He was initially a supporter of socialist trade unions. He supported Italian intervention in World War I. This appears to be the first mention of the concept of a constructed language in literature.

The Essential Tony Bennett is a two-CD compilation album by Tony Bennett, released in 2002.CD packaging The collection is part of a series of Essential sets released by Columbia Records and was created in collaboration with RPM Records and Legacy Recordings. The compilation includes material from throughout Bennett's career with Columbia, with no recordings after 1970 and before 1986 as Bennett was with other labels or unsigned altogether during that fallow period of his career. The 12-page foldout CD insert contains songwriting, arranging, and producing credits for each track, as well as recording dates and chart positions attained if any.

On April 10, 2014, Grande asked her fans to choose between two new possible images to be used for the single's artwork release. BatBox is the second studio album of new material from French electronic musician Miss Kittin, co-written and produced with Pascal Gabriel. The month of June began with Rihanna being at the #1 spot for both the singles and download chart. Her third album Good Girl Gone Bad also made it to the top in the albums chart. The White Stripes reached #2 with their single "Icky Thump". The 7" format of the single went on to become the UK's biggest selling 7" single in twenty years, which was partly due to a tie in with XL Records and NME (who had given away a free foldout 7" of new song "Rag and Bone", with space to include the "Icky Thump" 7").

IBM ThinkPad 701The TrackWrite, also known as the butterfly keyboard, is a foldout laptop computer keyboard designed by John Karidis for IBM as part of the ThinkPad 701 series, released in 1995. It allowed the 701 series to be both compact (when closed) and comfortable to use (when open), despite being just 24.6 cm (9.7 in) wide with a 26.4 cm (10.4 in) VGA LCD. The 701 was the top selling laptop of 1995; however, as later laptop models featured progressively larger screens, the need for a folding keyboard was eliminated. Consequently, no model but the 701 used the butterfly keyboard.

Due to the lack of a barrel, the revolver's effective range is very limited. Since its component parts can be folded inward towards the cylinder, it is easily concealable inside a pocket. He authored and published an important textbook on the theory and practice of watchmaking: "Manuel Chronométrique ou précis de ce qui concerne le temps, ses divisions, ses mesures, leurs usages", Published 1821 by Didot, Paris (267 pages, Frontispiece and 5 engraved foldout plates). He also produced a written account of twelve of his very original timekeepers, which was published 1827 under the title "Recueil des Machines composées et exécutées par Antide Janvier", which has been reissued 1995 in facsimile format by publisher "L'image du Temps" (56 pages). Ed Ruscha's Every Building on the Sunset Strip (1966) was made by photographing building facades contiguously as seen from the back of a pickup truck traveling a 4 km length of the street. In the ironically 'deadpan' spirit of his work at the time, he published the work in strip form in a foldout book, intended to be viewed from one end or the other to see either side of 'The Strip' in correct orientation. Preceding Ruscha's work, in 1954, Yoshikazu Suzuki produced an accordion-fold panorama of every building on Ginza Street, Tokyo in the Japanese architecture book Ginza, Kawaii, Ginza Haccho.Company, David (2012) 'Precedented Photography'.

In the foldout of one of two the booklets enclosed is another satirical cartoon by Olaf Jens taken from the front cover of the Volume 10 LP. The two booklets contain well-researched liner notes written by Chris Bishop of Garage Hangover.com which convey basic information about each song and group, such as origin, recording date, and biographical sketches, as well as photographs of the bands. Each booklet's information corresponds to the tracks on one of the LPs, the first for Volume 9 and the second for Volume 10. The track list to the Volumes 5 and 6 CD is identical to the corresponding LPs.

Stefani's cover of José Feliciano's "Feliz Navidad" is a duet with Chilean singer-songwriter Mon Laferte; a vertical music video of Stefani and Laferte performing the song was released exclusively on Spotify in December 2018. A limited edition deluxe version of You Make It Feel Like Christmas was distributed Target stores, containing a foldout holiday-themed poster of Stefani within the album's liner notes. The deluxe edition was also pressed on vinyl and released on November 30, 2018 via Stefani's official website.

The album and its title track were named after the then 11-year-old Cunard Line ocean liner Queen Elizabeth 2. The album cover design appears to be a close-up of the side of the ship, complete with Plimsoll Line in the lower left corner. The first pressing even had a porthole cut out in the sleeve. The inside of the original foldout LP sleeve featured a schematic of one of the Queen Elizabeth 2's decks as well as a stylised picture of her engine; these have not been reprinted in later reissues, except for the 2012 reissue by Mercury Records on CD and LP, which reinstates all the elements of the original artwork with the exception of the cut-out porthole.

Let There Be Love is Joni James debut album, recorded in 1953 and released by MGM Records at the end of the year. It was released in a four-disc 10-inch 78-rpm record box, in both a two-disc 7-inch 45-rpm extended-play foldout album and a four-disc 45-rpm regular-play box and on a 10-inch 33⅓-rpm album. The serial number, 222, coincidentally included James's lucky number, "22," which appeared in many of her record serial numbers all over the world. The album is the first to present its songs as a book in music, opening with "Let There Be Love" and closing with "I'll Be Seeing You", with the songs telling a story start to finish.

The company was founded in 1969 by James F. Dunnigan to take over publishing Strategy & Tactics, which had been in financial trouble. However, SPI quickly proved that it was primarily a game publisher; not only did it produce many regular wargame designs, but starting with SPI's takeover, each issue of S&T; included a complete wargame, comprising a map, rule book and a sheet of die-cut counters. In SPI's first two or three years, it embarked upon an expensive advertising campaign, including—but not limited to—full page advertisements in Scientific American magazine. New subscribers received free copies of its most successful game, Napoleon At Waterloo—an "easy to play" pocket-sized game with a foldout map and 78 pieces punched from card stock.

The fifth edition in 1991 included 5 books: :1 South :2 Central :3 North :River Thames :Broads & Fens 7th Edition 1995, by this time Nicholsons had been an 'Imprint' of Harper Collins and was back down to four books, with a fifth publication being the first foldout small-scale map covering Great Britain. :1 South :2 Central :3 North :River Thames :Guide to Great Britain A major change occurred in the mid-1990s, when Ordnance Survey announced that the two-tone maps should be replaced by full-colour maps.

Larry Lieber was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York, the second child of Romanian-Jewish immigrant parents Celia (Solomon; 1898-1947) and Jack Lieber (1893-1964), and the brother of Stanley Martin Lieber, later known as Marvel Comics editor and impresario Stan Lee. When he was six months old, the family moved to The Bronx,Alter Ego interview, p. 19 of print version settling at 1720 University Avenue, which Lee described as a one-bedroom, "third-floor apartment facing out back", with him and Larry sharing a bedroom and his parents using a foldout couch. At "about ten-and-a-half", with his brother in the U.S. Army, Lieber and his parents returned to Manhattan, moving to the Washington Heights neighborhood.

On their 1994 album Triple Mania II, San Diego's industrial noise performance outfit Crash Worship reworked several Darger images and screen printed them on a copper foil foldout discfolio; as well as the insert and disc. In 2011, Majical Cloudz released "Childhood's End", a haunting song influenced by Darger's later life. New York jazz pianist Sam Harris's 2014 album Interludes includes a song entitled "The Hermit Darger". The song "April 8th" by indie rock band Neutral Milk Hotel, from their debut studio album On Avery Island, has also been suggested to be heavily inspired by Darger's life, especially on his later years of extreme social reclusion; April 8th was the date on which Elsie Paroubek went missing, and the song appears to imagine a fictional meeting between Paroubek and Darger.

In 2016, a major new reference book created by Zinsmeister, thecAlmanac of American Philanthropy, was published after three years of in- depth research. The book has been described as the authoritative reference on private giving in the U.S. It contains sections on America's greatest givers, living and dead; the major achievements of American philanthropy in nine areas (including Medicine, Education, the Arts, Religion, Overseas giving, Local projects, and so forth); an annotated list of essential readings in the field; a collection of leading quotes on philanthropy; a 22-page foldout timeline mapping important philanthropic events in the U.S. from 1636 to 3015. Zinsmeister's long introductory essay analyzes the cultural importance of philanthropy to the success of the United States. He created a Compact Edition of the Almanac of American Philanthropy in 2017.

In these letters, White details the natural history of the area around his family home at the vicarage of Selborne in Hampshire. Many of the 'letters' were never posted, and were written especially for the book. Patrick Armstrong, in his book The English Parson-Naturalist, notes that in particular, "an obvious example is the first, nominally to Thomas Pennant, but which is clearly contrived, as it introduces the parish, briefly summarizing its position, geography and principal physical features."Armstrong, 2000. p.

A map is printed on the reverse side of almost all right-hand pages. Some maps are even wider than 63 cm and therefore have a foldout; see the table of contents. The index, a separate volume, has a title page, a preface of two pages, a page on how to use the index, and a page with the abbreviations used. Thereafter is the actual index of 545 pages. In the end are 14 pages with translations of non-Russian geographical terms and words that occur in place names. After the key to map symbols the map section has 5 pages of world maps, 3 pages with historical maps, 76 pages with maps of the Soviet Union en 53 pages with maps of Western Europe – meaning in this case the part of Europe that is outside the Soviet Union.

Let's Tap consists of a number of minigames that requires the player to tap a flat surface with their hands to play. The game requires the player to set the Wii Remote face-side down on a flat, stable surface, with the accelerometer picking up their vibrations as they tap the surface to move an on-screen character in a race, inflate a balloon, create ripples in a pool of water or paint swirls on a canvas. In a video released by Sega the player is shown resting the Wii Remote on an empty box originally used to package the Wii console.Let's Tap Japanese Debut Trailer In Japan and Europe Sega released the game with two foldout cardboard boxes that players are able to use as a tapping surface, but these are not included in the North American package.

A super deluxe edition box set, limited to 1,000 copies, was released in the United Kingdom on 11 June 2012, containing a bonus disc of remixes (also included on the regular deluxe edition) and an exclusive four- track EP, in addition to an enamel badge, four art prints, a giant foldout Ordnance Survey map-style print of the album artwork, and a book packed with photography by Paul Kelly not used in any other format. Back from the Grave, Volumes 9 and 10 (CD), is numerically, though not chronologically, the fifth installment in the series of Back from the Grave of garage rock compilations released on compact disk in 2015 which, unlike the previous set of CD releases issued between 1996–2000, which it will be replacing, attempts to faithfully replicate the contents of the Back from the Grave LPs, which will bring the series for the first time into multi-medium coherence. Like all of the entries in the series it was assembled by Tim Warren of Crypt Records. The CD is enclosed in a Digipack which, features a wraparound of the same cartoon by Olaf Jens that appears on the Volume 9 LP. After two years in the making and almost four years since her debut album I Com, Miss Kittin released her second album, BatBox on 4 February 2008, on her label Nobody's Bizzness. BatBox's thirteen original songs were composed whilst touring throughout the world. Miss Kittin described the tracks as a flirtation with Goth culture, as reflected in vocal lines such as "bat in a box / show me what you goth". Artist Rob Reger designed the cover and included his "Emily the Strange" cartoon in a 12-page foldout booklet for the album.Miss Kittin released 'BatBox' in late January 2008 on the Nobody's Bizness label Miss Kittin released the singles "Kittin Is High" and "Grace" to promote the album. In 2008, Miss Kittin & The Hacker reunited as a duo, and toured throughout America and around the world, before they both started recording new songs, some of which were performed whilst touring. Two, their second album together, was released in March 2009. The album was released 8 years after their first and only full LP as a duo.

Marsy's Law grants protective rights to an alleged victim of a crime and revokes certain rights of people accused of a crime to defend themselves (see Criticism). Since its passage, when any alleged victim of crime is contacted by law enforcement, just as the accused are read their Miranda Rights, that victim is immediately informed of his or her Marsy's Rights and provided with "Marsy's Card", a small foldout containing a full description of each of the 17 Marsy's Rights, which is also available for download in 17 languages on the California Office of the Attorney General website. The California Attorney General has published these rights, which now are utilized by every law enforcement agency in the state. In addition, each of 58 county District Attorney's offices are required to inform alleged victims of these rights at the time a case is filed for criminal prosecution.
