Ernie George Wasson (born January 10, 1950 in Berkeley, California) is an American gardener, horticulturist and author. Wasson studied from 1968 to 1974 at Humboldt State University, where he graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Geography in 1974. From 1978 to 1981, Wasson was a partner in the Northwoods Nursery in Arcata, California, and from 1979 to 1981, he was a horticultural instructor at the College of the Redwoods. He graduated from the Longwood Graduate Program in Ornamental Horticulture and Public Garden Management in the University of Delaware as a Master of Science.

The 1925–26 New York Americans Success did not come easily for the Americans. Despite icing essentially the same team that finished first the previous year, they finished fifth overall in their first season with a record of 12–22–4. While the cemetery had kept a seemingly low profile in social networking in the past, management is moving to update technology and how it interacts with the changing demographic of the Metro DC community. Many people have passed its long red brick wall for years without ever realizing the expansive property inside its borders, others have the idea the cemetery is full. She argued strongly for further productions of the work in the face of the distaste expressed by the Covent Garden management at this "new and plebeian opera". She was vindicated by the public enthusiasm for the piece, which was bolstered in 1902 when Enrico Caruso joined her in the first of many Covent Garden performances together. She sang Mimì for Oscar Hammerstein I at his opera house in New York, in 1907, giving the enterprise a needed boost.

Starting from Rong's family, The Plum Garden was called one of the three best places for appreciating plum trees in Jiangnan, together with plum trees in Mt. Dengwei of Suzhou and Mt. Chaoshan of Hangzhou.

Though recently in 2018 the wages of tea garden workers have improved considerably to ₹167 by Government of Assam it is still well below the ₹350 as demanded by the workers. The wages of tea garden labourers are revised every few years through agreements between the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA) and the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS). Tea Garden labourers of the Brahmaputra Valley in Assam get ₹167 as daily wage, but including statutory and non-statutory benefits and other benefits, their daily wage is around ₹214 per day. They also get housing facilities from the tea garden management and avail free medical benefits.

As of 2019, as per an official release of the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Madhu Tea Estate, with 947 affected workers, was closed. The release said, "11 tea gardens are closed in the country. The main reasons for closure of these gardens are attributed to poor yield of the estates, ageing bush profile and high vacancy percentage in tea area, negligible uprooting / replanting of age old tea bushes for years, poor garden management practices, falling quality and price realizations, overall lack of development perspective, highly debt oriented funding strategy and ownership disputes." The annual summer and winter bedding plants in Darbishire Quad, the beds outside the SCR, and in pots around site have traditionally been in the Victorian style which reflects the era of the inception of the college. However, this is evolving due to a change in garden management in late 2019, with the aims of following more environmentally friendly growing principles and developing a more contemporary style. The western wall of Penrose and the northern wall of Vaughan form a secluded area, historically known as the Fellows' Garden (currently in a transitional phase), which is distinct from the main quad and separated from it by a hedge and a wall, and which were previously kitchen gardens. This walled garden is home to a sundial, commissioned in 1926 and commemorating first principal Madeleine Shaw-Lefevre, and a garden roller which was a gift from the parents of tutor Rose Sidgwick.
