Finally in 1900, she was returned to naval control and transferred to Portsmouth, where she was sold for breaking up on 11 July 1905. In Greek mythology, Chrysopeleia (; Greek Χρυσοπέλεια) was a hamadryad nymph. The most prolonged account of her is given in John Tzetzes' scholia on Lycophron, and runs as follows. The tree in which Chrysopeleia dwelt was put in danger by the waters of a flooding river. She was rescued by Arcas, who happened to be hunting in the neighborhood: he rerouted the river and secured the tree with a dam.

He was the twin brother of Aegyptus, king of Arabia while Euripides adds two others, Cepheus, king of Ethiopia and Phineus, betrothed of Andromeda. A steam Engine, Hudswell Clarke, at the museum The Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum was located in Butetown, Cardiff, Wales, prior to the Cardiff Bay regeneration in the late 1990s. The museum formed part of the National Museums and Galleries of Wales, now known as Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales and the first stage opened in 1977, and it closed just 22 years later in 1998. Construction of the museum began in October 1974. Exhibits included cars, a bus and tram, a lighthouse, a figurehead from HMS Hamadryad, the Sea Alarm tugboat and a replica of Richard Trevithick's 1803 locomotive, Pen-y- Darren.

Cardiff Bay before the construction of the Cardiff Bay Barrage The Cardiff Bay Development Corporation (CBDC) was created in 1987 to stimulate the redevelopment of 1,100 hectares (2,700 acres) of derelict land. The Development Corporation aimed to attract private capital by spending public money to improve the area. Despite opposition by environmentalists and wildlife organisations, the mudflats at the mouths of the River Taff and River Ely were inundated, with loss of habitat for wading birds. The Barrage has created several new habitats for freshwater species with the wetlands to the south of the Hamadryad Park.
