Her birthplace inspired an Egyptian collection by Hemmerle in 2012, and, in October, the house will present a second anniversary collection based on its hoard of ancient Egyptian faiences, at the art and jewelry event Tefaf New York Fall.

These include Suzanne Ramié's brightly yellow, glazed ceramics from the mid-1950s made in Vallauris, pastis-maker Paul Ricard's yellow marketing products, Gaetano Pesce's large platter "Old Port Yellow" (1992) and Martin Szekely's sleek "Cold Yellow Vase" (1988) mixed with 53th-century faiences from Marseille.

"One-Track Mind: Drawing the New York Subway" (Princeton Architectural Press) is the perfect companion for preoccupied New Yorkers who overlook the faiences, terra-cotta mosaics and other gewgaws originally inspired by the City Beautiful movement, and nowadays a productive diversion for riders impatiently awaiting overdue trains.

Other collections include Faiences made in Delft, glass and sea shells. The palace chapel features three important works of art: an Italian Lamentation of Christ (17th century), a Man of Sorrows from Spain (ca. 1730) and a late-Gothic Mother of God.

The Baroque era is represented by faiences from Delft, and glass items. There is also European porcelain (particularly from Meissen and the Royal Manufacturer of Berlin), and decorative crockery from the rococo, classicist, historicist and Art Nouveau styles. The "New Collection" of 20th century craftwork includes industrially-manufactured products.

Objects held include French and Flemish paintings, furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, a major collection of pharmaceutical faiences, textiles, and medical instruments. About 8% of these items are presented in permanent exhibits, with rotating temporary exhibits that include loans from other museums. In 2002, an apothecary garden of 65 medicinal plants was created in the museum's courtyard.

In their place, a park around Friedenstein and a boulevard around the city were established. Some important scientific institutions were the ducal library (today's Forschungsbibliothek Gotha as part of the University of Erfurt), founded in 1650, the "coin cabinet" (1712), the "art and natural collection", basis of today's museums, and the Gotha Observatory at Seeberg mountain, established 1788. The Gotha porcelain manufactory (established in 1767) was famous around 1800 for their faiences. In 1774, the actor group led by Conrad (or Konrad) Ekhof, called "the father of German acting", came from Weimar to Gotha.

As a result, Persia became a centre of revival under the Seljuk rule (1038–1327). This is not coincidental as the Seljuks expanded their rule over Persia, Iraq, Syria, and Palestine, as well as Anatolia and Muslim Asia Minor.

In the 17th century Nevers was then a pioneer in imitating Asian ceramic styles in Europe, within some decades followed by all producers of fine wares. The second half of the 17th century was Nevers' finest period, with several styles being made at the same time, including a grandiose Italianate Court style.McNab, 12, 18, 20–21; Chaffers, 150; V&A;, Nevers Jardiniere By the time of the French Revolution Nevers wares had ceased to be fashionable and expensive,Garnier, 274–275 but the relatively crudely painted faiences patriotiques wares commenting on political events have great interest and charm.

The exhibitions in the former St. Catherine's Monastery address not only the history of the area and the history of the city, but also the handicraft of the region - here is the Hiddensee treasure - the Visual Arts - mainly paintings by Caspar David Friedrich as well as Philipp Otto Runge - as well as historical children's toys. Also on display are Faiences Stralsund Faience Factory and Paraments. In the "Historical Memory" of the museum, another exhibition building in the Böttcherstraße, the focus of the exhibition is on folklore Western Pomerania. Here, in particular, they devote themselves to regional traditions.
