Malik is initially incredulous and refuses, but the two are still being chased by Madison and his men (Toby's device emits a tracking signal they can follow). After a variety of adventures, including being handcuffed together by Madison and escaping a bus station ambush, the two form a friendship and Malik agrees to bring Toby to Los Angeles.

The two have very little in common except for the fact that they married and divorced the same woman. EastEnders worked with charities, the NSPCC and SurvivorsUK, to accurately portray the story. Frankie is spotted by Callum Highway as she argues with Dr Laghari (Ezra Faroque Khan), her doctor. Callum later sees Frankie in Walford and asks her to talk to Ben about life as a deaf person; Ben initially rejects Frankie, but they soon form a friendship.

Hall also explained that Ned still cares for Lauren and he turns to her for advice, but he has put any romantic feelings aside, so they can form a friendship instead. Hall also admitted that he thought it was "a bit weird" of Ned to feel that way about Lauren in the first place. Following leads picked up from his radio, annotated maps, and discarded diary entries, the man explores the apartment complex infested with monsters. He finds a card with a radio frequency, which he uses to discover another survivor, a man who refers to himself as "The Director," who occasionally provides the man with flares, bullets, human and cat food, kitchen supplies, and electronics. Though their encounters are brief, the man and The Director begin to form a friendship.

This upset both Lechia and Śląsk fans as fans of Ruch Chorzów and Widzew Łódź were involved in the murder of a Śląsk fan in 2003. The main Lechia Gdańsk fan group posted that the decision for Wisła to form a friendship with Ruch was unacceptable for the fans of Lechia, and that the friendship was to be terminated. The main Śląsk Wrocław fan group posted a similar response the following day officially ending the TKWM alliance.

After Foon, who is a founder of a prestigious child learning center loses his job, he finds work at his friend's noodle shop, working the late shift. The noodle shop and Chan-chan's new shop happened to be right across from each other, because of this the two see each other everyday and besides bickering they also become closer. When Foon realizes that the ghostly Baks cannot be rid, he forms a truce with them in order to co-habitat peacefully. After seeing that the Baks are friendly, peaceful ghost who will do no harm to the living, Foon and the Baks form a friendship.

Liaoyang resident Wu Chengxiu () hears, in his dreams, the name of the one who "can share your trials and tribulations", and he rushes to enquire about Tian Qilang. He learns that Tian is a twenty-year-old hunter who lives with his mother in a dilapidated shack. Attempting to form a friendship with him, Wu first offers him gold, which he refuses; then Wu pays Tian a handsome sum for a few animal hides. However, Tian does not accept Wu's invitation to his residence, and his mother chases Wu away, because she senses that turmoil will befall him and she does not want her son to be implicated.

At the party, Troy tries to tell Jenna about Duncan until Troy's dad (voiced by Gary Anthony Williams) comes and drags him back home for being out while grounded. Duncan and Jenna begin to form a friendship but she abruptly leaves after he talks about Troy's dad.

The Tic Code (also known as Lessons in the Tic Code) is a drama film directed by Gary Winick and written by Polly Draper. It tells of a single mother, the relationship she forms with a jazz musician who has Tourette syndrome, and her young son—a piano prodigy—also with the disorder. Maxine decides to try to get Vernon help and enlists the help of Miss Annie, who is her neighbor. She agrees to help Vernon pull up his English grade, but eventually insists that as payment, Vernon must help Maxine out around the house and help with Ronald as well. While it is not easy for him, as Maxine is usually drunk and sometimes ends up in jail as a result, Vernon begins spending more and more time around Maxine and Ronald and begins to form a friendship with the young man.

However, they are captured by Mr. Electric, and delivered to the mastermind, who is revealed to be Minus, a villain resembling Linus who has altered the dreamworld with Max's journal, and traps the three in a cage.

Chelsea later discovers that Jeffrey Bardwell (Ted Shackelford) is her father and confronts him; a paternity test is conducted proving Chelsea's accusations, but Jeffrey attempts to make everyone believe that his deceased twin brother William was her father. Chelsea then befriends Adam Newman (Michael Muhney), and although he tells her he isn’t good enough for her, she persists and they form a friendship, even after Victoria's warnings. After Victoria finds Chelsea having had dinner with Adam, she storms off and falls into a frozen lake; Adam rescues her and ends up delivering her baby. After the birth of Johnny, Chelsea terminates all of her parental rights and allows Billy to raise the child with Victoria.

When Albert returns to his mother's home, he finds her housekeeper Alice (Marlene Tracy), whom he tortures and murders. When Alice's 9-year-old daughter Annie (Geri Reischl) returns home from school, Albert immediately takes a liking to her and tells her that her mother has gone to the hospital and left him to take care of Annie while she is away. Albert reverts to a childlike persona and they immediately form a friendship, playing games, talking and laughing together. Albert takes Annie on a day of doing activities like riding paddleboats and a small train and that night he takes her to a hotel where they conduct a mock wedding ritual.

On the night of the party, McCreadie cons the Syrian refugees into working for him with a three card monte trick after his local employees down tools.

He seizes control over their accounts, preventing her from having any money, and she is forced to work for Marisol's maid company as her assistant. Adrian starts to form a friendship with Zoila Diaz, despite finding out she's only pretending to be rich, and later decides to marry Gail Fleming in hopes of drawing Evelyn back, but they go through with signing their divorce papers, too stubborn. It's when Gail is arrested for murdering Peri Westmore that the Powells are left with the question of whether or not they get back together... and the answer goes unrevealed, as one year later Adrian attends Marisol's wedding. He sits in the audience as Evelyn is maid of honor, but the wedding is interrupted as it seems Marisol has been kidnapped.

Grampa takes over in telling a story in a parody of the 1933 King Kong film, Marge joins Mr. Burns (as a parody of Carl Denham) and Smithers (as a parody of Jack Driscoll) on an expedition to Ape Island to find the legendary King Homer. After landing on the island, Mr. Burns, Smithers, and Marge stealthily approach a native tribe, but when they are spotted due to Marge's hair protruding over the bushes, she is kidnapped and tied to a post as an offering for King Homer, who is summoned by the sound of drums. Marge is initially terrified but sees the friendly side of Homer when he is attracted to Marge's perfume, and the two form a friendship. Nonetheless, Mr. Burns is determined to capture King Homer and Smithers knocks Homer unconscious with a gas bomb.
