The other runners included Squeak, unbeaten in four races including the Lancashire Oaks, Papering, and Crown of Light (third in the Epsom Oaks). Holland restrained My Emma at the back of the field as Whitewater Affair set the pace, but began to make progress in the straight. My Emma overtook Whitewater Affair inside the final furlong and won "comfortably" by three quarters of a length, with Crown of Light taking third ahead of Reams of Verse. My Emma's final race was the 1997 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, a race which had been her long-term target since the end of her three-year-old season.

A small tree, from 1 to 6 metres high, usually with a single trunk. The crown of light branches carries simple, unlobed leaves. The flowering inflorescence is from 5 cm to 30 cm long, and carries 4 to 20 long, narrow flower buds. The narrow, slightly membranous flower petal are green-white.

Its location marked the beginning and end of the great processions of the cathedral chapter on Sundays and holidays. The chandelier served as a symbol of righteousness.

After Endarno has been chosen, he makes the life of the Guardians difficult by trying to prove to the Congregation that they are too young and immature. He also convinced the Congregation that Elyon, the queen and the Light of Meridian, is dangerous and unfit to rule over Metamoor. Many times he tried to get the Guardians to arrest their old friend and bring him the Crown of Light. But W.I.T.C.H. managed to hide Elyon from Endarno by smuggling her back to Earth and had Orube protect her.

Reams of Verse was hampered in the straight as Fallon struggled to obtain room for a challenge and had to switch to the outside. Once in the clear, the filly finished strongly to take the lead inside the final furlong and took the classic by one and a half lengths from Gazelle Royale and Crown of Light. After the race, Fallon claimed that he was never worried, as he trusted in the filly's "turn of foot" (acceleration). After a break of well over two months, Reams of Verse reappeared against older fillies in the Yorkshire Oaks.

In 2016 former monastic buildings around the cloister, including the Monks' Dormitory and Prior's Kitchen, were re-opened to the public as Open Treasure, an extensive exhibition displaying the cathedral's history and possessions. In November 2009 the cathedral featured in the Lumiere festival whose highlight was the "Crown of Light" illumination of the North Front of the cathedral with a 15-minute presentation that told the story of Lindisfarne and the foundation of cathedral, using illustrations and text from the Lindisfarne Gospels. The Lumiere festival was repeated in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017. Durham Priory held many manuscripts; in the 21st century, steps were under way to digitise the books, originating from the 6th to the 16th century.

Eight graphic novels were published by Hyperion Books in the United States. They were first released in 2005, each of them containing two issues from the comic book series. Included in every graphic novel was a miniature poster relating to the W.I.T.C.H. franchise.
