Crossing the Ohio River (Fort Henry Bridge) at Wheeling The portion of I-70 in West Virginia crosses the Ohio River at Wheeling and runs through the Wheeling Tunnel. I-70 has only one through lane in each direction at the tunnel. A major interchange was planned but never completed on the east side of the Wheeling Tunnel. Upon merging with I-470, I-70 goes uphill towards Dallas Pike, West Virginia, This part of the road is called "Two Mile Hill", which is known locally for the many accidents at the bottom of the hill.

Castle Peak Road near San Hui, Tuen Mun. After leaving Kowloon, it goes uphill past Kau Wa Keng and Tai Ching Cheung along a four-lane expressway to Kwai Chung and downhill into Tsuen Wan. The stretch within Tsuen Wan is also commonly called "main road" (), especially among the older generations. Next, it goes along the south shore of the Western New Territories, via Yau Kom Tau, Ting Kau, Sham Tseng, Tsing Lung Tau, Tai Lam, Siu Lam and So Kwun Wat and then reaches the Tuen Mun New Town, which was also known as Castle Peak (after which the road was named).

It goes no farther along 213 than the split between it and its former alignment, now Main Street. It includes the properties in the commercial area along the north side of Main Street and Firehouse Road and the canal as it goes uphill, with some of its locks, and then reaches its western extreme at a thin wedge along the canal's earlier route along the north side of Main. After the river the expressway goes uphill, through the Menora Tunnel that is about long, then downhill into the Kinta Valley. Here, the Ipoh local- express system, constructed in 2008, begins, where all traffic bound for Ipoh or its vicinity is segregated. The village is articulated in three district urban nuclei that include: il Castello (fortress), il Peschio, La Valle, contained in long town-walls still well preserved here and there. The Palazzo Ducale (or Palazzo Gallio, Ducal Palace), built in Renaissance style by Tolomeo Gallio in the late 16th-early 17th centuries, is located on the main road of La Valle Suburb, constituting the true nucleus of the present village. On the same road are other important buildings (Palazzo Sipari, Palazzo Graziani) of the 19th century. A little bit forward, on the left hand, a short small road goes uphill to the Church of S. Teresa, in a baroque style, with a high portal.

Pavel Nilin was born in Irkutsk, into the family of a political exile. After the 1917 Revolution he worked as a criminal investigation officer in the town of Tulun, Irkutsk oblast, then in 1927 embarked upon the career of a journalist, moving from Siberia first to Povolzhje, then Ukraine and finally Moscow. He debuted as a published author in 1936 with a series of short stories published by the Novy Mir magazine. In 1939 a novel about the Donbass miners called A Man Goes Uphill (1936) was re- worked by Nilin into a script for the film which came out in 1940 under the title A Great Life (Bolshaya Zhyzn), enjoyed massive success and secured him the Stalin Prize in 1941.

The Schwalbenschwanz is a sequence of very fast sweepers located after the Stefan Bellof S. After a short straight, there is a very fast right hand sweeper that progressively goes uphill, and this leads into a blind left-hander that is a bit slower. The apex is completely blind, and the corner then changes gradient a bit; it goes up then down, which leads into a short straight that ends at the Kleines Karussell. Originally, this part had a bridge that went over a stream and was very bumpy; this bridge was taken out and replaced with a culvert (large industrial pipe) so that the road could be smoothed over. The Kleines Karussell is similar to its bigger brother, except that it is a 90 degree corner instead of 210 degrees, and is faster and slightly less banked.
