The organization uses all volunteer labor, and board meetings are regularly held. The Seniors Centre members are also proud of their free coffee service, since they are the only place that provides public coffee service in Montmartre. Activities and games such as pool games, bingo, cribbage, and shuffleboard are provided at the Seniors Club, and there are more exercises, gatherings, and even monthly birthday card parties held.

In the early to mid-1980s, Thorn EMI Video Programmes released a number of games for several home computer formats, initially under their own name. They received a lukewarm reception with no major hits (though Snooker and Billiards did reach No. 6 in the UK Atari Charts). Strzelczyk took up riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, after signing with the Steelers. When he purchased his first bike at a bike- purchase celebration with teammates Ariel Solomon and Jerry Olsavsky in Oakland, Strzelczyk rammed into a couple of parked cars, denting only the fuel tank and his bike. Tunbridge ware became popular with visitors to the spa town of Tunbridge Wells, who bought them as souvenirs and gifts. Articles included cribbage boards, paperweights, writing slopes, snuff boxes and glove boxes. At the Great Exhibition of 1851, Tunbridge ware by Edmund Nye, Robert Russell and Henry Hollamby was shown; Edmund Nye received a commendation from the judges for his work.

Kamehameha was decommissioned on 2 April 2002 and stricken from the Naval Vessel Register the same day. She was the last of the original "41 for Freedom" fleet ballistic missile submarines in service, and the oldest submarine in the United States Navy at the time of her decommissioning. The wardroom of the oldest submarine in the fleet carried Richard O'Kane's personal cribbage board, and upon the Kamehamehas decommissioning the board was transferred to the next oldest boat, . Upon her decommissioning, Kamehameha had been the longest serving nuclear-powered submarine in history, with a total service period exceeding 37 years.

Card games for one player are known as solitaire or patience card games. (See list of solitaire card games.) Generally speaking, they are in many ways special and atypical, although some of them have given rise to two- or multi-player games such as Spite and Malice. In card games for two players, usually not all cards are distributed to the players, as they would otherwise have perfect information about the game state. Two-player games have always been immensely popular and include some of the most significant card games such as piquet, bezique, sixty-six, klaberjass, gin rummy and cribbage.

Her scrapping at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard via the Ship and Submarine Recycling Program was completed on 30 November 2006.

Many quilled art can be found on cabinets and stands, cribbage boards, ladies' purses, a wide range of both pictures and frames, work baskets, tea caddies, coats of arms and wine coasters. Storage boxes, larger than most jewelry boxes with drawers and/or tops that opened, quilled lock boxes, and more popular is quilling jewelry in recent times became a trend for fashion lovers, as they can be very light and easy to carry on them. Until the Gambling Act 2005, the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 prohibited "betting and the passing of betting slips" in licensed premises, that is those licensed to sell alcohol. Six specific games, Pool, Cribbage, Darts, Bar billiards, Shove-halfpenny and Dominoes could be "played for small stakes on those parts of the premises open to the public". A notice to the effect had to be posted in a prominent place. It is legal to place bets via mobile phones from a pub, even through the pub's wi-fi connection, but only for oneself, not for another.

Merdel bought game manufacturer William F. Drueke & Sons Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1992 for just under a half-million dollars. Drueke was attractive to Merdel because they manufactured parts and boards to family-oriented games like backgammon, checkers, cribbage and chess. At one time in the 20th century Drueke was the only domestic manufacturer of chess sets; in the 21st century it was in financial difficulty and nearly went out of business. Drueke with its employees and equipment were merged into the games division of Merdel after it was acquired and moved its manufacturing operations from Grand Rapids to Ludington.

Kewaskum HS offers a wide variety of activities, clubs, and sports. Kewaskum High School is also a member of the WIAA for sports such as football, boys' and girls' basketball, girls' volleyball, boys' and girls' golf, cross country, summer baseball, wrestling, track and field, boys' and girls' soccer, softball boys' and girls' bowling, girls' hockey, and boys' and girls' tennis. Other clubs and activities include but are not limited to chess club, Key club, Spanish club, cribbage club, mock trial, National Honor Society, band, choir, show choir, drama, theater, musical, and more. Kewaskum is a member of the East Central Conference and is predominately known for football.

Only once did he have a painting refused, and said that this was a picture in his early years. Prestwich Cricket, Tennis & Bowling Club, commonly known as PCTBC or Prestwich Cricket Club, is an English multi-sports club from the town of Prestwich, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, England. With over 500 members, the club has four official sporting sections fielding amateur teams in cricket, tennis, crown green bowling and association football. Boasting a large social membership section, the club also has teams playing a variety of other sports including cribbage, darts, dominoes, five-a-side football and netball. The club was the first multi-sports club in the UK to achieve Clubmark or equivalent accreditation's in all its official sporting sections.

Dr. Saunders, an English doctor, is in Takana, an island in the Dutch East Indies, waiting to return home to Fu-Chou in China after performing an eye operation on a local merchant. While waiting he meets Captain Nichols, skipper of the lugger the Fenton, and Fred Blake, his only passenger. The relation between the cunning-looking Nichols, and the educated- looking, sullen young man Blake, intrigues Saunders; he arranges to have a passage on the Fenton where he can treat Nichols' chronic dyspepsia, and thereby begin his return home. While they are at sea Nichols and Blake play cribbage for money, Blake usually winning.

Gavin Smith (September 4, 1968 – January 14, 2019) was a Canadian professional poker player who won the World Poker Tour's Season IV Mirage Poker Showdown Championship event and the WPT Season IV Player of the Year award in 2005, then at the 2010 World Series of Poker, won the $2,500 Mixed Hold 'em event along with his first bracelet. Smith learned how to play cards by playing cribbage and rummy with his father. He started playing poker at the age of 26, playing mixed games with co-workers. Smith became a poker dealer in 1996 and set up his own poker club in 1998 in Kitchener, Ontario.

Most notable in Standley's view, Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce visited in 1902, two years before his death. Consequently, Standley and his shop had an enormous influence on what was perceived as "authentic" to these cultures. While he always accurately presented (for example) ivory cribbage boards as tourist goods, he was probably himself not aware of the extent to which ivory miniatures and carved tusks from Alaska or Athapaskan beadwork were also hybrid goods produced for the tourist trade that had begun with the gold rush. He also developed a number of therapeutic activities, including intergenerational games. Two of his creations were patented, a combination of chess and scrabble called World War Three and a variation of cribbage.

Shmith was represented internationally by the Pix agency which brought his work to the cover of LIFE magazine of 3 Aug 1942; his portrait of the son of General MacArthur who was in the country with his family at the time.LIFE, 3 Aug, Vol. 13, No. 5, cover, p.66, 67, ISSN 0024-3019, Time Inc Inside were several of his pictures illustrating a story on the general’s pretty wife and his son whiling away a Melbourne winter, while for a previous issue, 27 Jul 1942, Shmith had provided a photograph of MacArthur’s air commander Lieutenant General George H. Brett playing cribbage (with ‘U.S.A. cards’ and matches, emphasises the caption) in a Melbourne restaurant with Brigadier General Ralph Boyce.

As with other games like bête, the substantive form of the word "piquet" was turned into a verb and this is used substantially by Rist's 1640 Spiele: die man Picquetten, who gives the word his grudging assent. Until the early twentieth century, piquet was perhaps the most popular card game in France, occupying a similar position to cribbage in England. It first became popular in England after the marriage of Mary I of England to Philip II of Spain in 1554. During this period the game was known as cent, after the Spanish game cientos, referring to the fact that one of the chief goals of piquet is to reach 100 points.

All are continually evolving, blurring the distinction between what an art critic today might want to categorize as "traditional" versus "contemporary" Native art. And contemporary, international art values have a place in Alaska Native art. Wall-size paintings, three-dimensional mobiles, life-size bronze castings and marble sculptures, to name just a few categories, fill galleries alongside bears carved from whalebones, cribbage boards honed from full-length walrus tusks, fine jewelry etched of copper and silvers; Nephrite jade and musk ox horn polished into bracelets, bentwood boxes carved from coastal white cedar trees; and baskets of infinite shapes and designs, from birch bark or woven spruce root, beach grasses or the baleen from a bowhead whale, all intricately woven and shaped into vessels of all sizes.

Many of its rooms have views of the park and Columbia River, which make it a venue for weddings and receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, business, and community meetings. Sir John Suckling is readily recognisable in The Court Beggar in the character of the mad Sir Ferdinando, who shares Suckling's passion for cribbage and his compulsive gambling and womanising.

Rodger, who suggests Sandwich's commitments to the navy, and to politics and the arts, mean the first sandwich was more likely to have been consumed at his desk.

The first scene—"first two syllables"—displays a Turkish lord dealing with a slaver and his odalisque before being garroted by the sultan's chief black eunuch; the second—"last two syllables"—finds a Turk, his consort, and his black slave praying at sunrise when an enormous Egyptian head enters and begins singing. The answer—Agamemnon—is then acted out by Becky's husband, while she makes her (first) appearance as Clytemnestra. The politeness of a positive number is defined as the number of ways it can be expressed as the sum of consecutive integers. For every x, the politeness of x equals the number of odd divisors of x that are greater than one. The politeness of the numbers 1, 2, 3, ... is :0, 0, 1, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 0, 1, 2, 1, 1, 3, ... . For instance, the politeness of 9 is 2 because it has two odd divisors, 3 and itself, and two polite representations :9 = 2 + 3 + 4 = 4 + 5; the politeness of 15 is 3 because it has three odd divisors, 3, 5, and 15, and (as is familiar to cribbage players). three polite representations :15 = 4 + 5 + 6 = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 7 + 8. An easy way of calculating the politeness of a positive number is that of decomposing the number into its prime factors, taking the powers of all prime factors greater than 2, adding 1 to all of them, multiplying the numbers thus obtained with each other and subtracting 1. For instance 90 has politeness 5 because 90 = 2 \times 3^2 \times 5^1; the powers of 3 and 5 are respectively 2 and 1, and applying this method (2+1) \times (1+1)-1 = 5.
