music Awards, The Headies and the MTV Europe Music Award. When she heard that Burna Boy had won the 2019 MTV award for Best African Act, she interrupted his show to tell him.
