He also appeared in the music video "Father of Mine" by Everclear as the little boy whose father walks out on his family. He has appeared in 2011 as a pink elf in the T-Mobile holiday commercial and in 2012 in a dog costume for an Old Spice commercial.
Everclear is an American rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1991. The band was formed by Art Alexakis, the band's lead songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist; and for most of the band's height of popularity, consisted of Craig Montoya on bass guitar and Greg Eklund on drums. After the limited release of their independently released debut album, World of Noise, the band found success with their first three albums on Capitol Records: Sparkle and Fade, So Much for the Afterglow, and Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile, which were all certified platinum in sales.
In time they came up with a method for distilling a corn mash with added sugar and aging in charred barrels made of select hardwoods, which created a whiskey with a high proof. This gave birth to American whiskey and Kentucky bourbon, and its cousins moonshine and Everclear. Closer to the coast, 18th-century recipes for English trifle turned into tipsy cakes, replacing the sherry with whiskey and their recipe for pound cake, brought to the South around the same time, still works with American baking units: 1 pound sugar, one pound eggs, one pound butter, one pound flour.
Jebediah's first single, "Jerks of Attention", was released in December 1996 and appeared on the ARIA Singles Chart top 100 in the following month. It received national airplay on the Triple J radio network. The group's appearances at Homebake and the Big Day Out concerts as well as support slots for Soundgarden, Everclear, The Presidents of the United States of America, Silverchair and You Am I, further raised their public profile. Another single, "Leaving Home", was issued in June and reached the top 50. The group won two WAMi awards in 1997: Most Popular Band and Most Popular Song for "Jerks of Attention".
They switched to a smaller, independent label called Thick Records and released Feeling You Up in 1997. Greg Prato of AllMusic gave Feeling You Up four stars, calling it "an incredibly solid album, which easily could have fit into MTV and rock radio play lists at the time, if both outlets weren't so obsessed with Limp Bizkit and Everclear." The band toured briefly in support of Feeling You Up in the U.S. but had to cancel halfway through as Roth said Pickerel had some personal issues to take care of and the band broke up shortly afterward.
Everclear is a brand name of rectified spirit (also known as grain alcohol and neutral spirit) produced by the American company Luxco (formerly known as the David Sherman Corporation). It is made from grain and is bottled at 60%, 75.5%, 94.5% and 95% alcohol by volume (120, 151, 189, and 190 U.S. proof respectively). Due to its market prevalence and high alcohol content, the product has become iconic, with a "notorious reputation" in popular culture. Sale of the 190-proof variation is prohibited in some states, which led Luxco to start selling the 189-proof version.
Pop punk also becomes popular with such artists as Green Day, Blink-182, Weezer, Social Distortion, the Offspring, Bad Religion, NOFX and Rancid. Other successful alternative acts included Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Nickelback, Creed, Radiohead, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, Third Eye Blind, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More, the Smashing Pumpkins, Live, Everclear, Bush, Screaming Trees and Ween. Dr. Dre's 1992 album The Chronic provided a template for modern gangsta rap. Due to the success of Death Row Records, West Coast gangsta rap commercially dominated hip hop during the early 1990s, along with the Notorious B.I.G. on the East Coast.
1994 saw the release of "Valentine Kid's Litter", a full-length LP/CD culled from various demo recordings done in 1993. While the sound was a bit dated on the LP, it did give fans something more than split singles, and one-off compilation tracks to listen to. Jon Procopio left the band in summer 1994 and was replaced with Mike O'Keefe on guitar. Dahlia Seed played extensively in 1994 and early 1995, with such varied acts as Archers of Loaf, Everclear, Built to Spill, Texas is the Reason, Avail, Los Crudos, Heavens to Betsy, etc.
On June 20, 1991, Shaw shot himself during an argument with his girlfriend, losing his right eye in the process; he had been under the influence of Everclear grain alcohol and PCP. The aftermath of the incident was documented on the album cover for Geto Boys' 1991 album We Can't Be Stopped, which shows Shaw being pushed through the hospital on a gurney by bandmates Willie D and Scarface. Shaw claimed he "died and came back to life" during the incident, and he made reference to it in his music. In 2006, he became a born-again Christian.
After Jaded Era disbanded, Kira and Jeff headed to the Leyden family basement, where they set up a studio and started writing songs that would become the foundation of The Strange Familiar. After months of performing around town and experimenting with new sounds, they recruited bass player, Frank Freeman, who had also parted ways with his band. The three of them made a bold move to Los Angeles where a combination of good fortune and hard work began opening doors for them. One of the good happenings was a meeting with producer/record label exec Brian Malouf who has worked with Everclear, Pearl Jam, and Michael Jackson.
His photographs have been featured on more than 160 albums since the mid-1990s, covering artists including Brooks & Dunn, Iggy Pop, Nine Inch Nails, Kelly Clarkson, Stone Temple Pilots, John Mayer, Fishbone, Nickelback, Korn, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Three Days Grace, Primus, Alanis Morissette, Arctic Monkeys, Everclear, Hootie & the Blowfish, Rascal Flatts, and others. He directed a documentary of the Stone Temple Pilots, working with his sister Rebecca Baehler. He also directed two music videos for STP: "Revolution" and "Hello, it's late." Two other music videos directed by Chapman were "Someones In The Wolf" and "Burn the Witch" featuring the Queens of the Stone Age.
Kennedy was born as Myles Richard Bass on November 27, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, and subsequently lived in Northern Idaho. As a child, he moved to Spokane, Washington, where he grew up in a Christian Science family on a farm. His father, Richard Bass, died when he was four years old and his mother subsequently went on to marry a Methodist minister, and the family took the surname Kennedy. Before Kennedy attended Mead High School (which he attended with football player Jason Hanson and Everclear bassist Craig Montoya), he found musical inspiration from Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and John Sykes' Blue Murder band.
It was designed to promote college spirit through student organization participation with activities and entertainment throughout the day, culminating with a free concert and fireworks at night. The event was free to all students and guests and was funded as part of an elected programming fee paid by all students as part of tuition. Amphetamine has influenced the aesthetics of many rock and roll bands (especially in the garage rock, mod R&B;, death rock, punk/hardcore, gothic rock and extreme metal genres). Hüsker Dü, Jesus and Mary Chain and The Who were keen amphetamine users in their early existences. Hollywood Undead references the negative effects of substituted amphetamines in the song "City" from their album Swan Songs.
After a full year of recording 11 songs, the band hired Nick Brophy for mixing and mastering in Nashville, Tennessee. Brophy has mixed albums for Everclear, Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, and Hootie and the Blowfish. After several weeks working with Brophy, the band released their self-produced debut album at Stubb's in Austin, Texas on January 31, 2007. Rob Schilz, drummer for Dexter Freebish, was recruited to play drums for the CD release and would perform with Live Oak Decline several more times, including a live performance on ME TV. Watson eventually took over drums while still singing lead, and has performed this way since.
"You Go Your Way" also won the Vox Pop award, determined by fan voting, for best folk/singer-songwriter album. The single, "Love Changes Everything" won the Vox Pop award for best love song. The Blind Pig catered to the budding music community, and indeed fostered many of the local bands. Live music was featured 5 nights a week, and grunge and indy rock bands like the Afghan Whigs, Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair, Pavement and Everclear performed there on numerous occasions. Blues legends like Luther Allison, Ronnie and Lonnie Brooks, Otis Clay and Robert Cotton were also featured, as were international acts like I.K. Dairo, Diblo Diballa, the Five Blind Boys, Malathini and the Mohatella Queens, and Tabuley Rochereau. The Blind Pig closed as a music venue in 1998, but re-opened as a craft beer bar in 2004, and a microbrewery in 2009.

He started skating in about 1983, and grew up skating with such other local Florida pros as Rodney Mullen and Mike McGill.
Everclear lead singer Art Alexakis explained during an interview with Spin magazine that he first wrote and performed the song—originally titled "Colorblind"—while he was working with his third music project, Colorfinger, but it did not appear on their sole album, Deep in the Heart of the Beast in the Sun. Alexakis explained the song is "just embracing the value of love and passion — your heart." The lyrics of the song describe an interracial relationship that no one approves. In the Spin interview, Alexakis revealed that when he was young, he dated women of many races, including black women, Asian women, and a Jewish girl.
This pure grain alcohol, also known as rectified spirit, neutral spirit, or ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin is also available directly to consumers in some areas, as products such as Everclear, Polmos spirits rektyfikowany, and others. In contrast to very-high ABV vodkas such as the Bulgarian Balkan 176° with 88% ABV, these grain alcohol products are not considered vodka; they have not (yet) gone through the filtration and refining process used to produce vodka. A study conducted on NPR's Planet Money podcast revealed negligible differences in taste between various brands of vodka, leading to speculation as to how much branding contributes to the concept of "super-premium vodkas".
The final song on "Lite" was "Far Away" by Nickelback, while the first song on the "Lake" was "Father of Mine" by Everclear. Lite 102.9 Becomes The Lake Steve Geofferies, operations manager for the Charlotte cluster of station owner Clear Channel, said, "If it was a hit song, we’re going to play it," explaining that the format was based on WARH in St. Louis, and more "tempo-oriented" than nearby WSMW. The name "Lake" meant "fun, unique, connecting with friends and families. That’s life on the lake," specifically Lake Norman and Lake Wylie. The playlist was 4000 songs compared to 400 for a typical station.
They were discovered two weeks later, dead, at the bottom of a ravine near Hot Springs, Arkansas, hundreds of miles off their intended route. Scalzo chose to imagine that they began reminiscing and decided to become ethereal beings on a permanent romantic trip, the answer to the song's question, "Where were they going without ever knowing the way?" Fastball followed up "The Way" with a second single "Fire Escape" and a third single, "Out of My Head", which reached the top ten on Billboard's Top 40 chart and was a top ten hit on the Adult Top 40 chart for 29 weeks. The album's promotional tour featured Marcy Playground and Everclear, after which Fastball moved to the H.O.R.D.E. tour.
While preparing for its next album, Bracket toured the United States with a variety of acts including NOFX, SNFU, Tilt, the Smoking Popes, MxPx and Everclear. In March 1997, their cover of "867-5309/Jenny" appeared on Before You Were Punk, a tribute album for Vagrant Records. Having already traveled throughout the US, Canada and Europe, the band visited Japan for performances with Husking Bee and Sprocket Wheel in July 1997. Although Bracket had been issuing vinyl on Fat Wreck Chords since 1994, their first studio album for the label didn't transpire until the September 1997 release of Novelty Forever, co-produced by Ryan Greene and Fat Mike at Motor Studios in San Francisco.
Triple Fast Action was one of many Chicago area acts signed to Capitol Records during the multi-year label frenzy that also snatched up the Smashing Pumpkins, Smoking Popes, Fig Dish, Loud Lucy, Veruca Salt, Red Red Meat, Certain Distant Suns, Liz Phair, The Lupins, Hum, Seam, Menthol, Urge Overkill, Stabbing Westward and Cupcakes among others. The band supported such notable acts as Everclear, Lenny Kravitz, The Wallflowers and Veruca Salt over the course of its existence. The band's first release, Broadcaster, was referred to as "Cheap Trick meets Nirvana" and featured power-pop two-toned guitar crunch and a stunning power backbeat. The album sold poorly despite extensive touring in the U.S. due to limited label support.

The business at one time had three stores: one at the original eastside location (opened on March 15, 1969), a store in Northwest Portland, and a classical music-only store located next door to the main eastside location. The classical-music-only store, known as Classical Millennium, opened in 1977. The northwest location, which closed in September 2007, was known for being a pioneer in in-store performances, which started in 1989 as part of the business's 20th anniversary celebration and were so popular that they were made a regular feature. Among the many musicians the store hosted were Randy Newman in March 1989, as well as Richard Thompson, Brandi Carlile, Everclear (in 1997), The Shins, Elliott Smith (in September 1998), and Weezer.
In 2004, Kennedy, Lustig and Nakata reunited and released the album Right About Now, produced by Kennedy and released on their own label Flaming Peach Records. The album was critically well received and the band performed a handful of shows in New York City as well as the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. with Everclear, but shortly thereafter, the group inexplicably disbanded once again. In 2009 the Ruth Ruth album Live in Toronto was released on In Music We Trust Records, a live recording culled from a 1996 CBC broadcast and was also very well received. Although there has been some mention in passing by Kennedy on the band's Facebook page about reformation, only they know if the band will get together.
When automation came to KYMC, in the late 1980s the format changed to an adult contemporary format borrowed from 55 KSD's music library, utilizing the old KSD control board in the studios and the stereo music stream was changed to a lower quality monaural FM. High school student broadcast staff involvement changed and an affiliation with Maryville University supplied college student air staff for a time. At some point the transmitter power was increased to over 100 watts, the frequency changed to 89.7 FM and the tower site was relocated onto a shared cellphone tower off Clayton Road. KYMC was the first alternative rock station in the St. Louis area and was a non-commercial station. In the 1990s many bands played their music live in the studio, including Everclear, Alanis Morissette and Live.
Some of the bands that would play Edgefest over the years would include The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Marcy Playground, Everclear, Our Lady Peace, Fuel, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, Smash Mouth, Nickelback, Incubus, Staind, and P.O.D.. The Edge had also been one of the few local stations to support local bands which would also be part of Edgefest. By the end of the 1990s KTEG's format had started to shift from anything labeled 'alternative rock' to harder music due to changing trends in modern rock radio at the time as well as to differentiate from its sister station KPEK-FM "The Peak" which had a modern adult contemporary format whose playlist at the time was featuring many of the same titles as KTEG. It was purchased by Clear Channel in 1999 from Trumper Communications.

To avoid a long daily commute which she can no longer afford, Dora asks Alcott to let her live with him for a while to which he selfishly declines for fear of losing his tenure at the university if their relationship is found out. Paul and Dora bump into each other one night and Paul invites her to an Everclear concert after discovering when they met that she is a fan. Dora agrees to the date, but first goes to a job interview for a night shift in a convenience store, but is denied the position because she's a woman. Adam is at the same store buying beer and pretends to be sympathetic as a ploy to invite her to a party which she accepts, but says she will be there only for a short time so she can meet Paul.
Charles' secret weapon turned out to be > not so secret and, sooner or later, all sorts of bands were exploiting the > same strategy of wide dynamics. It became a kind of new pop formula and, > within a short while, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was charging up the charts > and even the members of Nirvana said later that it sounded for all the world > like a Pixies song. Sonically, the Pixies are credited with popularizing the extreme dynamics and stop-start timing that would become widespread in alternative rock; the Pixies songs typically feature hushed, restrained verses, and explosive, wailing choruses. Artists including David Bowie, Matt Noveskey, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, U2, Nirvana, The Strokes, Alice in Chains, Weezer, Bush, Arcade Fire, Pavement, Everclear, Kings of Leon and Matthew Good have cited admiration of or influence by the Pixies.
The band recruited replacements in percussionist Al Keith, bassist Justin Bivona and drummer Jesse Bivona, the latter two being touring support members in the past. Sugar Ray performing In 2012, McGrath worked with Art Alexakis, frontman and vocalist of the band Everclear, on starting up a 1990s nostalgia tour, something they had discussed in the past but had always felt was too soon to be successful. The result was the "Summerland" tour, featuring a line-up of alternative rock bands that "at least had a big hit or two" in the 1990s, containing McGrath and Alexakis's own bands along with Marcy Playground, Gin Blossoms, and Lit. Percussionist Al Keith (Khalil Al-Rashad) injured his foot on July 2, 2012 at Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California, during the song "Fly." He was absent from shows until August 2012.

The UK organisation holds an annual summer trek to the top of Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon, called Snowdon Rocks, and to this has been added a number of other events, including Rhondda Rocks, Avebury Rocks and Ben Nevis Rocks. LHSF concerts feature both amateur and professional musicians, and have featured high-profile rock musicians including Chuck Berry, The Fixx's Cy Curnin, Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, Everclear, The Beat, Nick Harper, Chris Summerill and members of The Cult. The first four shows had raised almost $1 million by September 2008.

After relocating to the West Coast, Linda Laurie wrote a number of songs for other artists, including Bobby Vinton ("I'm Comin' Home Girl"), Sonny and Cher ("Crystal Clear, Muddy Waters" and "I Love What You Did With The Love I Gave You", which she co-wrote with Annette Tucker), Cher solo ("When You Find Out Where You're Going, Let Me Know"), Nancy Sinatra (with Frank Sinatra; "Life's a Trippy Thing") and Love Unlimited ("I Did It For Love"). However, her biggest hit as a songwriter came with "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)," which went to #3 for Helen Reddy in late 1973; Laurie's version was issued by MCA Records earlier in the year. She also wrote the theme song for the 1970s Saturday-morning show "Land of the Lost," which was featured in the 2009 movie featuring Will Ferrell. The band Everclear also recorded the tune on their all-covers album The Vegas Years.
