Nancy and Lorna were the daughters of Topsy Garamanak (1900-1974), the senior Larrakia/Wulna ceremony woman who conducted ceremony across the Top End. Topsy was the daughter of Larrakia ancestor Blanchie and Wulna ancestor Finity (Pinity) Yunupingu, who had direct family links to the Yunupingu clan from Yirrkala, Northern Territory. Descendants of Nancy Browne and Lorna Talbot are Larrakia/Wulna. Joan Kenyon born 1944 in Humpty Doo, is the daughter of Hilda Gunmanga (born 1910).

Anantashayi Vishnu, also known as Anantashayana Vishnu (both literally "sleeping on the serpent Ananta"), is a symbolic representation of the cosmic balance of finity within infinity. In 2017, the cinema closed for a major refurbishment at a cost of £6.6m, reopening on 10 July 2017, with new finishes in all auditoria and public areas, and larger luxury auditorium seating installed with a commensurate reduction in seating capacity to a total of 1388. The architect was UNICK Architects, with the foyer, 1st floor bar area and new frontage details by Brinkworth Design, and auditoria largely fitted out by (or on behalf of) Eomac, the walls primarily being covered with stretched fabric over acoustic absorption and acoustic carpet. Proscenium details and tabs have been retained. Sony 4K projection is installed throughout, with dual Sony FINITY SRX-R515DS projectors, a product Sony markets for premium large format cinemas, in the two main auditoria, Screens 5 and 7; and Sony SRX-R320 projectors elsewhere.

After the fall of the Republic of Venice in 1796, every city in Veneto created its own form of art. Important was, however, the role of Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, who was able to attract many young artists from the surrounding territory. Among the many artists which were important in modern ages were Guglielmo Ciardi, who incorporated the experience of macchiaioli movement, uniting the typical colour of the classic Venetian school, and yet bringing out from his paintings a chromatic essence, Giacomo Favretto, who too as Ciardi, enhanced the colour, which was sometimes very pronounced, painter Frederick Zandomeneghi, who deviates from the tradition of Venetian colouring to venture in a style similar to French impressionism, and finally Luigi Nono, whose works feel realistic, even if, in addition to painting genre scenes, includes portraits of finity for psychological enhancement.

Many authors read at Dogtown, including Steven "Jesse" Bernstein, a multi-published legend who toured with punk groups and recorded albums on the same SubPop label that brought Nirvana to the world. Other poets who contributed heavily to the rich aural adventure of Dogtown and went on to future writing of note were Charlie Burks, Charlie Burks, the coordinator of the first Bumbershoot Writers in Performance Competition in 1981, Britt Robson, Hans Skott-Myre, Linton Robinson, Cliff Finity, and Don Wilsun, who founding the Red Sky Poetry Theatre in continuance of the Dogtown tradition. Dogtown's impact lingered, but its performances only took place for a little over a year, from 1975 to 1976. The material presented there was as eclectic as is possible to get: wino blitherings, romance poems by starry-eyed ingénues, strict academic forms, and performance art (such as playing recordings of conversations in Market bars while passing around samples of trash and cigarette butts gleaned from the tables where they were taped).
