He also raced part-time in Performance Motorsports' Chevrolet Corvette Trans-Am car.
Although the updated car did prove faster, results were not forthcoming. In an interview in 2000, Patrese described the 185T as "the worst car I ever drove". At the 1985 Monaco Grand Prix, Patrese's former teammate Nelson Piquet began his 14th lap and was attempting to lap Patrese as they crossed the start/finish line. The cars made contact, and Patrese went into a spin while Piquet lost his suspension.
In the summer of 1967, Tasmania suffered its most destructive fire season, and Australia's fourth most deadly on record. A verdant spring had added higher than usual fuel to the state's forest floors, and strong northerly winds and high temperatures drove at least 80 different fires across the south-east, burning to within of the centre of Hobart, the state capital. The infernos killed 62 people and destroyed almost 1300 homes.

Thad Moffitt, Richard Petty's great-grandson, made his ARCA debut in the car for three races at Nashville, Toledo, and IRP. John Ferrier, who is from Middletown, New York (not far from Goshen, where the Corr family is from), joined the team and merged it with his own.
Jason White returned to run two races in the truck. In September, it was announced the Ron Hornaday, Jr. would return to the 9 truck of NTS with his sponsor Rheem, after being released from Turner Scott Motorsports due to internal issues within the organization. Hornaday drove at Las Vegas and Texas with Rheem, and a third race at Talladega with ARMOUR Foods. Ty Dillon replaced Newberry for the season finale at Homestead, finishing 7th.
Melas protested, saying that what Latimer was doing was unlawful. The kidnapper replied that he would make it up to Melas, but also threatened him with unspecified retribution should the evening's business ever be made public. For approximately two hours they drove, at last arriving at a house. It was dark, and Melas only got a general impression of a large property as he was hustled out of the coach and into the house.

Tim Fedewa drove at Las Vegas followed by Derrike Cope at Talladega Superspeedway, who ran in the top-ten before becoming involved in a late crash. Raines again drove the No. 33 for Hillman-Circle Sport at Talladega, where he finished 38th after an engine problem. Raines also drove at Pocono for Tommy Baldwin Racing, finishing 32nd after a crash. He also drove for Robinson-Blakeney Racing in the Nationwide Series, mostly running the No. 70 when ML Motorsports was not scheduled to do so. Raines continued driving the JRR No. 70 in 2013 at the Nationwide Series level.
Chavous made his Truck Series debut at Atlanta. The team suffered their first DNQ at Martinsville. Chavous was replaced by Timmy Hill beginning at Dover, though he returned to the team to drive at Eldora, and drove the next three races before being released again. T. J. Bell drove at Mosport, then Hill returned once again, although Wayne Edwards drove a single race at Las Vegas (due to Hill's Cup Series commitments to the team).
With Lazier's Indianapolis performance, Panther Racing fielded an additional car for Lazier in four races. Lazier drove the same car he drove at Indianapolis, with sponsorship from Pennzoil, Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria and the American Sentry Guard. At Nashville, Lazier started in 3rd place and finished in 9th place. Lazier then competed in the following race, the ABC Supply Company A. J. Foyt 225 at the Milwaukee Mile, after teammate Enge was injured at Nashville.
The 2 January 2017 Mogadishu bombings took place on 2 January 2017, when a pair of suicide car bombings targeted civilians and security forces in Somalia's capital. The first targeted a checkpoint, while a second car drove at high speed through it and detonated outside the Peace Hotel, opposite Aden Adde International Airport. The attack killed at least seven people and injured 17 others. The al-Shabaab militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
However, Shepherd failed to qualify. Though the team had already expanded to three full-time cars with the addition of the No. 26, the No. 93 returned later in the year as a fourth BK car. Veteran Mike Bliss drove at both Kentucky and Loudon with Dr Pepper on the car. Johnny Sauter then drove the car with Dr Pepper at Pocono in August, and J. J. On October 3, 2017, while blocking the entrance to Port of Ashdod in the morning, Akiva received a traffic ticket from the police, and an additional ticket afterward, when she drove at speed of 5 Kilometres per hour from Ashdod to north on Route 431 (Israel). As a result, she blocked the Ayalon Highway at the Holot interchange near Rishon LeZion at evening.
The Filastin newspaper reported that on December 11, 1947, members of a pro- Zionist armed group drove at high speed through the town, throwing bombs at a barbershop and a coffeehouse. In Durban, the team gained Proton as a sponsor, but two consecutive retirements followed.
Drivers Kelly Bires, Drew Herring, and Joey Logano also took turns in the 18. Bires ran at Richmond and Chicago with International Comfort Products Corporation, Herring drove at the second Nashville race with Sport Clips, and Logano drove the 18 at Chicago, Dover, Kansas, and Phoenix. For 2012 the 18 would have a similar lineup, featuring Hamlin, Logano, Herring, McDowell, and Ryan Truex. Logano would take seven victories with the 18 team, handing the team the Nationwide Owners' Championship.

Mun was injured whilst shooting a scene, near Namdaemun in Seoul, where he was to save co-star Han Ji-min from being run over by a car. The stunt car driver, misunderstanding the instructions given to him, drove at them at 40 km/h and did not stop in front of them as planned.
Busch (97) and Joe Nemechek (01) at Talladega Superspeedway in 2005. Roush Racing announced during the 2000 season that Busch was being promoted to the Winston Cup Series to replace Chad Little in Roush's No. 97 Ford for the 2001 season. Little ended up being released early, and Busch took over the No. 97 John Deere-sponsored Ford at Dover in September 2000. Busch ran seven of the final eight races (Little drove at Talladega) with crew chief Jeff Hammond.
The team withdrew at Iowa and was not entered at Daytona. The team sold their owner points before Iowa to the new No. 28 H2 Motorsports car driven by Shane Lee, which indicated that the team may only run part-time for the rest of the year. Josh Bilicki drove at Chicagoland after Currey qualified the car while Bilicki failed to qualify his own No. 38 car for RSS Racing. Both Murphy and Currey would return for Kentucky and New Hampshire, respectfully.
Starting from the last position, Brandon Kraus was at the lead by the end of the first lap. Pulling away to a two lap lead after the first hour. At the first pit stop the lead was given back as the crew was not prepared for fast refueling and the drivers change in a race truck is rather tedious. Rich Rogers took off and drove at a more conservative pace and lost two laps to the leading BMW M3's.
He won five races total that season and finished second in points. He returned to the Busch Series to drive the No. 40 Channellock-sponsored Chevy for Doug Taylor at Watkins Glen International, finishing sixth. In 1999, Sprague won three races as well as the Craftsman Truck Series championship by eight points. He also drove at Watkins Glen in a Terry Labonte-owned car, finishing twelfth, and attempted the Exide NASCAR Select Batteries 400 for Tyler Jet Motorsports, but failed to qualify.
He returned in 2008 at Mexico driving a second Stanton Barrett Motorsports car in place of Stan Barrett who was originally meant to race for the team. He qualified and finished 38th after pulling in with handling issues. He then drove at Richmond replacing the injured Larry Gunselman at MSRP Motorsports qualifying 40th and finishing 43rd after parking the car on lap 6. He made a second start for Stanton Barrett at Darlington starting 34th and finishing 36th after parking on lap 30.
Included in that haul was one of the most famous caughts-and-bowled ever taken. Ulyett sent down a straight half-volley to Bonnor, who drove at it with all his considerable might and got it right out of the middle of the bat. The ball flew back towards the bowler with a resounding crack. It seemed to Ulyett barely to have left his hand—yet already it was flying back to him at what seemed like the speed of light.
The only other ARCA race Empire ran in 2014 was at Salem in September with Cody Erickson, who drove for the team at the Truck race at Eldora earlier in the year. The next station was West Fen Drove, this was at the east end of West Fen Drove at the point where the metalled road ends. The third station was Burnt House, this was on the road now known as Burnthouse Sidings which heads east from Burnthouse Farm. After this the line curved slightly to the west and followed what is now a byway to Jones Drove station, near Garton House where the byway makes a sharp bend. After this, the line is difficult to trace.
Also, he drove at Talladega in the No. 22 Dodge for Cunningham Motorsports, the car that won that race the previous year with Blake Jones driving. He would go on to earn a top-10 finish after qualifying ninth for the race. When John Wes Townley got a concussion before the Truck Series race at Eldora, Boswell was selected to fill in for him that weekend in his Athenian Motorsports team's No. 05 Chevrolet. In his series debut, he started 16th and finished 21st.

On November 22, 2017, it was announced that Black would return to the 51 for a full 2018 season with a charter. The team did not disclose how they had acquired the charter.
For the final round of the 2007 British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton, he raced for SEAT Sport UK to help them win the team's championship and the drivers championship for Jason Plato. In both 2005 and 2006 he drove at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Spyker, but failed to finish in both attempts. In 2008, Coronel competed in the brand- new SUNRED SEAT Team in another León. He got his podium in Oschersleben and remains one of the most popular WTCC drivers.
After failing to make a Cup race in 2003, Long returned to the Glenn Racing Dodge in 2004. In their first race together, Long's car flipped several times in a violent accident at the Subway 400, the final Cup race ever held at North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina. Long was uninjured and returned to the series in the following Cup event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, driving for fellow independent Hermie Sadler. Long then drove at Pocono Raceway for the McGlynn Racing operation, finishing 41st.
Da Matta said the circuit was faster than the drivers anticipated though he felt the speeds of the cars drove at exceeded those normally considered safe and that overtaking was difficult. Tracy stated the Rockingham Motor Speedway was a good track to drive on, and felt it would be "a great facility" to show CART in the United Kingdom. Drivers did not criticise the problems that affected the event. De Ferran stated that similar problems had occurred at several race tracks across the United States.
Larkham missed a place in the team for that years Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst when the team was joined by British Sierra expert Andy Rouse. The Brock team had switched to Sierra's at the start of 1989 using car's purchased from Rouse with part of the deal being that the multiple BTCC winner would be Brock's co-driver at Bathurst. Co-driving with Jones in the car Larkham drove at Sandown was young Kiwi hotshot Paul Radisich who unlike Larkham had previous Bathurst experience.
The Dome S102.5 that Bourdais drove at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans. Bourdais has frequently contested the famous 24-hour race of his home town, entering for the first time in 1999 (aged only 20) in a Porsche 911 GT2 run by Larbre Compétition. The car, which he shared with Pierre de Thoisy and Jean-Pierre Jarier, retired after 134 laps with engine failure. He returned in 2000, finishing fourth with Emmanuel Clérico and Olivier Grouillard for the Pescarolo team behind the three dominant Audis.
Danica Patrick drove at Daytona International Speedway but fell out early from a blown engine. The No. 34 team returned at Talladega, with Patrick once again behind the wheel, but was taken out on lap 16 by her teammate Kyle Larson, and would finish 39th. The team's third start came at Road America with James Buescher, who would finish 14th. Buescher and the No. 34 team would return to Daytona in July, where Buescher would finish a surprising 2nd to race winner Matt Kenseth.
Later that season he drove at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Byrd-Cunningham Racing and finished 26th after a mechanical issue on lap 62. He drove in the first race of the 1998 season at Phoenix for Cobb Racing but suffered an engine failure 99 laps in. He failed to qualify for the 1998 Indianapolis 500 in the same car and his entry failed to arrive at the race the following week at Texas Motor Speedway despite being entered. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado.
The team finished a remarkable 9th overall out of the 70-car field. For 2007, Baas drove at Speed Porsche 997 in Rolex GT with co-driver Bob Miller. Also that season, he drove in the Stasis Audi A4 in Speed World Challenge Touring Car, racing against old teammate Randy Pobst. In 2009 KONI Challenge Series driving a Volkswagen GTI for APR Motorsport Finished fifth in Street Tuner points standings, winning first career KONI race at Barber Motorsports Park with co- driver Josh Hurley and APR Motorsport.
However, the deal fell through. Gase drove at Las Vegas for Premium Motorsports' No. 55, also drove the No. 00 for StarCom Racing at Talladega's spring race and Coke Zero 400 and the No. 23 for BK Racing at Darlington. In conjunction with his Xfinity ride with MBM for 2019, Gase also joined the team's Cup program, driving the No. 66 Toyota part-time starting with the Daytona 500. For the Digital Ally 400 at Kansas, he drove a second MBM car, the No. 46.
Truex competed in six NASCAR Nationwide Series events, beginning at Gateway International Raceway on July 17, 2010. Truex was intended to run for Rookie of the Year in 2011 with MWR. However, motocross stunt performer Travis Pastrana ran the No. 99 for 7 races. Truex's plan was to skip ROTY and run 10 consecutive races in the Nationwide Series, then 20 races in 2012, though surgery forced him out of the 99 at Texas and was replaced by David Reutimann and team owner Waltrip, who drove at the restrictor plate tracks.
For the Daytona 500, Michael Waltrip drove the car with sponsorship from Maxwell House. DiBenedetto scored the team's best finish to date at Bristol Motor Speedway in April, finishing sixth; the finish was BK's first top ten since Kvapil's eighth-place run in the 2012 Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 at Talladega. For the following race at Richmond, DiBenedetto acquired sponsorship from E. J. Wade Construction. Dylan Lupton drove the No. 83 at the Richmond fall race, while Jeffrey Earnhardt drove at the Talladega fall race with sponsorship from Starter Clothing Line.
In 2014, Scott Lagasse Jr. drove at both Daytona races with "Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow" as the sponsor. Kenny Wallace ran a single race at Iowa Speedway with U.S. Cellular as his sponsor, starting and finishing 19th. Kelly Admiraal ran three races with a best finish of 22nd twice. In August, Milka Duno signed with the team to run select events, only qualifying for two races out of five attempts (Duno ran the season-finale at Homestead using the owners points of NEMCO Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing's 87 team).
Moffat and Bond split at the end of the 1978 season and Moffat continued racing in Falcons until the 1980 Bathurst race when he competed for the last time in a Ford Falcon with the XD model. In 1980 he competed in various cars and in various countries. He drove a Porsche 934 turbo to win the Australian Sports Car Championship. He also drove at the 1980 24 Hours of Le Mans, sharing a Porsche 935 turbo with future Indycar legend Bobby Rahal, where they were forced to withdraw whilst in fourth place.
According to a police statement about a crackdown on a crowd of anti-government protesters in the village of Nuwaidrat on 17 May, one protestor was injured in the head followed by the injury of nine policemen deliberately hit by a car. After one of the protesters was injured in the head, his brother got into his car and drove at full speed into the policemen. Of the nine policemen, four were injured seriously and five were wounded less seriously. The police stated that the driver was injured.

In January 2012, RAB Racing announced that Wallace would be attempting to qualify for the 2012 Daytona 500, driving the American Ethanol-sponsored No. 09 Toyota Camry. The team suffered fuel pump issues in the Gatorade Duel and failed to qualify for the race. In July 2012, Wallace was guaranteed a ride for one race in the No. 22 Penske Racing Nationwide car, but Sam Hornish, Jr. was given the ride.

McLaughlin made his debut in the Supercars Championship at the Sandown 500 in 2012, as a co-driver to Jonathon Webb at Tekno Autosports. The pair performed well at both Sandown and Bathurst, finishing in tenth place at Sandown and in sixth place at Bathurst. McLaughlin also drove at the Sydney 500 for Garry Rogers Motorsport after Alexandre Prémat was forced out of the Sunday race due to extreme heat exhaustion the day before. McLaughlin was later signed by Garry Rogers Motorsport as a full-time driver for the 2013 season.

McDowell was chosen to drive the No. 00 Cup Series car in 2008 after Dale Jarrett's retirement; David Reutimann replaced Jarrett in the No. 44 UPS-sponsored car.

After 2013 Grand-Am and ALMS merged to form the Tudor United SportsCar Championship sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association. Kanaan would begin to compete in the new series for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates in the No. 02 Riley MkXXVI-Ford EcoBoost 3.5L Turbo V6 in the P class. Kanaan first drove at the Rolex 24 at Daytona with sponsorship from Telcel and Target and co-drivers Scott Dixon, Kyle Larson and Marino Franchitti. The car would start 5th in its class and finish 8th after retiring after completing 667 laps.
Despite the initial announcement of a full-time campaign for Green, Matt Mills brought sponsorship from Thompson Electric and he drove the car at Phoenix and Richmond. After Charlotte, B. J. McLeod starting driving the No. 8 in every race besides the Daytona July race when Green returned to the team for one race. Josh Bilicki drove the No. 8 at the road course races. Tommy Joe Martins drove at Richmond's fall race and Caesar Bacarella ran the final two races (Phoenix and Homestead-Miami) for the team.
It was the first time since 2007 that he drove at Montreal due to his altercation with Marcos Ambrose (see below) due to having made amends by skipping the next races at the track. He dominated the last 20 laps of the race but ran out of fuel with two laps to go handing the win to colleague veteran Boris Said and resulted in the top 20 in the finish. In 2011 he drove his No. 77 Mapei car at Montreal. He led 5 laps but broke down from engine failure, finishing 31st.
On 31 August 1999, Ahmed was on motorcycle patrol in Miles Platting, in central Manchester, when he saw a suspected stolen Vauxhall Nova in the traffic ahead of him. Also in the stolen car were the driver's 27-year-old girlfriend, Sandra Reynolds, and her two daughters, aged eight and twelve. Ickx entered his first Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in 1966, driving a Matra MS5-Cosworth one-litre Formula Two (F2) car, entered by Ken Tyrrell. However, a first lap collision with John Taylor caused both cars to retire and Taylor later died as a result of burns received in the accident. In 1967, Ickx again drove at the Nurburgring, with an F2 Matra MS7-Cosworth 1.6-litre, also entered by Tyrrell. Despite the greater power of the Formula One cars, only two drivers qualified with a faster time than Ickx: Denny Hulme and Jim Clark.
In the Italian race, Ickx drove at competitive pace in a Grand Prix for the last time, when he finished tenth, only 30 seconds behind winner Ronnie Peterson, hard on the tail of Carlos Reutemann in a works Ferrari 312T2 in ninth. After a bad crash at the United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen which he was lucky to have survived with only ankle injuries, Ickx only competed sporadically. The chase scene featured two Lola T70 Mk III race cars being chased by Yamaha TA125/250cc two-stroke, race-replica motorcycles through two San Francisco Bay Area automotive tunnels: the Caldecott Tunnel between Oakland and Orinda; and the underwater Posey Tube between Oakland and Alameda. According to Caleb Deschanel, cars drove at speeds of while filming the chase. Other cars appearing in several scenes of the movie include the custom-built Ferrari Thomassima cars; one of them is on display in the Ferrari museum in Modena, Italy."Thomassima III is on display in the new Ferrari Museum in Modena".

Comedian Harold Lloyd highlighted the popularity and utility of the system in an extended sequence in his 1924 film Girl Shy, where, after finding one Red Car too crowded, he commandeered another and drove at high speed through the streets of Culver City and Los Angeles. PE operated frequent freight trains under electric power throughout its service area (as far as 65 miles) to Redlands, including operating electrically powered Railway Post Office routes, one of the few U.S. interurbans to do so. Brabham was about to hold off the onrushing Rindt (the eventual 1970 F1 champion) when his front wheels locked in a skid on the sharp right turn only yards from the finish and he ended up second. While leading at the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch, he ran out of fuel at Clearways and Rindt passed him to take the win while Brabham coasted to the finish in second place. After the 13th and final race of the season, the Mexican Grand Prix, Brabham did retire. He had tied Jackie Stewart for fifth in the points standings in the season he drove at the age of 44.
RCR said the move was for precautionary reasons, but Townley never returned to the team and would return to his former team RAB Racing. Clint Bowyer took over driving duties at Phoenix, and Scott Riggs drove at Nashville and Kentucky in June. Zaxby's, meanwhile, scaled back to sponsoring 21 of the season's 35 races. After the July Daytona race, Morgan Shepherd stepped behind the wheel for several weeks, taking a break for Bristol to handle his own car for Faith Motorsports, which didn't make the field. RCR and Shepherd formed Shepherd Racing Ventures on August 31 to keep the No. 21 running the rest of the year.
The Toyota TS040 Hybrid that Buemi drove at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans Buemi also signed a deal to contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota Motorsport GmbH, driving a Toyota TS030 Hybrid with Anthony Davidson and Hiroaki Ishiura (who later withdrew and was replaced by Stéphane Sarrazin). After a strong performance, the car was running in third position in the early evening when Davidson collided with a GT Ferrari and crashed heavily. In 2013, Buemi continued driving with Toyota for a full season and ended with third place in the drivers' championship. For the 2014 season, he drove Toyota's new car – the Toyota TS040 Hybrid.
He returned to CART for two races at the end of the 1988 season and made his first start at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course but was knocked out by engine failure after 30 laps. He also drove at Laguna Seca Raceway a month later but suffered a broken gearbox 31 laps in. He subsequently returned to sports cars and was a multiple race winner in the IMSA GT Championship. He also made three NASCAR Winston Cup starts in 1989 on the road courses at Sears Point and Watkins Glen, finishing 22nd and 12th, and on the oval at Richmond International Raceway, finishing 30th.
At the season-opening Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida the car started 17th overall and 2nd in its class. The car completed 300 laps to win its class and finish 20th overall. Hunter-Reay finished 4th in the LMP2 drivers standings with 30 points while Level 5 Motorsports won the LMP2 teams championship with 130 points. For 2012 Hunter-Reay drove at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring for Level 5 Motorsports in the #95 Siemens/Alpina Watches/Ohiya Casino Resort HPD ARX-03b-Honda HR28TT 2.8 L Turbo V6 with Scott Tucker and Luis Díaz in the P2 class.
Without sponsorship, Melling ran Phil Parsons for the first two races in the 1992 season and had a top-ten finish at the Daytona 500. After that, the team ran a part-time schedule with Dorsey Schroeder, Dave Mader III, and Bill Schmitt driving, before Chad Little finished the season. The team continued running a part-time schedule with Little and Greg Sacks driving at the beginning of the season, along with P. J. Jones in the second half of the season. After Joe Ruttman drove at Daytona, Rich Bickle drove for ten races and had only one top-20 finish, causing him to be replaced by Parsons later on.
Johnny Sauter in the No. 13 at Dover International Speedway in 2019 The No. 13 truck began racing in 2004, with Tina Gordon driving with sponsorship from Vassarette and Microtel. After five races, she left the team due to injuries she suffered at Atlanta, and Lance Hooper and Paul White shared the ride for the next several races. After several lackluster results, Jimmy Spencer drove at Loudon, finishing eighteenth, before Jason Small and Andy Houston finished out the season in the truck. For 2005, Tracy Hines drove the truck and had a fifth- place finish at Richmond International Raceway with sponsorship from David Zoriki Motorsports.
Other drivers that drove the car included Bodine, Scott Lynch, Carlos Pardo, Kertus Davis, Mike Bliss, Jason Keller, Jeff Fuller and Kim Crosby. For Frank Cicci Racing's 20th year in the Busch Series the team was set to run the full 2007 season with new driver Brian Conz, coming over from the ARCA RE/MAX Series, with Scottish Rite as the sponsor. After Steve Grissom drove at Daytona, it was reported that Cicci has placed Conz and his sponsor on notice for failing to pay its financial obligations. Jay Sauter was to drive the car for most of the 2007 season, but the team suspended operations in April.
In 2005 Fernández himself only drove at the Indianapolis 500 in a joint effort with Mo Nunn Racing. The team had two branches under their banner: Delphi Fernandez Racing, which ran Scott Sharp, and Super Aguri Fernandez Racing, co-owned by Aguri Suzuki, that ran Kosuke Matsuura. The team has also branched into the Grand-Am ranks, under the Lowe's Fernandez Racing guise, fielding a Daytona Prototype for drivers Fernandez and Mario Haberfeld. For 2007, Fernández ended his involvement in both the IndyCar Series and Grand-Am series, with his partner Aguri Suzuki and driver Kosuke Matsuura leaving to join Panther Racing in the IndyCar Series.
According to numerous ICTY verdicts and indictments, Serb and Croat forces performed ethnic cleansing of their territories planned by their political leadership to create ethnically pure states (Republika Srpska and Republic of Serbian Krajina by the Serbs; and Herzeg-Bosnia by the Croats). According to the ICTY, Serb forces from the SAO Krajina deported at least 80–100,000 Croats and other non-Serb civilians in 1991–92 and at least 700,000 Albanians in Kosovo in 1999. Further hundreds of thousands of Muslims were forced out of their homes by the Serb forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By one estimate, the Serb forces drove at least 700,000 Bosnian Muslims from the area of Bosnia under their control.
Kroger and General Mills sponsored at the Daytona 500 with Elliott Sadler driving. Brendan Gaughan drove the next four races with his family's South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa on the car. Elliott's brother Hermie Sadler then drove at Martinsville with Anderson's Maple Syrup sponsoring. This would be the last race for the 33 under RCR control, fielded as a collaboration with the new team ownership (see below). In April 2012, Childress announced that he sold the No. 33 to Joe Falk and Mike Hillman, Sr., who had fielded the No. 40 twice earlier in the season but had yet to qualify for a race. However, they kept the number 33, with the team assuming the name Circle Sport.
He is the first Israeli racing driver to compete in some of the higher levels of the international racing sports, such as International Formula 3000 and World Series Lights. Nissany is the first Israeli who participated at a Formula One Grand Prix weekend, on his birthday, 29 July 2005, in the first free practice session of the 2005 Hungarian Grand Prix, when he drove at the Hungaroring as one of the official test drivers of the Minardi F1 Team. He was 6.8 seconds slower than teammate Christijan Albers in free practice at the event. After spinning the car, he was unable to take the steering wheel out of his Minardi so he was recovered with the car.
The fame of Cottin & Desgouttes was also due to their participation in a number of car races. As soon as May 1906, a Cottin & Desgouttes car driven by engineer Auguste Fraignac won the Limonest race in its category. Encouraged by this excellent result, the company decided to participate in more and more important races, from the Press Cup in 1907 (where their car achieved the best gas mileage) to the Grand Prix de France in 1911, in Le Mans, where the specially built model set the lap record before having to abandon due to steering problems. Cyrille Cottin, a great sportsman himself, drove at a number of races, rallies or other sports events.
Nemechek would once again run primarily in the Truck Series for 2019, splitting time between the No. 8 and 87, sharing the trucks with multiple drivers. Nemechek also returned to Xfinity competition, driving the No. 13 for MBM Motorsports, and the No. 17 for Mike Harmon Racing. In September, Nemechek raced in the Monster Energy Cup Series for the first time since 2015, returning to Premium Motorsports (formerly Identity Ventures) in their No. 27 car for the Bojangles' Southern 500 as part of the annual throwback weekend. Nemechek later drove at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the team in September and said that more races in 2019 or 2020 weren't out of the question.
Piestewa was a member of the US Army's 507th Maintenance Company, a support unit of maintenance and repair personnel. Her company was traveling in a convoy through the desert and was meant to bypass Nasiriyah, in southern Iraq, during the opening days of the war; but the convoy got lost and ran into an ambush in Nasiriyah on March 23, 2003. As Piestewa came under "a torrent of fire" (in the words of an Army investigation of the battle) she drove at high speed, evading enemy fire until a rocket-propelled grenade hit her Humvee.Attack on the 507th Maintenance Company The explosion sent her vehicle into the rear of a disabled tractor- trailer.
One of Max's art galleries, at The Forum Shops at Caesars in 2008 Max has been the official artist for many major events, including the 1994 World Cup, the Grammy Awards, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Super Bowl and others. In 2000, Max designed the paint scheme Dale Earnhardt drove at the Winston all-star race, deviating from Earnhardt's trademark black car. He was also the Official Artist of the 2000 World Series, the "Subway Series" between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. Max first painted Taylor Swift's portrait as a gift to the singer for her Grammy-winning albums Fearless and Speak Now, and has recently painted new portraits of Taylor Swift to commemorate her worldwide success.
Stremme's engine failed on lap 157 and his car spun in front of a small pack of traffic after his car dropped oil on the track, causing the seventh caution. The leaders, which included Kenseth, made pit stops and some for two tires. Under caution, Montoya reported to his team that he felt a vibration on his car after leaving pit road; he returned to his pit box on lap 159 where his pit crew checked underneath his car for the vibration which they could not find. He then drove at racing speed after rejoining the track at turn two to catch up with the pace car when a rear trailing arm on his car broke at turn three where two jet dryers were clearing debris.

On July 16, 1970, two teenagers, who were following a KHJ DJ in separate cars, drove at speeds up to 80 miles per hour so that they could be closest to him when the next contest was announced.Id. at 45. One of the teenagers forced 32-year-old Ronald Weirum's car off the road; Weirum was killed when his car overturned.

The team would finish 5th in the LMP2 standings with 98 points. Kanaan would return in 2008 in the No. 26 XM Satellite Radio Acura ARX-01b-Acura AL7R 3.4 L V8 for Andretti Green Racing.
The judiciary is convinced that the group around Anouar Taghi delivered cars to the perpetrators of the murder, such as the Renault Mégane and the Volkswagen Transporter that appear to have been used for pre-observations. In Taghi's home the police found equipment for tracking cars and jammers, for disrupting means of communication: things that are frequently used in the harsh criminal environment, including during liquidations. The Renault Mégane, who drove at least 26 times through the street where Wiersum lived in August, was signaled during a police operation in Taghi's warehouse in Utrecht in the same month. The judiciary says Anouar Taghi ordered a few days after the murder to set the Renault Mégane on fire, the car was found burned out in Voorburg.
Public interest was intense and every aspect of the trial was the subject of media interest. On 30 August 1953 huge crowds gathered at the Sydney Showground (Moore Park) to watch as 192 cars left at three-minute intervals, and over the next week many hundreds of thousands took time to watch as the competitors made their way through the various towns along the route. A common criticism of the trial was the number of competitors who drove at dangerously high speeds to recover time lost in a stage. Another was the advantages enjoyed by sponsored teams: apart from the benefit of support crews along the way, because the route was published in detail a month prior, they were able to have a "practice run" around the course in the weeks before the event.
The team would then make the races at both Texas and Bristol due to only 40 cars entered for both races, at Richmond there were 41 cars entered for the race but when qualifying was rained out and the field was set by practice speeds, the 55 team made the race due to being third fastest of the non- charter teams in practice. The 55 was driven by Michael Waltrip at Talladega; his 12th place would remain Robinson's best ever in Cup until the next restrictor plate race. Sorenson drove the next several races before being placed in the No. 98 starting at Pocono, with 98 driver Cole Whitt taking his place at this race and at Michigan, while Cody Ware drove at Sonoma; however, Ware failed to qualify. Sorenson returned at Daytona.
The lead only lasted five minutes, however, as Nemanja Vidić failed to deal with a long ball from Liverpool's Martin Škrtel and Fernando Torres punished his error with a cool finish past United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar. The match went from bad to worse for the hosts just before the break when Patrice Evra tripped Steven Gerrard in the penalty area and Gerrard scored the resulting spot kick. After the break, United drove at Liverpool in an attempt to find an equaliser, but Vidić was sent off after hauling down Gerrard on the edge of the penalty area and Fábio Aurélio scored the free kick to give Liverpool a 3–1 lead. In injury time, Andrea Dossena compounded United's misery by chipping Van der Sar to score Liverpool's fourth and close the gap at the top of the table to four points.
On September 29, the four terrorists arrived in Paris, and on October 6 they split into two groups. Chernozemski and Kralj moved to Marseille, where the king was expected to arrive on October 9, and Pospišil, and Milan Rajic, moved to Versailles where they planned a second attack in case of failure of the first one. On 9 October 1934, Chernozemski carried out the murder, after concluding that the other members of the group were unprepared psychologically. As King Alexander's motorcade drove at a few miles per hour down a Marseille street in front of an adoring crowd, Chernozemski was able to emerge from the crowd, approach the king's car and leap onto its running board while concealing his Mauser C96 automatic pistol in a bouquet of flowers and chanting "Vive le roi" ("long live the king").
Jim Hunter (born May 30, 1953), nicknamed "Jungle Jim", is a Canadian former alpine ski racer who represented Canada at two Winter Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976, and won a bronze medal in the 1972 World Championships. He was a member of the Canadian Men's Alpine Ski Team nicknamed the "Crazy Canucks", and is considered to be the original Crazy Canuck. Hunter was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of a dairy farmer, and started skiing at the age of eleven having previously played ice hockey. Hunter had a reputation as an off-beat individual; he practiced his racing tuck position atop a rack he built and placed in a pick-up truck as his father drove at over , and tested his balance by placing himself in the wheel of a moving tractor and jumping out.
Later findings showed that Dean's car was not racing but that he drove at 70mph and was braking hard before the accident. The first witnesses of the scene driving behind Turnupseed, Tom Frederick, 28, and his 15-year-old brother-in-law Don Dooley, testified at the coroner's inquest that Rolf Wütherich was actually driving the car and that James Dean sat in the passenger's seat. The inquest was only looking into the possibility of criminal wrongdoing by Turnupseed ("What we want to find out is who this person was, and how he came to his death, whether there was negligence on the part of Mr. Turnupseed, or whether there wasn’t."), such that the final landing position of Wütherich, on the road next to the driver's side after being ejected from the spinning Spyder, was not germane to the inquest.
With sponsorship from Enzed Fluid Connectors, and extra support from the Giltrap Motor Group from New Zealand, Perkins Engineering debuted a Holden VK Commodore SS Group A at the Castrol 500 at Sandown Raceway with David Parsons co-driving. Parsons again co-drove at Bathurst, though the team lost an hour of the race when the cars gearbox was replaced. Parsons also co-drove with Perkins at the Wellington 500 in January 1987, before Perkins decided he needed a more experienced co-driver after Parsons crashed the Commodore and Larry teamed with World Champion Denny Hulme to win the Pukekohe 500 at the Pukekohe Park Raceway south of Auckland. Perkins campaigned the VK through the 1987 season with mixed results, though with some justification he did claim he had the "fastest Group A Commodore in the world".
After crashing out of four out of the first ten races of the season (and crashing in practice also), Stenhouse was replaced by Brian Ickler for three races and Billy Johnson drove at Watkins Glen. After taking on veteran Mike Kelley as crew chief, Stenhouse immediately responded with a third-place finish at Daytona. He proceeded to take seven top tens and was locked in a tight battle for Rookie of the Year (ROTY) with Brian Scott. With Scott struggling after his release from Turner Motorsports, Stenhouse took the ROTY award after a fourth-place finish at Homestead. 2011 Nationwide championship car at Road America On May 22, 2011, Stenhouse held off charges from Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski for the final 18 laps to claim his first win in the John Deere Dealers 250 at Iowa Speedway, his 51st start in the Nationwide Series.
After midnight they drove at the Heinrich-Heine-Straße border crossing at about 70 km/h (44 mph), breaking through the first two boom barriers, and a soldier of the East German border guards fired a total of 14 shots at the vehicle. The truck came to a halt on the West Berlin side after hitting a wall, but Brueske had died and his friends were injured, and all three were taken to the hospital. Brueske was pronounced dead, and an autopsy of his corpse revealed that he had suffered two non-fatal gunshot injuries to the neck, instead Brueske had suffocated in the sand loaded on the back of the truck, which had poured into the cab due to the impact with the wall. The Royal Motor Union of Liège, Belgium, organisers of the Liège-Rome-Liège Rally (and later the Liège-Sofia-Liège and other events), under its Commissaire-Général Maurice Garot, decided to create a rally specifically for these tiny cars, to test them thoroughly and find out which, if any, were really capable of transporting two people at a good speed over all types of road conditions. For 1994 Fabi drove for the re-organized Hall Racing (VDS Racing withdrew from the team following 1993) in the No. 11 Pennzoil Reynard 94i-Ilmor Indy V8.
Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 at 24 Hours of Le Mans ; IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Krohn Racing competed in a partial IMSA TUDOR schedule with full-time drivers Tracy Krohn and Nic Jönsson, including the four North American Endurance Challenge events within the IMSA schedule, and also the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 6 Hours of COTA with the WEC. The team finished seventh at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, fourth at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring, eleventh at the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and eleventh at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen, and ninth at Petit Le Mans, all in the GTE-LM class. Andrea Bertolini and Peter Dumbreck co-drove at the 24 Hours at Daytona, and Bertolini joined Krohn and Jönsson for the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans. ; ACO/FIA World Endurance Championship Krohn Racing finished 10th in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France with ex-Stig Ben Collins co-driving with Tracy Krohn and Nic Jonsson in the GTE-Am class.

The team disbanded while Rogers concentrated on his Nissan dealership and he drove for other teams at the Bathurst 1000, including Allan Browne's Re-Car team in 1982 paired with Ron Wanless (who famously drove the Commodore the wrong direction through pit lane without incurring a penalty). Rogers was a top 10 qualifier at Bathurst in 1983, partnering Clive Benson- Brown to a 13th-place finish after suffering brake problems, while in 1984 he drove with Melbourne's motor racing 'Gentleman', Captain Peter Janson in the Castrol 500 at Sandown, and the James Hardie 1000 at Bathurst in Janson's Commodore. The car failed to finish both endurance races. As Australian touring car racing went to regulations based on FIA Group A from 1985, Rogers once again only drove at Sandown and Bathurst, teaming with Melbourne solicitor Jim Keogh in Keogh's ex-JPS Team BMW 635 CSi. After not finishing at Sandown, the pair finished 6th outright at Bathurst, 4 laps behind the TWR Jaguar XJS of John Goss and Armin Hahne. GRM re-emerged in 1986 when he purchased a BMW 635 CSi from JPS Team BMW and drove it throughout that year's touring car season. The year included a win in one of the AMSCAR Series races at Amaroo Park.
