Batgirl managed to gain the upper hand over Katharsis, but only until the rest of the Disgraced ganged up on her and Charise arrived in her Knightfall guise. Knightfall presented Batgirl with a formal offer to join her and her Disgraced in their endeavors to completely eradicate crime in Gotham.

Masa's is the second rogue metafighter to appear under Kam's employ. He controls an armada of over 10 Skeleton-type Skelbots at the same time and uses them to gang up on his opponents. He was first sent out to show the inferiority of metabots to kilobots by defeating as many as he could with his armada, but met his defeat at the hands of Roks and the Mystery Meta- fighter. Next time he appeared was when he and his skelbots ganged up on metabee when Ikki wasn't around but were defeated by Ginkai and Arcdash, despite cheating by dumping paint on Arcdash so he couldn't see.

He played all four of Denmark's matches at the 2002 World Cup, though Gravesen and his partner in the Danish midfield duo, Stig Tøfting, justified their pit bull reputations when they ganged up to play a prank on teammate Jesper Grønkjær at a World Cup training session. He missed the first group match at Euro 2004 as he was suspended due to a sending off in the last qualifying match before the tournament but he played the remaining three games before Denmark were eliminated. Blokus Duo is for two players only, and uses a smaller (14×14) board; the piece colors are purple and orange. The two starting squares are placed, not in the corner (as in the original Blokus game) but nearer to the centre. This makes a crucial difference in the flavour of the game, because players' pieces may (and usually do) touch after the first move. Even more than with the original game, Blokus Duo is an offence- centred game; it is also a much purer strategy game than the four-player game, since one is not in danger of getting ganged up on by three other players (as sometimes happens with the four-player version).

Buddy Roberts, Iceman King Parsons and the late Angel of Death stormed the ring and handcuffed Fritz to the cage, delivering a furious beating while Kerry was being ganged up by Gordy. Eventually Kevin stormed the ring to save both Kerry and Fritz. After the attack, Fritz — who was normally seen walking away from vicious attacks under his own power — was assisted out of the ring by Kerry and Kevin. Upon leaving the ring, Fritz staged a seizure by self-collapsing onto the floor of Reunion Arena, and was supposedly rushed to a hospital; local news media reported this as a top story, not realizing until later that the entire incident had been a work.

The masked Brazos brothers (Brazo de Oro, Brazo de Plata and, El Brazo) were the crowd favorites as they fought against the trio of Black Terry, Fuerza Guerrera and Negro Casas, three wrestlers that did not normally teamed up. The team work of Los Brazos proved to be the deciding factor as El Brazo and Brazo de Oro ganged up on Negro Casas to defeat him in the third and deciding fall. The semi-main event featured the martial arts inspired duo Los Fantásticos (Kato Kung Lee and Kung Fu) wrestled the rudo team of Babe Face and Scorpio. Los Fantásticos won the match in three falls, winning the first fall by disqualification and the third and final fall when Kung Fu pinned Babe Face.

In an Alternative Press article pressed in late January 2013, it was reported that Volumes had been banned from Rocketown in Nashville, after vocalist Michael Barr was evicted from the venue for dedicating a song to a gay friend. } However, later reports described how Barr was escorted from the venue by security after he had assaulted crowd members whilst hardcore dancing to other bands, and that he was "looking for a fight" while doing so. Some crowd members ganged up on Barr, at which point security had arrived to the situation and ultimately escorted Barr from the venue. After being denied access back inside when attempting to re-enter the venue, Barr allegedly shouted pejorative slurs at the concert promoter working the door.

The main even steel cage match included referees on the outside of the cage to determine when a wrestler had successfully left the cage and a special Mini-Estrella referee, El Tirantio (a shorter version of referee El Tirantes) inside the cage. During the introductions it was announced that since Espectrito I has just lost a Luchas de Apuestas match to Octagoncito 10 days earlier he was not allowed to compete in the match since he had no hair to "bet" on the match. Initially Espectrito I and his brothers, Espectrito II and La Parkita, tried to keep him in the ring but eventually the other 10 Mini-Estrellas ganged up on him and threw him out of the door of the cage.

On January 27, 2019, at the Royal Rumble event, Jax competed in the women's Royal Rumble match, entering at number 29 and lasting for over 11 minutes before she herself was eliminated by the eventual winner Becky Lynch. Later that night, Jax made history as she became the first person to ever compete in two Royal Rumble matches on the same night and the fourth woman to ever compete in a men's Royal Rumble match, after she attacked R-Truth and took his number 30 spot. Despite eliminating Mustafa Ali, Jax was ganged up by Dolph Ziggler, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton with their finishers, before being eliminated by Mysterio. On February 17, 2019, Jax and Tamina competed in a six-team Elimination Chamber match at the namesake pay-per-view to determine the inaugural holders of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, where they eliminated two teams before they themselves were eliminated.

The private charity event, which is attended by some 2,000 law enforcement personnel including police, corrections officers, and Crown attorneys, consists of both male and female members, from area police departments, paramedics, firefighters, and 911, engaging in boxing matches to determine who will win bragging rights for the following year. Proceeds of the annual event support Police Enabling Action for Community Education , chaired by Matthews and supervised by Dixon Hall, which uses the money to fund partial scholarships for local students to attend university. Officially, the event is condemned by as its "boozy underpinnings and sexist overtones" do not fit with the image the service is trying to project. Several hours after the March 2009 event three officers allegedly ganged up on a 33 Division officer, who had been officer of the month from January of that year, beating him to the extent that he was hospitalized, suffering from serious head injuries and requiring a CT scan to check for possible brain injuries; despite an internal investigation, no criminal charges were laid and no disciplinary action was reported.
