Betagarri is a Spanish ska band from Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque Autonomous Community. It was formed in 1993, but it was not until February 1997 that they recorded their first album, Betagarri, with the Vitoria record company 'Mil A Gritos', who also produced their second work, Arren Erro Zaharra, a year later. The history of this group from Vitoria is a bit unlikely. Gontzo, Iñaki and Aitor colleagues were already accustomed to partying with the nom de guerre of Betagarri, but never imagined they would end up forming a group with this name.

Air races manager Cliff Henderson, acting on the suggestion of St. Paul, Minnesota's Francis J. San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park In 1941, a group of San Diego businessmen met in the office of then Director of the Fine Arts Gallery in Balboa Park, Reginald Poland. During the colonial era, many Indonesians were sent for enslavement by the Dutch East Indies to their other colonies such as Suriname and New Caledonia, while political dissidents against Dutch colonization were sent to South Africa from Indonesia during the 18th century, forming a group known as Cape Malays. Some ethnic groups outside of Indonesia also have Indonesian ancestry; for example, the Malagasy people are descended from Borneo seafarers who traveled to Madagascar from the Malay Archipelago in the 7th and 8th centuries during the peak of the maritime Srivijaya empire.

After a while Spartan and the original Oficiales had a falling out after Spartan cost their team a number of matches due to disqualifications and they kicked him out of the group. Spartan would return with back up in the form of Oficial Rayan, forming a group called Los Oficiales Elite to start a rival faction to Los Oficiales. Spartan and rival Oficial 911 were both part of the 2011 Castillo del Terror ("Castle of Terror") match, a steel cage match where all the contestants put their mask on the line.

In January 2019, Morris released the lead single "Girl" from her upcoming second major label studio album of the same name and simultaneously announced a worldwide concert, Girl: The World Tour, to support the album which was released on March 8. The tour began on March 9 in Chicago, and concluded on August 23, 2019 in Canberra, Australia. In March, it was announced that Morris would be forming a group with Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby called The Highwomen (in reference to The Highwaymen), often joined by a rotating line-up of guests, such as Sheryl Crow, Chely Wright, Margo Price and Courtney Marie Andrews. A social media post by Shires' husband Jason Isbell hinted that the group had already begun recording with producer Dave Cobb.

On the September 3 episode of SmackDown, The Ascension attacked Neville as he was making his way to the ring against Stardust, aligning themselves with Stardust in the process and thus forming a group known as "The Cosmic Wasteland", where in Stardust calls The Ascension his "henchmen". At Night of Champions, Stardust and The Ascension defeated Neville and The Lucha Dragons in a six-man tag team match in the pre-show, but were subsequently defeated in two rematches. On the Survivor Series kickoff, The Cosmic Wasteland, The Miz, and Bo Dallas were defeated by The Dudley Boyz, Neville, Goldust and Titus O'Neil in a Five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match. In May 2016, The Cosmic Wasteland stable disbanded after Stardust left the company.

However, the idea that aistopods branched off from the tetrapodomorph family tree much earlier than other lepospondyls has been supported by some analyses, such as a 2017 study on the braincase of Lethiscus, which was considered to have been the most "primitive" aistopod prior to the naming of Andersonerpeton.

Olusola posted the video on April 14, 2011, and by the second week, the video had reached number 6 on Reddit, and had become a viral video on the Internet, garnering national and international acclaim. At the time the video was going viral, Olusola was contacted by Scott Hoying who was impressed by his musicality and beatboxing skills. Hoying was forming a group with Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, and Avi Kaplan to compete in season three of NBC’s The Sing-Off and he wanted Olusola to join. The second weekend after Olusola graduated from college, he met the group the day before the audition, and Pentatonix was born. After the taping of the show, Olusola did a brief stint as the cellist for Gungor on the David Crowder Band "7" Tour before returning with Pentatonix for the season finale.

The fortress is a star fortification with a quadrangular shape with four bastions in each end; two facing the sea (Conceição and São Francisco de Bórgia bastions), and two facing the land (São José and São Filipe e Diogo bastions). Over the flanks of the first two bastions two groups of walls, 33 metres high, join in with a sharp angle facing the sea, forming a group with 7 metres high and extending for 60 meters. It is an architectural project by the sergeant major and engineer Sebastião de Souza. At the ground level of the fortress, there's a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, today known as Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Castelo (Castle's Chapel of Our Lady of Conception), it was known as Royal Chapel (Capela Real) and was built in 1733.

The group was formed in 2009, when all of its members were signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, a Carson-based independent record label. The idea of forming a group came from Schoolboy Q, who said he was "slacking in [his] music": "I figured if I could be in a group I could just write one verse and I could be good", he added. Schoolboy Q, the last of the four to join the label, admitted to initially being intimidated when he first started going to the studio, but eventually the tenacity of his collaborators rubbed off on him. In 2011, Black Hippy received co-signs from West Coast hip hop legends Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, as well as Tech N9ne who called them "the new N.W.A", and had hopes of signing the group to his Strange Music imprint.

After Barrett left the group in 1968 owing to mental health issues, Wright considered leaving and forming a group with him, but realised it would not have been practical. On January 21, 2017, the day after Guerra de Titanes, Garza Jr. left AAA and made a surprise appearance at a "The Crash" show in Tijuana, Baja California alongside Daga and Pentagón Jr. who also left AAA. The trio was joined by Rey Fénix, stating that they were now independent of AAA and were forming a group. Later that night Garza Jr. teamed up with Daga to compete in a five-team match against Pentagón Jr./Rey Fénix, Matt Hardy/Jeff Hardy, Bestia 666/Nicho El Millonario and Juventud Guerrera/Super Crazy that was won by Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix. On the same night it was announced that The Crash Tag Team Championship was vacant, stripping Garza Jr. and Último Ninja of the championship to allow the Broken Hardys to win the championship in the main event of the show by defeating Juventud Guerrera and Super Crazy.

After Shocker left Guapos VIP began a feud with Brazo de Plata, also known as "Super Porky" as they considered him "too hideous to touch", that feud, saw Guapos VIP defeat Brazo de Plata, El Intocable, El Oriental and El Zorro) at the 2006 Verano de Escandalo PPV. In early 2007 Zumbido and Alan Stone teamed up to participate in a tournament to determine the first ever AAA World Tag Team Champions. The team qualified for the finals at the 2007 Rey de Reyes show, but lost to The Black Family (Dark Cuervo and Dark Ozz)) in a match that also included The Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy and Joe Líder) and Real Fuerza Aérea (Pegasso and Super Fly). Over the summer of 2007 Alan Stone turned on Guapos VIP and formed his own group Los Bello Stones along with his brothers Chris Stone and Super Caló, forming a group with a similar "metrosexual" gimmick as Guapos VIP.

The origin of the Paramounts is unclear. They were either formed as "The Raiders" in 1959 when the members were at secondary school, or were one of the first "manufactured" bands, the organisers of a band competition at the Palace Hotel in Southend forming a group out of the best musicians in the contest. The Raiders had Robin Trower and Chris Copping (guitars), Mick Trower (lead vocals; older brother of Robin Trower) and Gary Nicholls (drums; born 1945 died April 2007). The initial line-up of the Paramounts from September 1960, was Gary Brooker (piano, ex- Johnny Short and the Coasters), Mick Brownlee (drums; born October 1943, Chiswick, West London died June 2017, ex-Mickey Law and the Outlaws), Chris Copping (bass), Bob Scott (vocals, ex-Bob Scott and the Clansmen) and Robin Trower (guitar). Scott soon left, and Brooker became the vocalist, but as he was only 14, this made playing in licensed premises difficult, so they started performing in Trower's father's cafe, which became The Shades Club.

Commentators have offered a range of explanations as to the exact nature of the Mysterons. According to Nicholas J. Cull, they are a species of "invisible" alien, while Alasdair Wilkins and Sophie Bushwick of the website io9 describe them as "an unfathomable race of probably non-corporeal entities". The tie-in publication The Complete Book of Captain Scarlet by Chris Bentley refutes the notion that the Mysterons of the original series are a type of energy being, instead referring to them as "sentient computers" forming a group mind. The computer complex on Mars is the legacy of the original, corporeal Mysteron race – described as being of extragalactic origin and "masters in the art of computer technology" – who colonised the planet in the 2nd millennium BC and abandoned it at the start of the 20th century AD. Eamonn McCusker of The Digital Fix describes the Mysterons – along with their primary agent, Captain Black – as "the perfect villains", arguing that their menacing voices and green "eyes" helped to make Captain Scarlet "more memorable than any of Anderson's other shows".

Upon hearing an early arrangement of an obscure Peter Paul and Mary album track, the then relatively unknown "Leaving on a Jet Plane" that Pickett had curated and was now performing with his folk singing partner Paddy Maguire at "Mother's" in Erdington 1968, Warner Bros executives Ian Ralfini and Martin Wyatt arriving from London to audition the duo and realising the track was already published by Warners, released it a few weeks later and the song went straight to Number One in the UK chart staying there for several weeks. Moving to London in 1969, Phil was employed as an arranger by E. H. Morris, a US music publisher based in Hanover Square W1 with the added responsibility of sifting through the many tapes sent in by hopeful writers. One of the songwriters was Norwegian guitarist / vocalist, Georg Kajanus, who after being recommended to the publisher, Phil contacted with a view to forming a group. The duo, now called "Kajanus Pickett" recorded an album of self-composed material, "Hi-Ho Silver" for Arty Mogul's Signpost label, an imprint of Atlantic Records.

After leaving CMLL, Toscano made his debut for the Perros del Mal promotion on November 12, 2011. In early 2012 he lost a six-way match to Hector Garza, where the winner would get a match for the Mexican National Heavyweight Championship. On December 8, 2011, Toscano appeared at a press conference, where it was announced that he was joining CMLL's rival promotion AAA, becoming the third CMLL worker, after Héctor Garza and El Texano Jr., to leave the promotion for AAA within a 30-day period. Toscano made his AAA debut on December 16 at Guerra de Titanes, forming a group known as El Consejo ("The Council") with former CMLL wrestler Texano Jr. and Máscara Año 2000 Jr. On January 21, 2012, Mortiz and Semental joined El Consejo, pushing the storyline that the group was against both the tecnicos and rudos of AAA. El Consejo's first big match in AAA took place on March 18 at Rey de Reyes, where Toscano, El Texano Jr., and Máscara Año 2000 Jr. defeated AAA representatives Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock and Heavy Metal, following interference from the stable's newest member, El Hombre de Negro.
