The NLYP holds an annual session every February. At the February session, delegates are assigned a provincial riding to represent, although not necessarily the one in which they reside. Days like this end at 1:45 p.m. Fleetwood Park students are obligated to undertake a curriculum that includes four years of English, three years of history, four years of science, four years of mathematics, two years of fine arts or applied skills, three years of Physical education and a year of enterprise studies. This exemption shall last until the State Board of Education either implements an alternative means for students with disabilities to demonstrate achievement in the standards measured by the CAHSEE or determines that an alternative means assessment to the CAHSEE is not feasible. Students with disabilities are still required to take the CAHSEE in grade ten for purposes of fulfilling the requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. If a student has severe disabilities, an alternative test, the CAPA, can be given instead. The Basic Skills Tests (BST) have been replaced by the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA-IIs) in a continued effort to develop a more rigorous K-12 education system. The MCA-IIs were created to help schools and districts measure student progress in mastering the state's new reading, writing and mathematics standards. Students' performance on these statewide assessments can be used as one of multiple criteria to determine grade promotion or retention. Headquarters of Maple Leaf Educational Systems in Jinshitan, Dalian, Liaoning, China Maple Leaf International School-Dalian is a part of the Maple Leaf Educational Systems located in Jinshitan National Resort in Jinzhou District, Dalian, China, providing the British Columbia (BC) high school program from grade ten to grade twelve. Maple Leaf accepts both domestic students and international students. Students are registered as British Columbia students and write the same Grade 10, 11 and 12 BC examinations as resident students in BC and graduate with the same BC Ministry of Education transcripts and graduation (Dogwood) diploma as resident students in BC. For students in the Special Series and Media Arts Program (more commonly known as the "Visual Arts program"), a choice can be made at the end of grade ten where students can either earn the Grand Masters Certificate or the Visual Arts Certificate. For students earning the Grand Masters Certificate, they must take four art credits in both grade eleven and twelve, meaning half of their schedule consists of art credits.
