Prof. Ho starts to tell her of his new project when she gets word of a bank robbery.

Dickey eventually gets word that his boss Katelbach is not going to come, so he demands George drive him to the mainland by causeway. George, who has had enough of Dickey's bullying, suddenly goes berserk and shoots him dead with his own gun (Teresa had stolen Dickey's pistol from his coat pocket and encouraged George to use it). Before dying, Dickey manages to retrieve his tommy gun from his broken-down car, which he had hidden away in the chicken house.

During the thiruvizha (festival), Manikkam gets into a trance and leads the way to open the temple. Anandraj, Karuvayan and Vakkanoor gang make their way into the crowd to stop Manikkam, but they were all beaten and killed, including Karuvayan and Anandraj. Manikkam successfully opens the Karuppasamy temple after 5 years and enters with other devotees, but the rest of the devotees outside were ambushed and slaughtered by more of the Vakkanoor gang that arrived onsite. Manikkam (still in the trance) gets word from a crying village elder about what Vakkanoor people did and then grabs the aruvaal (machete) and takes charge towards Vakkanoor. Meanwhile, the wives of the Vakkanoor bandits approach Manikkam’s mother (Srividya) and beg her to stop her son from slaughtering their husbands.
Steve and Stoney have a CLASS (Caribbean Land And Sea Service) import-export business consisting of a decrepit Catalina flying boat named "Caribe" and a local mechanic named Razmo. Back in Hondo Rico, when Maximo is not intimidating his guerilla band (Maximo has the only functioning weapon) he enjoys the company of the Henri's daughter Francoise as his lover. Maximo schemes a plan where he gets word to Henri that he has kidnapped Francoise and will kill her unless he delivers several crates of government rifles (actually children's versions of Kadet M1903 Springfield silver-plated drill rifles). Henri and Toussaint beat the slow flying Catalina back to Hondo Rico and steal several crates of weapons from the Hondo Rican army.
