Delaware v. City of Westminster ([2001] UKHL 55) is an English court ruling on nuisance, addressing the question of liability for repairing damage caused by tree roots. The court upheld a ruling of the Court of Appeal, stating that if a defendant knew about a continuing nuisance (in this case, cracking caused by tree roots), and had been given notice and opportunity to deal with it but failed to do so, then a claimant was entitled to receive costs for removing the nuisance themselves. After Ferré's death on 10 October 2006, a lively dispute pitted Henry de Lesquen, Ferré's successor as head of the station, against a group of four broadcasting patrons including Claude Reichman, who demanded that de Lesquen resign. Claude Reichman was banned from Radio Courtoisie after a broadcast on 14 November 2006, in which he attacked de Lesquen in terms that de Lesquen judged to be defamatory. He was replaced by Marie Le Méné and Benoîte Taffin. Jean-Gilles Malliarakis in turn announced he would leave the station during his broadcast of 23 February 2007, having been given notice the same morning.

The Supreme Court has held that the requirement of a public trial is not absolute, and that both the government and the defendant can in some cases request a closed trial. In 1953, the Newcastle Aero Club became the Royal Newcastle Aero Club, with permission granted by Queen Elizabeth II. During the 1950s the Club was given notice by the Department of Civil Aviation to relocate from the field at Broadmeadow because the area had become built-up and high television antennae on the perimeter of the field interfered with landing approaches. Due to problems encountered during flight 15P on June 21, 2004, Scaled Composites did not immediately set a date for their competitive flights, suspecting that another test flight might be required. By July 7, 2004 Burt Rutan reported that the faults had been resolved and the next flights would be competitive. On July 27, 2004, the X PRIZE Foundation announced that Scaled Composites had given notice that they would make their first competitive flight on September 29, 2004.

There were several separate camps in the area identified by Bamett and Edgar Thomas Wood, the Melbourne City Council health inspector from 1910 to 1949. In 1999 Rhema applied for a permanent licence, but was unsuccessful, with the licence being given to 2TLP The Listening Place, an Indigenous station in nearby Taree. In 2000 the Australian Broadcasting Authority, now the Australian Communications and Media Authority, issued Rhema FM a temporary full-time licence to broadcast on 106.5 FM, a frequency suggested by Rhema FM. Rhema FM hopes to gain a permanent full-time licence, and was given notice that such a licence may become available in 2003.

During a UWA World Trios Championship match against Los Villanos El Texano threw in the towel to save his partner El Signo any more punishment. After the match and title loss his partners turned on El Texano and attacked him after the match. The Labour Act of 2004 allows for a few different ways in which employees can be terminated. The first method is in the event of the death of an employee. The structure would have had a curved granite facade and would have cost either $850,000 or $1.2 million. By October 1944, Mutual Life agreed to clear the land, and the New York State Banking Department approved Manufacturers Trust's proposed relocation that December. Work was delayed due to restrictions on steel and other materials during World War II. Additionally, after the Ziegler Building's tenants were given notice that their leases would be canceled upon the end of January 1946, they successfully filed a lawsuit to enjoin their eviction.

In January 1878, Edward Howard, the MP for East Cumberland who had given notice of a motion calling for a Select Committee looking at the problems of water supply to Lancashire and Yorkshire (which would have prevented progress of the Thirlmere Bill until the Select Committee had reported), announced that he would delay introducing the motion until the Thirlmere Bill had been defeated at second reading. Normally, private Bills were not opposed at Second Reading; their success or failure was determined by the Committee stage which followed. SSG drew its personnel from officers (lower ranks might have undergone officer training to be able to serve in the unit) of all three branches of the military, however mainly from Life Regiment Hussars (K 3) (Airborne & Reconnaissance Infantry), Kustjägarna (Marine Rangers), Army Ranger Battalion and each applicant must have passed a two- week-long grueling selection process. Before selection took place, the applicants were invited to attend a pre-selection weekend, where they would have been tested and given notice of the likelihood of failure or success and how to improve themselves. Selection might only have been attempted once unless there were certain mitigating circumstances that caused the applicant to fail. Because of its level of secrecy, the time it took to train a recruit had not been made public by the SSG but according to the armed forces´ website, basic operator training took more than one year.

The Sunni Arab coalitions, the Iraqi Accord Front and the Iraqi National Dialogue Front were reported to be concerned that the departure of the United States' Army would allow the Shi'ite majority to dominate them. They called for the end of the prosecution of Baath party members, the abolition of the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal and that the agreement be put to a referendum the following year. In the end the Maliki government agreed to the referendum and the two groups dropped their other demands. On 19 September 2013, the first Saab-branded vehicle produced by NEVS rolled off of the assembly line. The first pre-production model was mostly aesthetically identical to the previous Saab 9-3 and mainly used to test new components and assembly line equipment. NEVS announced a facelift of the exterior to be shown on a finalised production model. On 29 November 2013 NEVS announced that full-scale production would commence on 2 December 2013, having replaced the 20 percent of parts originally sourced from former Saab owner General Motors. Production of the gasoline version of the Saab 9-3 resumed in December 2013, and on 10 December 2013 NEVS started selling their Saab 9-3 Aero to Swedish customers directly from their homepage, but on 20 May 2014 NEVS announced that production had been stopped, 100 consultants had had to be laid off and 53 blue-collar and 19 white-collar workers had been given notice that their contracts would not be prolonged after the summer.

Claiming that that testimony supported their view that their mother was not an espionage agent (twice Greenglass under oath before the Grand Jury asserted he had never spoken with his sister about any of his espionage activities with Julius Rosenberg or Ruth Greenglass) the brothers Meeropol wrote an op-ed in The New York Times demanding that the US government exonerate their mother.

Faced with the declining strength of Chartism after the defeats of 1842, O'Connor turned to the idea of settling working people on the land. While in prison, he had advocated just such a scheme in the Northern Star under the heading "Letters to the Irish Landlords". In 1835, he had given notice of his intention to introduce a bill to modify the rights of Irish tenants moved in Parliament. He later said his bill would have sought > to compel landlords to make leases of their land in perpetuity — that is, to > give to the tenant a lease for ever, at a corn rent; to take away the power > of distraining for rent; and in all cases where land was held upon lease and > was too dear, that the tenant in such cases should have the power of > empaneling a jury to assess the real value in the same manner as the crown > has the power of making an individual sell property required for what is > called public works or conveniences according to the evaluation of a > jury.

The PWD had handled the first phase demolition of the CTE from Norfolk Road to Bukit Timah Road. On 16 January 1986, even used-car dealers at the Kampong Java fringe carpark have been given notice to vacate the premises by Feb 28. A Land Office spokesman said the notice was served until October because the land is required for the extension of the CTE to Lower Delta Road and the Ayer Rajah Expressway. The first half of the Central Expressway from Yio Chu Kang Road to Thomson Road, and cutting through the most populous areas, work will start on September 1986 and on 14 January 1987, the section of the Central Expressway will be officially opened. The stretch between Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and Ang Ko Kio Avenue 5 will be declared open. On 11 June 1988, travelling north from Cavenagh Road towards the Central Expressway can use the newly completed Kampong Java flyover tomorrow from 3 pm. They can get to Moulmein Road via the slip road near the Moulmein Flyover.

In 1846 a new company, the Monmouthshire Railway, obtained Parliamentary authority to purchase the entire works of the Monmouthshire Canal system, including all the railways; > The First General Meeting of the Monmouthshire Railway Company was held [on > 11 September 1846]... After congratulating the proprietors on obtaining the > Act of Parliament, which received the Royal Assent on 13 August last, [the > Managing Committee report] referred to the present state and future > prospects of the Company. One of the objects which they had started was the > purchase of Monmouthshire Canal Company, which beside its own course, had a > connexion with some 50 or 60 miles of tramway travelling throughout its > district. This canal had been purchased by the committee at £200 a share... > Among the conditions of purchase it was left to the Canal Company to take > shares in the railway in lieu of the purchase money... The Canal Company had > not yet given notice of the number of shares that it might be their > intention to take... In fact the purchase had been authorised, not completed, and the Monmouthshire Railway failed to raise the cash it needed for the purchase, and the powers lapsed.

The General Quarter Sessions, for the county of Durham, were held in the Court House, on the Monday in each week, appointed by statute, to inquire into "all manner of felonies, poisonings, sorceries, trespasses, &c.;" Sessions weeks were the first week after Epiphany, the first week after the close of Easter, the first whole week after St. Thomas a Becket, and the first whole week after 11 October. By order of Court, all Justices' Clerks were to transmit their informations, convictions, depositions, recognizances, &c.; to the office of the Clerk of the Peace on or before the Wednesday preceding each Session; and all appeals and traverses (except such as came within the provisions of the statute 60 Geo 3 c 4) had to be entered with the Deputy Clerk of the Peace before twelve o'clock on the first day of the Sessions. And no traverse, (except as aforesaid) could be tried unless the defendant had made application to the Deputy Clerk of the Peace for a venire, and shall also have given notice of trial to the prosecutor, on or before Saturday se’nnight preceding the Sessions.

2ID soldiers patrolling in Baghdad. From November 2003 to November 2004, the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team deployed from Fort Lewis, Washington in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In the sands of Iraq the 3rd Brigade Stryker Brigade Combat Team proved the value of the Stryker brigade concept in combat and logistics operations. During the late spring of 2004, many of the soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Division's 2d Brigade Combat Team were given notice that they were about to be ordered to further deployment, with duty in Iraq. Units involved in this call-up included: 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Air Assault); 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (Air Assault); 2d Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment; 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment (Mechanized); 44th Engineer Battalion; 2nd Forward Support Battalion; Company A, 102nd Military Intelligence Battalion; Company B, 122d Signal Battalion, elements of the 2d Battalion, 72nd Armor Regiment, a team from the 509th Personnel Services Battalion, and B Battery, 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment (Deployed as a combination of mechanized infantry and light infantry with two platoons of Bradley Fighting Vehicles and 1 platoon of armored HMMWVs).

Maria Malibran as Romeo-Bologna, 1832 With rehearsals for Pirata underway in late December, Bellini was given notice by the La Fenice impresario, Alessandro Lanari, that it was doubtful whether Pacini would be present in time to stage an opera and that a contract was to be prepared with the proviso that it would only become effective on 14 January. Accepting the offer 5 January, Bellini stated that he would set Romani's libretto for Giulietta Capellio, that he required 45 days between receipt of the libretto and the first performance, and that he would accept 325 napoleoni d'oro (about 8,000 lire).Bellini to Lanari, 5 January 1830, in Weinstock 1971, p. 83: Weinstock notes that Romani had used "Capellio" as Juliet's last name in the libretto. The tentative contract deadline was extended until 20 January, but by that date Romani was in Venice, having already re-worked much of his earlier libretto which he had written for Nicola Vaccai's 1825 opera, Giulietta e Romeo, the source for which was the play of the same name by Luigi Scevola which had been written in 1818.
