In the computer versions, Sloth has to rescue the seven Goonies. In the Famicom version, you have to rescue six Goonie children and a woman. They are all unnamed in the instruction manual too. The children look to be much younger than the main character, but the woman seems to be the same age as the player.

It has two forms: Sphinx mode, which is the form it assumes when not being used, and a giant robot form for battling. The Supreme Catatonic is also what launches the Goonie Birds. The robot is armed with fish-themed weapons, such as a fish spear and fish blaster. Polly and Guido normally operate the robot in battle.

Facing foreclosure of their homes in the Goon Docks area of Astoria, Oregon, to an expanding country club, a group of children who call themselves "the Goonies" gather for a final weekend together. The Goonies include optimist lead Goonie Mikey Walsh, his older brother Brandon, the inventive Data, the talkative Mouth, and the overweight klutz Chunk. Rummaging through the Walshes' attic, they come across a 1632 doubloon and an old treasure map purporting to lead to the famous pirate "One-Eyed" Willy's hoard located somewhere nearby, whom Mikey considers to be the original "Goonie." The kids evade Brandon and make their way to an abandoned restaurant on the coast that coincides with the map; Brandon soon follows alongside Andy, a cheerleader with a crush on him; and Stef, Andy's friend.

The State of the Art is Failure is the second and final album by rapper Eprhyme with his group Saints of Everyday Failures. It was released on March 21, 2006 through Old Growth Records, with production by My Left Foot, Tha Goonie, Smoke M2D6, and Paul Schrag. Among the album's featured artists are members of Typical Cats, Oldominion, and Shape Shifters, including Awol One, 2Mex, and Sleep.

Throughout the journey, the player has to find three keys and one Goonie for each level. He does so by using bombs to blow open the doors concealing them. The player can advance to next level after finding the three keys, but in order to really "finish" the game, you must also free all the Goonies to access the game's final level (The Pirate Ship). Otherwise, the game will restart from the first level.

The player will find the six Goonies and eventually Annie in cells in this mode. Each rescued Goonie increases Mikey's health, and all six must be rescued before Annie can be freed. There are a number of weapons the player can use, and the player can equip both a primary and secondary weapon. Mikey can use three primary weapons: the yo-yo, a short- range weapon with limited power; the slingshot, a ranged, ammunition-based weapon; and the boomerang, a slower ranged weapon with unlimited use.

Pearlstein attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, where he studied comparative theology and led classes in Alternative Jewish studies on the side. During this time, he became involved in the Olympia music scene, working with producer Matt "Smoke" Smokovich of Oldominion. He also co-founded the hip hop group Saints of Everyday Failures alongside D-Scribe, Tha Goonie, MC Contradiction, and My Left Foot. They performed at the 2006 Lakefair festival alongside One Block Radius and released two albums together, True Meaning of Survival (2005) and The State of the Art is Failure (2006), the latter of which featured contributions by Awol One, 2Mex, Onry Ozzborn, and members of Typical Cats.
