As someone who lived through the intoxication of the 1848 revolution, only to see his hopes crushed, and who supported the cause of Polish freedom in the uprising of 1863, only to be execrated by Russian friends who turned into anti-Polish xenophobes, he wrote with poignant insight about a perennial theme in politics: how to sustain political hope when your dreams are repeatedly shattered.

John Hunter Gowan II was execrated for his brutality as a magistrate and commander of the Wingfield Yeomanry (the "Black Mob") in 1798. The group was responsible for a 'reign of terror' on the resident Catholic peasantry in an era of widespread anti-Catholic persecution. > 'The people of Co Wicklow and north Co Wexford became convinced that they > were all going to be slaughtered. This impression was reinforced by the > activities of a group of loyalists known as the Black Mob, led by the > notorious Hunter Gowan.

Leonor Teles (or Teles de Meneses) () was queen consort of Portugal by marriage to King Ferdinand I, and one of the protagonists, along with her brothers and her daughter Beatrice, of the events that led to the succession crisis of 1383–1385, which culminated in the defeat of her son-in-law King John I of Castile and his armies in the Battle of Aljubarrota. Called "the Treacherous" (a Aleivosa in Portuguese) by her subjects, who execrated her on account of her adultery and treason to her native country, she was dubbed by the historian Alexandre Herculano as "the Portuguese Lucrezia Borgia".

The fast-flowing river was wide in places, and attempts to find a spot where it could be forded proved futile. The voyageurs, according to Richardson, "bitterly execrated their folly in breaking the canoe" and became "careless and disobedient... [and] ceased to dread punishment or hope for reward." One of them, Juninus, slipped away, perhaps hoping to reach safety by himself, and never returned. Richardson himself risked his life trying to swim across the river with a line tied around his waist, but losing the feeling in his limbs he sank to the riverbed and had to be hauled back.

On 10 September 1774, he was bedridden and received Extreme Unction on 21 September 1774. It is said that St. Alphonsus Liguori assisted Clement XIV in his last hours by the gift of Bilocation. Clement XIV died on 22 September 1774, execrated by the Ultramontane party but widely mourned by his subjects for his popular administration of the Papal States. When his body was opened for the autopsy, the doctors ascribed his death to scorbutic and hemorrhoidal dispositions of long standing that were aggravated by excessive labour and the habit of provoking artificial perspiration even in the greatest heat.

Early Christian writers such as Eusebius (from nearby Caesarea) repeatedly execrated the practices of the local pagans in their worship of the Heliopolitan Venus. In 297, the actor Gelasinus converted in the middle of a scene mocking baptism; his public profession of faith provoked the audience to drag him from the theater and stone him to death. In the early 4th century, the deacon Cyril defaced many of the idols in Heliopolis; he was killed and (allegedly) cannibalised. Around the same time, Constantine, though not yet a Christian, demolished the goddess' temple, raised a basilica in its place, and outlawed the locals' ancient custom of prostituting women before marriage.

In January 1794, he definitely abandons his cleric status to marry the widow of his co-disciple and friend Pierre Hélène Tondu, executed in late December 1793 under orders of Robespierre, this latter himself onetime pupil at Louis-le-Grand like Tondu and Champagne, and who execrated Tondu.Charles Reybaud, Mémoires authentiques de Maximilien de Robespierre, Bruxelles, L. Together with the widow, he takes on the charge of the six children of Tondu, whoo had entrusted them unto his care in a letter written a few hours before being sent to the guillotine, all boys of whom will be educated in that same Louis-le-Grand where they have then taken their abode with their father- in-law.

On top of their iconoclastic weave of musical styles, the Daddies became both celebrated and execrated for their notoriously bombastic and salacious stage shows. With the band members donning a rotating array of flamboyant costumes, a typical Daddies performance would feature such antics as go-go dancers, phallic stage scenery, prop-heavy vaudevillian skits or even choreographed dance numbers. Perry — then performing under his mad scientist stage persona of "MC Large Drink" — would regularly engage in absurdist shock rock stunts, such as mock crucifixion and flag burning. The most renowned element of the Daddies' early stage shows, however, was the "Dildorado" (alternately, "The Dildozer"), a penis-shaped modified ride-on lawnmower which mimicked ejaculation by shooting salvos of colorful fluids from its tip.

Of all the manuscripts this is probably the most neglected as it has acquired a disagreeable reputation. Sodhi Miharban who gives his name to the janam-sakhi was closely associated with the Mina sect and the Minas were very hostile towards the Gurus around the period of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The Minas were the followers of Prithi Chand the eldest son of Guru Ram Das Ji. Prithi Chand's behaviour was evidently unsatisfactory as he was passed over in favour of his younger brother, (Guru) Arjan Dev, when his father chose a successor. The Minas were a robber tribe and in Punjabi the word has come to mean someone who conceals his true evil intent. The Minas were subsequently execrated by Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Sikhs were instructed to have no dealings with them.
