To start a game, shuffle the cards into a face-down draw pile and clear a space for the face-up discard pile to come. Deal five cards to each player, then decide who goes first, via rock paper scissors, flipping a coin, rolling a die, etc. Play proceeds clockwise (unless the deck or a card states otherwise) until someone wins. A player draws one card to begin their turn.
The team must solve the clues within 20 seconds to earn the remaining money. If they fail to do so, the other team has five seconds to solve for the remaining money. Each team is given two questions in this round. The leading team goes first in the third round, called “Hit Send.” One member of each team is designated the sender, while the other is the receiver.
The fact that this was a deliberate act was covered up at the time—for reasons unknown, but possibly connected with family insurance policies—and the story put about that Lazear had mistaken the mosquito for an uninfected one of a different species. The truth was discovered in 1947 by Philip S. Hench from Lazear's own notebook.Lawrence K. Altman, Who Goes First?: The Story of Self- experimentation in Medicine, pp.
The cross-bearer goes first, followed by members of the clergy carrying lighted candles. The priest walks immediately before the coffin, and the friends of the deceased and others walk behind it. An insane caller who wears a panda mask, he is utterly obsessed about pandas whenever he appears.
Before the show begins, lots are drawn to decide who goes first. That person then uses their buzzer on their podium to "stop" one of the lights in front of Rory's podium. Each of the 7 lights refers to a time between 30 seconds and 2 minutes, 30 seconds. The times are 30 seconds/45 seconds/1 minute/1 minute, 30 seconds/1 minute, 45 seconds/2 minutes/2 minutes, 30 seconds.
In the multiplayer version of the game, each player chooses a colour, so there are between two and four players. Each draws one tile from the bag, and the person who draws the highest number goes first. Playing Tantrix Each player then takes five more tiles from the bag, and places all six tiles face up in front of them. The first person plays one tile, usually with their colour on it.
This structure was influenced by the specification of XML patch. The syntax looks like this: [ { "op": "add", "path": "/myPath", "value": ["myValue"] } ] Every object has two mandatory members: "op" and "path". There is one operation per object, though there can be many objects/operations in every array. These operations are performed in order; the first operation in the array goes first, the second operation acts upon the result of the previous operation, and so on.
In turn, each player is asked questions about news events from the past week in rapid-fire format. Each player receives the same questions in the same order. The player who goes first establishes a time for the other player to beat (the round is timed to 1/100 of a second); the clock then runs back down to zero for the other player. The player who answers 7 questions correctly in the fastest time wins the game.
Luciana goes first, successfully lying still and winning her round. During her round, Olga begins panicking and agitates the spider, but Luciana saves her by exploiting a loophole in the game's rules and holding the spider herself. Olga technically wins her round and both women are paid large sums of money for their success. In the aftermath of the game, the head of the organization praises Luciana for her ingenuity and offers her the opportunity to become a recruiter.
Sullee goes first and delivers a light-hearted self-attack, even poking fun at how he "slept with Misfit for three nights but didn't seal the deal." John Brown mentions each of his catch phrases ("ghetto revival," "hallelujah hollaback," etc.), and makes fun of it. Persia's rap starts off well, but she forgets the end and gives up. Misfit's rap is not actually self-deprecating, and contains many of the same ideas as her other raps.
In combinatorial game theory, an impartial game is a game in which the allowable moves depend only on the position and not on which of the two players is currently moving, and where the payoffs are symmetric. In other words, the only difference between player 1 and player 2 is that player 1 goes first. The game is played until a terminal position is reached. A terminal position is one from which no moves are possible.
The player that goes first rolls the die and moves the grey token that many spaces around the outside spaces, clockwise or counterclockwise. If the grey token lands on a name, that name becomes the subject of the card. The player then picks a question card and reads it out loud, inserting the subject into the blank space. A card usually says something like "Imaginiff _____ was ... Which would they be [or do]?" and lists six numbered choices.
Players take the role of up and coming Broadway actors trying to become the most popular actor on Broadway. The object of Be a Broadway Star is to acquire the most "Fans," as determined by "Fan Cards" earned throughout the game through a variety of tasks. Players move around a game board similar to The Game of Life, with movement determined by two rolled dice. Players begin with $1,000 and roll the dice to determine who goes first.
Human scientific self-experimentation principally (though not necessarily) falls into the fields of medicine and psychology. Self- experimentation has a long and well-documented history in medicine which continues to the present day.Who Goes First?: The Story of Self- Experimentation in Medicine by Lawrence Altman For example, after failed attempts to infect piglets in 1984, Barry Marshall drank a petri dish of the Helicobacter pylori from a patient, and soon developed gastritis, achlorhydria, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and halitosis.
However, it would appear that during one's turn, one must perform at least one legal action, whether a move or a capture. "The player who goes first moves a piece into the empty space and the opponent jumps over and captures it." Because the only legal action to start the game is a move, the first player must do so. Because the only legal action the opponent may follow with is a capture, he or she must do so.
Then, the priest announces the beginning of the san-san-ku-do ceremony, or "three-three-nine-times," reflecting three oaths taken three times, represented by three cups, poured three times, and swallowed in three sips. This often includes three pourings from three cups of increasing sizes. The first, smallest cup, is first poured to the groom, who drinks from it before offering it to the bride. The second pouring goes first to the bride, then to the groom.
The trailing contestant goes first. Both contestants have 45 seconds and a set limitation of 20 words. Contestants score the points for each successful word and gains an additional 1,000 point bonus for successfully getting all five. If the contestant gives an illegal clue in this round, the word the illegal clue was given on is thrown out, and the contestant is disqualified from getting the 1,000 point bonus, but the round continues on as normal.
Meanwhile, another wild dog is trying to get into the closet and attack the children, but Carla stabs it with a kitchen knife and it runs off. While they wait for BMO to secure the contents, the two decide to tell each other stories. BMO goes first, describing how it, Finn and Jake recently traveled the seas.
Essentially, a two player game (White versus Black), Sovereign Chess gameplay can be summarized as beginning with the utilization of "the pie rule" (White goes first; Black either accepts White's move as their own or makes their own move). Players gain control of other colored armies by landing on squares related to the color of the army. Pawn promotion occurs within the middle 4 × 4 square. Sovereign Chess also offers a four- person variant called "Sovereign Chess Royale".
Fossil Power can also be conserved between turns in an attempt to expend a large amount on a strong attack. Two turns’ worth of Fossil Power is added to a combatant's pool if one of their vivosaurs runs out of Life Points (LP) and is defeated. LP also decides who is first to attack in a battle, in which the team with the lowest total LP goes first. The battle is over when all of an opponent's vivosaurs are defeated.
Eleanor escapes while Logan and Halloran are both captured. They awaken in collars rigged with laser cutters as John's voice tells them to confess their sins to survive and that they may choose who goes first. Halloran forces Logan to go first, but although he confesses, he is seemingly killed. Halloran then admits to allowing criminals to walk free for personal gain and his collar deactivates, before Logan reveals to him that he is still alive and also the killer.
When two HoL characters meet, they usually end up trying to kill each other, so combat is just one of those things a character could face every minute of their HoL life. As in most RPG systems, opposing forces roll for initiative (a d6 roll + Feets Stat) to see who goes first. There are two kinds of attacks in HoL, Melee (with hand-to- hand weapons) and Ranged (with projectile weapons). Attackers attack, and Defenders either Dodge or Parry the attack.
The game begins with a horseshoe toss to decide who goes first. The winner of the toss throws both horseshoes—one at a time—at the opposite stake, and then the second player throws both of their horseshoes—again, one at a time—at their end. After scoring, the next round is done in reverse order, or by throwing back at the original stake. Play continues until one player has at least 15 points at the end of a round.
As the story goes, First Man, First Woman, Salt Woman were sitting in a hogan (a Navajo hut made of wood and dirt) when Black God entered with the constellation of Pleiades affixed to his ankle. “When several of the Holy People commented on the presence of this constellation, Black God stamped his foot vigorously, bringing the constellation to his knee. A second stamp… brought the stars to his hip.” The Holy People were impressed by Black God's display and nodded approvingly.
Caroline resuscitates her through mouth to mouth and accompanies her on the ride to the hospital. Bruce, still alive, is found by a team of search and rescue people and is carried off in critical condition. David and a group from the fire department go to the ski ramp to rescue Jason and Mark, telling them to fall into the safety trampoline. Jason goes first and is safe, but the metal rope drags across the pulley and causes an electrical shock, electrocuting Mark.
Dominguez goes first, and stirs up a parade with his guitar playing, inspiring those who hear it to ¡Muévete! Villanazul is second, and during his hour he interrupts a politician on a soapbox to perform a poem he has written. Martinez, third in line, returns to the balcony where he first saw the girl next door. While she had previously not noticed him (because she did not have her glasses on), this time the bright white suit attracts her attention and Martinez gets her name: Celia Obregon.
The Titicus River which feeds the east end of the reservoir begins more than five miles away in Ridgefield, CT. This river drains much of northern Ridgefield and Ridgebury, CT. Water from the reservoir goes first along the Titicus to the Muscoot Reservoir, then into New Croton Reservoir and finally along the 24-mile (38.6-km) New Croton Aqueduct to the Jerome Park Reservoir in the Bronx, where it is part of the city's daily draw. It has been supplying the city since 1893.
In the Triple Toss-Up round, three consecutive Toss-Up puzzles are played, each having the same category and a common theme. Solving any of these awards $2,000 cash, while solving the third also earns the right to start the fourth round. Contestants may only ring in once for each toss-up puzzle, and no cash is awarded if all three contestants fail to solve the puzzle, or if the last letter is revealed. In this case, the contestant closest to the host goes first.
Steel tapes are easily bent and damaged, so are not used to measure everyday competitions. For major competitions, each competitor gets three tries. The top competitors (usually 8 or 9 depending on that competition's rules or the number of lanes on the track) gets three more tries. At that level of competition, the order of competitors for those final three attempts are set—so the competitor in first place at the end of the third round is last, while the last competitor to qualify goes first.
The game is played by two players or by two teams (a pair of doubles partners most commonly, but also larger teams). Determining who goes first can be done by any means ( usually, but also coin toss, tournament stipulations about player order, etc.). Each player or team is assigned one of the two cue balls; this is the only cue ball they may hit with the cue stick. The first player or team always uses the (plain) white cue ball, the opponent the other ball.
John and Aeryn row out a short distance from Moya in a small boat, and each tells the other they have something to say. Aeryn goes first, telling John the embryo has been released from stasis and that the baby is indeed his. An ecstatic John then asks her to marry him, slips his mother's wedding ring on her finger, and she says yes. As they kiss passionately, a flying vessel suddenly appears, targets them and hits them with a ray that shatters them apart.
Free Actions take such little time that can be performed immediately and do not use up time, such as dropping an item, standing up, or calling to an ally. The character in a party with the highest Reflexes stat acts first, or they can hold the action and wait to see what someone else is doing. There are no Initiative checks unless the Referee decides to randomly see who goes first. In such a case, the Reflexes Stat can be added to the 3d6 die roll.
Before playing, players choose rules on a "Make your own Rules" sheet, included with the game. Many of the rules are check-off options which affect game play elements such as which player goes first, or whether an exact roll is required to land on the "Finish" tile. Players can also define what happens when someone lands on "Custom Tile" or draws a "Custom Card." When a player lands on a "Custom Tile" during play, they must perform the action specified on the "Custom Tile" section of the "Make your own Rules" sheet.
The one, Yakov, has the gift of technical prowess. The other, Yasha, has natural talent. Yakov goes first and the group believes he's won due to the skill he displays but when Yasha sings, he sings beautifully with the “collective voice of the Russian identity,” leading everyone to cry with no discussion of his skill afterward. Yakov stammers that he won and they are about to drink, but the narrator is disturbed by this since he found the scene so beautiful amongst the horrible surroundings, and he goes outside to sleep while they drink.
Because we assumed the first quantifier would be existential, P1 goes first, selecting the left node if x1 is true and the right node if x1 is false. Each player must then take forced turns, and then P2 chooses a value for x2. These alternating assignments continue down the left side. After both players pass through all the diamonds, it is again P1 's turn, because we assumed that the last quantifier is existential. P1 has no choice but to follow the path to the right side of the graph.
He reminds them that the challenge of the third day will be a spiritual not a physical test. The Examiner brings them to the Dome of Imaginary Revelations where each champion is asked to speak about how they see Simlane's future should they succeed and father the next generation. As each champion speaks, images of the world they would build appear in the dome. Irmgaal goes first and promises to bring space travel to Simlane with which they will use to spread Simlane's civilising influence across the Galaxy.
For example, if your team has 20 points, and your teammate redirects the disc into the kan for a 3-point Bucket, your score is reduced to 17 points. In the event of a tie (both teams have 21 points at the end of a round), additional rounds are played until one team has more points than the other at the end of a round. A coin toss or similar procedure is used to determine which team goes first. The game is broken up into turns, with an equal number of turns for each team.
Against this it is argued by those supporting self- experiment that medically trained persons are in a better position to understand and record symptoms, and self-experiment is usually at the very early stage of a program before volunteers have been recruited. A wish to commit suicide is sometimes offered as a reason for self-experimentation. However, Lawrence K. Altman, author of Who Goes First?: The Story of Self- experimentation in Medicine, while acknowledging that this may sometimes occur, after extensive research could find only one verified case of attempted suicide by self-experimentation.
At the start of each turn, both sides can choose to attack, use an item, switch the Pokémon for another in their party, or attempt to flee from battle (against a wild Pokémon). If both sides attack, the one who goes first is determined by Speed, although some moves, items, and effects can override this. If either side chooses any other option, that action is performed before the attacks. Each Pokémon uses moves to reduce their opponent's HP to zero, at which point the Pokémon and is unable to battle.
They find Don Juan at Mt. Armenia and decide to settle there, on the beautiful mountain. They lived happily forgetting trouble from the past. They find a well and decide to explore the inside, arguing about who goes first. They settle for the idea that Pedro, the eldest, be the first to descend by means of a cord lowered by the two brothers who remain above; but he had scarcely gone a third of the way when he feels afraid and gives the sign for his two brothers to pull him out of the well.
In the Teen Titans Go! episode, "Matched", Cyborg creates a computer program that can tell a person who their romantic match is and when Starfire goes first, her perfect match turns out to be Aquaman. Starfire at first doesn't warm up to the idea of being with Aquaman, but then begins to fall for Aquaman after reading a magazine article about him and stares at a poster of him. Robin though tries to impress her by swimming 200 laps in the pool and then flexing his muscles to Starfire while in his bathing suit.
If both contestants are tied prior to the fifth and final game, then the contestant who won the last game goes first. The contestant with the most points at the end of play wins the game and advances to the $25,000 bonus round the losing contestant would receive a fake consolation prize which technically they don't win anything but they were allowed to stay at the bar. When both contestants are tied at the end of the game, the contestant who wins more games will advance to the bonus round.
Drizzt goes first to Blingdenstone, the Underdark city of the deep gnomes, and stays for several days. Catti-brie also encounters a group of deep gnomes a day later and they show her a shortcut to Menzoberranzan. Then in Menzoberranzan, Drizzt is able to disguise himself for a little while as a slave driver on the Isle of Rothé, but is later found out. Catti-brie is near Drizzt at this point, and she witnesses his capture before being taken by Jarlaxle and held prisoner by the mercenary group Bregan D'arthe.
Dr. Lee allows Devon to play for this face-off, showing his faith in Devon's improved character and in thanks for all the hard work he has done in getting the band ready for the Classic. Morris Brown goes first and A&T; responds. Morris Brown's second cadence includes their snares moving forward and playing on the A&T; drums (the same move that incited the fight at A&T;'s homecoming game), then throwing down their sticks. The A&T; line manages to hold their composure in the face of the insult.
Snatch In each weight division, lifters compete in both the snatch and clean and jerk. Prizes are usually given for the heaviest weights lifted in each and in the overall—the maximum lifts of both combined. The order of the competition is up to the lifters—the competitor who chooses to attempt the lowest weight goes first. If they are unsuccessful at that weight, they have the option of reattempting at that weight or trying a heavier weight after any other competitors have made attempts at the previous weight or any other intermediate weights.
After all the tiles are placed in the pouch, each player draws a single tile. The player with the highest number goes first. Each player places their drawn tile on their rack, and draws six more, for a total of seven. The first move by the first player must use two of the four initial numbers on the board (1, 2, 3, and 4) to form a simple mathematical equation (such as 1 + 2 = 3, so that the player places a tile numbered "3" to the right of the "1" and "2" squares).
Dr. Lee asks Michael about his latest experience with the "green reality". At a police carnival at an amusement park, Emma (Daniela Bobadilla), Rex's girlfriend, asks if she and Rex can bungee jump. As they are walking to the ride, Michael bumps into someone who claims that it was his fault. At the ride, Michael goes first, but the person in charge of the ride seems concerned about something; Michael passes out and wakes up in the "red reality" (where Hannah is alive, but Rex is dead), as if the "green reality" were a dream.
When a tie must be broken between two players, a "Super Slide-Off" is played. A question is asked on the buzzer; a correct answer allows that player to decide who goes first, but a miss gives the choice to the opponent. Each player fires one slider across the table, and the one who lands closest to the centre wins the tiebreaker. Ties between three or more players are broken with a "Slide-Off," in which each fires one counter as described above, in the order that they played in the Smash Out round.
Meeting the Parents: Both bachelorettes get a chance to meet Chris' parents at the villa they are staying at in Mexico. Mikaela goes first, and is well-received by both parents, with Chris' mother noting that Mikaela's communication skills would help Chris open up and be more comfortable expressing his feelings. Chris' parents express more hesitance upon meeting Lyndsey, due to the large age gap and the fact that Chris may move across the country to be with her. However, after getting a chance to talk to her, they agree that they would still be happy if she is the one Chris chooses.
Spouses keep their original surnames. Following Spanish naming customs, a person's name consists of a given name (simple or composite) followed by two family names (surnames), the father's and the mother's. Any children whom a couple have together, take both first-surnames, so if "José Gómez Hevia" and "María Reyes García" had a child named "Andrés", the resulting name would be "Andrés Gómez Reyes". In Spain, a 1995 reform in the law allows the parents to choose whether the father's or the mother's surname goes first, although this order must be the same for all their children.
Until August 11, 2014, the challenger could choose to go first. Since September 1, 2014, the maestro goes first. In round one, the competitors take turns singing a song from one of five categories: one worth 10 points with two missing words, one worth 20 points with three missing words, one worth 30 points with four or five missing words, one worth 40 points with six or seven missing words, and one worth 50 points with eight or nine missing words. On special occasions (feast days, start of the school year, etc.), the proposed categories and songs are often related to the occasion.
Who Goes First? (first played on Series 3, Episode 98): A question with four options is shown, but to decide who gets to the answer the question first, another question is asked to the contestants, such as "How many pets have you owned?", and the contestant who has the highest to that answer gets to go first, and if they get the question right, they get the point, but if they get it wrong, the next person down gets the same question with 3 choices left and it carries on going down until someone gets it right.
The RSCU or Regional Street Crime Unit was formed in May 2001 and was active for duties (16 Operators were selected among 45 that were on intensive training.) The Unit was then renamed as ROSU and had around 120 Operators trained for: entry teams, riots, surveillance, special tactics driving, VIP protection, VIP buildings, and government buildings. This Unit is known as a unit that goes first where high risk is the case. The Unit successfully took place in operations along Kosovo's border with Serbia when the crossing was blocked and barricaded by local Serbian civilians and MUP members.
Dan freely admits that if the rules would allow it, even if he finished above the yellow line he would sacrifice his spot and go home, which upsets Jillian. At the last chance workout Arthur is able to rejoin the others. At the weigh- in it is revealed that Moses (Gray team) has now lost 64 pounds in three weeks, while Q (called out earlier by the other Unknowns) lost 19 pounds that week. (Rulon's weight loss was not shown in this episode; he lost an additional 10 pounds.) Aqua team goes first and loses 13 pounds before the advantage.
Stark was a friend of Sir John Pringle, and Benjamin Franklin,Who goes first?: the story of self-experimentation in medicine By Lawrence K. Altman and his experimenting was triggered by Ben Franklin's description of how, as a printer, he had survived for 2 weeks on a simple diet of bread and water. Encouraged and advised by John Pringle, Stark began his study of scurvy in London, June 1769, with a series of dietary experiments on himself. He devised a series of 24 dietary experiments in an effort to prove that a "pleasant and varied diet was as healthful as simpler strict diets".
Both teams then play the challenge, with each team member having one turn. Teams alternate turns, starting with the team whose target number is lower; if they are the same, the team with the lower prize pot goes first. If any one player succeeds, the team completes the challenge and their target number is multiplied by £1,000 and added to their pot. (In the previous example, if the team chose 9 as their target and completed the challenge, their pot would become £9,874.) The team with the higher prize pot after this round advances to the final, while their opponents leave with nothing.
The film started when an Australian journalist interviewed a woman named Juliana, who as a young girl witnessed Roger East's capture and execution by the Indonesian invasion force. The point of view goes first on Roger East's investigation upon the imminent Indonesian invasion of East Timor. Also, he investigates the fate of the Balibo Five, who was in Balibo covering the events in the area. Then the point of view changes to the Balibo Five's actions in the town, from their departure in Australia, to their arrival in East Timor and was inserted in a FRETILIN unit near the border.
If a Pendulum Monster is destroyed or tributed while on the field, they do not go to the graveyard and instead go face-up into the Extra Deck, where the player can re-Pendulum Summon them at their next opportunity. If Pendulum Monsters are used as XYZ Material for an XYZ monster and they are removed via an XYZ Monster's effect, they go into the graveyard. As for competitive rules, the player that goes first can no longer draw on their first Draw Phase. Both player can now control a Field Spell simultaneously and apply both Field Spell rules to the game.
Players bid for turn order. The player who wins the highest position goes first and will take their full turn before the next player. Each turn, a player selects a tile that has meeples on it, and will take all the meeples on that tile then place them, one at a time, on an adjacent tile that has at least one other meeple on it, is not diagonal, and that has not had a meeple placed on it this turn. The player will take all the meeples of the same color currently on the last tile they placed a meeple on.
Instead of rolling for Initiative as in most other RPGs, the players make a "speed" roll on the bones — the exact number and type being rolled determined by each character's stats — and then draw a number of cards from a community playing card deck based on the results of that roll. The Marshal then calls out card values, starting from Aces and going all the way down to Deuces. The card's suit (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, which is reverse alphabetical order and also the valuation in bridge) indicates who goes first if the same value of card is drawn.
At the start of the game the player who goes first draws three cards and the player going second draws five cards. If there are three players, the first one has 3 in their starting hand, the second one has 4, and the third one has 5 cards. The player whose turn it is then plays the cards from their hand in front of them, each card possibly giving a boost in trade, attack, authority, and/or granting a special ability. At the end of every turn, the player moves all played ship cards to the discard pile, then draws five cards and the next player starts their turn.
Players control an army of models led by a hero model acting as a commander. At the beginning of each turn, players will roll a d10 to determine which goes first, the winner of the die roll gets to activate a number of models that are the same species, have the same equipment, and are within three inches. While activated the controlling player does all the available actions with those models, when done his opponent may do the same with a group of their models. After both players have activated all of their models the turn is over and each player will roll for initiative once again.
With Saltus gloating in the knowledge of his inevitably successful courtship, Chaney concedes the pursuit to him. With the success of the initial mission, the three are authorized to travel further into the future. They plan to travel to dates of their own choosing within the coming two decades, with each trip to be separated by approximately a year in order to provide broader coverage. Moresby goes first and travels to July 4, 1999 ("It has significance, after all!" he says), only to emerge in the middle of a racial civil war in which Chicago had recently been attacked with a nuclear bomb launched from China on behalf of black guerrillas.
"It's De-Lovely" is one of Cole Porter's hit songs, originally appearing in his 1936 musical, Red Hot and Blue. It was introduced by Ethel Merman and Bob Hope. The song was later used in the musical Anything Goes, first appearing in the 1956 film version (when it was sung by Donald O'Connor and Mitzi Gaynor); in the 1962 revival where it was sung by Hal Linden and Barbara Lang, and in the 2004 biographical film De-Lovely, where it was performed by Robbie Williams. The hit records in late 1936 and early 1937 included versions by Leo Reisman, Eddy Duchin, Shep Fields, and Will Osborne.

Sou leaves Chea to die and returns to An saying that Chea has fallen to his death and wishes Sou would marry An. Chea remembers the lessons he learned from his mentor and tricks a bear into bringing him down the tree.
The top five answers are placed on the board in a random order, and the panel again gives their opinion on what would be the most popular answer. If the score going into this question is tied, each contestant is allowed to select one answer, with the winner of the pre-show coin toss deciding who makes the first selection. If one contestant has the lead, that contestant goes first and is given a selection; her opponent is then allowed one provided the first contestant did not pick the most popular answer. If the most popular answer has not yet been revealed, the first contestant is given one more selection.
The Robot Devil tells them that the only way to win back Bender's soul is to beat him in a fiddle-playing contest, as required under the "Fairness in Hell Act of 2275". The Robot Devil goes first, playing Antonio Bazzini's "La Ronde des Lutins". Leela responds, having experience in playing the drums, but after a few notes it is clear Leela's fiddle-playing is pathetic, so she assaults the Robot Devil with the fiddle instead. As Fry, Leela, and Bender flee the Robot Devil's clutches, Bender steals the wings off a flying torture robot, attaches them to his back, and airlifts Fry and Leela to safety.
He goes first to Nob, where he is fed by the priest Ahimelech and given Goliath's sword, and then to Gath, the Philistine city of Goliath, intending to seek refuge with King Achish there. Achish's servants or officials question his loyalty, and David sees that he is in danger there. He goes next to the cave of Adullam, where his family join him. From there he goes to seek refuge with the king of Moab, but the prophet Gad advises him to leave and he goes to the Forest of Hereth, and then to Keilah, where he is involved in a further battle with the Philistines.
Born into the Crow tribe, he was also known as the First One, Goes First, the One Ahead, Comes Leading, Man With Fur Belt, and Walks Among the Stars. At age 16, he married Pretty Shield. On June 21, at the mouth of Rosebud Creek, six Crow scouts were detached from the 7th Infantry to go with Custer's Seventh Cavalry following the trail of a large Indian encampment up the Rosebud Creek valley.
The SPFL launched an investigation after two different methods of penalty shootout were used in the second round matches that required the tiebreaker. Montrose's 6–5 win over Ayr United used the traditional ABAB method where one team follows the other whereas The New Saints' 6–5 win over Livingston used the trial ABBA method where one team goes first before the other takes two consecutively and then the first team takes their second. SPFL rules state that the ABAB method should be used. The mix up is suspected to have come after confusion between the Irish referee and Welsh linesmen in The New Saints-Livingston match over which method was to be used.
In Spain, a 1995 reform in the law allows the parents to choose whether the father's or the mother's surname goes first, although this order must be the same for all their children. For instance, the name of the son of the couple in the example above could be either "Andrés Gómez Reyes" or "Andrés Reyes Gómez".Art. 55 Ley de Registro Civil – Civil Register Law (article in Spanish) Sometimes, for single mothers or when the father would or could not recognize the child, the mother's surname has been used twice: for example, "Ana Reyes Reyes". In Spain, however, children with just one parent receive both surnames of that parent, although the order may also be changed.
The contestants faced off against each other in a rapid-fire style series of questions. There were four rounds of questioning: General Knowledge, Numbers and Logic, Words and Letters, and "Mixed" (questions from all of the previous categories). Exclusively for the final match, a fifth "Contemporary Knowledge" round was added as round #3, between "Numbers and Logic" and "Words and Letters." In each round, the players were given one minute on their clocks, and the first contestant (determined by coin toss for the first round where the loser goes first, alternates for each subsequent round) was asked a question by the off-camera "Questioner," and his or her clock started counting down.

It's very important to be humble before the songs so that you don't do things just because you can – or just to show off when it comes to singing, solos or whatever." Despite being a composer and lyricist in her former band After Forever and her other band at the time, ReVamp, Jansen was not a part of the songwriting process for her first Nightwish album: "I don't feel the necessity of me being an active songwriting member, because the music is so good. It's about the songs and the music that goes first and not about my ego wanting to join like that. But if I can participate or add something with my creative input, of course I would love that.
Events still take place at Upton-upon-Severn in Worcestershire, Marsh Gibbon in Buckinghamshire, Great Wishford in Wiltshire (when villagers gather wood in Grovely Wood), Aston-on-Clun in Shropshire and Membury in Devon. The day is generally marked by re-enactment activities at Moseley Old Hall, West Midlands, one of the houses where Charles II hid in 1651. At Fownhope in Herefordshire the Heart of Oak Society organise an annual event, where members of the society gather at the local pub and march through the village holding flower and oak leaf decorated sticks, whilst following the society banner and a brass band. The march goes first to the church for a service, and then to houses who host refreshments.
A full set of Go stones (goishi) usually contains 181 black stones and 180 white ones; a 19×19 grid has 361 points, so there are enough stones to cover the board, and Black gets the extra odd stone because that player goes first. However it may happen, especially in beginners' games, that many back-and-forth captures empty the bowls before the end of the game: in that case an "exchange of prisoners" allows the game to continue. Traditional Japanese stones are double-convex, and made of clamshell (white) and slate (black). The classic slate is nachiguro stone mined in Wakayama Prefecture and the clamshell from the Hamaguri clam; however, due to a scarcity in the Japanese supply of this clam, the stones are most often made of shells harvested from Mexico.

An early review on RPGnet regards Munchkin as not a very serious game; the rules make this clear with phrases like "Decide who goes first by rolling the dice and arguing about the results and the meaning of this sentence and whether the fact that a word seems to be missing any effect," and "Any disputes in the rules should be settled by loud arguments with the owner of the game having the last word." There are many cards which interact with or are affected by a single other card, despite the rarity of the two cards entering play together (such as the interaction between Fowl Fiend and Chicken on Your Head or Sword of Slaying Everything Except Squid and Squidzilla). On BoardGameGeek the average user rating is 6/10. Tom Vasel of The Dice Tower was critical of the game Munchkin feeling it was overpriced, had limited re- playability, and a poor and occasionally tedious gaming experience.
After determining which player goes first by coin flip or other means, players start by shuffling their decks and drawing an initial hand, with many CCG's allowing for a player to take a mulligan on this if they do not believe their starting hand is good. Players then take turns, and while the turn format is wildly different depending on the CCG, typically is broken into distinct phases of resetting all of their resources so they may be used that turn, drawing a card, playing any number of cards by drawing from available resources, making one or more attacks on the opponent, and then a cleanup step including discarding cards to reach a maximum hand size, if necessary. Many CCGs have rules where opposing players can react to the current player's turn; an example is casting a counter-spell to an opponent's spell to cancel it such as in Magic: The Gathering. Games with such reaction systems typically define rules to determine priority of reactions as to avoid potential conflicts between card interpretations.
