The ancestral bon-puri are dedicated to the patron gods of families and occupations, who are often not actually perceived as ancestors. For example, the bon-puri of the god Yeongdeung, associated with fishing, is performed only by shamans whose families are fishermen. The identity of the deity that is worshipped varies. During her return to the Crones Milla uses a special form of breathing meditation that focuses her entire being on one thought and purpose. She uses this to force herself to continue onwards so that she can deliver her story and sunstone to the Mother Crone.

The effects of this make her lose any minor self-preservation but it does force her to protect her own life. She kills Arla with the Talon of Danir in the process when Arla attempts to stop her. The effects of this deep form of meditation are supposed to be fatal, but the Crones manage to keep her alive. In spite of the deep mental connections between the human and Spiritshadow, the meditation does not affect Odris.

He was formally installed as archbishop on February 9, 1916, and was appointed an Assistant at the Pontifical Throne on May 8, 1920. The Erinyes live in Erebus and are more ancient than any of the Olympian deities. Their task is to hear complaints brought by mortals against the insolence of the young to the aged, of children to parents, of hosts to guests, and of householders or city councils to suppliants—and to punish such crimes by hounding culprits relentlessly. The Erinyes are crones and, depending upon authors, described as having snakes for hair, dog's heads, coal black bodies, bat's wings, and blood-shot eyes. In their hands they carry brass-studded scourges, and their victims die in torment.

In Greece the Moirai (the "Fates") are the three crones who control destiny, and the matter of it is the art of spinning the thread of life on the distaff. Ariadne, the wife of the god Dionysus in Minoan Crete, possessed the spun thread that led Theseus to the center of the labyrinth and safely out again. Among the Olympians, the weaver goddess is Athena, who, despite her role, was bested by her acolyte Arachne, who was turned later into a weaving spider. The daughters of Minyas, Alcithoe, Leuconoe and their sister, defied Dionysus and honored Athena in their weaving instead of joining his festival.

Löfström and reverend L Wickelgren in the board of directors. Carl Johan Jehander, also known as Swedish railway king ("Järnvägskungen"), was chosen as general contractor at a value of 1,29 mio Crones. The survey of the track commenced on 30 April 1887. On 12 June 1887 the ground-breaking ceremony was held near Skedala. It was planned to connect the railway line to the line of Halmstad–Nässjö Järnvägsaktiebolag, which operated the line from Halmstad to Nässjö, which had been opened in 1882.

They make alliances with the Freefolk before she decides it is time for her to go back. By this time, she assures herself that once she returns to her clan to give the Sunstone and to pass down what she has learned from her exploits in the Castle, she will commit suicide by giving herself to the Ice, not willing to bear the shame of having a shadow bound to her. However, when she does return, the Crones judge her differently and make her a War-Chief, assigned to lead the Icecarls' battle against the Castle to protect the Veil. Also, during her trip back, she discovers a weapon which has devastating effects against shadow creatures.

In the Climate Summit of 2015, Colombia, Germany, Norway, and the United Kingdom signed a Joint Declaration to strengthen collaboration on the climate and forests in Colombia. Norway has committed to a total of 1.8 billion Norwegian crones to Colombia within 2020. The project has been adopted as a national policy and priority in the new National Development Plan 2014-2018.
