The Ashen One traverses the Earthen Peak, an area encountered in Dark Souls II, before fighting a boss known as the Demon Prince. Victorious, the player travels to the Ringed City, an ancient city of Pygmies, the ancestors of humanity, which has fallen into the Abyss.

Toyah's mother, Janice (Vicky Entwistle), threw him out in 1984 when Toyah was only two years old, calling him "Ronnie Clegg, useless dreg". He ended up in London, spending time in Wormwood Scrubs and sharing a cell with Neil Flynn (Tim Dantay).

It is revealed that the spa is a "fakation", a place designed to look like a vacation but in a fabricated environment. The spa's system, which tracks all the guests, shows Benni outside the spa, so the survivors go out to rescue him. From the vehicle, the group sees the uninhabitable desolation of the orphan planet they are on, Orphan 55. The vehicle is caught in a Dreg trap and the Dregs surround it, keeping Benni as a hostage.

Mason helps the South League defend their from a rival syndicate called Dreg Lords, and he is introduced to their leader, Knox, who offers him alliance and protection against the Sentinels. After doing a few jobs for Knox, he is hired for one final job; destroying Sentinels' generators that power their propaganda broadcasts with bomb-planted RC cars.

It turns out that they want to hire them to go to Las Vegas to complete a task: to catch Peter Chu, a man who was in charge of multiple Tofu-dreg projects in the past few years in China, and then stole a large amount of money and fled to the United States. Because Chu is backed by many American politicians and organised gangs, they could not use diplomatic and legal channels to extradite him, they could only send a few gambling experts to catch him in the Caesars Palace casino where he visits daily. King and Luk would receive $120,000,000 as a reward.

In this harsh reality it is revealed that Quentin was examined by the Shadow King and found to be an unstable, mildly talented telepath with apparently no usefulness to Weapon Omega. Quentin finds a way to create a kind of "psychic pyramid scheme" known as the Overmind by using minor "dreg" telepaths, the Mind Dolls, and uses this to increase his own limited skills, something the Shadow King didn't expected or even dreamed off. Sensing the boy's growing mental abilities, the Shadow King puts a bounty on him.Age of Apocalypse #5 (September 2012) Prophet, leader of a group of human freedom fighters, and Jean Grey tries to recruit him as an ally, however he takes instead Jean Grey into the mindscape and tries to force her into unleashing the Phoenix Force so he could increase more his own mental abilities, unaware that Jean had become powerless and the Phoenix Force has left her.
