Dreams allow a gratification of certain drives through a visual fantasy, or the manifest content. This reduces the impact of these drives from the id, which might often cause the dreamer to wake in order to fulfill them. In layman's terms, dreams allow certain needs to be fulfilled without the conscious mind needing to be aware of such fulfillment. However, the manifest content is not comprehensive, because it consists of a distorted version of the latent content.

At bedtime, the husband cannot sleep as he is kept awake by a cockerel, a watch-carrying woman, a postman and an emu wandering through his bedroom. In the next scene, the husband visits his doctor, who dismisses these nighttime experiences as apparitions despite the fact that the husband has physical evidence in the form of a letter from the nocturnal postman. The evidence is never considered as the doctor's nurse interrupts the conversation to tell her employer that she must visit her sick father. The nurse drives through a rainy night, meeting a military tank on the road that is apparently hunting foxes.

Kiarostami produced 10 on Ten (2004), a journal documentary that shares ten lessons on movie-making while he drives through the locations of his past films. The movie is shot on digital video with a stationary camera mounted inside the car, in a manner reminiscent of Taste of Cherry and Ten. In 2005 and 2006, he directed The Roads of Kiarostami, a 32-minute documentary that reflects on the power of landscape, combining austere black-and-white photographs with poetic observations, engaging music with political subject matter. Also in 2005, Kiarostami contributed the central section to Tickets, a portmanteau film set on a train traveling through Italy.

But the weather effects are fairly realistic, and the night drives through the gloom are actually rather pretty. The backgrounds during the Speed and Buggy modes are realistic and colorful, although not widely varied." Preston concluded that Beetle Crazy Cup was an "unpretentious little game that doesn't claim to be anything more than a budget title." Rich Rouse of IGN wrote that the game had "quite possibly the most entertaining comedic intro in the history of PC racing games," and noted the use of the words "Beetle Racin'" several times in the introduction sequence, "as if to signify that this was the title of the game when it in fact should read 'Beetle Crazy Cup.

Ashley (2007), p. 84. In 1969, an issue of F&SF; was priced at 50 cents; by the end of the 1970s the price had gone up to $1.25, although the page count also rose, from 128 to 160 pages.Ashley (2007), pp. 86–87. Circulation did not suffer, but rose from 50,000 to over 60,000, partly because of subscription drives through Publishers' Clearing House, and perhaps also because the magazine's quality remained consistent throughout the decade.Ashley (2007), p. 326. In Ashley's words, "F&SF; delivered the goods month after month": the schedule was reliable, the format remained unchanged, and the editor remained the same from 1965 throughout the next two decades and more.Ashley (2007), p. 88.Ashley (2007), p. 386.

Ikuhara felt episodes like "On the Night of the Ball", where Utena stressed itself as a "shōjo manga anime", were "absolutely necessary" for the show's later development. Susan J. Napier wrote that Utena "uses the trappings of fairy tales (the castle, the prince) and more traditional shōjo manga (beautiful girls and boys, romantic intrigue) to critique the illusions they offer", and that in the series Utena must make her way past these illusions to get to reality. The image of Anthy with her suitcase at the end of the series, Napier posits, suggests that inspired by Utena's example Anthy is now "taking charge of her own life and breaking free of the incestuous coils that her brother has wound around her". This "liberation" becomes more explicit in the film, where Utena turns into a car which Anthy drives through an escape route to the "real world".
John Hantz, twenty- year Detroit native and CEO of Hantz Group, proposed Hantz Woodlands as a way to remedy blight, increase neighborhood safety, and stop the decline of Detroit property values. Blighted areas can have negative psychological impacts on community members and lead to higher crime rates. Removing blight can help improve how outsiders and community members view the community and increase their desire to invest in the area. During his daily drives through Detroit, Hantz noticed the countless empty lots and decaying houses, many of which were in foreclosure and/or were in city ownership, that he passed on his route. Many of the lots in the areas that would later become part of Hantz Woodlands are on blocks that have been characterized by Data Driven Detroit as blocks that are “least active, with less density, more abandonment, and a high concentration of vacant lots” or areas with high numbers of vacant lots and lower occupancy levels mixed with “quality housing stock.
In contrast, CNN reported in the same year that "security industry experts generally don't consider Anonymous a major player in the world of cybercrime" due to the group's reliance on DDoS attacks that briefly disabled websites rather than the more serious damage possible through hacking. One security consultant compared the group to "a jewelry thief that drives through a window, steal jewels, and rather than keep them, waves them around and tosses them out to a crowd ... They're very noisy, low-grade crimes." In its 2013 Threats Predictions report, McAfee wrote that the technical sophistication of Anonymous was in decline and that it was losing supporters due to "too many uncoordinated and unclear operations". Graham Cluley, a security expert for Sophos, argued that Anonymous' actions against child porn websites hosted on a darknet could be counterproductive, commenting that while their intentions may be good, the removal of illegal websites and sharing networks should be performed by the authorities, rather than Internet vigilantes.
The next 16 tracks on A Day Late and a Dollar Short are from a January 1993 reunion with Rutherford. Joe Queer had revived the Queers in the mid-1980s, with a number of members coming and going from the lineup over the next several years and sporadic recording sessions resulting in the band's first album, 1990's Grow Up. By this time the lineup had solidified with Queer, drummer Hugh O'Neill, and bassist Chris "B-Face" Barnard, who recorded the band's second album, Love Songs for the Retarded, in November 1992. Wimpy Rutherford had left Portsmouth, but returned for the Christmas holidays that December. While in town, he rejoined the Queers for some live performances and to record some of the songs they had written in the early 1980s but had not recorded, including "Wimpy Drives Through Harlem", "I Like Young Girls", "Nobody Likes Me", "I'm Nowhere at All", "Nothing to Do", and a cover version of Richard Harris's 1968 hit "MacArthur Park".

It was not always like this though and it was nothing short of a labour of love that transformed this dry scrub land into an oasis carpeted with lush green lawns, broken only by amazing hues from well- maintained flower beds, a great variety of trees and a multitude of shrubs.
