They are drawn into the investigation of Jason Cravette (O'Neal), an insane murderer who kills a woman and then "marries" her. The film used the gimmicks of the Fear Flasher (the screen flashing red for several seconds) and the Horror Horn (an audible alert) to alert viewers to grisly moments.

Arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, Dr. Richard Thorndyke has several odd encounters (such as a flasher impersonating a police officer, and a passing bus with a full orchestra playing inside it). He is taken by his camera-happy driver, Brophy, to the Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous, where he has been hired as a replacement for Dr. Ashley, who died mysteriously–Brophy suspects foul play. Upon his arrival, Thorndyke is greeted by the staff, Dr. Charles Montague, Dr. Philip Wentworth, and Nurse Charlotte Diesel. Thorndyke hears strange noises coming from Nurse Diesel's room and he and Brophy go to investigate.

The Adventures of OG Sherlock Kush is an American animated comedy series that aired on FXX. The character is created by Joseph Carnegie and was first introduced on October 27, 2014 in a Season 2 episode of Lucas Bros Moving Co. Season One premiered on FXX on January 1, 2015 as a part of the channel's Animation Domination programming block. The series aired an 11-minute special, The Mystery of The Royal Flasher, as a part of their 4/20 Block on April 20, 2015. A second season was announced on January 29, 2016 and episodes began airing on exclusively on Animation Domination High-Def's YouTube Channel on February 1, 2016.

In early November, the Breeders performed with the group Flasher opening for them, in Detroit, Boston, and Washington, D.C., followed by dates in Philadelphia and New York City, with Vacation opening again. They then played the five shows on the West Coast between November 8 and 13, in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco (two shows), and Los Angeles; Melkbelly was the support band for this final leg of the tour.

The original lens was reused, but was replaced with a modern acrylic flasher in 1995 when it was found in need of repair. The lens was given to the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, where it was restored and put on display. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Duluth South Breakwater Inner (Duluth Range Rear) Lighthouse in 1983 for its local significance in the themes of commerce, engineering, and transportation. Grandique Point Lighthouse In 1906 the decision was made to build a proper lighthouse at Grandique Point. Constructed under contract by Lawrence Mury of West Arichat for the price or $452, the new light was ready for the opening of navigation in 1907. From 1922 to 1941 the light had a 6th order dioptric lens, showing a fixed red light, with a range of and was seasonal in operation, maintained from April to January. By October, 1961 the light had been electrified and automated, running off a 6 volt battery system (5 large single cells) equipped with a flasher and a sun switch to turn the light on and off, maintained by a caretaker.

In 2011, the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) found two rare coral reef fish in the sea of Lamalera, they were Yellow-fin fairy wrasse (Cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis) and Swallowtail hawkfish (Cyprinocirrhites polyactis), which only exist in waters surrounding Indonesia and the Philippines. The two species were the first to be found in Lamalera Sea, but similar types have been found near Bali before. The fish were only found in seas with good coral reefs, although traces of bombing had been found around the coral reefs in the Lamalera Sea, but it was not serious yet. In 2016, a new species of flasher wrasse, Paracheilinus Alfiani, was described from a holotype collected from the reef around Lembata.

In addition to attaching a lure to the fishing line, an oval piece of metal or plastic (often hammered or curved for reflective purposes) called a dodger or flasher is often used to attract fish from greater distances. The types of lures used to troll with using dowriggers range from metal "spoons" that are often decorated using color tape or paint, plastic or rubber "squids", tinsel beaded flies, or painted plastic J-plugs. Kilian's wife, Daisy Johnson, to whom he had been married for 46 years, died in 1961. In 1979, Kilian appeared in an episode of All in the Family, "The Return of Stephanie's Father", portraying a desk clerk in a seedy hotel. In the same episode, fellow veteran Hollywood character actor Charles Wagenheim (1896-1979) appeared as a bum in the hotel’s lobby. Just weeks before the episode aired, on March 6, 1979 (Kilian’s birthday), the 83 year-old Wagenheim was bludgeoned to death in his Hollywood apartment after he was surprised coming home from grocery shopping during an act of robbery.

The advent of miniature lights found the adaptation of twinkle bulbs as flasher bulbs, which interrupt the entire series circuit of anywhere from 10 to 50 bulbs when powered from 120-volt mains electricity (in North America). These are easily recognizable by their red tips on an otherwise unpainted clear white bulb, and are available in the different voltages required for 10, 20, 35/70, and 50/100/150/200-light sets. Some older mini- light sets interlaced two circuits, putting all of the odd-numbered bulbs on one and the even-numbered ones on the other, allowing some lights to remain on while others between them blinked off. When Betty signs up for a summer timeshare with her garrulous mate, Trudy, she is in need of peace and quiet to contrast her stressful life as a single, city-dwelling young woman of the '90s. Tranquility ceases, alas, within moments of her arrival at the beach house by way of Trudy's broken promise to “not talk too much;” a sudden, inexplicable laugh track from an unknown source; and the arrival of the other guests: (1) Keith, a shy, bisexual serial killer who maintains a collection of body parts and hat boxes; (2) Mrs. Siezmagraff, the landlady and, apparently, Trudy's mother, who, apparently, responded with jealousy when Trudy was apparently serially molested by the alcoholic, wife-beating, recently deceased Mr. Siezmagraff; (3) Buck, an unashamedly horny frat-like lout; and finally (4) Mr. Vanislaw, a flasher befriended by Mrs. Siezmagraff after a recent fitting-room photography incident.

A van version, based on the estate and called the Bedford Chevanne, was also built, and badged as part of GM's Bedford commercial vehicles marque. Although the Chevette was essentially a rebranded Opel Kadett C with revised front-end (detailed below), it used the 1,256-cc overhead valve (OHV) engine from the Viva HC instead of the Kadett's 1,196-cc engines, which were produced by Opel. The Kadett's double wishbone front suspension, rear- wheel drive, and rear suspension with panhard rod, torque tube, and coil- sprung live axle, were carried over unaltered. Inside, the two cars differed only in terms of their dashboard and switchgear; the Chevette stuck to the British and Japanese right-hand drive tradition of having the indicator switch on the right side of the steering column, while the Kadett had the mainland European left-hand drive custom of the flasher stalk being on the left.

Bachman was replaced by two Winnipeg guitarists: Kurt Winter, from the band Brother, and Greg Leskiw from the band Wild Rice. Winter became a songwriting collaborator with Cummings. The Guess Who recorded in Chicago, and continued to produce hit singles, including "Hand Me Down World", "Share the Land", "Hang on to Your Life", "Albert Flasher", and "Rain Dance". The albums Share the Land (October 1970) and The Best of The Guess Who (April 1971) also achieved gold status for the band. On July 17, 1970, the band was invited to perform at the White House for the Nixon family and its guests, but they were asked to eliminate “American Woman” (due to political interpretations of the lyrics) from their setlist as a “matter of taste”. The group began to experiment with looser and more progressive stylings; their next releases, So Long, Bannatyne in July 1971, and Rockin' in early 1972, showed a decline in sales.

A five-door hatchback was first released in January 1989, and was followed by the introduction of a three-door "GS" hatchback in September 1990. An ordering mix-up meant that (right hand drive) NZ versions – now imported assembled from Japan – received the North American Geo tail lamp cluster with red flashing direction indicators rather than the Suzuki style cluster with amber flasher sent to Australia. Luckily for GM NZ, NZ law still allowed amber or red so the red lenses remained for the entire MH series run.

With a budget of A£18,000 allocated for the project in 1897, the narrow ridge of Cape Byron was cleared and levelled for the construction of the lighthouse, keepers cottages and associated structures in October 1899. Having cleared an access road to the site, a 40-strong workforce completed the lightstation precinct for its formal opening by the NSW Premier, John See on 1 December 1901. Having been fitted with a Henry-Lepaute feu eclair lightning flasher lens system on a mercury float mechanism with the light visible for , it was reported in newspapers of the time that there was not a finer station, nor one more picturesquely sited in NSW than the Cape Byron Lightstation. The Cape Byron Lightstation was initially manned by a Head Keeper and two Assistant Keepers, who lived on the lightstation with their respective families, but after control of lighthouses in NSW was transferred to the Australian Government in 1915, lightstations were gradually but progressively automated and demanned.

The running gear and most other components stayed the same from the XM through to the XP. All of the utility, sedan delivery, and taxi/police kit vehicles had five-lug 13-inch wheels and larger 10-inch drum brakes, as had all previous commercial models. Commercials had always had lower-ratio differentials (4.00:1) and larger 6.70 x 13 tyres. The high-end Fairmonts, which were released by Ford Australia as a means of competing with Holdens Premier came with 14-inch four- lug wheels to accommodate the standard disc brakes on this model, whereas other models had 13-inch wheels if disc brakes were not optioned. Both Fairmonts and Futuras (including Futura hardtops) featured bucket seats, however only the Futura models had a center console, The 200 ci Super Pursuit engine initially in four-main bearing form and finally with the imported seven-main bearing unit, three-speed automatic transmission, and a padded dash along with carpets, perforated, colour-matched headlining, blower heater, screen washers, chrome-plated interior mirror, seven interior door-operated lights, and a handbrake on warning light flasher as standard.
