Every year, the orchestra goes on tour and performs for dignitaries including the Royal families and Malaysian ministers, parents and students of guest schools. None of the previous bands employed by Astor Michaels were able to achieve this same result because one member was infected, but not the lead singer. The New Watch recruits the band to sing to cause the worms to surface all around the country, thus allowing the New Watch to fight them on their own terms. The band goes on tour, travelling wherever they are needed, and Pearl finally comes up with the perfect name for the band: The Last Days.

Marsalis at Lincoln Center in 2004 In 1987, Marsalis helped start the Classical Jazz summer concert series at Lincoln Center in New York City. The success of the series led to Jazz at Lincoln Center becoming a department at Lincoln Center, then to becoming an independent entity in 1996 with organizations such as the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera. Marsalis became artistic director of the Center and the musical director of the band, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. The orchestra performs at its home venue, Rose Hall, goes on tour, visits schools, appears on radio and television, and produces albums through its label, Blue Engine Records.

On July 10, 2016 it was announced that Blaze Ya Dead Homie will be a new album at the GOTJ 2016 titled: "Dead Vulture EP". On December 30, 2016 it was announced that Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Lex "The Hex" Master will join Boondox as he goes on tour in March (The Murder Tour) to promote his new album The Murder. On January 1, 2017 Blaze Ya Dead Homie was invited to the Juggalo March On Washington.

As Lily had told Johnny that her ex- band member Damien (Drake Bell) raped her the night she left the band, and after Johnny has learned that his mother has breast cancer and cannot afford treatment and Damien having insulted Johnny's mother, the band decides that Damien will be the victim. They lock him in a van, pour gasoline on it and set it aflame, but midway through Johnny has a change of heart and lets Damien out. Damien tries to climb an electrical fence but dies after being electrocuted, thus fulfilling the sacrifice. The Relentless get a record deal and record an album, called American Satan and then goes on tour to promote it.

Kendall continues to lie to Jo, usually resulting in his pants bursting into flames, but then later Kendall confesses to Jo, due to assistance from Ms. Knight, and Lucy admits she is not really interested in Kendall again, as she is only doing it to start drama as a songwriting technique, which leads her and Jo to become friends. Sometime later in the fourth season, Lucy begins to see a different side of James and gains feelings for him, though she goes on tour before she can confess them.
