The business was originally "throwsters", that is producers of yarn, but later specialised in weaving as in silk and crepe fabrics. George Courtauld and his cousin Peter Taylor (1790–1850) developed the business over two decades, but faced difficulties in the lean years following the end of the Napoleonic Wars, when competition from the Continent was restored. Initially, the NHC faced difficulties in forecasting the future of the system due to the potential for resumed strong wind shear, as well as uncertainty in its path of direction. After the war ended, less than 2,700 people of the pre-war Bosniak population of over 30,000 still lived in the municipality of Bijeljina (the town itself had 19,000 Bosniak inhabitants). The avalanche came down on at least four houses in the remote village, which has been struck by heavy snow storms in recent days. Bethel AME Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church at 220 Bell Street in Reno, Nevada. It has served as a hub for Reno's African American community since it was built in 1910 for early black settlers. In addition to its role as a religious and community center, it functioned as a resource center for black divorce seekers who faced difficulties in a segregated city during the middle decades of the twentieth century. In the 1960s, during the American civil rights movement, the church provided a meeting place for the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and other civil rights activists.

Rindisbacher emigrated from Switzerland to western Canada with his family when he was fifteen. The family was recruited by an agent of Red River Colony, established by the Earl of Selkirk, to settle the area located near present-day Winnipeg, Manitoba. Lord Selkirk's land grant, called Assiniboia, was administered by a governor and council but, as all the colony's officials had connections with the Hudson's Bay Company, the colony was effectively an arm of Hudson's Bay's operations. The colony faced difficulties due to a disastrous flood of the Red River, on the eastern boundary of North Dakota north to Lake Winnipeg, which led to damaged crops and starvation.

Early efforts to establish a permanent base there faced difficulties: there was little money, Our Lady of Ransom Church could not afford to lend any, there was anti-Catholic feeling in the town, and no premises could be found. Meanwhile, the Catholic resident of Upper Dicker moved to Hailsham and arranged for a visiting priest to celebrate Mass at her new home. The 4th Canadian Division faced difficulties at the start of the battle that forced it to delay its assault on the Pimple until 12 April. The Pimple was initially defended by the 16th Bavarian Infantry Division but the Canadian Corps' preliminary artillery bombardment leading up to the assault on 9 April caused heavy casualties amongst its ranks. On 11 April, the 4th Guards Infantry Division first reinforced and then relieved affected 16th Bavarian Infantry Division units. The night before the attack, artillery harassed German positions while a gas section of Royal Engineers, employing Livens Projectors, fired more than 40 drums of gas directly into the village of Givenchy-en-Gohelle to cause confusion.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote premiered on 19 May 2018, simultaneously acting as the closing film at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and being released in French theaters. Gilliam faced difficulties in the process of releasing the film worldwide, partially due to a lengthy legal dispute with former producer Paulo Branco. Subsequently, the film was only released in a few other countries, including Belgium, Spain and Portugal; it was released in the United States and Canada on 10 April 2019, and in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 31 January 2020.

Adolfo Barberis (1 June 1884 - 24 September 1967) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and the founder of the Sisters of Christian Servanthood. Barberis served as the assistant to the Archbishop of Turin from 1906 until the cardinal's death in 1923 at which point he worked for sometime as a professor. He did this while managing the functions of the religious congregation he established which he had dedicated to the education and care of domestic women. The consequences of World War I were enough to convince him to found an order to help women though he often faced difficulties in dealing with Cardinal Maurilio Fossati in the beginning of the latter's tenure as Archbishop of Turin.

Peasant disaffection was further fuelled by the requirement to feed the partisans amidst conditions of malnourishment and a general disruption of the agricultural production caused by the mounting hyperinflation and by the large-scale German anti-partisan sweeps (Säuberungen). These operations involved reprisals against the civilian population, following a July order of the commander of the LXVIII Corps, Hellmuth Felmy. In the Peloponnese, Le Suire carried these orders out with particular ruthlessness, particularly as the partisan threat mounted, resulting in the Kalavryta massacre in December.

Chandy came up with the idea for the documentary after listening to music created by "young, underground Pakistani musicians" and thinking that it could make a good basis for a film. Zia was brought into the film as Chandy felt that "Having a filmmaker based in Karachi to capture every development as it happened, and also providing an insider's perspective, was critical to the film's nuanced narrative". As king, Saluva Narasimha tried to expand the empire, though he continually faced difficulties caused from rebelling chieftains. By 1491, he lost Udayagiri to Gajapati Kapilendra of Orissa while the Chiefs of Ummattur in the Mysore region, Saluvas of Hadavalli and Santharas of Karkala from coastal Karnataka region, Srirangapatna and Sambetas of Peranipadu in Cuddapah still remained threats to the empire. Saluva Narasimha's war with the Gajapatis over Udayagiri in 1489 proved disastrous when he was taken prisoner and released later after giving up the fort and surrounding areas to the Gajapatis of Orissa.

The film's first screening in India at the India Habitat Center received this review from Tehelka magazine, 'Kumar’s camera catches the irony of Kashmir’s physical beauty, the claustrophobia of militarisation, the dread and hopelessness of children born into war and the nuances of relationships. One of the central concerns prior to the bailout was that the crisis could spread to several other countries after reducing confidence in other European economies. In July 2011 the UK Financial Policy Committee noted that "Market concerns remain over fiscal positions in a number of euro area countries and the potential for contagion to banking systems." Besides Ireland, with a government deficit in 2010 of 32.4% of GDP, and Portugal at 9.1%, other countries such as Spain with 9.2% are also at risk. The Compleat Housewife was a cookbook that proliferated in the Thirteen Colonies. When colonists arrived in America, they planted familiar crops from the Old World with varying degrees of success and raised domestic animals for meat, leather, and wool, as they had done in Britain. Seirei Christopher University began as the “Bethel Home”, a private tuberculosis sanatorium established in 1932 by local Japanese Christians in Hamamatsu. From the beginning, the sanatorium faced difficulties with finances and hostility from its neighbors due to prejudices against tuberculosis sufferers and followers of Christianity. Although the sanatorium raised funds to acquire land outside of the city by 1937, it continued to experience problems due to the increasingly totalitarian attitude of the pre- war Japanese government. An unexpected donation on Christmas Day, 1939, directly from Emperor Hirohito, resolved both its financial issues and problems with the local government. In the immediate postwar period, the sanatorium expanded into education by forming the “Enshū School of Christ”, the forerunner of both "Seirei Christopher High School" and "Seirei Christopher University" in 1949.

The ground stratum the Imazatosuji Line runs through is a "super-soft clay deposit", which is soft and has a high water content; in many instances, bulldozers were useless in excavating the soil.

The following year, Qamar collaborated with Mikaal Zulfiqar for the third time (alongside Zahid Ahmed, Kiran Haq, and Sonia Mishal) in Kashif Nisar's Sangat where she played a role of Aisha, a rape survivor who faced difficulties when her husband came to know that he was not the biological father of a daughter they have. The series earned her the nomination for Best Actress in both Jury and Popular categories at the Hum Awards. Qamar then made her acting debut with a leading actress in the acclaimed biographical drama Manto (2015). Directed by Sarmad Khoosat, the film was made on a big budget and performed poorly at the box office with a lifetime collection of Rs5.05 million, however it was critically praised and Qamar's portrayal of the singer Noor Jehan was well reveived by the critics, and earned her a nomination at the ARY Films Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

Stamping Harris Tweed with the Orb Mark The Harris Tweed Authority was established in 1993, replacing the Harris Tweed Association under the terms of the Harris Tweed Act 1993. In early 1990, the UK was reviewing its trade mark law with the intention of moving towards the single trade mark system for the whole European Community. The Harris Tweed Association had already faced difficulties presented by different trade mark laws in different countries, leaving the association concerned that the new trade mark laws could move direct control of their Orb Mark to the owners of the vested interests of the Harris Tweed companies. This move of control from an independent association to the commercial producers threatened an erosion of Harris Tweed's craft status and connection to the islands of the Outer Hebrides due to inevitable economic pressures to reduce costs and move production elsewhere.

On 26 August 1970 US ambassador Ellsworth Bunker informed President Richard Nixon that South Vietnam seemed to rely on the United States not only for military support but also for the basic economic commodities that sustained its life. Overwhelmingly dependent on imports, most of which were financed through US aid or American military purchases of piasters at a subsidized rate of exchange, it thus continued to procure more than $750 million in goods and services per year abroad while exporting at best $15 million in locally produced merchandise. The economy of South Vietnam faced difficulties caused by sudden decrease of demand as the US and its allies steadily reduced their armed forces from South Vietnam over the 1970-72 period. Budget deficit soared regardless of the fact that domestic budget revenues and the US aids increased while the government had to take responsibility for military actions on its own.

Battle of Nineveh In mid-September 627, Heraclius invaded the Iranian heartland in a surprising winter campaign, leaving Ziebel to continue the siege of Tiflis. Edward Luttwak describes the seasonal retreat of Heraclius for the winters of 624–626 followed by a change in 627 to threaten Ctesiphon as a "high-risk, relational maneuver on a theater-wide scale" because it habituated the Persians to strategically ineffective raids that caused them to decide not to recall border troops to defend the heartland. His army numbered between 25,000 and 50,000 Byzantine troops and 40,000 Göktürks that quickly deserted him because of the unfamiliar winter conditions and harassment from the Persians. He advanced quickly but was tailed by a Persian army under the Armenian Rhahzadh, who faced difficulties in provisioning his army due to the Byzantines taking most of the provisions as they moved south toward Assyria.

In the next year, he resolved to launch an expedition with the goal of seizing the Ferghana Valley, which had been lost during the unrest of the previous years. The campaign faced difficulties already in its early stages, when the news arrived of the accession of a new Caliph, Hisham ibn Abd al- Malik, and the appointment of a new governor of Iraq, Khalid al-Qasri. This brought the long-simmering tribal rivalries of the Arabs of Khurasan came to the fore: anticipating the immediate recall of al-Kilabi, the Yemeni (southern Arab) troops in Balkh refused to join the campaign, and had to be coerced by a force of Mudaris (northern Arabs) under Nasr ibn Sayyar, who clashed with them at Baruqan. The campaign eventually went ahead as Khalid al-Qasri wrote to al- Kilabi, urging him to proceed with it until his replacement, Khalid's brother Asad, arrived in Khurasan.

Objective financial data concerning nationalized businesses are seldom published, but Alfa Romeo is believed to have operated at a substantial loss for much of its time under state control: in 1986 Romano Prodi who was at the time chairman of the IRI (the government body responsible for nationalised industries in Italy), wishing to reduce the losses of the IRI, transferred Alfa Romeo to the private sector, which in Italy's mass market automobile business meant at this time Fiat. Since 1976 Fiat had been developing its own Brazilian operation, based in Betim. The Brazilian-based car business that had formerly comprised FNM was accordingly integrated into Fiat's own Brazilian operation, and in 1988 the FNM badged commercial vehicles - already produced by a Fiat owned business since Alfa Romeo sold the business in 1973 - were rebadged as Iveco products.

Griffin Coal Mine is a large mine near the town of Collie in Western Australia, producing about 5 mn tons of coal annually. In January 2011, the firm defaulted on debts of A$475 mn, and sought outside buyers. Two months later, it was acquired by the Indian firm Lanco Infratech for A$730 mn. The logic of the purchase has been questioned in the business media, as the company has faced difficulties and has been forced to defer pension and other payments to suppliers. “No winding-up order has been issued” against Griffin Coal Mining, A. Narasimhan, a spokesman for Lanco, said in an e-mail. “We are confident that there is no basis for winding up and that the matter with the Australian Taxation Office will be resolved as soon as possible.” The mine was in operation in the 1930s and was a supplier of coal to the Western Australian Government Railways, in competition with Newcastle Coal.

In October 2017, the set design team was sent to Bahia in search for small villages with preserved natural beauty to be the backdrop of the first phase. Despite the synopsis of the first phase set in Boipeba in Cairu, the production crew decided not use it due lack of infrastructure to carry the equipments, choosing to record the scenes in another city—Caraíva—but the team faced difficulties; the Municipal Environmental Council of Caraíva was against the recordings, fearing that exposing the place at national level could attract an exaggerated tourism and generate degradation of the natural ecosystem. In order to decide the impasse, the Council established a referendum, in which 88% of the village population voted against filming the show there. On 7 December 2017, it was announced that the recordings would take place in Trancoso, a village in Porto Seguro, which had already benefited from the tourism brought by the recording of the DVD, Acústico em Trancoso by Ivete Sangalo in 2016.

Following the 2014 European parliament elections, the Europe of Freedom and Democracy (EFD) group faced difficulties reforming for the 8th European Parliament, with various member parties and MEPs of the previous term's EFD either defecting to different parliamentary groups or failing to be re-elected. On 4 June 2014, the Danish People's Party (Denmark) and Finns Party (Finland) were admitted into the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and therefore were no longer attached to the EFD. On 12 June 2014, the Five Star Movement (M5S) of Italy, having been rejected by the Greens/EFA and Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe groups, offered its activists a limited-choice online referendum to choose a European Parliament group for the party, in which 78% of participating activists voted for the EFD. On 16 June 2014, Dutch MEP Bas Belder of the Reformed Political Party (SGP) moved from the EFD to the ECR group.

In 1871, the German Empire was founded with Prussia being the leading and dominating state. The advent of the Kulturkampf marked a period, when the Prussian government attempted to Germanise the Poles through language, schooling, and religious restrictions. Later, the increase in the sheer numbers of Poles led the government to a direct anti-Polish demographic policy.Scott M. By 1885, Prussia still faced difficulties digesting her "Polish provinces", and the "Polish Question" was one of the Reich's most pressing problems.

In January of that year, however, it was announced that production had switched places with Éramos Seis, who would be its replacement, and would now premiere in the first half of 2020, since production faced difficulties in adapting the historical facts to the plot. Filming began in January 2020, using Chapada Diamantina, in Bahia, and cities in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, Barra do Piraí, Rio das Flores and Petrópolis, known as "City of Dom Pedro II", because it is one of the cities where the emperor had lived, including the former Imperial Palace. The city scenery was designed by scenographers Paula Salles and Paulo Renato and built in an area of 8,200 square meters, reproducing places in Rio de Janeiro such as Valongo Wharf, Rua do Ouvidor, Passeio Público and the old neighborhood of Pequena África, beyond the interior of the palace and houses. Most sets were reused from Novo Mundo.

The troupe prospered during the Azuchi–Momoyama period (1573–1603), with a critical factor for their success being the patronage of the daimyō Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537–1598), at a time when the leader of the Konparu school was Konparu Ansho (1549–1621), a retained actor of Toyotomi. During the late Edo period (1603–1868) the troupe faced difficulties and started to lose vitality, and during the Bakumatsu and the period of the Meiji Restoration in the late 19th century, many of the noh maks and other properties of the Konparu family were sold throughout Japan. In around 1868 this set of masks together with some other noh costumes and stage props were transferred to the Kasuga-taisha shrine in Nara. It was a group of ten volunteers in Nara, known collectively as Teirakusha, who dedicated themselves to preserve and protect them, purchasing many of the items and allowing the actors to continue using them.

However, ultimately the top two lists, in terms of number of votes received, featured candidates hailing from, and relying on clanship connections with, the Fujianese and Guangdong communities. Macau’s strong “association culture” that advantages such candidates was demonstrated clearly in this year’s elections with the win of ACUM’s pro-Beijing candidate, Chan Meng-kam, who is both a Fujianese community leader and a casino owner. He secured the highest number of votes at 26,385 (18% of the total), breaking a record in Macau by winning three seats from a single candidate list. Meanwhile, newer, pro-democrat candidates such as Jason Chao Teng-hei, a radical young candidate for New Macau Liberals faced difficulties winning out at the polls. Initially hoping to secure the youth vote, he was only able to get 3,227 votes in the face of the new restrictions on campaigning, ultimately resulting in a loss of one of the democrats’ three seats.

The Commission was established by the Economic and Social Council on 28 March 1947 in order to "Initiate and participate in measures for facilitating concerted action for the economic reconstruction of Europe," as well as to "maintain and strengthen the economic relations of the European countries, both among themselves and with other countries of the world." It was established at the request of the United Nations General Assembly who called on the Economic and Social Council to create the Commission, as well as the Commission for Asia and the Far East, in order to "give effective aid to countries devastated by war." As the Commission was established towards the beginning of the Cold War, it faced difficulties in achieving its mandate of economic reconstruction of Europe due to the Iron Curtain. The work of the Commission had to concern itself only with questions that were of common interest to East and West, as to not cause confrontation.

The central document in the Forcade family's claim to nobility is a copy of the 1505 testament from Noble Jean I. de Forcade naming his four sons as his heirs. In each case, the problems originated with branch members who could demonstrate their lineage from their branch's earliest verifiable author, but they faced difficulties proving the earliest verifiable author's lineage from one of the four sons named in the testament. The problem for each branch was further complicated by the fact that their direct ancestor, invariably named as Jean de Forcade, in the line between the four sons named in the testament and their branch author, had been stripped of his nobility for a dérogeance committed in the early 17th century.
