In 1964, he was appointed Dean of Faculties at the University of Glasgow; a position he resigned from in 1966. In 1967 he released his third and final publication, entitled In Defense of Freewill. Campbell died in Callender, Perthshire, on 17 March 1974.

The Smithville Seminary was a Freewill Baptist institution established in 1839 on what is now Institute Lane in Smithville-North Scituate, Rhode Island. Renamed the Lapham Institute in 1863, it closed in 1876. The site was then used as the campus of the Pentecostal Collegiate Institute and later the Watchman Institute, and is now the Scituate Commons apartments. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The main floor is populated with original box pews. The pulpit is not original, having been reconstructed from plans made by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1969, using parts from the original. Main construction of the meetinghouse was completed in 1818-19, although it was not completely finished until 1824. The original congregation was a Freewill Baptist organization led by Reverend Jeremiah Bullock, and were known locally as "Bullockites".
For the will to be changed, according to Ezekiel, God must first change the heart (Ezekiel 36:26-27) The way the heart compels the will is exemplified in the book of Exodus (among others), referring to gifts and offerings: > Exodus 35:21 Every man and woman whom their heart hath made willing to bring > in for all the work which Jehovah commanded to be done by the hand of Moses > of the sons of Israel brought in a willing-offering to Jehovah. The words above, "willing offering," is the single Hebrew word nedabah. It was translated in 1611 by King James' bible translators "freewill offering." The Hebrew nedabah “freewill offering” was “free” only insofar as it was free from compulsion by the legal requirement; free only applies to the nature of the offering in the legal sense. But the word “free” is not part of the word “nedabah.” In fact, the meaning of nadab is to be compelled/incited/impelled by one’s heart.
The former North Holderness Freewill Baptist Church building is located in the village center of Holderness, at the back of a property just east of the Squam River crossing of US Route 3. It is a 1½-story frame structure, with a gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. The building corners have simple pilasters, and the gables have corner returns. Its main facade is three bays wide, with two entrances flanking a central window.
William Hatcher Davis (January 5, 1939 – May 13, 2017)Obituary was Professor of Philosophy at Auburn University, where he taught for 47 years and served as Chair of the Department of Philosophy. He was interested in the philosophy of religion, ethics, epistemology, and pragmatism. Among his publications are The Freewill Question (The Hague: Martinus Nijhoff, 1971), Peirce's Epistemology (The Hague: Martinus Nijhoff, 1972), and "Why be Moral?" (Philosophical Inquiry 13(3–4): 1–21, 1991).
Another "freedom" Roberts advocated was the practice of using freewill offerings for church support. They were critical of the Methodist practice of pew rentals, which expressed the social prestige of those who rented the most expensive pews. Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, conferred upon Burns in 1846 the honorary degree of D.D., to which the faculty of Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, added that of LL.D. in 1872.

The Manu Smriti recommends arranged marriages for girls within three years from attainment of puberty. If unmarried, after this period, the girl may marry on her own will somebody from her own caste and rank by freewill. A man, aged thirty years, shall marry a maiden of twelve who pleases him, or a man of twenty-four a girl eight years of age; if (the performance of) his duties would (otherwise) be impeded, (he must marry) sooner.
The Portsmouth Pearl is a center of arts and culture at 45 Pearl Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Nivia Sports hand-stitched football from 1960s Nivia Sports was the first Indian sports equipment manufacturer to produce hand stitched balls, including footballs. In the 1950s, under Freewill Sports Pvt Ltd, Nivia Sports started manufacturing hand stitched leather footballs, basketballs, and volleyballs. The company exported its balls to international markets, with its first consignment of 30 balls shipped to Indonesia. In the 1960s the Nivia football received the approval of National Institute of Sports, Patiala, Punjab, India.
The White Meetinghouse, also known as the First Freewill Baptist Society Meetinghouse, is a historic meeting house on Towle Hill Road, south of Eaton Center, New Hampshire. Built in 1844, it is a well-preserved and little- altered example of a vernacular Greek Revival meeting house. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The building is now maintained by a local community organization, and is used for community events and occasional services.
Organized in 1951 as the Interstate and Foreign Missionary Baptist Associational Assembly of America, this group is now known as the Interstate and Foreign Landmark Missionary Baptist Association of America. Their purpose is to encourage fellowship among Missionary Baptist churches that practice ministerial support by freewill offerings. Since they do not believe in stipulated salaries for pastors and missionaries, they are also known as "Faithway Baptists". Churches of this association originally fellowshipped with the American Baptist Association.

Moses Cheney served as a conductor on the Underground Railroad at his home in Peterborough where he hosted Frederick Douglass on several occasions. Cheney was also the original printer of The Morning Star, an abolitionist Freewill Baptist newspaper. Cheney's son Oren Cheney was the founder and first president of Bates College in Maine, and Moses' son Person Cheney served as a U.S. Senator and Governor of New Hampshire. Moses Cheney died on July 17, 1875, and was buried in Ashland.
In 2015, Cal Christian College moved to a temporary location at 5364 E. Belmont Avenue, the campus of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Fresno, as the board and administration prepare to begin construction on a new campus. CCC offers both associate's and bachelor's degrees, ranging from liberal studies to Christian ministry. CCC is owned and operated by the California State Association of Free Will Baptists. The president functions as the administrative officer of the college under the direction of the Board of Trustees.
Mapia Atoll (Indonesian: Kepulauan Mapia), historically known as the Freewill Islands or San David, is an atoll in the Pacific Ocean. It is located in Papua province of Indonesia, approximately 290 kilometers north of the city of Manokwari and 630 kilometers from the islands of Palau. It consists of two main islands, Bras (Berasi) and Pegun (Mapia), the smaller Fanildo, and two minor islands, Bras Kecil (Little Bras) and Fanildo Kecil (Little Fanildo). The islands constitute a part of Supiori Regency, Papua.
The Pentecostal Collegiate Institute in North Scituate, 1905. In 1839, the Smithville Seminary, a Freewill Baptist institution was founded in North Scituate and existed on and off as an educational institution until it finally closed in 1876. The Pentecostal Collegiate Institute then moved to the former campus from Saratoga Springs, New York in 1902. When PCI became Eastern Nazarene College and left in 1919, William Holland purchased the property and moved his Watchman Industrial School and Camp there in 1923.

The North Holderness Freewill Baptist Church–Holderness Historical Society Building (Third Free Will Baptist Church of Holderness) is an historic church building in Holderness, New Hampshire. Built in 1860 for a Free Will Baptist congregation, it is a little-altered example of a rural vernacular church building. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The building was moved in 1994 from its original site on Owl Brook Road to U.S. Route 3 east of the center of Holderness by the Holderness Historic Society, who now own it.

In 1906, an October snowstorm in Salida, Colorado, destroyed Sunday's tenta special disaster because revivalists were typically paid with a freewill offering at the end of their meetings. Thereafter he insisted that towns build him temporary wooden tabernacles at their expense. The tabernacles were comparatively costly to build (although most of the lumber could be salvaged and resold at the end of the meetings), and locals had to put up the money for them in advance. Morehead City Historic District is a national historic district located at Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina. It encompasses 123 contributing buildings in the oldest section of the town of Morehead City. The buildings predominantly date from about 1900 to 1930, and include notable examples of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include the Dudley House (1857), First Methodist Church (rebuilt 1952), Franklin Memorial Methodist Church (1923), the First Baptist Church (1920s), the First Freewill Baptist Church (1904, 1957), and the former Morehead City Public School (Charles S. Wallace Graded School, 1930).
It is said that one of their earlier concerts was attended by international Christian recording artists Freewill & JBG. The first song the group recorded was called "Ella y él", written by Juan Carlos Rodriguez. It had R&B; influences and told of the story of a young man who abandoned his Christian faith to go a world that offered him nothing but pain and suffering. Soon the song became a hit in their country and the group was showered with invitations to concerts and events like never before, prompting the need to record an album.
The First Freewill Baptist Church is located in what is now a rural setting at the geographic center of Alton, on the east side of Drew Hill Road near its junction with Gilman's Corner Road. It is a single-story wood frame structure, with a gabled roof, clapboarded exterior, and stone foundation. Its Greek Revival features include corner pilasters and an entablature, features which are repeated on the first stage of the bell tower, which houses the original period bell. The interior retains many original features, including gas light fixtures and wall sconces.
It is at this time that the building received its Greek Revival styling, and the basics of its present interior were laid out. The Loudon Town Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Town offices were moved out of the building in the 1970s, first to an adjacent public works building which no longer stands. The present-day town hall for Loudon is located at 29 South Village Road in the center of Loudon village, and this building now serves exclusively as the home of the Freewill Baptist Church congregation.
Dunjee also played a particularly prominent role in supporting Storer College as an agent for the school, a Freewill Baptist College for African Americans in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. William Still, the abolitionist, who helped facilitate Dunjee's escape from slavery, also served as a trustee of Storer. After his work at Storer, Dunjee next became a minister with the Baptist Home Missionary Society. He traveled throughout the country from New England to the South to the Midwest preaching and starting new Baptist churches for African Americans in mainly rural areas.
Wyco Church, also known as Wyco Community Church, Wyco Independent Church, Wyco Freewill Baptist Church, and Wyco Independent Baptist Church, is a historic Baptist church located near Mullens, Wyoming County, West Virginia. It was built in 1917, and is a rectangular frame building with a front gable- roof and set a cut sandstone foundation. It is clad in wood clapboard and features lancet windows and a prominent, recessed entrance in the Late Gothic Revival style. It was constructed by Coal Baron Major W.T. Tam's carpenters for use by coal miners and their families at the Wyco coal town .
To this day, Methodism and offshoots of the denomination: Pentecostals, Seventh-day Adventists and Third Wave, along with General Baptists, usually are the ones to subscribe to Arminianism, while Presbyterians, Reformed Churches, Reformed Baptists, and others subscribe to Calvinism. Largely because of its origins in Germany and Scandinavia rather than the British Isles or Holland, Lutheranism was uninvolved in the dispute, and official Lutheran doctrine does not fully support either group, preferring instead its own doctrinal formulations about the relation of human freedom to divine sovereignty. This is also true of Primitive Baptist belief. Restorationist fellowships are customarily freewill in their soteriology.

Permanent Waves is the seventh studio album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released on January 14, 1980, through Anthem Records. After touring to support their previous album, Hemispheres (1978), the band regrouped in July 1979 to work on material for a follow-up.
