Early Alchemy is a compilation album produced by Nick Webb of Acoustic Alchemy and the sixth album overall, released on March 16, 1992. The album was put together from old recordings and outtakes by Webb and Simon James, to give insight into the progression of the band's music. The archaeological excavations at Wadi al-Hasa have contributed to a rethinking in archaeology of use of the use of tools made from bone or bone- like material. Some of the evidence at the site of Ain el-Buhira, a site located at the eastern end of the wadi. The site is characterized by a lake, and sediments and stone formations like marls and tufa formations that give insight into the drainage system that was built at the wadi in the Upper Pleistocene period, between 24000 and 19000 BP. Coinman suggests (in 1996) that both bone and blade technologies were more common in this period than previously thought.

Writing around 100 AD, Plutarch wrote of graffiti: "There is nothing written in them which is either useful or pleasing – only so-and-so 'remembers' so-and-so, and 'wishes him the best', and is 'the best of his friends', and many things full of such ridiculousness". 21st- century scholars have found more to study and enjoy in the visual art and intertextuality of Roman graffiti. More than simply text and thought, Roman graffiti give insight into the use of space and how people interacted within it. Studying the motivation behind the marks reveals a trend for the graffiti to be located where people spend time and pass most frequently as they move through a space.

Serial monogamy is when individuals are permitted to marry again, often on the death of the first spouse or after divorce; they cannot have more than one spouse at one time because that would be polygamy which in countries with marital monogamy like the US is called bigamy. Polygamy is a form of marriage in which someone marries multiple people at a given time, and is illegal throughout the U.S. under the Edmunds Act. Part of the function of looking at marriage from a sociological perspective is to give insight into the reasons behind various marital arrangements.

Single cell sequencing examines the sequence information from individual cells with optimized next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, providing a higher resolution of cellular differences and a better understanding of the function of an individual cell in the context of its microenvironment. For example, in cancer, sequencing the DNA of individual cells can give information about mutations carried by small populations of cells. In development, sequencing the RNAs expressed by individual cells can give insight into the existence and behavior of different cell types. In microbial systems, a population of the same species can appear to be genetically clonal, but single-cell sequencing of RNA or epigenetic modifications can reveal cell- to-cell variability that may help populations rapidly adapt to survive in changing environments.

Being able to detect pain expressed through non-verbal expression and leakage could help provide information in the clinical setting that cannot always be expressed clearly verbally or in any other manner. In one study, participants were able to accurately discriminate another person's levels of pain in electric shock scenarios based on non-verbal expression alone, so it seems as though such expressions could potentially be used to form a sensitive and accurate pain index that does not solely rely on verbal information. In a similar study involving deliverance of electric shocks and pain expression and evaluation, the author found that there are measurable, topographic changes that occur in the face when someone is experiencing pain. Such measurable responses can give insight into a person's levels of pain in a strictly non-verbal manner.

A composer of both secular and sacred music, and a pioneer in the development of opera, he is considered a crucial transitional figure between the Renaissance and Baroque periods of music history. Born in Cremona, where he undertook his first musical studies and compositions, Monteverdi developed his career first at the court of Mantua () and then until his death in the Republic of Venice where he was maestro di cappella at the basilica of San Marco. His surviving letters give insight into the life of a professional musician in Italy of the period, including problems of income, patronage and politics.

The success of the tit-for-tat strategy, which is largely cooperative despite that its name emphasizes an adversarial nature, took many by surprise. Arrayed against strategies produced by various teams it won in two competitions. After the first competition, new strategies formulated specifically to combat tit-for-tat failed due to their negative interactions with each other; a successful strategy other than tit- for-tat would have had to be formulated with both tit-for-tat and itself in mind. This result may give insight into how groups of animals (and particularly human societies) have come to live in largely (or entirely) cooperative societies, rather than the individualistic "red in tooth and claw" way that might be expected from individuals engaged in a Hobbesian state of nature.

Dragon spacecrafts can return to Earth , which can be all unpressurized disposal mass or up to of return pressurized cargo from the ISS, and is the only current spacecraft capable of returning to Earth with a significant amount of cargo. Other than the Russian Soyuz crew capsule, Dragon is the only currently operating spacecraft designed to survive re-entry. Because Dragon allows for the return of critical materials to researchers in as little as 48 hours from splashdown, it opens the possibility of new experiments on ISS that can produce materials for later analysis on ground using more sophisticated instrumentation. For example, CRS-12 returned mice that have spent time in orbit which will help give insight into how microgravity impacts blood vessels in both the brain and eyes, and in determining how arthritis develops.

These jetons, though heavily deteriorated, were able to give insight into the possible daily lives of the soldiers stationed at the fort while it was controlled by the French. Jetons often had little to no monetary value outside of French colonial holdings; largely used as a gaming piece or for betting—similar to a modern poker chip. Interestingly, this also could have shown that there was possible interaction between soldiers and natives in the area, as it has been documented that the natives also gambled in similar ways to the soldiers—horse races, card games, etc.

The remaining 4 episodes give insight into the fates of Luffy's crew, while he travels to Impel Down, the world's largest prison, to save his brother, Portgas D. Ace, from execution.

In 1938's Le corsaire [The Privateer], a "play-in-a-play" device, pioneered by Luigi Pirandello, depicts film actors portraying the life of a long-ago pirate, finding themselves caught in an endless loop of similarities. The same year saw the production of his most controversial play, Adam, which strove to give insight into the conflicted emotions of an unhappy homosexual.

The Korea Queer Film Festival (KQFF) () is a film festival held annually in Seoul that showcases the lives of sexual minorities, which seeks to increase diversity in Korean films and the human rights of LGBTQ+ people and give insight into queer culture. KQFF was established in 2001 and has been held annually ever since. KQFF is the oldest gay and lesbian film festival in Korea, and is part of the Korea Queer Culture Festival. It aims to screen rare modern and older films on a wide range of LGBT topics. KQFF was originally named the "Rainbow Film Festival" (무지개영화제) for its 1st through 6th years, then changed its name to the "Seoul LGBT Film Festival" (서울LGBT영화제) for its 7th through 13th years, and since the 14th year has been referred to as the “Korean Queer Film Festival” (한국퀴어영화제).

The Psychology of Dementia Praecox (1909) Psychogenesis of Mental Disease, volume 3 in The Collected Works, shows the development of Jung's thoughts about the nature of mental illness, and established him as a pioneer and scientific contributor to psychiatry. It contains "On the Psychology of Dementia Praecox" (1907), which Abraham Brill described as "indispensable for every student of psychiatry;" as well as nine other papers in psychiatry, all of which demonstrating Jung's original thinking about the origins of mental illness and give insight into the development of his later concepts such as the archetypes and the collective unconscious. Among the latter nine works, "The Content of the Psychoses" (1908) and two papers from 1956 and 1958, respectively, discuss Jung's conclusions after long experience in the psychotherapy of schizophrenia. This volume was edited and translated from German by Read, Hull, and Adler.

In particular in cases when the degree of stenosis of a coronary artery is unclear, IVUS can directly quantify the percentage of stenosis and give insight into the anatomy of the plaque. One particular use of IVUS in the coronary anatomy is in the quantification of left main disease in cases where routine coronary angiography gives equivocal results. Many studies in the past have shown that significant left main disease can increase mortality, and that intervention (either coronary artery bypass graft surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention) to reduce mortality is necessary when the left main stenosis is significant. When using IVUS to determine whether an individual's left main disease is clinically significant, in terms of the desirability of physical intervention, the two most widely used parameters are the degree of stenosis and the minimal lumen area.

After finishing her postdoctoral work at Harvard, Gogolla moved back to Germany in 2014 where she started a faculty position at the Max Plank Institute of Neurobiology in Martinsried, Germany. Gogolla is also an Associate Faculty in the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences at the Munich Center for Neurosciences in the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen. Gogolla currently leads a group of scientists at MPI where her research program focuses on exploring the neural circuits of the insular cortex as well as their connections to the prefrontal cortex and other limbic structures as a means to understand how it plays a part in so many diverse brain processes. A better understanding of the neural circuit mechanisms mediating diverse functions of the insular cortex, such as emotional regulation, empathy, and social behavior, will give insight into how processes are altered in disease states such as schizophrenia, ASD, addiction, and mood disorders.

The BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs invites castaways to choose eight pieces of music, a book (in addition to the Bible - or a religious text appropriate to that person's beliefs - and the Complete Works of Shakespeare) and a luxury item that they would take to an imaginary desert island, where they will be marooned indefinitely. The rules state that the chosen luxury item must not be anything animate or indeed anything that enables the castaway to escape from the island, for instance a radio set, sailing yacht or aeroplane. The choices of book and luxury can sometimes give insight into the guest's life, and the choices of guests between 2001 and 2010 are listed here. Very rarely programmes will be repeated in place of new shows as a tribute to former guests who have recently died – for example Radio 4 repeated Humphrey Lyttelton's show, originally aired on 5 November 2006, on 15 June 2008.

One story, "And Practically Strangers," originally published in Redbook magazine as "Hero's Reward," was aired on Schlitz Playhouse in 1959. Bristow's first hardback novel, Time for Glory (1968, William Morrow & Co.), published in the same year that Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, received the University of Oklahoma award for literary excellence. The novel is a story of a Black American, Sammy Apodaca, who risks his life to save White American children from a burning school bus and, as a consequence, becomes an unwitting hero in a white society that attempts to use him to promote a false perception of racial equality and white generosity. One of the first novels to give insight into the lives of Southern Black Americans, the novel was recommended reading by the Black Panther Party, was advertised by Ebony magazine, and is held in the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. Bristow's second hardback novel, Night Season, (1970, William Morrow & Co) was chosen as a Literary Guild Alternate Selection to provide high-impact advertising.

Considering the position of women and their responsibilities when it came to hospitality in particular may give insight into the ways in which aristocratic women likely controlled or helped to manage the estates. When the capitulary mentions the number of beds and linens among other essentials to be kept on hand, these would have been items that women were especially concerned with due to their role in ensuring the comfort of guests in their home. Furthermore, the Capitulare de villis makes note of the fact that, when the queen sent orders to a steward or any other official on the estate through the butler or seneschal, those orders were meant to be obeyed and the "authority of the queen to give such orders, especially through these two officers, probably derived from her responsibility for the provision of hospitality; her interests extended both to entertaining guests while appropriately displaying the wealth of the family and to providing meat for gathering aristocrats". Beyond the role of hospitality, the queen also needed to replace the role of the iudex when he was away on business for the king.
