Malle does research on linear algebraic groups, finite groups of Lie type and on local-global conjectures in finite-group representation theory, e.g. the Brauer height-zero conjecture, the Alperin weight conjecture, and the McKay conjecture and its block-wise version known as the Alperin-McKay conjecture. Malle's research also deals with the Cohen-Lenstra heuristic of the structure of class groups of quadratic number fields in algebraic number theory, the asymptotic distribution of Galois groups of number fields, and with the inverse problem of Galois theory. In 1993 he began a collaboration with Michel Broué and Jean Michel concerning Spetses (named after the Greek island Σπέτσες where the program was initiated).

Joan Cwaik was born in 1990 and had a BA in Media and Entertainment Management at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), where since 2016 he teaches, does research and has coordinated its Technologic Communication Center. In 2013 he obtained a postgraduate degree in Multimedia Convergence at Buenos Aires University. In 2013 he was part of the communication team of the Net Party, a political party that proposes an online form of liquid democracy, founded by the entrepreneur Santiago Siri. He is also part of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina, which promotes the blockchain and bitcoin technology in that country. She also is a full professor at FIOCRUZ in Brazil, where in 1998 she had earned a PhD in public health, and where she now does research on infectious diseases and teaches a course named "Scientific Methodology" in the Masters and Doctoral Programs. She has been also a Professor of Health Policy at the National School of Public Health at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Brazil.

He is known for Green's Conjecture on syzygies of canonical curves. Mark Green, Berkeley 1973 Green received in 1968 his bachelor's degree from MIT and in 1972 his PhD from Princeton University under Phillip Griffiths with thesis Some Picard Theorems for Holomorphic Maps to Algebraic Varieties. In 1970/71 Green was a Procter Fellow in Princeton. He was an instructor from 1972 to 1974 at the University of California, Berkeley and for the academic year 1974/75 at MIT.

Meeting Misuzu's eccentric aunt Haruko Kamio (Aya Hisakawa), and getting a hangover the next morning from drinking with her, Yukito accompanies Misuzu throughout the town as she does research for her project. As the two become closer, the story of Kannabi no Mikoto, or Kanna for short begins to unfold, telling how Kanna, the last of the winged beings, fell in love with her guardian Ryūya (Nobutoshi Canna) while being sequestered in a palace under penalty of death if she attempted to leave. The two eventually become lovers, Kanna reveals her desire to see the ocean and use her wings to fly to her mother, whom she was separated from at birth. Apparently, Ryūya decides to help Kanna see her dream of the ocean and the two plot their escape.

Meanwhile, Sjakie gets mixed up with another patient at hospital, only to wake up in the morning to discover he has had a transgender operation. After some days, Johnny, daughter Kees and son Kees meet the muggers from Central Park again and get chased by them through the streets of Manhattan, resulting in the muggers crashing into the New York Stock Exchange, after which the Flodder siblings are arrested. However, when finding the business card of Geoffrey, the police immediately release them, after which the Flodders are met by Geoffrey who asks whether he can take daughter Kees out for the night, which Johnny only allows when Geoffrey pays him $5000. Although daughter Kees is not enthusiastic about Geoffrey, one of his advisers fears the worst and does research on the Flodder family.

Mary decides to take a holiday in California with her sister, who knows Dr. Chase, and is persuaded to see the psychiatrist to find out if he can help with her nightmares. Initially, Dr. Chase does not believe Lesley, thinking her nightmares to be related to childhood abuse, but becomes convinced something else is happening when Mary tells him of similar experiences. Neil is struck by the similarities between the two cases, and realises that symbols seen on board an alien ship and drawn by Mary are similar to that of another patient of his, a former soldier who encountered a crashed UFO which was recovered by the government. Making contact with a university professor who does research into alien abductions, he begins to investigate the wider world of alien encounters, and runs into a general who is investigating UFOs in secret.

David William Boyd (born 17 September 1941) is a Canadian mathematician who does research on harmonic and classical analysis, inequalities related to geometry, number theory, and polynomial factorization, sphere packing, number theory involving Diophantine approximation and Mahler's measure, and computer computations. Boyd received in 1963 his B.Sc. with Honours from Carleton University, then in 1964 his M.A. and in 1966 his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto under Paul George Rooney with thesis The Hilbert transformation on rearrangement invariant Banach spaces. Boyd became in 1966–67 an assistant professor at the University of Alberta, in 1967–70 an assistant professor and in 1970–71 an associate professor at the California Institute of Technology, and in 1971–74 an associate professor, in 1974–2007 a professor, and since 2007 a professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia. Boyd has done research on classical and harmonic analysis, including interpolation spaces, integral transforms, and potential theory, and research on inequalities involving geometry, number theory, polynomials, and applications to polynomial factorization.

After receiving his doctorate at Brown University, Landis worked at the NASA Lewis Research Center (now NASA Glenn) and the Ohio Aerospace Institute before accepting a permanent position at the NASA John Glenn Research Center, where he does research on Mars missions, solar energy, and technology development for future space missions. He holds nine patents, and has authored or co-authored more than 300 published scientific papers in the fields of astronautics and photovoltaics. Landis has commented on the practicalities of generating oxygen and creating building materials for a future Moon base in New Scientist, and on the possibilities of using readily available metallic iron to manufacture steel on Mars.
