According to Buffy creator Joss Whedon, the introduction of Dawn in Season Five was partly so protagonist Buffy Summers could experience a "really important, intense emotional relationship" with someone other than a boyfriend.
Wesley is introduced in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season three (1998–1999) episode "Bad Girls" as the new Watcher of Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Faith (Eliza Dushku). Pompous and ineffective, he fails to elicit any respect from either his Slayers or his predecessor, Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), all of whom frequently ridicule and undermine him. He develops a crush on high school senior Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter), and their mutual flirting throughout the season culminates in a pair of awkward kisses in the finale "Graduation Day, Part Two". When Faith goes rogue after accidentally killing a human being, the Scooby Gang neglect to inform Wesley, and his subsequent interference ruins Faith's brief chance at redemption.
In addition to the more "adult"-oriented Outsiders series, the end of The Titans and the events of Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day saw the debut of a third Teen Titans series, launched in September 2003 by writer Geoff Johns (who would write the first 45 issues, as well as sundry spin-offs), with artist Mike McKone for most of the first 23 issues. The series featured (and features) Titans old and new, including the core Young Justice team, whose Robin, Impulse, and Wonder Girl fill the shoes of original Titans' first Robin, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl. The team was founded by other former-Titans Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy, and continues to tie into most previous incarnations of the team in a number of ways.
This was the last season where John Infantino, previously the supervising director for seasons 2 through 6, wrote for the show (leaving after "The Dome Experiment Special", though "Terror Tales of the Park V" was aired out of order). This was also the last season for writer Michele Cavin (who left at the end of the season to write for Pickle and Peanut, Future- Worm!, and Amphibia). During a press interview by Bubbleblabber, Quintel confirmed that during the season a special, "wintery-themed" episode would air later in the year, and that the season seven finale would be a half-hour special titled "Rigby's Graduation Day Special" that would change the course of the series."NYCC 2015: ‘Regular Show’ Press Interviews".
In the episode "Graduation Day, Part One," Oz and Willow make love before the impending confrontation with the evil Mayor Wilkins. After graduation, he attends UC Sunnydale together with Buffy and Willow, and is seen taking 'Introduction to Psychology' by Professor Walsh along with them. Unlike the other two, he does not have a dorm room, but stays in a house off campus along with the rest of the band,Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season Four, episode 1,"The Freshman" and now locks himself up into a cage in a crypt at a local cemetery. Oz makes one appearance on Angel to deliver the Ring of Amarra, and plays a crucial role in the plot of that episode ("In the Dark").
Though Buffy is unable to prevent Angel from killing himself, the Powers That Be intervene and convince Angel that he has a greater purpose. Although the First is still out there, the antagonist of the season is shown to be the affable Mayor Richard Wilkins (Harry Groener), who is near completion of his plan to "ascend" to become a giant snake-like demon – having already gained immortality through a Faustian bargain with demons when he founded Sunnydale a century ago. The final step is to be a massacre of students on Sunnydale High's graduation day. Although Faith works with Buffy at first, after accidentally killing a human, Faith becomes irrational and sides with Mayor Wilkins, whose charismatic behavior influences Faith's dark side.
Wonder Woman vol. 2 #168–169 While aiding the Amazons, Donna also came into contact with the villain Angle Man who immediately became enamored with her. After their awkward yet flirtatious first meeting, a seriously wounded Angle Man later teleported himself to Donna seeking her help after being attacked by The Cheetah.Wonder Woman vol. 2 #180–187 In a separate battle, Donna was apparently killed by a rogue Superman robot in the Titans/Young Justice crossover "Graduation Day", but was later shown to be alive on another world. The Return of Donna Troy, a four-issue miniseries written by Phil Jimenez with art by José Luis García-López and George Pérez, expanded upon the resurrection of Donna Troy and cleared up her multiple origins.
216x216px George Archainbaud's Thirteen Women (1932) tells the story of a sorority whose former members are set against one another by a vengeful peer who crosses out their yearbook photos, a device used in subsequent films Prom Night (1980) and Graduation Day (1981). Early examples include a maniac seeking revenge in The Terror (1928), based on the play by Edgar Wallace. B-movie mogul Val Lewton produced The Leopard Man (1943), about a murderer framing his crimes against women on an escaped show leopard. Basil Rathbone's The Scarlet Claw (1944) sees Sherlock Holmes investigate murders committed with a five-pronged garden weeder that the killer would raise in the air and bring down on the victim repeatedly, an editing technique that became familiar in the genre.
Andi (Emma's best friend) is finally becoming a Guardian, as she is now training and studying at the WITS Academy, the Magic Realm's most esteemed school for witches and wizards- in-training, or WITs. As the best friend and unofficial Guardian to the Chosen One, she will have to work hard to prove that she can live up to expectations as the first and only human Guardian. Andi is also in charge of getting two of the Academy's toughest WITs to graduation day: Jessie, Jax's little sister, and Ben, a young wizard-in-training. The Mangler 2 (also known as The Mangler 2: Graduation Day) is a 2002 film and a direct-to-video sequel to the 1995 theatrical release The Mangler, which was based on a 1972 short story of the same name by Stephen King. It stars Lance Henriksen and Chelse Swain. While the original was about a demon-possessed industrial laundry-machine, this film places the demon in a private school's computer network, where it manifests as a destructive computer virus with some of the same abilities as a ouija board. The film was critically panned for, among other things, its similarity to another King adaptation, The Lawnmower Man (whose producers King sued to remove his name from the marketing, given its threadbare connection to his original story), and lack of relevance to its predecessor.

By the fourth season, Zoey is seen dating a young French man named Jean-Paul Pierre Claude Charpentier. Zoey graduates summa cum laude from Georgetown University. On her graduation day, she is kidnapped and held for several days, which leads President Bartlet to invoke the 25th Amendment, transferring presidential authority to Speaker of the House Glen Allen Walken as Acting President of the United States.
The Shrine of Saint Gabriel At the canonization of Saint Gabriel, Pope Benedict XV declared him a patron saint of Catholic youth, of students, and of those studying for the priesthood. In 1959, Pope John XXIII named him the patron of the Abruzzi region, where he spent the last two years of his life. Millions of pilgrims visit St. Gabriel's shrine in Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia near Teramo each year to see the saint's burial place and the monastic house in which he lived out his final years. There is an ongoing tradition every March, when thousands of high school students from the Abruzzo and the Marche regions of Italy visit his tomb 100 days before their expected graduation day and pray to him in order to achieve good scores on their final.
Percy West is a student at Sunnydale High who appears in Seasons Three and Four, starting with the episode "Doppelgangland", and is played by Ethan Erickson. When Percy's low grades nearly make him ineligible for the basketball team, Principal Snyder insists that Willow tutor him; in Percy's mind, this means that Willow is going to do his work for him. After a frightening run-in with Willow's doppelgänger, a vampire from an alternate reality, Percy takes Willow's tutoring more seriously, writing up essays on both Presidents Roosevelt when he only needs to write about one, giving her an apple and quickly taking off. Later in the season, he helps to organize the students into a fighting force on graduation day in order to battle vampires and the Mayor himself.
The two-part season finale "Graduation Day" reveals that the Mayor will be the keynote speaker at Sunnydale High's commencement ceremony, where he will be able to feed on the students after his transformation. On orders from the Mayor, Faith murders a geologist who has uncovered evidence of a previously ascended demon, then shoots Angel with a poisoned arrow to distract Buffy and the Scoobies, who have to care for, and try to save, Angel. When they learn that the only antidote to the poison is the blood of a Slayer, Buffy tries to capture Faith in order to use her blood to cure Angel. During the fight to do so, Buffy stabs Faith with the knife given to her by the Mayor; Faith escapes, but her injuries put her into the hospital, comatose.

Disheartened by the loss of his sanctuary, he does not care about even the impending assimilation of mankind by the Phalanx, until he receives news from the Beast, Forge, Mr. Sinister and Amelia Voght that his son, Quicksilver, has been kidnapped by the Phalanx in the second part of the two-part fifth-season premiere. He teams up with them to defeat the Phalanx and save everyone they had captured or assimilated. His final appearance is in the last episode of the series "Graduation Day", he has gathered up an entire army of rebellious mutants, and is poised to conquer the world, but receives news from Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean Grey that Professor Xavier is dying.
Tout Seul began his racing career in a six furlong maiden race at Chepstow Racecourse on 6 June. Starting a 14/1 outsider in a ten-runner field he took the lead in the final furlong and drew away to in by three lengths from Graduation Day. Eight days later, in a novice race (for horses with no more than one previous win) over the same course and distance he started 5/2 favourite and won by a length from the filly Elidore, to whom he was conceding nine pounds in weight. The colt then ran on 27 June at Salisbury Racecourse in an auction race (a contest in which the weights carried by the horses are determined by the median price of their sire's offspring at auction) and finished second of the seven runners behind Cosmo.
A sign saying "Reelect Mayor Wilkins" is visible; since no election is currently being held, this indicates a past re- election bid. By the 1990s, Sunnydale appeared to have become a typical town on the California coast, with a popular mayor, a police force that Principal Snyder describes as "deeply stupid,"Episode 2/22, "Becoming, Part 2." and a local newspaper (the Sunnydale PressIt can be seen in "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date", "Reptile Boy", "Becoming, Part One", "Bad Girls", "Consequences", "Graduation Day, Part One", "Hush", and "Once More, with Feeling".). However, Mayor Wilkins had instructed the police to cover up any supernatural or mysterious violence occurring in the city, and had instructed Principal Snyder to cover up supernatural violence occurring at Sunnydale High.In "Lovers Walk" (3.08), Wilkins refers to having covered up Spike and Drusilla's rampages during season two.
Math and Physics Club began as a basement project for longtime friends Charles Bert (vocals) and James Werle (guitar). Their first release was a digital-only single on Comfort Stand Recordings which featured an early version of the song "Graduation Day", along with a b-side titled "Everybody Lies". Both songs featured keyboards by early collaborator Andrew Hall, according to the Comfort Stand web site, and who is also credited with playing keyboards on two songs on their first EP, and is credited as a co-writer with the band on the song "Nothing Really Happened" on their third EP. By mid-2004, the band's lineup featured Kevin Emerson on drums, Saundrah Humphrey on violin, and Ethan Jones on bass. The band's initial demo attracted the attention of both Jimmy Tassos of Matinee Recordings and the influential KEXP DJ John Richards.

Athletic competition began within the first decade after the founding of Kansas State Agricultural College in 1863, as students began organizing and playing games of baseball against locals from Manhattan. Beginning in 1890, a baseball game between the faculty and the senior class became an annual feature of graduation day. According to most sources, intercollegiate competition began on Thanksgiving Day 1893, when Kansas State's football team defeated St. Mary's College 18–10.Kansas State University: A Pictorial History, 1863–1963 (Manhattan, Kansas: Kansas State University), 1962. A baseball match against St. Mary's College followed on May 26, 1894. (St. Mary's was a regional athletics powerhouse, whose recent graduates included baseball pioneers Charles Comiskey and Ted Sullivan.) These matches are not, however, reflected in the school's official histories, and the first official contest recorded is a 14–0 loss to Fort Riley in a football game on November 28, 1896.

She did not make it onstage, but the clip of her running to Contestants' Row was rebroadcast as part of The Price Is Right 25th Anniversary Special in August 1996 and also was featured on the special broadcast Game Show Moments Gone Bananas. By popular demand, the original Teen Titans team (now all older, and under new aliases) was given its own title once more in March 1999, after a three-issue (December 1998 – February 1999) mini-series teaming them with the JLA in JLA/Titans: The Technis Imperative, which "featured absolutely everyone that was ever a Titan, as they joined together to save Cyborg from alien influence." Following that mini-series (written by Devin Grayson and Phil Jimenez, with art by Jimenez), the new The Titans series debuted in March 1999, written by Grayson, with art initially by Mark Buckingham and Wade Von Grawbadger. Grayson left after 20 issues, and the series continued until issue #50 (April 2003), and the team reappeared in Judd Winick's July–August 2003 3-issue mini-series Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day. This crossover, with the then-current (and Titans-like) Young Justice team, marked the dissolution of both the Young Justice and Titans teams, as well as the alleged death of Troia and the seemingly lasting death of Omen.
Then the graduation day comes in which Doc Ock warns Peter Parker that he should never become Spider-Man and saves his Aunt May from dying. Spider-Man quickly goes to the Triskelion and assembles all the Web-Warriors and New Warriors, and tells them about what happened in the morning. In the series' climax, Doctor Octopus along with his New Sinister Six captures Spider-Man and uses an antidote on him due to which he loses his spider powers but after working with Norman Osborn at Oscorp who now knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Spider- Man is able to gains back his spider powers and uses the antidote to cure Vulture, Rhino, and a Lizard-mutated Crossbones and defeating Scorpion and Kraven. Before Felony, Jeffrey Spry had been the singer with Detroit Proto-Punk/Hard rock legends, Ron Asheton (of Iggy & The Stooges) and Dennis "Machine Gun" Thompson (of The MC5) in a short lived super-group (based in Los Angeles) that was called "The New Order" (preceding the English new wave group of the same name). Jeff was in the band in 1975 and recorded an album with them that was released in 1977. After a period playing shows and making music business connections in the Los Angeles scene, Felony appeared in the horror b-movie Graduation Day (1981), playing their song "Gangsters of Rock."
