Nirdlinger could handle a simple envelope and enclosure printed in one color, or an elaborate trade catalogue of 300 pages. She had arranged and delivered complete catalogues, illustrating men's and women's fashions, shoes, stoves, machinery, fire-brick, toys, jewelry, and automobiles, and graphically designed booklets on numerous subjects.

The Graphica- Belgica Prize is an award that is given to the best technically and graphically designed book. It was founded in 1962 on the initiative of Count de Villages de Clercamps. Baudin won the prize two times before he was asked to be a member of the jury. He edited and designed the reports.

The Chart is the student newspaper of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. The paper was founded in 1939 by Kenneth McCaleb, a student at what was then Joplin Junior College. The newspaper is printed weekly during the fall and spring semesters, for a total of 24 issues a year, and is written, edited and graphically designed by Missouri Southern students.

In 1996, UMBILICUS and Ithaka Darin Pappas were as the cover story of the American culture publication Speak Magazine (founded by Dan Rolleri and graphically designed by renowned art director, Martin Venesky). A close-up navel photograph from the UMBILICUS series appeared on the cover of issue #3. The image was considered controversial and disturbing causing the edition to be immediately returned by hundreds of distributors and newsstands. It was the worst-selling issue in Speak Magazine's history.

In 1959 Weill was appointed sales director and subsequently director of publishing for the Israel Program for Scientific Translations (IPST), then part of the Prime Minister's Office. The program used the scientific and language knowledge of immigrants to Israel to translate scientific publications from the Soviet bloc with which the scientific world in the west was not familiar. During that time he founded and served as the publisher of Israel Universities Press, a publishing imprint of IPST. He introduced western publishing standards to Israel, including graphically- designed hard covers and a standard sales price.

Four years later Mauser signed a contract with Massive Management, whose artist roster consists of such bands as Vader, Sceptic, Decapitated and many others, and started looking for new members to his band. With help of Doc (Vader), Novy (Devilyn) and Hiro (Sceptic) the band prepared material for full debut album. On 5 June 2000 Dies Irae entered the Selani Studio to record their debut album. Titled Immolated, it was produced by Szymon Czech, and graphically designed by Jacek Wisniewski, who had been previously responsible for several Vader's cover artworks ("Kingdom", "Black to the Blind", " Live In Japan").

Hsien- Ko (Lei-Lei) was chiefly created by Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge planners Haruo Murata and Noritaka Funamizu and graphically designed by Hitoshi Nishio, an artist responsible for the look of the new characters in the game. It was the first time Nishio has worked on a female character. In the beginning, Funamizu envisioned two human sisters who would have fought together, in a way similar to Morrigan Aensland's "Astral Vision" special move that makes Morrigan's double appear on other side of the screen and mirror her every move. That idea was abandoned due to the problems related to programming character control problems.

In 1949 Schneiders went to Lindau as an independent photojournalist, where he lived and worked with his wife Ingeborg from 1952 until his death in 2006. His archive is housed in the F. C. Gundlach Foundation in Hamburg, his war photography in the German Federal Archive in Koblenz. In 1949 Schneiders co- founded the avant-garde photography group fotoform alongside Siegfried Lauterwasser, Peter Keetman, Wolfgang Reisewitz, Otto Steinert and Ludwig Windstoßer. With their graphically designed images, the fotoform photographers referred to the photographic trends of the 1920s and early 1930s and drew attention to the creative possibilities of photography.

One popular method of writing a functional specification document involves drawing or rendering either simple wire frames or accurate, graphically designed UI screenshots. After this has been completed, and the screen examples are approved by all stakeholders, graphical elements can be numbered and written instructions can be added for each number on the screen example. For example, a login screen can have the username field labeled '1' and password field labeled '2,' and then each number can be declared in writing, for use by software engineers and later for beta testing purposes to ensure that functionality is as intended. The benefit of this method is that countless additional details can be attached to the screen examples.
