Wade has worked closely with the BBC Fame Academy judges David and Carrie Grant for their vocal session company both as a session singer and as an associate vocal coach. Wade has been instrumental in helping to shape the vocal prowess of many people over the last 18 years such as Daniel Bedingfield and Natasha Bedingfield in their formative years leading up to their career and subsequent chart success. 2010 - Wade sings the main hook on singer Eliza Doolittle's top ten single "Pack Up" which peaked at #5 in the British pop chart behind entries from Kylie Minogue and Eminem. In 2007 Wade was guest vocalist with Take That on their Beautiful World Tour 2007, dueting with them on "Relight My Fire", singing a mixture of the Gnarls Barkley song "Crazy" and the part sung on the single version of "Relight My Fire" by Lulu.

Other keyboard work includes Paloma Faith, Rumer, Pete Doherty, Babyshambles, the Noisettes, Johnny Depp, cabaret with Alan Carr, music hall with Colin Firth, and others, as well as being a founder member of jazz outfits The Rag 'n' Bone Club and Ronnie Scott's Rejects. Large received web notoriety after an appearance with Squeeze on the US Jimmy Fallon Show on 13 July 2010, during which he played a keyboard solo on the new Apple iPad for the song "Pulling Mussels (From The Shell)". This appears to be the first use on live TV of the iPad as a musical instrument. His second single "Mujō" was used as an insert song for the Miho Kanno-starring drama Nisenichi-nen no Otoko Un. Though Shiina often worked with producers, many of his songs were performed and arranged by himself, with his back-up band the Evil Vibrations: guitarist Ryosuke Nagaoka, drummers Takeshi Hatae and Toshiki Hata, bassist Tomohiko Ohkanda and Soil & "Pimp" Sessions member Tabu Zombie on trumpet. The Evil Vibrations recorded much of his debut album Shiina Junpei, which was released in July 2001. In 2002, Shiina collaborated with his sister Ringo Sheena on three cover duets, beginning with Toto's "Georgy Porgy", which they recorded together as a part of a special unit called Yokoshima, featuring Jumpei Shiina on keyboards and Ringo Sheena on chorus. The siblings both released cover albums in May 2002: Junpei Shiina's, Discover, featured a cover of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway's 1972 duet "Where Is the Love" sung with his sister, while Ringo Sheena's, Utaite Myōri: Sono Ichi, featured the pair dueting Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "The Onion Song" (1969).

Almost every Stax artist recorded Floyd material, often co-written with either Cropper or Jones, including Sam & Dave ("You Don't Know What You Mean to Me"), Rufus Thomas ("The Breakdown"), Otis Redding ("I Love You More Than Words Can Say"), and Johnnie Taylor's "Just the One (I've Been Looking For)". The latter played during the opening credits of director Harold Ramis's film Bedazzled. In 1980, Floyd released material on the UK record label I-Spy Records, owned and created by the UK band Secret Affair. He joined old Stax collaborators Cropper and Dunn, and fronted The Blues Brothers Band on a series of world tours, and in 1998, Floyd and former Falcon Wilson Pickett appeared on screen dueting on "634-5789" in Blues Brothers 2000. As well as singing with The Blues Brothers Band, Floyd has been the special guest with former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings on several dates in the US and the UK. In 2008, Floyd returned to Stax Records, which was owned by Concord Music Group since 2004.
