In the case of "first fingers" this is probably a good thing.

Both male and female Amolops hongkongensis grow to a snout–vent length of . Tadpoles are up to in length. The diameter of its suction discs is 3-4 times the width of the fingers. It contains the tarsal fold and has white velvety nuptial pads on the first fingers.

It possesses vomerine teeth with two slightly oblique oval groups just behind the level of the rear edge of the choanae. The males of the species lack vocal sacs. The first fingers of the forelimbs extend slightly beyond the second. At the ventral surface of each joint are well-developed tubercles and there is a single oval tubercle along the inner metatarsals.

The skin on their flanks and thighs is smooth, and the posterior part of their tongues is forked and free. They have horizontal pupils, their feet are partially webbed, and their back legs are shorter than those of other species of frogs. The males are different from the females because of the nuptial pads on their first fingers and their paired guttural vocal sacs.

Memoirs of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Academia Sinica 11: 45–52 [Chinese] The holotype, IVPP V4025, was found in layers of the Lianmuqin Formation dating from the Barremian–Albian. It consists of a partial skeleton including four partial tail vertebrae, much of the left leg and part of the right, the first fingers of both hands, and a rib.

The first fingers were large, being both longer and thicker than either of the bones of the forearm. The teeth differed slightly (they were heterodont) based on position: those near the tips of the upper jaws (on the premaxillae) were slender and lacked serrations, while those behind them (on the maxillae) were serrated and laterally compressed. The teeth of the lower jaws were similarly differentiated. A pigmented area in the abdomen of the holotype has been suggested as possible traces of organs, and was interpreted as the liver by John Ruben and colleagues, which they described as part of a crocodilian-like "hepatic piston" respiratory system.

Note that the fingers shown here are not interlaced normally (with all ten fingers showing from the top), but interlaced as in finger rafting (with only five fingers visible from either the top or bottom). Whereby the first finger in one hand overlies the same finger in the other hand), the second finger in one hand underlies the second finger in the other hand, the third fingers do as the first fingers, etc. Finger rafting develops in an ice cover as a result of a compression regime established within the plane of the ice. As two expanses of sea ice converge toward another, one of them slides smoothly on top of the other (it is overthrusted) along a given distance, resulting in a local increase in ice thickness.

450px 450px 450px Nocturne in E major, Op. 62, No. 2 is a reflective and contrapuntally engaging nocturne and is a fine example of the refinement and contrapuntal richness of Chopin's later works. The nocturne's thematic structure (ABCAB) consists of a simple and slow primary theme in E major, followed by a thoughtful and more quickly moving secondary melodic theme with climbing bass runs. This leads to the agitated, loud, and contrapuntal third section in C# minor, which has melodic interplay between the LH and the RH top 3 fingers, with the RH thumb and first fingers largely playing accompaniment. After this agitated section, Chopin returns to the first and second themes via a dissonant F major arpeggio with a D# in the bass, leading to a B in the bass, the echoing of the initial bars of the piece, and the return to E major.
