The main negative thing to be said about Bunter is that he seems to have no other interest in life than serving Lord Peter; he is even ready to give up marriage rather than leave (Thrones, Dominations). However, this attitude must be seen in the context of early 20th century society, not that of the 21st century. In Strong Poison, Dorothy L. Sayers begins her exploration of Peter Wimsey's strange courtship and marriage to Harriet Vane. One effect of this is to eclipse Bunter, whose role reduces to that of the perfect servant in the background.

However, at the end of the case, when the culprit is to be hanged and Peter's nerves threaten to give way, Bunter and Harriet join forces to save him. Bunter was rewarded in a literary fashion by eventually marrying and having a child (Thrones, Dominations). This marriage is not the work of Miss Sayers, but of Miss Paton Walsh, who also gives him a son, Peter Meredith, born in December 1937. Peter attends Eton College, being in the same house as Wimsey's son Bredon (it is not stated how the fees are financed) and is a budding economist.

Despite that, the still living office-holders, including Stephen Ákos were styled themselves palatines until their death. When his namesake son's wedding took place in Diósgyőr in February 1303, Stephen Ákos was still a loyal partisan of Wenceslaus. When the cathedral chapter of Eger complaint to the royal court that Stephen unlawfully seized their lands, Wenceslaus reproved his courtier in his royal charter issued on 5 May 1303, and urged Stephen to stop dominations and the unlawful takeovers of church lands. Seven years later, in 1290, he countersigned that document too, which concluded a peace between the Rátót and Kacsics clans in Nógrád County after series of clashes and dominations, which resulted Leustach Kacsics' brutal murder and the devastation of his forts. In accordance with the treaty, Ladislaus Rátót engaged the late Leustach's sister. Alongside his brother Dominic, Ladislaus was considered a loyal supporter of King Andrew III from his coronation in 1290. Ladislaus and his kinship attended the assembly of the prelates, noblemen, Saxons, Székelys, and Cumans in Pest in the summer of 1298.

Altar of Saint Sebastian Basilica The main altar is made of polychrome marble, whose elevation depicts the elevation of a Roman temple with a symmetrical double interrupted pediment with central memorial stele. The whole recalls the style of the facade. Between the columns with their Corinthian capitals is a canvas depicting the Martyrdom of St. Sebastian where Irene of Rome in mourning retrieves the body of the saint, and a maid and St. Nicholas of Bari (former protector of the village of Barsalona) are kneeling, the work of Giacomo Conti in 1879. Completing the scene the Madonna in Glory, with Our Lady of Graces the co- Patron saint of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, is pictured between hosts of angels, cherubim and seraphim, thrones and dominations.

In effect, rather than killing off her detective, as Conan Doyle unsuccessfully tried with his, Sayers pensioned Wimsey off to a happy, satisfying old age. Thus, Peter Wimsey remained forever fixed on the background of inter-war England, and the books are nowadays often read for their evocation of that period as much as for the intrinsic detective mysteries. It was left to Jill Paton Walsh to extend Wimsey's career through and beyond the Second World War. In the continuations Thrones, Dominations, A Presumption of Death, The Attenbury Emeralds, and The Late Scholar, Harriet lives with the children at Talboys, Wimsey and Bunter have returned successfully from their secret mission in 1940, and his nephew Lord St. George is killed while serving as an RAF pilot in the Battle of Britain.

Historian Iván Bertényi Sr. called Nagymartoni's two-decade term as "the development of permanent of the institution of Judge royal". Beside his term as Judge royal, Paul Nagymartoni also served as castellan of Beszterce Castle (today Považský hrad in Slovakia) for more than twenty years Altogether 3000 documents were preserved, which related to the judicial activity of Nagymartoni and his professional staff. Most of the times, Nagymartoni judged in lawsuits between nobles, in addition to cases of dominations. Occasionally, he was also involved in ecclesiastical affairs, when the ownership rights of church lands were disputed between two church entities. For instance, his court discussed the conflict over the tithe between the Abbey Pannonhalma and the Diocese of Veszprém in 1341, which legitimacy was questioned and contested by the latter's lawyers.

Within the rural park, mostly consisting of the old lands of aristocratic family Morosin, a network of irrigation ditches flows. These ditches, called roste by locals, were built over the centuries under different dominations and still reach a number of municipalities well beyond the boundaries of the park. The park is thus a valuable testimony of the old holding structure in the area, before the urban drift of the last century. In the territory of the park there are also one of the last Roman unmade roads left in Veneto, the decumanus DD IX called Cavinón (that is, big cavìn, a word that in venetian language indicates a boundary path between two or more fields), and a small church dating back to the period of the Longobards, the church of San Giorgio (Saint George).

Since the eighteenth and the nineteenth centuries, throughout the Enlightenment and especially Romanticism, the study of the ancient religion of the Hungarians has been tied together with the debate about their ethnogenesis and the nature of their language. This search for the origins of the Hungarians has continued to be productive well into the twentieth century, especially as a means to build a strong national identity. According to scholars, this search was fueled by the experience of the Hungarians under foreign powers, namely the Austrian and Soviet dominations. The theme of a national Hungarian religion was also dear to Hungarian Turanist circles in the 1930s and the 1940s, who looked for evidences to demonstrate a kinship between the Hungarian and Turkic peoples, and generally the origins of these "Turanian" populations in Central Asia.

In October 2013, it was revealed that Reynolds and Train had revived Big Huge Games, having reacquired the trademark at auction from the state of Rhode Island, which owned it following the bankruptcy of 38 Studios. This name was given to their new venture founded in 2013, which was formerly briefly known as SecretNewCo. In addition to Reynolds and Train, the new owners included Bryant Freitag and Dan Halka, both Big Huge Games alumni, and Vinh Trinh who had worked with Reynolds during his time as Chief Game Designer at Zynga, where Reynolds had spent much of the 2009–2013 years. More hires soon followed including many more alumni, and the new studio developed a mobile strategy game for tablets and smartphones called DomiNations, for release on iOS and Android.

The first mention of Castellum Vifredi as an urban agglomeration is from 8 July 1107. Between 800 and 1115 Castel Goffredo belonged to county of Brescia up to 1190. Later the city gave the status of free commune and when Brescia was not able to offer its defense, in 1337 preferred to place itself under the protection of Mantua and Gonzaga. After alternate dominations of the Visconti (1337), of the Gonzagas (from 1337 to 1348), again of the Visconti (from 1348 to 1404), of Malatesta (from 1404 to 1426), of the Republic of Venice (from 1426 to 1431 and again from 1439 to 1441) and finally of the Gonzagas (from 1441), in 1466 with Alessandro Gonzaga the village became an imperial fief autonomous and he saw the birth of Marquess of Castel Goffredo.

Sayers had charted the developing relationship between Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane over four published novels, culminating in Busman's Honeymoon, the action of which takes place immediately following the couple's wedding. The characters appeared thereafter only in a few short stories and other published pieces, revealing only glimpses of their married life. According to Sayers' friend and biographer Barbara Reynolds, Sayers had begun work in 1936 on Thrones, Dominations, a murder mystery novel in which the Wimsey marriage was to be contrasted with those of two other couples. She apparently worked on it for some months during 1936, but does not appear to have done so thereafter; it has been suggested that this is due at least in part to the constitutional crisis of that year surrounding Edward VIII and his relationship with Wallis Simpson.

In medieval times Oristano vied for power over the whole island of Sardinia, and therefore waged wars against the other Sardinian kingdoms which culminated in the attempt to conquer the whole island during the reign (1347–75) of Mariano IV and that of his son Hugh III (1376–1383) and his daughter Eleanor (1383–1404). The Judicate of Arborea held out to be the last Sardinian kingdom to cease to exist in 1420, about 10 years after the battle of Sanluri. It was transformed in Marchesato by the Aragonese and conquered, following a revolt by the last marquess Leonardo Alagon, by the Catalan troops of the Kingdom of Aragon, in 1478 after the battle of Macomer. Thereafter, Oristano's history was that of the island of Sardinia, characterised by the Aragonese-Spanish (until 1708) and Piedmontese (from 1720) dominations, and then the unification of Italy.

A citizen of Lausanne with a bachelor in law, Jean Bagnyon began his law career as a conscindic (syndic) in Lausanne, but the city's fiscal difficulties forced him to move to Geneva. In 1481, he was chosen by Lausanne to represent the city's proposal to unite with its lower city. In 1486, he wrote a treatise in Latin — Tractatus de et super libertatibus, franchesiis, preeminenciis ac exemptionibus a subjectione dominiorum temporalium eminentis fructifere et solaciose civitatis Gebennarum, (Treatise on the freedoms, franchise, preeminences and exceptions from subjugation by worldly dominations of the eminent, fecund, and delightful city of Geneva), probably the oldest lay legal work printed in French-speaking Switzerland — with the goal of defending the rights of the city of Geneva and of proving that the city was not ruled by the Duke of Savoy, but instead that its inhabitants were subjects of the Bishop. This work was only published some years later.
