The flowering stem is long and bears up to six resupinate white or greenish to apricot-coloured flowers long and wide. The dorsal sepal is erect, oblong, long and wide. The lateral sepals are a curved triangular shape, long and about wide.

In Spring 1990, French artist Jannot Derid held an exhibition in a cylinder-shaped igloo in the same area. One night there were no rooms available in the town, so some of the visitors asked for permission to spend the night in the igloo at the exhibition hall.

Liparis condylobulbon is an epiphytic or lithophytic, clump-forming herb with crowded, glossy green, cylinder-shaped pseudobulbs long and wide. Each pseudobulb has two thin, linear to lance- shaped leaves and wide. Between fifteen and thirty five pale green to cream- coloured flowers, long and wide are borne on a stiff flowering stem long. The sepals are long and about wide, the petals a similar length but narrower.

The single functional stamen has a white anther, about 1.2 cm long, with yellowish-green 6–8 mm long spurs formed from the connective tissue between the two capsules of the anther. Mezze penne rigate with ridged surfaces Penne () is an extruded type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces, their ends cut at a bias. Penne is the plural form of the Italian penna (meaning feather but pen as well), deriving from Latin penna (meaning "feather" or "quill"), and is a cognate of the English word pen. When this format was created, it was intended to imitate the then- ubiquitous fountain pen's steel nibs.

The humerus is straight with a moderately developed deltopectoral crest. The ulna is slender and cylinder-shaped with a length of 70% of that of the humerus. The wrist consists of two elements only: a radial bone capping the lower end of the radius and a disc-shaped bone below it; this is either the enlarged first lower carpal or a perfect seamless fusion of the first and second lower carpal. Finnish TV presenter Hannu Karpo often wore a karvalakki on his show, Karpolla on asiaa. In Finnish, the expression karvalakkimalli ("furry cap model") means a bare-bones, no-frills model, meaning the cheapest and most basic model that just works and does nothing extra. The term can also be used to describe anything that is very basic.
Anik E1 and Anik E2 were launched in the early 1990s to replace Anik D1 and Anik D2. Unlike the cylinder-shaped spin-stabilised satellites of the D-series, these were cubical, 3-axis satellites using momentum wheels for attitude stabilisation. Anik E2 experienced an anomaly during deployment of its C-band antenna, which was successfully deployed after several corrective maneuvers. Vortex is a vertical, slender and cylinder-shaped device. It is composed of a fixed piece where the device is attached to a base anchoring, and a flexible part which, acting as a cantilever, interacts freely with the fluid in an oscillation movement. Roman mausoleum of Córdoba. The Roman mausoleum of Córdoba is an ancient structure in the Jardines de la Victoria, Córdoba, Andalusia, southern Spain. It is a funerary monument of cylinder-shaped that corresponded to a group of funerary monuments of the Republican era, built in the 1st century AD. It was discovered in 1993 during archaeological excavations. It includes the chamber tomb that housed the Urn, as well as remains of the basement, cornices, and crenellated parapet.

Schlumbergera microsphaerica resembles other species of the genus Schlumbergera in that it has leafless green stems, made up of distinct segments, which act as photosynthetic organs. However, most other species have strongly flattened stems, whereas S. microsphaerica has branching stems made up of narrow, more or less cylinder- shaped segments, each long by in diameter. Mimetes splendidus or splendid pagoda is an evergreen, rather sparsely branching, upright shrub of up to 2½ m (8 ft) high from the family Proteaceae. It has broadly lance-shaped to oval, silvery-hairy leaves with three or four teeth crowded at the tip. It has cylinder-shaped inflorescences that consists of many heads, each containing eleven to thirteen flowers, in the axils of the highest leaves. These leaves form a hood over a lower flowerhead and are flushed orangy pink.

The Lindholme Gear was developed at RAF Lindholme by Group Waring during the 1940s to provide a simpler rescue system than the air- dropped lifeboats then in use. The Lindholme Gear is five cylinder-shaped containers joined together by lengths of floating rope. The centre container would house a nine-man inflatable dinghy with the other containers housing survival equipment such as emergency rations and clothing. The containers were discarded containers from the tail-units of 500lb and 250lb bombs.

Melaleuca carrii is a small shrub growing to a height of with bark that is fibrous and grooved. Its leaves are arranged alternately, long and usually wide, usually glabrous, cylinder-shaped and tapering to a point. The flowers are a shade of pink to purple and are arranged in heads on the ends of branches which continue to grow after flowering, sometimes also in the upper leaf axils. The heads are up to in diameter and contain 5 to 12 groups of flowers in threes.

If a Mitsubishi-designed engine has low compression, the MCA-Jet valve(s) could be the cause. Each MCA-Jet valve and valve seat are a self-contained cylinder-shaped unit that screws into the cylinder head for easy replacement.
The pentagonal house of the chateau, in the midst of restoration work in 2014 The pentagonal house was built with five equal sides of about 17 m surrounding a hollow cylinder shaped well. Adjacent to the central space is a large spiral staircase which connects all five levels and the terrace at the top. Each pentagonal corner has a tower. Three of the towers have a staircase, probably intended for servants, allowing the central staircase to be reserved for the owners and their guests.

Liparis condylobulbon, commonly known as the tapered sphinx orchid or 细茎羊耳蒜 (xi jing yang er suan) is a plant in the orchid family. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic orchid with crowded, glossy green, cylinder-shaped pseudobulbs, each with two linear to lance-shaped leaves and between fifteen and thirty five pale green to cream-coloured flowers with an orange labellum. This orchid usually grows on trees and rocks in rainforest from Taiwan and Indochina to the south-west Pacific.
Dak-han-mari The dak hanmari (닭한마리) is a popular South Korean dish to have developed from baeksuk, which is said to originate in Dongdaemun area, Seoul since the 1960s. The dish literally means "a whole chicken" in Korean because diners can have several types of food altogether from a chicken; chicken flesh, its rich soup, kalguksu, potatoes, and garaetteok (cylinder-shaped rice cake). It can be eaten with a clear broth just like baeksuk, or seasoned with gochujang (chili pepper paste) based sauce.
In most species the segments are strongly flattened (cladodes), being made up of a central core with two (or more rarely three) "wings". Special structures characteristic of cacti, called "areoles", then occur at the ends of the segments of the stem. In two species the stems are less flattened, more cylinder-shaped, and the areoles are arranged in a more or less spiral pattern all over the segments. A four-man survey party from No. 5 Mobile Works Squadron RAAF arrived on Goodenough Island on 3 January 1943. They selected Beli Beli Bay as a suitable site for an anchorage. Here, a 5,000 ton (14,000 m3) ship could anchor half a mile (0.8 km) offshore with some degree of shelter from the south-east and north-west.
The lighthouse by night The need for the lighthouse was first raised by the Northern Lights Commissioners in 1854 and was quickly approved, but delays in agreeing the details for the light and that of the buildings meant that construction did not start until two years later in 1856. The design and construction was overseen by the notable lighthouse engineers Thomas and David Stevenson. The light first entered service in 1858, and consists of a high cylinder-shaped tower, which is painted white. It supports a single gallery and a lantern with a black cupola.
The digital cylindrical printing process involves inserting a cylinder-shaped item, or part, into a fixture, which securely holds it in place. The part then travels under a print head mechanism in which tiny droplets of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) inks are released in a specific pattern to form an image. The Mascarene Islands of Mauritius, Réunion and Rodrigues once harboured five species of giant tortoise, comprising two species occurring on Mauritius, another two on Rodrigues, and one on Réunion. The tortoises were unique to these islands and had gained a number of special adaptations in the absence of ground predators. They differed from any other giant tortoise species because of their modified jaws, reduced scales on the legs and shells averaging just 1mm thick. The shells of the giant tortoises were open-ended; the name Cylindraspis actually means cylinder-shaped.
Tteokmanduguk (rice cake dumpling soup) The broth is generally made by simmering the main protein (beef, chicken, pork, pheasant, seafood) in a ganjang-seasoned stock. The stock is then strained to clarify the broth, and long cylinder-shaped garaetteok are thin-sliced diagonally and boiled in the clear broth. Garnish is added before serving; the garnish may vary by region and personal taste, but usual staples are pan-fried julienned egg yolks and whites, gim and spring onions.A drizzle of sesame oil is common just prior to serving the teokguk.

Mimetes chrysanthus (also called golden pagoda) is an evergreen, upright shrub of 1½–2 m (5–6½ ft) high that has been assigned to the family Proteaceae. It has green, slightly stalked oval leaves of 3–4½ cm (1.2–1.8 in) long and 1–1¾ cm (0.4–0.7 in) wide. The inflorescences are near the tip of the branches, cylinder-shaped and consist of 50–70 densely cropped flower heads, each in the axil of a green leaf, consisting of 25–35 golden yellow, faintly sweet scented flowers. It is endemic to the Fynbos ecoregion of South Africa and is found in two locations, in the Western Cape province.
In 1995, due to a landslip, Karapınar was relocated to a lower elevation 10 km south of the site of the old village. Living in the old village was very hard and grueling, with only a very limited means of transportation, other than on mules and horses. The approximately oval leaves are 3½–5 cm (1.4–2.0 in) long and 1½–3 cm (0.6–1.2 in) wide with a blunt, thickened, reddish tip or with three crowded teeth. Mimetes arboreus, or Kogelberg pagoda, is an evergreen, upright large shrub or small tree of 2–6 m (6½–20 ft) high in the family Proteaceae. It grows from a thick trunk with a smooth grey bark that branches at ½–1 m (1½–3 ft) above the ground. It has silvery, lance-shaped, pointy leaves of 5–8¼ cm (2.0–3.3 in) long and ¾–3¼ cm (0.3–1.3 in) wide, at an upward angle and overlapping each other. It has silvery, oval leaves of 5–8 cm (2.0–3.2 in) long and –4 cm (1.0–1.6 in) wide, with one large tooth supported by two smaller teeth near the tip, at an upward angle and somewhat overlapping each other. The inflorescences are set just below the growing tip, are cylinder-shaped, 10–12 cm (4–5 in) high, topped by a crest of small, more or less horizontal, pinkish-purple tinged leaves. It consists of several flower heads in the axils of golden leaves with a pinkish wash that form a hood shielding the underlying flower head.
The Puerto del Rosario Light is the main navigation marker for the shipping arriving at the port on the eastern side of the island. It lies between the Punta Martiño Lighthouse on the island of Lobos to the north and the Punta La Entallada Lighthouse in Tuineje to the south. The lighthouse first entered service in 1992, as part of the third maritime lighting plan for the Canaries, other lighthouses that were built as part of the same plan include Punta Lava and Arenas Blancas on La Palma, Punta del Castillete on Gran Canaria and Morro Jable also on Fuerteventura. It consists of a 43 m high cylinder-shaped tower, which is white in colour, this supports twin galleries and a lantern with a grey cupola.

The bract subtending the individual flower is line- to awl-shaped, 5–8 mm (0.20–0.32 in) long and about 1 mm (0.04 in) wide, hairless except for a row of minute hairs along the edges. The 4-merous perianth is 3–4 cm (1.2–1.4 in) long and straight.
Serruria elongata is a small, hairless shrub of 1–1½ m (3½–5 ft) high with upright or rising stems. Its leaves are arranged in what appears to be a whorl at the base of the inflorescence stalk, are 5–12½ cm (2–5 in) long twice or more feather-shaped divided in the upper half to third, with about sixty segments, hairless or young leaves sometimes felty. The primary branches of the inflorescence stalk are up to about 6 cm (2¼ in) in length and mostly carry several heads, each of which is subtended by a lance-shaped bract of 4–8 mm (0.16–0.32 in) long, with a pointy or pointed tip (or acute or acuminate). The stalks that carry the individual flower heads are 4–6 mm (0.16–0.24 in) long, hairless, and lack or have a very small bract. Flower heads are about 1½ cm (0.6 in) across.
