Finghall railway station is on the Wensleydale Railway and serves the village of Finghall in North Yorkshire, England. Adjacent to the station is a manually operated gated crossing on the single-track Wensleydale Railway. The station was opened as Finghall Lane by the Bedale and Leyburn Railway on 19 May 1856. It was closed in April 1954, but was used sporadically between 1984 and 1988 for detraining passengers on DalesRail services.

"C" Flight was ordered to La Gorgue, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and attach to 43 Sqn RAF. Upon detraining at La Gorgue, the men were marched several miles to Estaires to spend the night. In June 1920, the rail service to Yaquina City, and the processing of detraining and boarding the Newport, came under newspaper criticism. Only one train per day was now running, and the cargo transfer facilities had deteriorated, with the pier that once supported the train having rotted partially away. An unattended 26 space parking lot is available at the station, but long-term parking is discouraged. Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo is a station on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line and Orange County Line of the Metrolink commuter rail system around Southern California. Originally built to serve Metrolink, the station became a stop for Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner in 2007 but is currently not used as a limited Amtrak stop on the Pacific Surfliner route. Total daily ridership for Metrolink and Amtrak was about 500 passengers in fiscal year 2009. Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo was the 71st-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately seven passengers daily.

However, SMART buses were banned from the station in December 2016 as part of a long-running issues with the former owner of the land on which the station sits. A deal was struck in June 2017 allowing SMART to directly access the station again. Of the 22 Michigan stations regularly served by Amtrak, Troy was the thirteenth-busiest in the Fiscal Year 2015, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 64 passengers daily. Although the Troy Transit Center replaced Birmingham station in early October 2014, the ridership for remained consistent following the change of stations.

It is situated in the middle of a rough triangle formed by the three freeways in the city (California State Route 99, California State Route 41, and California State Route 180) and is easily accessible from all three. Lieutenant General Lord Methuen, commander of the 1st Division, was tasked with raising the Boer siege of Kimberley and moved his force by rail to Belmont station in the northern Cape Province. Upon detraining, they came under fire from a small force of Boers led by Commandant J. Prinsloo on Belmont Kopje. By the next morning, the British were in position to shell and then charge the hill despite some losses. The Boers retreated to their horses at the back of the koppie and fell back to Graspan, rejoining the larger force of Free-Staters and Transvaalers under the command of Prinsloo and respectively.

BNSF Railway leases office space on the second floor of the station and owns the platform and track. The Tudor Revival station building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and is known therein as the Great Northern Railway Passenger and Freight Depot and Division Office or as the Whitefish Depot. Of the 12 Montana stations served by Amtrak, Whitefish is by far the busiest, boarding or detraining an average of about 170 passengers daily. Whitefish typically handles more than four times as many passengers as the next-busiest Montana station, which varies from year to year between East Glacier Park, Havre, and Shelby.

Until a 2017-2018 renovation project, the platform at the station was substantially shorter than platforms at other stations on The Red Line as well as shorter than the train itself. Therefore, selective door operation was used; only the first door in the first car adjacent to the operator cab opened while at the platform, requiring detraining passengers to walk to the front of the first car to disembark while passengers who are boarding could only do so though the same one door. From 2017 to 2019, a renovation project was undertaken to add second entrance on East 105th Street was planned after a new bridge was built on East 105th Street.

At the same time, Generals Jurech and Imro, in the west of the country began to form units to support Malár as Slovak officers and conscripts began to return from Bohemia and Moravia, but their move to the east was delayed because roads and railways became crowded with Czech troops being repatriated in the opposite direction. The army, divided into two groups, northern and southern, was concentrated southwest of Warsaw (in the triangle between Kielce, Radom, and Tomaszów Mazowiecki), as Marshall Edward Śmigły-Rydz was convinced that main German thrust would be directed at Warsaw, via Łódź. Northern group of Prusy Army was planned to be concentrated in the area Koluszki-Łowicz-Skierniewice, while its southern group was located in the area marked by the towns of Skarżysko-Kamienna-Opoczno-Radom. After detraining, the units of the Army were to take positions in the following towns: 44th I.D. - Sochaczew, 13th I.D - Regny, 19th I.D. - Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Wilno Cavalry Brigade - Piotrków Trybunalski, 29th I.D. - Sulejów, 36th I.D. - Opoczno, 12th I.D. - Końskie, 3rd I.D. - Skarżysko-Kamienna, 39th I.D. - Kozienice.

Trans-Siberian car attendant Amtrak sleeping car attendant A car attendant is a railroad employee placed in charge of a single coach, sleeping car, or lounge car on a medium-to-long-distance passenger train. Their duties vary according to the type of car, but most typically include managing passenger seat assignments (in order to avoid separating parties of two or more), assisting the conductor with tickets, making announcements, opening and closing doors, assisting passengers with boarding and detraining, monitoring the safe operation of onboard systems, and generally ensuring the safe operation of the car. In addition, sleeping car attendants (formerly called "Pullman porters") typically convert the individual accommodations from "day" mode to "night" mode, rather than leaving that to the passengers, and set out coffee and juice for their passengers each morning. (Sleeping car attendants, however, typically have fewer passengers to serve than coach attendants).

The BEF next moved to the Ypres sector, 4th Division detraining at St Omer and taking part in the Battle of Armentieres. Influenced by his sluggish corps commander, Pulteney, Wilson did not push on, and even withdrew a battalion that was making good progress, but he did eventually secure the crossings of the River Lys and the town of Armentieres.Farrar-Hockley, Ypres 1914, pp. 59–69. During the 1st Battle of Messines on 1 November, 4th Division's rifle fire held off an attack by the German Guard Cavalry Division ordered personally by the Kaiser, and did not need to retire to positions that had been prepared in the rear. She arrived in Britain on 13 April, having sailed 3400 miles with a damaged stern and steering by engines, an achievement which led to her master, a man named Bayer, being awarded the OBE. After full repairs, Llangibby Castle returned to service as a troopship, and took part in Operation Torch on 9 November 1942, during which she was hit by a shell from a shore battery, and had one man killed.. On 25 November, after detraining their Matilda, Valentine and Crusader tanks, trucks and supplies at the railway goods yard in Greenock, on the west coast of Scotland, both A & B Armoured Squadrons of the Lothians and Border Horse loaded their battle equipment and crews on the Llangibby Castle, with C Squadron arriving the next day. In all, some 52 tanks, 11 light tanks, 6 scout cars and an armoured command vehicle along with at least a dozen large 3-ton trucks, 15-cwt trucks and numerous motorcycles and spares were loaded.
