Foxx gives a devastatingly subdued portrayal of an innocent man stripped of his humanity, and it's his (really great) performance that is getting the most buzz.

Freeland: Yeah, that's her, that's that little grain that she latches onto initially to motivate her to go break into this complex, which is a crazy thing to do, but that's the grain, and then obviously we find out later on that they're not like them at all, and then I thought, Maggie Grace gave this great performance.

The show took more than three years off between season two and season three, as creator Nic Pizzolatto worked to find a story he was passionate about telling (rather than season two's confusing morass), and it's resulted in a straightforward, down-to-Earth rural noir, set in Arkansas, spanning 35 years, and grounded by a great performance from Oscar winner Mahershala Ali.

We'll have a full review of the OM-D E-M1 Mark II when it becomes available, but the camera body's impressive list of capabilities, combined with new lens offerings from Olympus like the extremely versatile F/4 12-100mm (24-200mm equivalent on 35mm) make it a strong contender for a solution that provides great performance in a very wide range of shooting situations.

Apple is finally bidding farewell to iTunes for the Mac, breaking the bloated software into three more focused apps: Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV. The company says these apps should offer great performance, but I've been testing Catalina on a 2016 MacBook Pro — and this is still an early beta — so it's hard to gauge how much faster they are than iTunes.

Among other entries in the upper-right, I thought it would be cool to incorporate B.J. NOVAK, in order to highlight both his great performance in "The Office" and the unusual opening letter sequence of BJN- (see a pattern here yet?) As it was the last to go in, filling the lower-right took the most time, but I'm pleased with how it turned out, especially with the unexpected intersection of CAKE MIX and XS AND OS at the X.
