Barthram began his career with Tottenham Hotspur, joining from non-league club Buckhurst Hill, and after progressing the club's youth system, he signed his first professional contract in July 2012. However, in June 2013, Barthram was released by the club. Weeks after being released by Tottenham Hotspur, Barthram joined Swindon Town on 25 June 2013, signing a one-year contract, with an option to extend. Upon joining the club, he was given number twenty-three shirt ahead of the new season. He made his professional debut in a 1–0 victory against Torquay United on 6 August 2013 in the Football League Cup.

Initially conceptualized with the intention of being a horror game, Mega Man Battle Network was developed by Capcom Production Studio 2 amidst the success of Nintendo's portable RPG franchise Pokémon. Rather than extend upon the traditional action-platform formula for the Mega Man series as they had done with the 3D Mega Man Legends, Capcom followed Nintendo's example on the latter's then-newest handheld console, the GBA. While creating Battle Network, director Masahiro Yasuma found difficulty in blending action attributes with "the kind of fun you get from a Pokémon game" in order to make it enjoyable, new, and fresh. Yasuma recalled that production was further challenged because no effective precursor of its type had been made before.

The National Invasive Species Act (NISA) is a United States federal law intended to prevent invasive species from entering inland waters through ballast water carried by ships. NISA reauthorized and amended a previous measure, the Non-indigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act of 1990 (NANPCA). Organisms targeted by NISA are categorized as aquatic nuisance species, including in particular zebra mussels and Eurasian ruffe. To extend upon NANPCA, NISA authorizes regulation of ballast water, a key factor in the spread of aquatic invasive species; funding for prevention and control research; regional involvement with the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force; and education and technical assistance programs to promote compliance with the new regulations.

On 8 June 2015, Losada joined Beerschot Wilrijk in the Belgian First Division B, signing a two–year contract with an option to extend. Upon joining the club for the third time, he said that he turned down clubs from Qatar, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Thailand in favour of returning to Beerschot Wilrijk. Losada made his debut for Beerschot Wilrijk debut in the opening game of the season on 12 August 2015 against R. Cappellen, starting the whole game, in a 3–1 win. This was followed up by scoring his first goal for the club on 26 August 2015, in a 2–1 win over Diegem Sport and then scoring twice three days later on 29 August 2015, in a 3–2 win over Tempo Overijse.

Outside the Miltian Conflict, Helmer's most significant roles include careful handling of the aforementioned "framing incident", the arrangement of saving Shion and her allies on numerous occasions, and many other political matters seen in the series. Helmer also seems to have extensive knowledge of the wave existence known as "U-DO" that may extend upon what happened at Miltia. Helmer appears very briefly in Episode III, though never in person in the game. He is seen during the Planetary Disappearance Phenomenon, where he gives an update on the situation to Jr. and the party and says a quick but meaningful good bye before the Durandal loses the signal from Second Miltia and shown to be alive in the ending, communicating with Mary and Shelley on the Elsa.
