Madhureeta Mukherjee of The Times of India praised Kumar's performance and said that "Bhai act with flamboyance and mojo ... He gets a chance to do what he does best – herogiri (albeit less menacing, more entertaining), with charisma and clap-trap dialoguebaazi." Al Pacino saw the film's trailer and promos and admired Kumar's portrayal of Shoaib Khan, a gangster. He said that the promos and posters reminded him of his own The Godfather.

" Kyle Mullin of Exclaim! stated, "Such a slew of straightforward tracks make Ohio's few cerebral cuts, like the De La guest spot "Navajo Rugs," seem all the more out of place. Stalley showcases eclectic strengths on this release, but focus certainly isn't one of them." Roger Krastz of XXL said, "Stalley’s debut album is highly entertaining with a sound that is very refreshing in today’s rap scene. Chiarello owns a winery, Chiarello Family Vineyards, Bottega Ristorante and NapaStyle, a purveyor of food, cookware, and furniture in Yountville, and was a competitor on the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef. In spring 2013, Michael opened Coqueta, a tapas restaurant on San Francisco's waterfront.

Robert Copsey from Digital Spy gave the album 3 stars (out of 5), saying that "Euphoria fits between the sentimental Iglesias of the 'Hero' and 'Bailamos' era and the new, Down With The Kids Enrique. The papers covered a broad range of topics; educating readers on the history and government of their new country; commenting on local agricultural news and on news from Europe and Norway; entertaining with poems and literature, and acting as organs for a variety of political views. In his review in 1930, The New York Times' critic Mordaunt Hall gives the film a mostly favorable assessment, noting that the film is "a little crude in spots" but that "it at least succeeds in holding the attention, the action being fairly good combination of comedy and drama." Variety at the time describes the picture as "mildly entertaining" with situations that contain a "few laughs", although the trade paper adds that the film improves about midway through the story, and by its last two reels becomes "exciting". Variety in its review, however, is even less complimentary about the performances of the cast, which the paper judges to be below their capabilities, singling out Mae Clarke's effort in particular as disappointing.

Deborah Klayman of The Public Reviews rated People's Romeo it 3/5 called it "is energetic and entertaining with moments that are exciting, moving, and humorous." Matthew Jenkins of News Hopper said, "Both charming and moving, People's Romeo is a brave attempt to try something genuinely new and makes for a culturally enriching and entertaining two hours." The Stage said, "Director Mukul Ahmed may have taken several liberties with Shakespeare's original but the important elements remain and his cast of five performers, including a percussionist and vocalist create an utterly absorbing piece of theatre. OffWestEnd.com said, "The People's Romeo is a dynamic cross-cultural performance made for our time that uses Pala Gaan, a popular Bengali folk theatre style that combines music, dance and storytelling to re-invent this classic of English theatre.

In his review for Variety magazine, David Rooney called the film "sexy and entertaining" with a "witty script and strong performances". Rooney concluded: In his review for Entertainment Weekly, Owen Gleiberman gave the film an A- score, calling it "a no-fuss movie that casts a rich, tranquil spell." Gleiberman concluded, "It's the rare portrait of a happy marriage that is honest about the complex currents of desire, and the drama is beautifully played by Bale, who gawks with soulful sweetness, and Watson, who does her most piercing work since Breaking the Waves." In his review for the Chicago Sun-Times, Roger Ebert gave the film three out of four stars, noting director Philip Saville ability to tell this "straightforward story of life choices" while avoiding a dependence on sentiment.

Which, at least in the movies, is never a bad thing. The film gets one extra star for Akshay Kumar, who makes a stellar killer". Madhureeta Mukherjee awarded the film 3.5 out of five stars in The Times of India, telling readers to watch the film only for its flattering dons and their heroines, saying "there's nothing criminal about it!" She praised Milan Luthria for capturing the essence of the film's setting and Kumar's portrayal of Shoaib Khan: "Bhai act with flamboyance and mojo ... He gets a chance to do what he does best – herogiri (albeit less menacing, more entertaining), with charisma and clap-trap dialoguebaazi" but criticised Imran Khan's "ill-at-ease" rogue, the second half of the film for being "at times too overbearing" and said, "this film has its moments, but it's not as compelling as the prequel.

The first floor remained true to the original decorations, and was used for receptions and as a museum, while the second floor was rented for other non-profits' use, and the third floor was reserved for the Junior League headquarters. The Junior League moved its headquarters to the building and constructed a parking lot in 1981, and in 1983 it completed the restoration of the structure. The house was built to be used for entertaining, with a spacious ballroom with a dance floor, formal drawing room, and library, and these features have allowed it to continue to be used as a popular venue for weddings and other events; by the 1990s, reservations were required a year in advance for wedding receptions due to its popularity. The second house in California was designed at the height of her career in 1926 as an impressive French mansion called "Le Soleil" for Francis and Katherine Crosby in Woodside, an hour south of San Francisco. Francis Crosby was the president of the Key System transportation service and owner of several small telephone companies. The design of "Le Soleil" was a collaboration of three Rockwell sisters: Mary Rockwell Hook and her partner Eric Douglas Remington were the architects; Katherine Rockwell Crosby, the owner, designed the interior, acquired the furniture and designed the French gardens, and Bertha Rockwell Venanzi, an artist living in Italy, painted floral murals in the grand ballroom. The estate has many formal rooms for entertaining with requisite kitchen and cellar rooms, a total of seven bedroom suites, and a garage for nine cars, all on a large property of several beautifully landscaped acres with a pool and tennis court.

Although TV Zone's Stephen Graves believed that Ben Browder and Claudia Black's first post-Farscape encounter in "Avalon" was "somewhat underplayed", he considered Mitchell's introduction entertaining, with Mitchell's "excruciating" interviews with potential new recruits as "a particular highlight". However, Graves was disappointed that Mitchell did not contribute much to the story after the knight fight, and that Mitchell's "frantic" efforts to get the old SG-1 team back together hinted too much at the production team's efforts to turn around the season 8 finale. By season 10's "Memento Mori", TV Zone's Anthony Brown felt that "Ben Browder and Claudia Black have [...] reached a point where they can play out an amusing take on Misery without you feeling that [their Farscape characters] have somehow starbursted onto SG-1's Earth".
