In the 1970s, enrollment at R.L. Turner High School had passed 3,000 students, so a site near Josey Lane and Jackson Road was acquired for a second campus. The new facility opened in the fall of 1975, housing eighth and ninth grade students living north of Belt Line Road. During the second year, the school housed ninth and tenth grade students. The third year the school housed eighth through eleventh grade.

Corder was born in Perry Point, Maryland, the son of William Eugene Corder, who was an aircraft mechanic, and Dorothy Corder. He dropped out of Aberdeen High School in the eleventh grade and enlisted in the Army in October 1974. Corder was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Carson, Colorado, where he was trained as a mechanic. He was honorably discharged from military service in July 1975 at the rank of private first class.

Participatory Awareness Through Community Help (PATCH) was created by Thomas J. O'Donnell in 1969 in hope of educating more students about the Constitution and United States history and civics. From the PATCH program came several law-related electives offered by the social studies department. One of PATCH's electives, Constitutional Law, supplements the regular New York State eleventh grade American history curriculum and remains popular to this day. PATCH currently partners with Touro Law College and the New York State Bar Association.

Clark was born to Alfred Eugene Clark (born 1938) and Mildred I. Clark (born 1940), natives of Arkansas County near Stuttgart in eastern Arkansas, who relocated to Hot Springs in 1960. When he was seven, his family moved to the Cayman Islands, where they lived for five years, and then settled back in Los Angeles. The Georgia High School Graduation Test, or GHSGT, was administered to all students in the eleventh grade in the US state of Georgia from 1991–2013. The Beaverton area was one of the fastest growing in the state, and in 1962, the district determined that a new high school was needed. The former Kinnaman Dairy Farm was purchased, and in 1966, construction began on a new building. There were construction delays, so in September 1968, the first Aloha High School tenth and eleventh grade students used the former Merle Davies Elementary School and parts of Beaverton High School. The Aloha High School building, though incomplete, held its first classes in 1970.

If a student did not achieve the specified grade in ÖSS, they did not have the right to enter ÖYS, and thus, lost their chance to be accepted to a university. ÖSS consisted of questions about the ninth grade curriculum, and ÖYS was a test on the tenth and eleventh grade curriculum. ÖSS eliminated the students on the basis of the grade they had received in the exam, and ÖYS placed the students to the universities they wanted.
Riggins was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States, son of keyboardist Emmanuel Riggins. As a child, he would often watch his father perform with Grant Green, Marcus Belgrave and others. Unlike many other high schools, AP World and AP European History is offered to students in the tenth grade, as opposed to only being offered in eleventh grade. The science and technology department at Wellesley High School offers a comprehensive program of science education and a selection of electives in technology. The departmental sequence in science consists of physics in ninth grade, chemistry in tenth grade, biology in eleventh grade, and physics and a variety of AP science courses and science electives in twelfth grade.Wellesley High School Program of Studies 2015–2016 AP courses are offered in chemistry (as a second-year course), biology (as a second-year course), and Physics C. In April 2012, The Republican Party of India (RPI) Athavale group demanded a ban on an eleventh grade text book by the NCERT saying a drawn cartoon in the book insulted Dr. Bahasaheb Ambedkar. The school continued to ignore the bullying and assistant principal Thomas Blaumert told Nabozny that his harassment was due to him provoking them and that he deserved the punishment because of his sexuality. The chapel team consists of a group of students who come together to make a few chapels that creatively convey the year's spiritual life theme. This year's spiritual life theme is "God is Greater". The building offered grades 1-11 to students in Scott Township and students from portions of Dallas Township, Crawford County. After the completion of their eleventh grade year, the graduating "junior's" transferred to other accredited school systems and graduated from those school. In 1988, two researchers from the University of North Carolina, Ronald Rindfuss and J. Richard Udry, submitted a proposal to The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to study the health-related risk behaviors of adolescents. Jordan's real name is Don Henson. He was born September 19, 1973 and his mother gave custody of him to his father, who later married another woman and had four more children, all of whom he placed in Mooseheart Child City (an orphanage) after his wife abandoned them. Once they got to the orphanage, he and his brothers and sisters were separated and every year there, from the third to eleventh grade, he had a different set of houseparents, some of them very violent. John Olsen was born in Concord, Massachusetts, the only offspring of Stanley John Olsen (1919–2003; vertebrate paleontologist and zooarchaeologist) and Eleanor Louise Vinez Olsen (1917-2016; executive assistant, botanist and homemaker). Due to an increasing student population, a new school was built in 1915 on land donated by Mrs. Wylie.
