Enation, styled as ENATION, is an American indie rock band formed in Battle Ground, Washington, who released their first independent music in 2004. In 2014 they briefly changed their official name to Jonathan Jackson + Enation and released their fourth studio album "Radio Cinematic" through Loud & Proud Records. The band currently resides in Nashville, TN.

His first well known character was Lucky Spencer on the ABC Daytime soap opera General Hospital, a role that has won him five Emmy Awards. In 2002, he played Jesse Tuck in the film Tuck Everlasting. In 2004 he started the band Enation with his brother, actor and drummer Richard Lee Jackson and friend Daniel Sweatt.

Enation have landed on the Billboard Top 10 ("Live From Nashville" DVD, #9) and have garnered numerous radio and TV appearances including live performances on The View and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live. Enation was originally formed in 2003 with bassist Daniel Sweatt, who exited the band in 2017, wanting to spend more time with his family. "Ride," Enation's first single from their 2004 debut independent album, Identity Theft, was featured as the theme song to Riding the Bullet, a Stephen King thriller which also stars Jonathan Jackson.

In 2000, the band included his brother, uncle and father and was named "Scarlet Road". By 2002, Jonathan and his brother Richard had named their group "Jono and the Rock".

Brothers and actors Jonathan Jackson and Richard Lee Jackson originally formed the music group that came to be known as Enation in 2003. In 2017, Jonathan and Richard invited their friend Jonathan Thatcher (formerly of Delirious?) to tour with them. The three have continued touring and creating new music in the studio. Pea enation mosaic virus (PEMV) is a plant pathogenic virus. The two RNAs of the disease are now categorised as two separate, mutualistic viruses: PEMV-1 is an Enamovirus, while PEMV-2 is an Umbravirus. It is spread by green or pea aphids and affects legumes as pea, alfalfa, broadbean or sweet pea mostly in temperate regions. Symptoms include chlorotic, translucent or necrotic lesions, malformation of leaves and stipules, and plant distortion.

The genus Umbravirus includes plant viruses assigned to the family Tombusviridae. The genus has nine recognized species: Carrot mottle mimic virus, Carrot mottle virus, the type species, Ethiopian tobacco bushy top virus, Groundnut rosette virus, Lettuce speckles mottle virus, Opium poppy mosaic virus, Pea enation mosaic virus 2, Tobacco bushy top virus, and Tobacco mottle virus. Umbraviruses do not encode their own coat protein, but use the coat proteins of 'assistor viruses' from the family Luteoviridae to produce virions, allowing them to be transmitted. Transmission may be by aphids or mechanical inoculation.

The xylem or conducting tissue at the center of the aerial stems is distinctly star- shaped in cross-section and has been considered an early actinostele or an "Asteroxylon-type" protostele. The tracheids are of the primitive annular or helical type (so-called G-type). "Leaves" – not true leaves, but protrusions – were of the form of unbranched strap-shaped enations up to 5 mm long; a single vascular trace branched from the main bundle in the centre of the stem to terminate at the base of each enation. Enations and axes bore stomata, indicating that their tissues were capable of photosynthesis.

Lenz has performed a string of original tracks on One Tree Hill due to her character's ambitions to reestablish her music career. Everly had continued to use One Tree Hill as an avenue to promote their latest music. In the episode titled "Even Fairy Tale Characters Would Be Jealous," Lenz's character Haley James Scott's friend Peyton Sawyer produces a USO concert at the military base where her brother is stationed. The concert also featured Lenz's then-husband Michael Galeotti's band Enation, the band Angels & Airwaves, and occasional One Tree Hill guest star and fellow musician Kate Voegele.

Other band members include Jonathan's brother Richard (drums), and their friend Jonathan Thatcher (bass, previously of Delirious?) Everly's statement on CD Baby describes their coming together to form Mission Bell as "birthed of a friendship and a sisterhood that's been many years in the making, and we are proud to present this short collection of music as a 'teaser' for what is to come." Bethany Joy Lenz and musical acts Angels & Airwaves and occasional One Tree Hill guest star Kate Voegele teamed up with the USO for a live concert event for military personnel. The event also included Lenz's ex-husband's band Enation, and music partner Amber Sweeney who accompanied Lenz on stage to perform Lenz's hit single Feel This and song entitled The Sweetest Thing. The duo also performed their single written for troops, Home Is Me – You Are Mine.

When broadly circumscribed, the lycophytes represent a line of evolution distinct from that leading to all other vascular plants, the euphyllophytes, such as ferns, gymnosperms and flowering plants. They are defined by two synapomorphies: lateral rather than terminal sporangia (often kidney-shaped or reniform), and exarch protosteles, in which the protoxylem is outside the metaxylem rather than vice versa. The extinct zosterophylls have at most only flap-like extensions of the stem ("enations") rather than leaves, whereas extant lycophyte species have microphylls, leaves that have only a single vascular trace (vein), rather than the much more complex megaphylls of other vascular plants. The extinct genus Asteroxylon represents a transition between these two groups: it has a vascular trace leaving the central protostele, but this extends only to the base of the enation.
