He dropped out of Aberdeen High School in the eleventh grade and enlisted in the Army in October 1974. Participatory Awareness Through Community Help (PATCH) was created by Thomas J. O'Donnell in 1969 in hope of educating more students about the Constitution and United States history and civics. From the PATCH program came several law-related electives offered by the social studies department. One of PATCH's electives, Constitutional Law, supplements the regular New York State eleventh grade American history curriculum and remains popular to this day. Clark was born to Alfred Eugene Clark (born 1938) and Mildred I. Clark (born 1940), natives of Arkansas County near Stuttgart in eastern Arkansas, who relocated to Hot Springs in 1960. When he was seven, his family moved to the Cayman Islands, where they lived for five years, and then settled back in Los Angeles. The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination taken by all fifth-form secondary school students in Malaysia. The Georgia High School Graduation Test, or GHSGT, was administered to all students in the eleventh grade in the US state of Georgia from 1991–2013. The Beaverton area was one of the fastest growing in the state, and in 1962, the district determined that a new high school was needed. The former Kinnaman Dairy Farm was purchased, and in 1966, construction began on a new building. There were construction delays, so in September 1968, the first Aloha High School tenth and eleventh grade students used the former Merle Davies Elementary School and parts of Beaverton High School. The Aloha High School building, though incomplete, held its first classes in 1970.

Paden City found friends competing against friends and even brothers against brothers in athletic competitions. During the years that the Junior High School served the educational needs of the community, parents and students envisioned the time when the change at the eleventh grade level would not have to be made. If a student did not achieve the specified grade in ÖSS, they did not have the right to enter ÖYS, and thus, lost their chance to be accepted to a university. ÖSS consisted of questions about the ninth grade curriculum, and ÖYS was a test on the tenth and eleventh grade curriculum. ÖSS eliminated the students on the basis of the grade they had received in the exam, and ÖYS placed the students to the universities they wanted.

Riggins was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States, son of keyboardist Emmanuel Riggins. As a child, he would often watch his father perform with Grant Green, Marcus Belgrave and others. The exam, first administered in 1989, was originally called the High School Proficiency Test (abbreviated as HSPT) and was taken during the freshman year. If the examination was failed, it could be taken each year until it was passed. In 1993, only students who were in eleventh grade (Grade 11) were allowed to take the exam, and thus in 2001 the name was changed to HSPT-11 to reflect that policy alteration. The science and technology department at Wellesley High School offers a comprehensive program of science education and a selection of electives in technology. The departmental sequence in science consists of physics in ninth grade, chemistry in tenth grade, biology in eleventh grade, and physics and a variety of AP science courses and science electives in twelfth grade.Wellesley High School Program of Studies 2015–2016 AP courses are offered in chemistry (as a second-year course), biology (as a second-year course), and Physics C. Electives in technology consist of wood manufacturing and design technology. Robotics is offered by demand.

The school continued to ignore the bullying and assistant principal Thomas Blaumert told Nabozny that his harassment was due to him provoking them and that he deserved the punishment because of his sexuality. Blaumert also laughed when Nabozny was pushed and tripped in the hallway. For over four years, no school official took any disciplinary action in response to Nabozny's reports. He began playing baseball for the Little League team "Kodakasa White Wolf", first as a shortstop, then later as a pitcher. "The average government web site, for example, requires an eleventh- grade level of reading comprehension, even though about half of the U.S. population reads at an eighth-grade level or lower". The chapel team consists of a group of students who come together to make a few chapels that creatively convey the year's spiritual life theme. This year's spiritual life theme is "God is Greater". Spiritual Life Week, which takes place twice a year, is a week where three days of the school week are set aside for school chapels, which challenge the students' religious life and personal commitment to Christ. From sixth grade to twelfth grade, students are required to take a religion class, including a course that is taken second semester by students in eleventh grade in world religions that studies the beliefs of Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam.

The building offered grades 1-11 to students in Scott Township and students from portions of Dallas Township, Crawford County. After the completion of their eleventh grade year, the graduating "junior's" transferred to other accredited school systems and graduated from those school. The school closed in 1949, and students in the township were assigned to other neighboring districts including Marion City Schools, township systems operated by Tully, Claridon, and Grand Prairie Townships, and Mount Zion in Crawford County, Ohio. In 1988, two researchers from the University of North Carolina, Ronald Rindfuss and J. Richard Udry, submitted a proposal to The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to study the health-related risk behaviors of adolescents. Two teachers at Depew High School near Buffalo, New York, used the book for eleventh grade instruction in 2008. In 2020, under Andrew’s leadership, Democracy Builders and Marlboro College announced that Democracy Builders would acquire the Marlboro College campus in order to build a low-residency, low-cost college program for low-income students. Jordan's real name is Don Henson. He was born September 19, 1973 and his mother gave custody of him to his father, who later married another woman and had four more children, all of whom he placed in Mooseheart Child City (an orphanage) after his wife abandoned them. Once they got to the orphanage, he and his brothers and sisters were separated and every year there, from the third to eleventh grade, he had a different set of houseparents, some of them very violent. Jordan wanted to get involved in movies and sign with a talent agency in Chicago, but was forbidden since the orphanage was in Mooseheart, (near North Aurora ), forty miles away. When he was seventeen, before Thanksgiving 1991, he moved in Chicago to a friend's parents' house.

Kanemoto was born in Minami- ku, Hiroshima, as a third-generation Korean (he obtained Japanese citizenship in 2001). He began playing baseball in the fourth grade for the Hiroshima Central Little League club, but quit the team after a year because he could not keep up during team practices. John Olsen was born in Concord, Massachusetts, the only offspring of Stanley John Olsen (1919–2003; vertebrate paleontologist and zooarchaeologist) and Eleanor Louise Vinez Olsen (1917-2016; executive assistant, botanist and homemaker). Students at Tucker have to complete Creativity, Action, and Service projects throughout all four years of high school to explore their community and identity, the Personal Project in the summer after ninth grade to partake in creating a final product of the student's interests, and the Extended Essay-a university level paper under 4,000 words with a topic of choice-during eleventh grade. The middle years certificate is awarded based on CAS projects in the ninth and tenth grade, meeting certain International Baccalaureate assessment scores in classes, and the personal project score.

Students get three tries and tutoring, and if they still fail, they are held back. About 15% of students in an IDEA school in eighth grade are no longer there by eleventh grade. Students take courses to learn the skills needed to take Advanced Placement courses beginning in sixth grade and in ninth grade they take their first AP course. They are scheduled to take eleven AP courses. Programs of study added in recent years include associate degree programs in Mexican-American Studies (Fall, 2006), geographic information systems (Fall, 2005) and Criminal Justice (Fall, 2009). In 2006, Dallas College Brookhaven Campus began a partnership with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District to offer an Early College High School program, which admits a limited number of ninth-grade students to an on-site high school program that allows them to begin their college studies during their eleventh-grade year and earn an associate degree along with their high school diplomas. Early College High School This program is in addition to the existing dual-credit program that allows select secondary-school students to enroll in college courses at low cost while continuing at their original high-school campuses. In an interview with Vocab Magazine, Mills said her interest in opera music began in the eleventh grade. She won accolades performing through the New York State School Music Association. In 2011, Mills performed live at the 2011 NV Awards. XXL Magazine reported that Mills created her own genre of music with the combination of pop music and opera, called “pop’era.” In an interview with Soul Dynamic, Mills said she infused pop and opera to form “pop’era.” Mills has performed opera and R&B; at Lincoln Center, in Times Square, and performed for Jesse Jackson's seventieth birthday at Rainbow/PUSH.

The majority of the objections have been over the novel's language, but the book also has mentions of prostitution, sexuality and underage drinking, as cited by the book review published by the organization Focus on the Family, an American, conservative group. The ALA cites the reasons for censorship as "offensive language, sexually explicit, unsuited to age group". The first case of censorship the book ever witnessed was in 1960 when it was banned in a Tulsa, Oklahoma school district and the eleventh grade teacher who had assigned the book was fired because of the questionable content of the book. A case in Paris, Maine in 1996 allowed for The Catcher in the Rye to continue being taught at the district high school, but mandated practices that would tell parents what books their children read, ultimately leaving it in the hands of parents to decide what their children should read, rather than the school.

Despite the complaints of its critics, the show proved an important influence for a significant number of young gay men. George Plagianos, who grew up Brooklyn and would go on to become an activist in ACT- UP, remembers that after acknowledging his homosexuality but before actually meeting other gay people, he learned about gay life and politics by listening to Pitts’ show on WBAI. Victor Patin began listening to “Out of the Slough” in eleventh grade, and described how his life was profoundly changed by having Pitts “with me, guiding me, giving me strength” through his voice and the voices of the other gay young people who called and wrote in to the show. R. Paul Martin, host of WBAI’s free-form “Back of the Book” radio show, described his importance for the gay community: “By the ‘70s and ‘80s the number of gay men who acknowledged having been educated about gay male life and issues by Charles Pitts’ broadcasts was astounding.” In May 1973, Charles Pitts was again fired by WBAI manager Jerry Coffin.

Due to an increasing student population, a new school was built in 1915 on land donated by Mrs. Wylie. She requested that the school's name be changed to Wylie in honor of her late husband, which was done. A series of bond elections were held during the 1920s. The first, in 1924, funded the construction of a new brick school that opened in 1925. The second bond election was held in 1927 that approved the construction of two additional classrooms and a dining room for the home economics department. The 1930s saw a number of smaller school districts consolidate with Wylie. The Neill school district did so in 1931, followed by Iberis in 1933. That year, the district expanded from ten to eleven grades. In 1935, Buffalo Gap began sending its tenth and eleventh graders to Wylie, which continued until 1978 when Buffalo Gap consolidated with Jim Ned. Potosi began sending its eleventh grade students to Wylie in 1937 and Cedar Creek closed and began sending its students to Wylie as well. The Bulldog mascot and the colors purple and gold were officially adopted in 1942. Potosi, which had been sending its secondary school students to Wylie since the late 1930s, fully consolidated with the district in 1949.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program In 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014–15 and 2015–16, Central Dauphin East High School was listed among the 15% lowest achieving schools in the Commonwealth.
