The order, however, actually makes no provision for the election of officers. The elections spoken of in the order itself are for representatives to the Petrograd Soviet. The discrepancy is explained by the fact that a proclamation was issued by the Russian Socialist Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP - essentially the Communists, divided between the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks) and the Petrograd Committee of Socialist Revolutionaries (SRs) at about the same time calling on "Comrade Soldiers" to "elect for yourself platoon, company and regimental commanders." Part of the debate leading up to Order Number 1 included talk of "sorting out" unfriendly (pro-Tsarist or anti- revolutionary) officers and excluding them from units.

Singh was sworn-in to the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders on January 3, 2018. The oath of office was administered by Central New Jersey politician Vin Gopal, who was then Senator-Elect for New Jersey's 11th Legislative District. Gopal is the first Indian-American to be elected to New Jersey's State Senate, Singh voted in favor of the 2018 County budget, which resulted in a reduction in property taxes. The budget also called for a cut in the amount of money going into the Burlington County farmland preservation and open space fund since only two farms had applied for the program during the 2018 fiscal year, and neither accepted the county’s offer.

A hymenotomy is a medical procedure involving the surgical removal or opening of the hymen. It is often performed on patients with an imperforate or septate hymen, or other situations where the hymen is unusually thick or rigid such as microperforate hymen. In the case of a person with a hymen without any opening, an opening may be created in order to facilitate menstruation. On 3 April 2019 a Federal High Court in Abuja sacked Nwaoboshi as Senator- elect for Delta North senatorial district on grounds that he was not validly nominated in the party primaries held by the People's Democratic Party in Delta State. He was also ordered by Justice Ahmed Mohammed to stop parading himself as senator-elect. According to the summons filed against him by his opponent in the party primaries Prince Nwoko stated that the People's Democractic party had unlawfully announced him the winner after he was defeated in the primaries, it was also alleged that Nwoboshi hired thugs to cause a mass scare and stampede when he learnt of his brewing defeat. On 4 April 2019, Nwaoboshi appealed to the judgement sacking him as senator-elect.

The abandonment of a loyal and valuable ally, and the deaths of Roman citizens, led to outrage among the Roman population. The Senate attempted to suppress the uproar; but Gaius Memmius, tribune-elect for the following year, declared his intention of impeaching the Senators suspected of corruption. The Senate subsequently declared war, starting the Jugurthine War, 111–106 BC. In spite of initial Roman setbacks, Jugurtha was eventually defeated by the capable generals Quintus Metellus Numidicus and Gaius Marius, the last of whom captured Jugurtha and brought him to Rome to die in chains in the Tullianum.

St Davids Cathedral today On the death of Peter de Leia in 1198, the chapter of St Davids again nominated Gerald for the bishopric; but Hubert Walter, Archbishop of Canterbury, refused confirmation. Representatives of the canons followed Richard I to France, but before they could interview him he died; his successor, King John, received them kindly and granted them permission to hold an election. They were unanimous in their selection of Gerald, and Gerald acted as bishop-elect for much of the next four years; and, as Hubert still refused to confirm the election, Gerald started for Rome to have his election confirmed, where he had an interview with Pope Innocent III. He visited Rome on three occasions (1199–1200; 1201; 1202–3) in support of his claims.

When the marauders withdrew from Utrecht in 1268, the townspeople, whom he besieged with assistance of Guelders, refused him entrance, so that he was forced to move his seat to Deventer until 1270.

(TCI) – which, as a byproduct of a corporate breakup tied to AT&T;'s 1999 purchase of TCI, would sell its Tulsa cable franchise to Cox Communications in February 2000 – began offering KWHB on channel 7, which expanded the station's distribution to cable television subscribers in the Tulsa area; KWHB was one of three Tulsa-area stations (along with KTFO and Claremore-based educational independent KRSC-TV [channel 35, now KRSU-TV]) to be given clearance on TCI as a result of rules included in the Cable Television Protection and Competition Act that allowed full-power television stations to elect for mandatory carriage on cable providers. Marcellus sent ambassadors back to the Senate in Rome, urging them to accept the peace proposals and end the long war in Spain. However, the Arevaci then attacked Nergobriga, the city of the Nergobriges, and broke the truce agreed with Marcellus. In retaliation, the Romans marched to besiege the Arevaci capital of Numantia; however, before the assault could begin, the Numantines re-opened negotiations for peace and, in a conference with Marcellus, the Numantine leader, Litenno, offered to make peace with Rome on behalf of the Arevaci, Belli and Titthi.
